Don’t order online for delivery without checking with them first. Took the order and my money - then I received a mail that the order had been cancelled. Spoke to them and they said they cancelled it because they didn’t have a delivery driver. The third party still have my money and I won’t get it back for 2-3 days. Very disappointing. Can’t pick it up so no dinner for us. Grr!

Visited on a trip to Teignmouth with some friends. Lovely food and great atmosphere in a proper cosy little Italian nook. The owner got really involved with his customers the whole way through and made us feel welcome. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent Italian restaurant. It feels like being in Italy with Italians as hosts. The food is delicious and fresh - pizza, risotto, pasta all 5*. It is so important to have places like this so please support them.

Cosy and authentic Italian pizzeria with limited covers, so booking advised. Pizza was delicious with high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was exceptional. The charismatic proprietor made sure we had a memorable evening.

I'm confused! We were the only 4 people in there. Yes ok, it wasn't peak time of year however, the waiter/owner, was brilliant. The style was traditional Italian. If you want a British Italian then don't go here, the food you get is traditional Italian. It's a shame it wasn't busier, come to this place, enjoy the waiter, enjoy the food and enjoy the experience, its great.

It's not easy to come across an Italian restaurant that is actually run by Italians and offer such a perfect pizza crust or meats cooked exactly like an Italian restaurant would. Staff is super welcoming. A worthy dinner out.

Fantastic AUTHENTIC Italian food, prepared by a very experienced (100% Italian!) chef. We had 3 course meals (a group of 6) - ALL were impressed of the service, authentic Italian atmosphere and exceptionally tasty (dream!) food!! Already planning to go back soon 🤩😂 - well worth it and great value for money for sure!!

My original order wasn’t correct but they made a new one and delivered it straight away. Top people and great food.

Wonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful atmosphere. We entered to guitar music from a fantastic host and were warmly welcomed. We have no allergies ourselves but it was clear they would be catered for as we sat down, absolutely zero complaints. We've just moved to the area and are blown away by the quality of the entire establishment. We'll be back soon!

On a birthday weekend away we wandered around teignmouth looking for somewhere special to eat that evening, we were beginning to get disheartened when we stumbled upon l'invidia tucked away and were lucky to get a table wow what a little gem ,small and intimate lovely ambiance fabulous attentive staff and truly wonderful food absolutely wonderful little restaurant nothing we could fault highly highly recommend

Superb Quattro Staggione pizza and tiramisu, plus an excellent bottle of Chianti. Wonderful.

Had one of the most hilarious evenings with the lovely Maitre D. A cabaret in itself. Loved it.

We had an absolutely lovely evening, the owner was a lot of fun, it was such a friendly atmosphere. Tony was really accommodating when we needed to add more people to our booking last minute. Food was delicious and authentic, a little piece of Italy in Teignmouth! Recommend the focaccia and tiramisu - pizzas were also gorgeous! It is TINY so be sure to book - we have tried the last few years when visiting and had no luck! Worth waiting for though, my 10yo has already requested to book in next time we come down so sounds like we have a new haunt!

Just got round to reviewing our Friday night out at Linvidia. All 5 stars are warranted as all 6 of us had fabulously freshly cooked Italian dishes. Our host Flo provided a warm welcome and continued to make us feel at home throughout the evening, this surely is one of the premier Italian dining venues in the area, we along with our friends will revisit again to sample even more of the delightful Linvidia culinary experiences. Nice one Flo!

Visited this place a few days ago and loved it! The owner was super friendly, humorous, and accommodating. My family was on a little vacation in Teignmouth and to find an Italian restaurant in the little seaside town was already a plus. We ordered pizzas on both our visits and they were AMAZING. A little slice of Italy in Teignmouth, it was really good. The owner was quite awesome with children as well. A child forgot his phone and he ran outside to hand it to him. My husband and him really clicked, and we chatted for hours. He was super sweet to our little girl, teaching her a mini hospitality course lol. She loved it and wanted to stay for 3 more weeks! It's a really nice place, so if you're in the area, best to call and make a reservation as the tables go quickly.

We really enjoyed our evening, we were welcomed with friendly, humourous and attentive staff and lovely food in a cosy restaurant! Definitely would recommend!

We were looking forward to going to this restaurant. The front of house staff were very lively and welcoming. If only the starter was the same, my baby squid were like rubber, my main sea food tagliatelle was lovely. We will not be returning. Parking is available directly behind the cafe opposite pay at the machine.

