Krua by Nathong in City of London, Westminster

i had walked past this place earlier in the evening and decided to pop in about 8.30 to give it a try. I was greeted at the door and asked if i wanted a table but i opted for a takeaway option. It was a monday evening and not very busy but the staff were attentive and service was nice and quick. I wasnt offered a drink whilst i waited but i didnt realise it was going to be as quick as it was so that was probably a good thing. I went for the grilled chicken Thai Green Curry from the chefs special option. It was a nice meal. A takeaway version may never do a restaurant full justice and i will try and revisit for a sit down meal soon

The staff were lovely, the atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is clean. The food was very disappointing. I had the butterfly prawns which were heavily breaded and smothered in mayo. It was extremely oily and had no taste. Also had the pad see ew which again was extremely oily and lacked flavour. I was really expecting so much more.

Food is average, even below average. The most bland Pad Thai that I’ve ever had, which could be good for health, lol…. Over cooked Chicken Satay, it’s dry. Take away box is 1 pound per box. I’m from the US and new to London, but it’s my first time heard about this. Restaurant is clean and spacial.

Loved this restaurant. The place began to become busy but the food came quite quickly and tasted fantastic! If you like it hot, try the green curry. The red curry (my wife opted for this) was lovely with a slight sweet taste - not as hot! Looking forward to our next trip to London and visit to Krua!!

Went here for Lunch. Ordered few set lunch meal. They serve some typical Thai Food dishes Didn’t took much photo as I was too hungry at that point of the day. Just show u one Fried Rice with Beef. The Set Lunch comes with 1 or 2 course meal where u can order a appetizer like Spring roll or Veg Roll. Also ordered the Green Curry Chicken Rice and minced pork meats Rice set I feel that the portion is ok The taste is not what I expected May be it’s today or so, the Shrimp in the soup is not fresh enough The Fried rice with Beef. The beef is not good at all. The Curry was pretty ok in general The Stir-fried Pork is good just portion is a bit less Overall impression in this Location, the decoration is good, clean and nice The food is average only or at least for Set Lunch. can come try out Thai Food if u around. A quick meal. Afternoon Lunch in weekday is pretty packed here.

A very intimate restaurant with beautiful tasty food. Went for a birthday meal with my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mocha and her team made the service even better. Would definitely go back!

I paid £10 for a takeaway tofu curry and the portion was so small. They gave me 3 tofu pieces in total. Absolute rip off, will not go back

We booked Karaoke and drinks space at Krua - the team were incredible, not only throughout our stay, but throughout the booking process too - Nutchaya was so flexible with our changing needs and was a delight to communicate with. The service and standard on the day was second the none and I am very much looking forward to coming again. The Karaoke room was also perfect for a big group and everyone had a blast! We didn't have any food at the restaurant but it looked and smelt amazing - I can't wait to come back and try it. Many thanks again to the team!

Came here initially on a recommendation and now I return frequently. The food is excellent from starters - Ribs especially, soups to Chefs specials. Treat yourself to the sticky rice with mango to round off a pleasant experience . The food is fresh, lovely presentation, the staff so friendly and eager to recommend. I neither live or work near St Paul’s, but any excuse to eat here this is the place I suggest. Good for corporate events - even do karaoke! Highly recommended

The service was excellent and very efficient. We ate off the two-course set lunch menu which was great value for money and the food was delicious. Both courses came at the same time, which was not expected but was actually much appreciated for a business lunch when time is short. I would definitely eat there again.

the service was good and the food tasty. The starters seemed defrosted and overcooked, but ok. The mains were fresh and full of flavour and - a plus - if they say spicy they mean it! the problem is that the restaurant is like a blank canteen with no warmth or character. fine for a basic meal, not for a celebration or special night out.

Quite slow service to take order and my main came and they brought over a plate 5 minutes later. My husband asked the waitress what she would recommend and that he likes spicy, she just said look at the chillis on the menu - surely as a waitress who is clearly from Thailand they can recommend a dish. Anyway he chose the pad krapow which had 3 chillis (very hot apparently) and it wasn’t hot at all…. Value for money I feel it’s too expensive for the quality of food. My cashew chicken lacked flavour however starters were nice. Definitely better Thai restaurants out there.

Loved the dumpling appetizers which had a great balsamic reduction sauce. Tender, delicious beef in the Beef Wok. Good service, pleasant dining room with ample room.

Found this place by coincidence, not far from St. Paul. Quite hidden away, if it wasn't for google maps we wouldn't have found it. Pad thai was average at best, much better the red and green currys. Portion sizes very small and in general the food did not live up the expectations of a Thai restaurant. It lacked of flavour or spiciness. Not the worst I have been but surely not the best. Just average, as well as the service.

