Kunafa Tea in Bradford

Visitado por primera vez con amigos, el interior y el ambiente era encantador, la comida también era agradable y sabrosa, amable y hospitalario. Los tés, es donde le di 4 estrellas no. El té árabe no era tan agradable como otros lugares árabes que jade que era dulce también. Pedimos silla Marks y eso se hizo con leche condensada ojalá hubiera sabido que no pediría que era demasiado muy dulce. En general, buena experiencia.

Mi opinión en noviembre 2023 (Buena comida pero congestionada y cara - 4 estrellas) Buena y sabrosa comida auténtica de Oriente Medio, cocinada por una familia siria. Sin embargo, el espacio es estrecho - todos estábamos sentados mejilla - por - jowl con otros clientes literalmente a 3 pies de nosotros, uno de los que estaba tosiendo. Precio alto, bastante fuera de proporción con la comida servida. No hay aparcamiento, justo en - calle en una carretera muy transitada junto a una señal de tráfico. Enero 2025 Actualización (3 estrellas) Anoche volvimos a visitarnos y descubrimos que, si bien ha habido una renovación (externa e internamente –han actualizado sus asientos y también han aumentado su capacidad para sentarse–, la impresión general es que parece que va cuesta abajo. Esto se debe a lo siguiente: PROS • A diferencia de anteriormente, ahora tiene un precio más razonable en comparación con lugares similares cercanos (por ejemplo, Meza Restaurant en Legrams Lane y CZN Burak Gurme en Great Horton Lane). Parece que los Kunafa ahora están sintiendo el pellizco de la competencia. • La reciente remodelación en el exterior (pintura nueva, luces, etc. ) y la configuración en el interior (mejor asiento, más capacidad) le da un aspecto mucho mejor. • Personal amable • Servicio razonablemente rápido • Opciones de menú expandidas y razonablemente auténticas • Los tamaños de las porciones se han reducido (probamos su Kunafa y Hot Mezze Platter (para compartir) CONTRAS • Permanece en un semáforo extremadamente ocupado • No hay aparcamiento más que una pequeña y estrecha calle al lado que ya está llena de coches, ninguno de ellos perteneciente a los mecenas del lugar • Sin acceso para discapacitados, especialmente en mi caso • El postre homónimo por el que lleva el nombre el restaurante – Kunafa – ya no es genuino (probamos el original en tamaño Mini) ; no hacía calor, no tenía la cubierta crujiente hecha de pasta fina de vermicelli, no tenía el jarabe, tenía unos granos muy miserables de pistacho triturado. El tamaño parece haberse reducido también. Inmensurablemente mejor Kunafa está disponible a pocos metros del lugar. Realmente decepcionante. • Lo que más vale la pena preocuparse es el hecho de que ahora es un lugar solo en efectivo. Esta es una tendencia muy desafortunada que se ve cada vez más en muchos restaurantes de Bradford recientemente. La razón invariablemente aducida por estos establecimientos es “máquina de tarjetas fuera de servicio”. Esta situación dura meses y años. La razón detrás de esto parece ser evidente, en mi opinión. También aquí se ha dado la misma razón, pero ¿cómo se hace un balance que significa que tienen un pequeño cajero automático instalado en interiores? En otras palabras, no planean volver a los pagos opcionales con tarjeta. ¡Más ironía! ¡El cajero automático se quedó sin dinero! Dijeron que podíamos hacer una transferencia bancaria, pero nadie quiere preocuparse por eso. Esta es una política autodestructiva para tales lugares, porque nadie debe ir a una experiencia divertida – en este caso comer fuera – con fajos de dinero en efectivo. No creo que volvamos a llevar nuestra costumbre allí.

El gran personal en el té kunafa me acogió cuando la nieve era mala y mi teléfono había muerto. Me dejaron cargar mi teléfono y mientras esperaba tomé el mejor té de karak que he tomado fue increíble. Gracias.

Decidimos tomar una comida para llevar en lugar de cocinar y decidimos pedir desde aquí. No nos decepcionaron. Nos dijeron cuando pedimos que podría tomar un tiempo debido a la nieve, pero no fue tan malo Hay una buena elección de comida y muy sabroso El conductor, que era uno de los propietarios, era muy educado y amable. Esperamos visitar el restaurante pronto

Absolutamente delicioso y agradable lugar en Thornton Rd, a 20 minutos a pie de City Park. Un montón de opciones veganas y vegetales disponibles - comida tradicional siria más hamburguesas / envolturas. Lo más destacado es el kunafa en sí (postre! )

We had a beautiful lunch of hot and cold mezze. Each dish was really tasty: melt in the mouth cheese rolls, divine baba ganoush, delicate falafels and perfect halloumi to mention a few. The Turkish coffee and kunafa cake were out of this world. Great value for money.