From the offset a great place to be, greeted by Florine, with characterful Italian pleasantries. Food was delicious, and served as if from a Ferrari workshop. Eccezionale!

Best Italian we have ever had and we have travelled a lot too. Pizza and pasta was fantastic. Tiramisu was lovely. Fully worth the price and the owner personally served and was so friendly and nice. My girlfriend "now wife" stayed in the same street as the resturant, we walked past a couple of times looking for a resturant!!! Its not in your face and quiet small. One evening we came home and decided we would try a pizza! I can say without doubt it was the best pizza either of us had ever tasted, we stayed there about two years ago and still talk about it, it was beautiful, a perfect pizza, and im not a pizza man, we had pizza every night from then on and cant wait to go back, my mouth is watering thing about it, fantastic perfect and beautiful, well done snd keep up the magical work, coming back as soon as we can x you get a kiss because you deserve it. Wow amazing! Truffle pizza is a favourite. Pizza takeaway is available to order via their website and pick up. Staff are friendly and food is authentic Italian and great quality. Have eaten many times and food is always amazing

I had a wondeful dining experience with a group of my friends The Italian owner who was also the front of house host was most welcoming and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would strongly recommend any of the Italian pizza's as my Stagioni pizza was delicious and fairly priced. The desert was very tasty too. Would highly recommend.

Nothing to fault here. Our server was very friendly and provided great service with great recommendations. In all honesty I've never experienced such a high class restaurant. The recommended bottle of wine was opened at the table and boiled for us. The restaurant was small, only 6 tables. Which made it a very intimate environment. It was a gorgeous restaurant. And food was stunning too, very delicious and felt authentic. Big thanks to our server who really was amazing. Don't remember his name but started with a letter F. Definitely will visit again when in the area.

Very tasty and large pizzas with great bases. They had an issue with a staff shortage so we had to choose between both eating pizza or both from the main menu. The waiter was very chatty and helpful. Pizza was around the £12 each mark.

Pizza was top tier and you can tell by the taste it was fresh 10/10

Booked a table at L'invidia with my friend and we had a fantastic evening! With fresh bread on the tables upon arrival and the amazing Flo to put a smile on your face, this lovely Italian restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The food is delicious and very authentic. I will be returning!

This is the place to be in Teignmouth. We arrived in the town 2 days prior, in January, and realised most of the restaurants were shut, apart from some takeaway places. So we decided to cook at the rental and were planning on doing that all week. Then, last night, we passed in front of L'Invidia... There were people inside and they looked happy! So we joined them and it turned out to be the best decision to end my birthday. The host was charming and funny, jumping from table to table, making everyone feel like you're in his dinning room. The food is to die for (I got the Amore Mio pizza and the tiramisu with a glass of Pinot Gris), everything looks excellent. I strongly strongly strongly recommend this place, you won't regret it. (but you should book in advance, it gets busy)

I heard they have an excellent toilet and I was not let down. 20/10 points for the toilet. Also they sell good Italian food if you're into it

My meal and experience at L’Invidia was so phenomenal, I went twice in a week. The food and service is wonderful and the owner has a great sense of humor. Will definitely be back during my next visit.

Best italian in the area by far!

The most charming, relaxing and delicious place for a meal! The service had humour (some you could give back too), the menu was great and the owner was very knowledgeable about it which was great as we could ask any question and get a quick answer. Totally made our day, we will be back!

Amazing food & outstanding service. A truly authentic Italian.

Ordered the L’invidia seafoood special and honestly have never been offered a worse pizza - so bad I couldn’t eat any of it as worries about getting ill. Apart from the sheer strangeness of putting mussels in the shell on a pizza, the fact that most of them hadn’t opened should have been a sign to anyone with a basic level of cooking skills that this should not have been served. Even worse, one of the mussel shells was damaged which is a complete no-no to serve. This was then accompanied by two whole undercooked prawns and two whole baby squid bodies with a small pile of tomatoes and 3 basil leaves. No idea who thinks this is either safe, edible or appetising but will not be using ever again

Wonderful pasta dishes and pizza. The guys are really kind and amazing on what they do. Will definitely visit again, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Really great Italian restaurant, had a fantastic experience. We had 2 pizzas which were amazing! Also worth noting, the service was flawless, waiter was very talkative and helpful about any questions we had. (We even managed to talk about music and guitars which was great). The restaurant itself it quite small but has a homely feeling to it which is lovely. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, fantastic food and service.

