Kwuns has been our favourite Chinese takeaway for several years now, and during a recent closure we tried somewhere else and were very disappointed. Kwuns food is always so fresh and tasty. It is very hot when delivered too, so we often divide our meal into starter and main, without the need to reheat. Delivery is also usually very quick. Only downside - we wish there were vegetarian pancake rolls on the menu. The small vegetarian spring rolls don't have much filling at all!

We have been ordering from Kwuns for so many years now, and we always thought it was the best in Sittingbourne. Unfortunately this has changed recently as the food quality has slowly declined in the past few months. The grilled dumplings, which were one of our favourite dishes, now arrive with most of them destroyed and have lack of taste. We have never eaten dumplings in such poor condition and quality from anywhere else. The crispy duck used to be great but once again turned up very dry and it doesn’t come cheap at nearly £11 for a quarter, this is happening every time we order it now. The chicken with ginger and spring onions along with the chicken and noodle soup wasn’t too bad, but we have had better from here in the past, the soup had a funny taste and no much taste. We are tired of it now, and we will not be ordering from Kwun again. It really is a shame that things don’t seem to be good as they used to be. Antonio & Martin

WOW...just wow. The best Chinese me and my boyfriend have ever had. Don’t usually like satay sauce... but this was AMAZING, so delicious and excellent value for money. Definitely be back again. Brilliant customer service too! Couldn’t fault the place.

First time ordering from here, new in the area. Honestly the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in 10+ years - everything was outstanding and the food came half an hour early of the hour and half estimate. Will be back again many times, honestly so nice! Even the crispy chilli beef actually had beef in it usually just batter lol😂

Both the beef and mushroom and the chicken szechuan tasted like they had half a bag of salt in them. The beef was inedible and the deep fried crispy chilli beef were not crispy. Not a good meal

Food ok, spring rolls not up to much. In reply to your answer, it wasn't that they were not crispy, that wasn't the issue! The size of them was! We are used to Hot Woks and they give you a proper size one! But that is fine with us as we will go back to them next time, just thought we would give you a try? But better to stick with what you know I guess, Cheers.

The only good thing about this take away is the delivery. The food is tubs of grease, the meat in chicken and pork dishes are indistinguishable from each other and we all had the trots within a couple of hours of eating meal and they rudely refused to sell or supply us soy sauce .So nice delivery man terrible phone person .also I've just found out they failed hygiene inspection getting 1 star. So buyer beware

Had this last weekend and the food was great! Tasted amazing and the family were certainly happy. Will be coming back for more this weekend no doubt. Side note for those who are wondering wether to get good here since their bad press a little while ago. Admittedly my family and I avoided coming here for a bit and tried other Chinese Takeaways in the area, but nothing compared to Kwuns. Really glad we ordered here again. This is definitely the best Chinese takeaway within sittingbourne and probably one of the best in kent.

Foods great but has a hygiene rating of one. That's why there is no hygiene rating sticker on the door. Clean your kitchen Mr Kwun.

Best Chinese around by an absolute mile. Never had a bad Chinese from here, and the prawn toast is A1. Highly recommended.

Love their crispy shredded beef and sweet and sour prawn balls :-) Wish they did small size portions as well though to suit eating for one.

Prices increased massively since the weeks closure. What used to cost £17 for 3 dishes and a curry sauce tonight cost me £24. I was shocked as disappointed, the chow mein was drier than usual too, very sad as it was the best Chinese around before

We have just experienced a awful Chinese with kwuns it's a shame because it was great all the times before! That's the only reason I'm going to give it 2 stars. We ordered by phone to collect different guy on the phone to usual but partner always says house special but we noticed the price had increased by £2.50 when we questioned it the guy said its because you asked for house special, not special. Which they charge extra for working out £9.50! When we got home all the chicken was fatty and generally the food was tasteless and the "house special" was all soggy. We have been using these regularly for ages but I would not go back ever.

We have been using Kwuns for many years now and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Portion sizes are generous, every dish is tasty and always hot with fresh ingredients. Even occasions where we have ordered the wrong dish by mistake and never tried it before, we end up ordering the same again at some point later on. Highly recommended is the chicken with green pepper in black bean sauce and chicken with spicy salt (loads of flavour) but you can't go wrong with with anything on the menu really. Unlike a lot of takeaways every dish tastes quite distinctly different and we have never been disappointed. The only disappointing thing about Kwuns is when you can't get through to the phone on a Friday night because of how popular they are, buy that says all you need to know about the food. *****

The food was very good tried it a couple times and was fantastic every time. the salt and pepper was very crispy and flavourful. i would recommend to anyone that is visiting for the first time

Chinese takeaway that is quite close to where I live. Food is of a good quality and the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that it can get very busy at times and you can have a fairly long wait for your food to be ready.

We had a Chinese new years eve from here. Phoned up to order the food at 5pm to collect at 7. When we arrived at 7 they had not even started cooking the food. Chinese finally ready at 8pm. Waited an hour. We thought ordering early we would just collect. We don't aspect to wait an hour when its pre ordered 2 hours before. Once got food home it wasn't very hot and was very salty. Wont be using again. I understand they are busy but when you pre book to collect. Very poor service.