Decor was medocre.The service was brilliant but I dont know why they expect religious women to help them move the f'ing dishes, its a restaurant we expect to be wined and dined.The food was covered in Salt, and the drinks were too sweet.I suffer from high blood pressure and could have suffered a stroke due to all the salt and sugar. Very very expensive, never coming here again.

Attended a private event recently and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. The team and the owners went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. We had lemon and mint welcome drinks, an entire feast of their best food from the menu and even ended the night with dessert and tea. I cannot recommend Kunafe Tea enough. If you have a special event please do consider them, and if you need catering … get in touch. I actually cannot wait to go back !

Amazing food and warm efficient service!! Parked in the immediate side street next to the restaurant so no hassle there. We got there at 5 so just before the evening rush.

Good, tasty authentic Middle-Eastern food, cooked by a Syrian family. However, space is tight - we were all sitting cheek-by-jowl with other customers literally 3 feet from us, one of who was coughing away. Price high, quite out-of-proportion with the food served. No parking, just on-street on a very busy road next to a traffic signal.

We have enjoyed several brief visits to Kunafa Tea recently, for mezze and tea, so decided to host our extended family to Sunday lunch there to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our party of 10 was welcomed with faultless service and our tables groaned with a range of delicious foods, cooked to perfection. One of our party is of Iraqi heritage and vouched for the quality and authenticity of our meal. Highly recommend this cafe/restaurant for its quality of food and service, and it's calm ambiance. I'm on a mission to work my through the complete menu over the coming months! Thank you, Kunafa Tea, for a memorable family ocassion.

The food was absolutely delicious & the service was really great as well, with very lovely staff! Would highly recommend & will definitely be coming again when I’m in Bradford!

We selected Kunafa Tea Room to host our wedding lunch. We were very pleased with the service, hospitality, food and warm welcome. We even put a pre-order of our lunch 1 week before and everything went smoothly. Hamza was a lovely host, friendly and made our families feel very welcome. This is a family owned Syrian restaurant. We loved the quality of food and the family enjoyed it too. We will definitely be back here.

The food here was amazing better then mezza and i thought mezza was excellent. Staff were so friendly. They restaurant is owned by a lovely Syrian family. We will defo visit again next time we are in the UK

Pass this place lots of time and always seems active and looks nice in a run down area. Wanted to try out with a group of friends (9) after attending an afternoon event. We were welcomed and accommodated with tables together and even though busy had excellent service. The food was delicious and the recommendations really good for varied tastes. Great atmosphere and the mint and lemon drink was lovely and refreshing. All together a lovely little place and will visit again .Staff friendly and food fab

Four of us shared the mixed platter for starters. Delicious. For mains we had grilled sea bass, lamb kebab and burgers with salads. We drank Moroccan tea and mango lassi. For dessert we ate pistaschio ice cream and a tasty Syrian dish called Kunafa. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced. Will recommend it to all my mates

I called a few days before my visit to book a table, the gentleman seemed soo rush and wanted me off the phone, he advised to text the number I had rang and he will confirm the booking, so I did but I didn't get a reply, so no idea if I had a booking. I turned up on the date and time as per my booking and was promptly seated, didn't need to mention my booking as the place was quiet. We had a scan of the menu and ordered 3 starters and mains and drinks. The starters were bought out very quickly which was fantastic but no bread was given with the humus, I asked for this twice before it was brought out. The mains was lovely, although they forgot my chips, I asked for these 3 times and 3 times I was told it's on its way but it never arrived which was disappointing. I ordered desserts, 2 mini kunafas, this place is meant to be known for kunafas but the kunafa was not nice, the pastry was nice but the cheese was just a lump in the middle which had separated from the pastry, I have had kunafa from different places and this was the worst I've had. Overall a very standard place, which was a shame as I wanted to enjoy it. I thoroughly read reviews before I go out to eat but this establishment didn't live up to my expectations. The only positive was that they didn't charge for the chips which they didn't give me anyways. They only accepted cash or bank transfer, no card machine which is poor really. I didn't have cash on my so had to take bank details to do a transfer which is not ideal...Don't think I will be attending again.

One of the best places to eat in Bradford. The staff members are lovely, so kind and welcoming. The food is delicious and there’s a great choice - something for everyone. We tried the Moroccan Tea which was just incredible. The atmosphere is amazing, a lovely place.