If you like original Italian food cooked by a native Italian (Antonio), along with excellent front of house hosting by fellow Italian "Flo", then you cannot go wrong with what these two fellas have created. It's incredible, warm and welcoming here. The food is fresh and there is plenty of variation. Pasta and traditional pizza, with the latter they can cater for gluten free options too. Amazing. Simply amazing. We will definitely return again.

Went for a meal with my friend last night. Greeted by a lovely and welcoming owner and staff. The restaurant looks stylish, nice retro feel to it. , warm atmosphere, . The menu is not large selection, but the food you get is amazing, just right portion size, so you can enjoy starter , main , side dish and pudding and do not get overfilled at the beginning... nice glass of pinot gricio, and at the end complimentary lemoncello and coffee... Must add ......the toilets looks very clean and sooo stylish..... love the stones in a sink:-)

Git a table by chance. It's a small but perfectly formed taste of Italy. Staff are very friendly, nothing appears too much trouble, and the chianti was a real delight. It's not a place if you are in a rush, it's a place to relax unwind and savour the atmosphere.

Really comforting atmosphere, traditional but friendly. The food was fantastic, we had two of their pizzas and we are happy to finally find some great pizza in the Greater Exeter area. We will definitely go back again to try some of their fantastic sounding main courses.

A nice experience generally but Previous owners were better. Starters were not great. Didn't have garlic bread. Mains were really good. Service was OK. Our waiter made a lot of effort while we ordered but stopped after that. Food was amazing though

Had dinner here last night with my husband and baby. The restaurant was very accommodating for our pushchair. The table was set up so romantic with candles and fresh bread with butter! Service was amazing and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a romantic dinner in Teignmouth.

Fabulous food and great service

Had to order takeaway online only, so could not ask about undesired ingredients as would not discuss over the phone, not good for people allergic to things, online countdown timer said 10 minutes left when they rang to say it’s been ready for ages. Once collected i had to go around to the back doors by the bins to collect the takeaway meal, this was strange and unpleasant in itself making me feel like I having leftover food, we went to the point carpark to eat whilst watching the sunset to find the meal sweaty and soggy inside the tin foil wrapping and the meal was awful!!! When we rang to complain they refused to acknowledge any wrong.

Absolutely awful customer service ! Phoned up to order a take away meal tonight which we got told we had to order online, that’s fine. Ordered online a chorizo carbonara x2 which stated it come with egg, Parmesan, and chorizo. Said it would be ready in 40 minutes. When the timer said we had 10 minutes left we headed to get our food and I received a phone call to say my food was ready and had been for a while, when I explained the online stated I still had 10 minutes the reply was “it’s been ready ages” once collected and went to eat the was sweaty and soggy from were it had clearly been sat for a while, it was also covered in spring onions. My partner is allergic to onions and I am not a fan personally so we couldn’t eat the food. Once double checking online to make sure this was not my mistake I phoned the restaurant as I wasn’t sure if we had the correct meals. The response I had was very blunt and rude from the guy on the phone, when I explained my issues he said I could of clicked a button at the end of my orders for no onions, when I explained I didn’t realise the meal would come with onions so why would I do that he was just very blunt and kept repeating himself ! He stated that next time I should press the no onions button ( there won’t be a next time) I asked for a refund on the meals as the bill was £26 and I offered to take the food back and although I know this is no good to him it also was no good to us, I didn’t want them to think I was trying to pull a fast one. He point blank refused to refund anything as said he doesn’t see the issue due to all allergies being listed at the bottom of the menu. I personally wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody especially if you have to order online and you can not double check that the meals don’t contain certain items! Such a shame as heard good things about this restaurant previously.

We arrived without any booking and the staff were very accommodating. They were able to squeeze us in at the last moment. I ordered the seabass and it was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The vegetables were a good accompaniment to the seabass. Despite the dish being a little smaller than expected, it was very filling and incredibly tasty. I would highly recommend any to visit this small Italian restaurant as the staff are attentive and helpful. Good food, nice company and a nice atmosphere. Well worth visiting if you are in the local area.

Fresh home cooked Italian food, not high street stuff, real authentic, homemade Italian cuisine. The head chef is extremely knowledgeable and cooks to a very high standard. The manager/owner from the minute you walk in he makes you feel at home the service is a 100% would highly recommend 👌
