Kurdish charcoal grill in Hastings

At. Combe Haven, Hastings . Food as expected for BK but took an hour to deliver to the Saxon Bar just a few yards away . Probably quicker if I had ordered from Dover ! Clearly not enough staff on a Thursday 🤷‍♂️ The manager Mr Wright perhaps needs a rethink on staffing levels

I started my day thinking of how excited I was for a pizza later on in the night. However I was met with severe disappointment and traged. we ordered a pizza for 30 pound and it was a very monstrously large one. we waited 40 minutes for it to arrive to which we were met with continuous banging from the delivery boy who who sounded like he was using a battering ram to deliver our pizza. when we. went outside to collect the pizza, he gave us a mean look and his eyes almost seemed to turn red which rage and it was like I was talking to the devil's offspring. He proceeded to be very obtuse and after handing over the pizza, he said "have a merry Christmas", which I'm not sure who he thinks we are but a simple "merry Christmas" does not solve our dispute we had. when we opened the box inside the house we were met with a beauty of a pizza. However the pizza was deceptively bad. due to severe hunger, we had to slave our way through the pizza which only got worse and worse. the cheese tasted like rubber and sweaty socks. and when you get to the stuffed crust(the supposed treat of the dish) you are met with a behemoth of meet slapped in your mouth with cheese that tastes like glue. somehow the crust was worse than the main meal. I am now writing this while throwing up in the toilet. 0/10! WOULD NEVER EAT AT (UN)SUPER PIZZA AGAIN!!!!

We erroneously made an order from just eats from Cambridge and did not notice that this reastuarant is from sussex. They called us why we could not get our order since it was already prepared. (8mins from ordering in the app). Since we went to a restaurant here in cambridge we realize we made a wrong order. The owner/staff from the Nice Chinese take away accommodated us and cancelled our order and processed our refund. Thank you so much!

This is the 2nd time I have visited The Duke and the experience this time was not as good. Unfortunately, the waiting staff seemed very disorganised and were not very attentive when taking the order. The cutlery, serviettes were not brought out all at once but they kept coming backwards and forwards. One of the party had the gnocchi and when the waiter asked if we wanted anything else, ie, sauces, etc, they requested some parmesan cheese. The waiter returned to say that we could have parmesan but there would be an extra charge of £1 ! I have never in all the times I have visited restaurants have been asked to pay extra for parmesan cheese. We then asked to speak to the manager, who came over and said she would have to speak to the chef as she was a temporary manager. I am not sure what that had to do with making a decision on whether or not we had to pay for the parmesan. I pointed out that a member of the party was having the fish & chips but had requested at the time of ordering that they did not want the mushy peas or tartare sauce. We would certainly not have expected to receive a reduction in the price ! The temporary manager then said she did not want to argue about it so would bring a portion of parmesan for no extra cost. I was a bit annoyed as there should have not been any argument at all as surely a small grating of parmesan should be free anyway, or the price incorporated in the cost of the meal !

The best spot in the whole of Hastings, completely wasted. Such a shame.