Stayed here for 2 nights in Sittingbourne and ordered take away. We were pleasantly surprised by a really hot and yummy take away. Prawns in ginger and spring onion really good same as chicken with mixed veg and bbq dry spare ribs and beef in black bean sauce. Yum. All really nice, good portion sizes and hot food. Can definitely recommend. Thank you Kwun's take away.

Does this place actually ever answer their phone! I've tried calling over 51 times and the phone is constantly engaged! Everytime I have tried to order takeaway on a Saturday night it is impossible to get through by phone! The telephone simply cannot be engaged for an hour or more at a time! I've been constantly ringing! I'll take my business elsewhere! Give up! They clearly don't need the business!

We’ve been regular customers of Kwuns for some time. Never once have we been disappointed - in fact the quality of the food has been consistently excellent! Ordered Chicken with cashew-nuts for my son - at home we found out that there is no cashew nuts at all in it ! (this happened second time now) only lots of edible bamboo.... I had 2 other chicken dishes and all of them taste very similar - no difference in cooking or sauce flavours what so ever ! Ribs in honey glaze are just hard and chewy. Shame.... The restaurant used to be run with a heart and passion now it's just the mass production of same testing dishes and profit.

Always a pleasure to order from Kwan’s. You can tell what dish is what and is so fresh very yummy! But iwade isn’t great for connecting for card payments. I did ask if I could pay over the phone but it was at door only. I know historically what the connection is like. Maybe give me the choice. Thanks guys 😊

This was a nice enough dinner. Thought I would give a try as my regular was closed on a Monday. Wouldn’t swap for my usual place but just found the meat wasn’t as good quality. Food was hot and cooked. Really good chicken balls. Thank you

This was the first time we have had Chinese from here it was great the only thing is we wanted mushrooms and less meat and they said they could not do this so we payed for mushrooms it is a shame they cannot do this has meat cost more than beef it was lovely and thank you will order again just hope you can do this with the mushrooms welldone

First time ordering and very disappointed! Very bland, over greasy food. Ended up throwing it away. What I did eat made me feel sick from all the grease! On a plus side delivery time was ok.

Lovely food and very clean place

Just ordered Kwuns Chinese food for the first time and we were not disappointed. It was delivered steaming hot and all dishes were well cooked. We especially liked the Chicken and sweetcorn soup,the duck fried rice, and mixed vegetables. Staff were very polite too. This was our first order but it definitely won't be our last.

Personally, I've had better experiences from other local Chinese takeaways. I've always been recommended Kwun's and I couldn't see why. One of my dishes looked and tasted like it had been cooked in a burnt pan, other dishes were greasy.

I had a bad experience with Kwans today. Poor service. Their website said they provide free delivery for orders over £14, I was charged for delivery and they did not want to refund the fee and took some time for them to say that they would take off the delivery fee, whilst the delivery driver was stood at the door with the food getting cold. They also did not provide prawn crackers as was promised.

The best Chinese in sittingbourne for sure. The salt and pepper chips are to die for! Would definitely recommend Kwun’s to anyone looking for a tasty bite!

Slow and gave me the wrong food

Our first order with Kwun's Chinese Takeaway was the other day and very much can't recommend highly enough. Food here is prepared to the highest quality delivered by very friendly delivery driver and calls taken by understanding staff. The chef prepared a very nice dish after speaking to us on the phone and very much making our order exactly as we hoped and more. Give these folks a try if your in the area you won't be disappointed.

The Food was excellent and the GRAVY and chips the best I've had in Sittingbourne by far!

This is possibly the best Chinese in the Sittingbourne area. I haven't had many meals from here but the food is delicious, packed nicely, fairly priced and you will get the occasional bonus drink/food item when you spend half your weeks earnings feeding family and friends. Going to the store to collect my food rather than waiting the usual 1.5 hour Saturday rush meant 35 minutes from order to collection. I also got to notice the repeated Level 5 food hygiene awards, the stainless steal open kitchen where you can see the food being cooked and that the staff looked like they were nice and friendly people.

The best Chinese I have ever had. Tasty and cooked just right. It's a struggle to get through a lot of the time due to busy periods but it's so worth it. I always collect but I believe they deliver, staff are friendly and yeah great Chinese food.

We have been having takeaway from Kwun’s since 2008 and I have found them to be the best in sittingbourne. In that time we have worked our way through most of the menu and there are not many items that we don’t like. The price compares to other takeaways in the area, and the service is always fast and friendly. Sometimes the hor d’ourves are a little dry and the odd noodle dish has been sloppy but overall this is a very nice takeaway.

Used this place for years. Moved area's but still return as cannot find another Chinese as tasty..all the places on Sheppey seem to use "spam" as an ingredient .why. Only proper meat here, and the balls arnt gooey inside..never had a bad meal..
