Kurk Grilled Chicken in Barnet

At 13:00PM I went there to order food, I was told by the lady who had 0 customer service that the owner is not there so she cant serve me food 😂😂 wait what??!!! You cant make food because the owner is not there? At lunch time? Whilst you’re open? Shocking! Great business

I made an order, the food was late then when I called to find out where it was the woman on the line ignored me and blocked my number. Food never arrived, it's a shame as I have ordered here before.

When I first saw this shop it stood out to me and I thought it was gonna be really nice but after I ordered and got my food the pizza i ordered was hardly cooked and sweet.The chicken was cold and weird tasting. Would not recommend

Customer service was great, but unfortunately, the food portion is so bad like I bought 2 chicken wraps, and 90% is peta wrapp and vegetables. The meat doesn't exist in the wrap

Food is becoming really low quality . Before they use to season they chicken , super recipe , now put a sauce made by them on top or not but not tasty . They use to have the best spiced grilled chicken in the area , don’t know what happened. Delivering the orders all the Tim e1h or more late . Not even saying anything, so let down . No I want order from them . I was order from them for more then down know 10 years ?!

Just wanted to edit 4 hours later to say I'm not better. If I need to go to the emergency room or die, or come down with a serious condition of some sort. Kurk is to blame I think I got food poisoning. Ordered 2 burgers. Spent the next morning wretching, with a fever and going to the toilet. Used to be good. Not sure what's happened. Never ordering again.

i asked for extra sauce added but so little sauce was on the chicken basically dry. the sauce was so bland and not nice also. other than that the chicken was cooked good. thank you

I'm sure our meal would have been lovely if it were hot but it arrived warm at best and sauce from the pitta had leaked all over two bags of chips. One and a half hours plus from ordering to delivery via electric bike with no insulated bag, called the restaurant and still had to intercept the rider who was attempting delivery to the wrong house. Have used this restaurant on several occasions previously and all was fine but lengthy delay and barely warm food isn't suggesting a repeat order any time soon.

Loved the food. I got the quarter pounder and chips and it was absolutely delicious, really tasty and the owner was friendly too. Highly recommend this place if you’re hungry or just want to try something new, the food was full of flavour. We were dining in and I also want to thank the kind owner for the free drink he made for me. It was made from fresh fruit and absolutely delicious! Will visit again if I’m in the area. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered a collection for the homemade beef burger meal… 10/10 as always. I’ve worked in Edgware for 3+ years and KURK has always been a staple food that we order however after trying to go vegan for a while I ended up ordering a beef burger today and it was just as good as I remembered it being, even better. I would love to add a photo but I’ve already scoffed it all down 😂. Thank you

Terrible customer service, no regard to my order and made to wait 30mins with blatantly no progress. Avoid at all cost! Disgusting attitude alongside lack of any service

We asked the owner if there is sauce in the beef burger as my friend is allergic, he said there is no sauce, once the burger came it had mayonnaise in it and my friend approached the owner to ask him about it. The man began replacing the buns and did not listen when we said it's been contaminated and can hospitalise my friend. He kept saying it's fine to eat, and began wiping the sauce and removing cheese as a mockery. Never met a more obtuse person, totally unwilling to understand, will recommend avoiding.

I asked for no mayonaise on my burger as i have allergies however they put it, i asked after it was served that i can't eat this as i am allergic and all he did was switch the patty into different buns where there was clearly mayonaise present. He refused to make a new one and did not care about my allergies due to his errors. Terrible service and ants were on the floor. Not clean

I don't know what's happening with Kurks lately. They either don't deliver or the food comes and tastes like it's out of date

The food was average at best The chips cold onion ring as they were all stuck together and tasted awful. seemed to be recorded Burger massive disappointment. the bun was too limp and soggy to hold the burger and other contents. overall I was disappointed

Skewered chicken and chicken in general plain, flavours lacking, sauces strewn about are sloppy and unpleasant.

Food is very tasty. The only problem is we ordered Coca Cola original with the meals and Coke Zero was sent. Can’t stand Coke Zero so that will end up in the bin and I have to spend more on drinks.

Chips were so soggy, they didn’t wrap the coleslaw up properly so it went all over the bag and everything was a mess.

They seem to have some form of intimate relation with lemons. Far too sour for me. All thou the service was great I would not eat there again.

The shop keeper old man is very rude and respectless person he even don’t know to how to talk customers we’re his regular customer and he make unfortunate bill and at asking he went rude no good customer service he is thief. Charging money without bill and asking extra money.

Burger buns cold, hair in food, filthy floors, tables etc evidently hadn't been cleaned night before as I popped in quite early. Please respect your customers and get a grip with the hygiene in this place! Do they think because they serve local school kids that us adults will turn a blind eye? so disappointing!

Last time I came here, December 2021, I had chips and tea which was ok although I was slightly overcharged, charged the advertised price for cheesy chips . Today I saw pizza on the menu. I ordered a pizza , 12 inch for around £7. After a few minutes I was told they were waiting for a delivery of cheese so they couldn't make pizza. They advertise pizza and don't have cheese. I left. Along the road I got pizza.

The peri peri chicken was “okay”. It didn’t seem like it had been marinated very long (if at all) however the whole chicken was cooked through, no pink and still succulent. Forgot my dip on my order so had to eat dry chips as there wasn’t even much excess peri peri sauce on the chicken to spare for them either. A distinctly average takeaway for London prices in my opinion, wish I’d had a meal in the hotel and an alcoholic beverage for the same price.