We went there for business meeting, the service was good, food was delicious. Def recommend

It was clear when we arrived that the restaurant staff weren’t expecting us, even though we’d booked through OpenTable over a week previously and confirmed 48 hours before through the App. I don’t know whether the fault lies with the App or the restaurant, but the upshot was we ended up sat at a temporary table set up outside the toilet door - not great. Food good, service good, but evening spoiled by table location. I won’t be using OpenTable again if that’s what you get

Ate here with colleagues for a late dinner. The food was delicious! We shared the starter platter, and then a selection of curries. The green curry was my personal favourite!

It was underwhelming, the atmosphere was a bit off. We got there on Friday around 6:30 and the place was empty. We had starters to share and decided to switch to another place.

If you want decent but basic (in my opinion) Thai food in a place to hang out with friends in the City then its a good consideration. We averaged £50 for eight of us and shared two bottles of wine with shared platter starter and individual mains.

Last night I visited with a couple of my close acquaintances from work for a midweek business meal. The atmosphere was delightful while we sipped on our chilled crisp white wine while discussing financial markets and what was the impending B of E rate rise. Service was exemplary, very efficient and all the correct dishes were brought to our table. We opted for a sharing theme whereby, we ordered a lovely spread of the best Thailand had to offer us for starters. For main we continued on that theme with another bottle of wine and a mix of beef and chicken, all dishes were lovely and the meat moist. We particularly enjoyed the nuts which were part of the beef stir fry. Alongside this we had a serving of sticky rice and it certainly lived up to its name, Lovley and sticky. It’s fair to say we had a lovely evening and we will certainly be returning. The lady in our group is extremely keen to venture downstairs to try out the in house karaoke bar which represents great value for a night out on the town.

Found this Thai restaurant by searching for those with high ratings near my hotel. Hidden down a side street but easy to walk to from the Bankside area. Very good service. Diverse menu. Large portions. Appetizers were ok but the main courses were really good. I will go back for sure.

Searched for a recommended Thai on trip advisor and this came up. Looked good online, gave it a try and it did not disappoint! Mixed platter starter was delicious. Service was great. Would return 👍 and defo recommend.

good Thai cuisine in the heart of the City - a great find

The food was the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The service was just as good. We had vegans in our party and they were so happy to accommodate and create special vegan dishes. I will definitely keep going back.

Welcomed in and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Superb menu and the service was great. Spoilt for choice and the meals were fresh and hot.

Lovely restaurant hidden away. The food was delicious however the menu did not have many vegetarian options but the restaurant went out of their way to create options for us which was fantastic! If they can add more vegetarian options that will bring this to a 5!

Booked a 5.15 sitting and upon arrival they looked very surprised at us being there. Explained I had a table booked but they were preoccupied with an impending arrival of a large group. Sat us right at the back, around the corner where it was dark, cold and dingy and stuck next to some temporary storage area. We asked to move to the next bigger table and they said yes, someone else then came round and said no, not it should have bothered anyone as their main group/guests/priority was in the main part of the restaurant. Service was pretty quick, the two new waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. Food was good, good flavour, subtle spice and kick where needed. Spring rolls, green curry and pad Thai shouldn’t be wrong but some are, not here, it’s rather nice, shame the service part of it was off otherwise the score would have been more.

Food & wine, service and location all good. The only thing that marred it for me was an unpleasant Jasmine tea. But that wouldn't put me off returning.

Really friendly staff! Felt very safe with covid 19 measures they had put in place

When we arrived for a midweek lunch the place was packed, but we had made a reservation so were seated straight away. Generally the food was ok (we had spring rolls, chicken satay, a chicken red curry, and chicken in oyster sauce), but I swallowed...

The food was very nice and the service excellent but this place was really let down by the facilities - the toilets were really disgusting. On this occasion the men’s loo seat was broken so men had to use the ladies’, and in the ladies’ one of the cubicles was out of order. The main restaurant was decent enough and the meal very enjoyable but I do hope they fix this soon.

I always enjoy Krua by Nathong. This time my guest and I chose the set menu and were unsurprised to find it was delicious and plentiful. Best of all, my allergy was, as always at this restaurant, dealt with impeccably.

Visited this restaurant for dinner last week. Food was good, albeit my "Jungle Curry" was really very hot (which I guess it is meant to be). My wife's Panang curry was fabulous. Service was very efficient. All in all, a good little restaurant, serving authentic...