Terrible food & even worse service !!! Chicken & rice missing from the order despite payment taken. Chips ice cold, chicken super dry & chewy like you’re eating wood. Corn on the cob was completely off, it stank & was slimey. I almost threw up when I took the first bite from it, had to spit it out. The worse thing is that my 5 year old & 2.5 yr old had already taken a couple of bites from it, now I’m worried about them falling ill. As if all that wasn’t enough, my husbands spicy rice had a tiny piece of sharp plastic which almost cut his pallet. It doesn’t deserve even a single star, but I have to give it one because you can’t submit the review without choosing one. Needless to say I’m never ever going their again !!!!!

Yet again from kurks I haven't got what I ordered. Last time i ordered chicken wings plain and they came spicy which i had to wait another 44 minutes for them to come and collect and deliver my right order which was for my daughter. And yet again this time i got sent a half of chicken when i ordered 2X halloumi pitta. Tried calling the restaurant 15 or more times in which they never once picked up the phone. I am taking that my number is obviously registered to my delivery address. It took over an hour for my food to be delivered which I had to chase up which a I got told left 5 minutes ago to then find out my order was wrong. Really disappointed as it ruined my whole family meal as we couldn't enjoy it this being the second time my order has not been right. And even more upsetting for no one to pick up the phone when I ringing more then 15 times. Will defo be knocking this of my list to order from again. VERY VERY DISAPOINTED

It took over an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally did arrive the chicken strip in the kids meal were so dry, hard & chewy you could smack someone over the head with it !!

Use to be a regular customer but not anymore after tonight.. The chicken was hard & rubbery, it was basically all pitta & no chicken & paid for a 1.5 ltr bottle of coke but received a 1.25 ltr? What is going on the food use to be lovely here such a shame..

Food was delivery on time, hot and delicious, I have ordered a few times now and would recommend!

The service was good and collected the food on time, but the food itself was not good. The chocked would have been fine, if it wasn't covered with the most disgusting, stodgy sauce I've ever tasted. It was half congealed, bitter and slimy. I recommend asking for no sauce and buying a jar from a supermarket. The chips were standard but the home made Mexican rice was rank. It was pasty and the texture for rice wasn't right. In fact, it was so gross I had to throw it away, it was inedible. I've used Kurk Chicken on the past and it was ok. But it seems some aspects of their meals need a lot of work or taken off the menu completely.

I ordered fresh orange juice and it had flies in it. He made me another and it still had flies in it. The guy tried to convince me that it wasn't flies. They need to clean the juice squeezing machine regularly.

Have ordered from Kurk's a fair few times over the past year or so. Have yet to disappoint and this was yet another very enjoyable meal. Well done Kurk's, will be ordering again soon.

Awful service. Wrong order and called six times to inform the restaurant - no response. This is in addition to the fact that I had to wait an hour and a half for delivery. I went to deliver the wrong food back to the restaurant but they were closed- despite their website saying they remain open until 2am. Awful. Awful. Awful.

Reminisce of Tehran here. Mega burger is the star in the menu. A wide variety of burgers available. Peri peri chips 🍟 add the extra spice to the meal. There is a choice of grilled chicken and wings too. A substantial menu for pizza lovers too. We had the mega burger with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño pepper and some hot chilli sauce. Its wrapping and cut to eat varies from other places and easy and convenient to eat. Extremely friendly and warm welcome. Worth a visit.

Chips nice but chicken was not great and corn was soggy so tasted horrible and threw away ... sorry but not great at all. On plus side - when I rang the restaurant to chase the food they were polite and apologetic so points there

This place used to be very good but now this has gone off if the rails. Ordered off UberEATS, Garlic Mayo Gourmet burger was raw, chicken quality was incredibly poor and spicy rice had gone well off! Disgusting. Don't usually bash local businesses but these guys served me food not even cooked?!? Owner doesn't offer very consistent customer service. PLEASE AVOID AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Asked for a double chicken burger got 6 strips between pitta asked for cheese burger aswell to have ketchup it didn't had mayo person I got it for threw it away as they were very fuzzy chips and wedges were a bit manky and black aswell there was no thought put into this sorry

They missed the chips off the order but we're very apologetic when I rang the restaurant. No issues. They sent them right round and were still hot when they arrived. Turned up 10mins after I rang. Excellent service and the food was gorgeous too! Especially loved the pita bread.

Shocking! Had an item missing from my order. I called the restaurant to sort this out and the man I spoke to was awful. First of all he told me it's definitely there, he knows it is and refused to believe it was missing. He THEN asked me my address to see what order it was. Then he told me he will send me double halloumi on my next order. I told him I would not be ordering again so I either want a refund or my halloumi. He tried to argue again that it was there. Anyway it was a lonnng conversation, very rude and just told me to contact just eat to sort it out. Vile.

The driver was the rudest driver in the world , he was impatience. He called to let me know he was outside the hotel ,4 minutes later he called saying he’s been waiting for 30 mins and stated being rude over the phone. Other that the food was okay, however they give you food without sauces which most places give for free,because of the drivers attitude and rudeness I won’t be ordering again .

On time, fantastic value for money. Chicken is some of the best I've tasted before. Much better than any other chicken within the local area, fresh flavours, fresh chicken, smiley service.

One of the peri chicken ordered was burned so badly and was inedible, chicken wrap was great, peri rice, chips were also great sides. Coleslaw tasted off and had a horrible after taste - inedible. It was an hour wait for decent food, you can find better elsewhere.

Usually order the chicken burger from here, everytime before it came with mayo, this time it came with hot sauce and my partner hates spicy food. When I called the restaurant they said i was mistaken and it always comes spicy, will not order from here again.

A great and consistent alternative to the overpriced peri peri chicken chain restaurant. Chicken is tender, well marinated and generous portion sizes. Speedy and friendly service too.
