Lovely restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food.

Amazing food and service as always at Patara. We went here 17 years ago on a date and still come back. The soft shell crab and mango salad is a must along with the prawn and lemongrass. The deep fried sea bass is also gorgeous. If you’re feeling greedy have the pineapple and seafood fried rice. I enjoyed the Durian dessert to satisfy my sweet tooth. Beautiful food and a wonderful service, thank you as always.

We visited at 7pm on Monday. Service by the staff was poor. There were several occasions we could not see any staff to order or make other requests. Our cups were not refilled when empty when other tables were refilled automatically.

The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant are wonderful. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious, especially the fish. The food was beautifully presented.

Authentic Thai food. The price is relatively high but still reasonable since the portion is really big. Highly recommended for Thai food lover.

The food is really good here, the environment is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend Patara Soho greek street. To anyone craving authentic and flavorful Thai food. I’ll definitely be returning soon

🛑Worst service ever🛑 Food never ready

The food was a bit disappointing, especially after my recent trip to Thailand—it didn’t quite match the flavors I remembered. I later found out that you can request “real Thai” when ordering, and they’ll add extra seasoning, which would have been great to know earlier. I had also mentioned in my booking that it was for a birthday and was hoping for a small touch like a candle with dessert, but it seems those notes weren’t acknowledged. That said, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, which made the experience enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastic food. One of the best Thai restaurants in London. Tai was really attentive and served us well. The fish and seafood is fresh and all dishes were meticulously prepared by the chef. Will come back for sure.

The food was A-MA-ZING!! My hub took me for a surprise birthday dinner here tonight and we had a really wonderful time. The staff sang a happy birthday while they brought out a dessert (I believe it was on the house) Napoleon exceeded his service for being charming and friendly and for always being attentive to customers needs. The staff were all very polite too.

Visited for my sons birthday, staff we're brilliant, food was excellent, highly recommend. We had a great evening.

Food was ok not worth the price, Thai curry for £20, over priced and £8.50 for spring rolls which shouldn’t be more than £5, rip off and the spring rolls were frozen not fresh.

We were a group of 8 on New Year's Eve - The food was absolutely fabulous and the staff were really attentive! We all enjoyed what we had, there was so much choice on the menu and the detailed menu with photos really helped us pick what we wanted. Highly recommend and we will certainly be coming back!

From the moment we stepped in, the warm and attentive service set the tone for the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home and ensuring every detail was taken care of. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. The Green Curry was a perfect harmony of spice and flavour, the Coconut Braised Beef melted in your mouth with its rich, creamy texture, and the Thai Milk Tea provided a delightful sweet touch to round off the meal. Every dish showcased authentic Thai flavours with a refined presentation. For anyone in Soho seeking an extraordinary culinary experience, Patara is the place to go. Absolutely outstanding!

We come to Patara Soho every year and it is always a wonderful experience. The food is great, the service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is fabulous. We recommend it because Patara is a great place to be and you always want to come back as soon as possible.

We had a great pre-theatre meal here. The staff were really accommodating to one in our party’s coriander intolerance, they even made a soup from scratch for her! 4 stars for atmosphere but only because we came at 5:30 and it wasn’t busy yet. Recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had an underwhelming experience at Patara Soho. Started and mains were tasty, albeit a bit more expensive that most Thai restaurants, until we got to dessert. We got the orange chocolate tart, and it was like they just poured ready-made chocolate sauce into a ready-made tart case. Service was also so-so (we were downstairs). They didn’t leave tap water on the table, and it was hard to get the waiter’s attention to get more ware

The most authentic Thai food I ever had in London. We got the three flavor fish, Pad see ew, Thai papaya salad, and Chor muang. It was so flavorful and taste amazing. The service was really kind, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great.

Went for lunch. When ordering onion-garlic-gluten free dishes, like fried rice and chicken with cashews, it's important that the portion size remains the same as the regular option and the effort to garnish is the same. The special request fried rice had noticeably less rice compared to the standard version, and the special request chicken with cashews had fewer cashews than the standard dish with no effort to garnish the chicken special request dish. As customers, we should expect that the special versions, even though they allow for customisation, do not come in smaller portions, especially since we are paying the full price. If the size is clearly reduced, it creates an imbalance in value and experience. The attached pictures to the left is the special request while to the right is the standard.

Great food, but they systematically won't make it spicy and won't significantly increase it even if you ask. Minor peeve but a bit annoying for Thai food. Otherwise it's lovely.

The food was really good, especially the lamb massaman. The green curry wasn't great though, for a staple disitthat was disappointing. The starters were great - the duck rolls and corn fritters. Service was average at best as well, but worth going for the food.

I organised a work event for 14 of us and Patara was very accommodating and has a very cosy space downstairs for bigger groups. Shoutout to Jup and Patrick for making any last minute adjustments to the booking. The food was also top class and would recommend getting the Thai chicken and wild ginger beef. We even went over our booking time by an hour but the team was very kind and considerate.

Hicimos un pedido de 2 platos de sus nuevos menús y algunos platos interesantes y además, elegimos los vinos tintos que estarían bien maridados con su comida y resultó ser la mejor combinación. Les ofrezco algunos ejemplos si desean seleccionar vinos con platos Patara Thai. Sopa Tom Yum, sopa caliente y agria con vinos blancos aromáticos secos y tienen Viognier. Después del blanco, así que nos gustaría ir por el tinto también, la primera botella de tinto, elegimos vino tinto DOCG súper toscano. Bueno, Chianti es la mejor opción para una simple parrilla o asado. Crujiente chile de cerdo y albahaca con vinos que equilibran su rica textura grasa y sabores salados, elegimos Cabernet Sauvignon para esto también. Sería absolutamente 100% perfecto si tienen una rosa seca de Provenza o una botella de Riesling de Alemania que todos conocemos como los vinos más agresivos para maridar con comida tailandesa. En fin, muy recomendable la rama Patara Soho para la mejor cocina tailandesa. 🤍

We have heard that Patara has just announced the new dishes. Therefore, we decided to have a go for it, at their biggest branch in the heart of London. (There are 5 branches in London.) Upon arrival without reservation, we tried to ask a staff for a cozy corner in the front part of the restaurant as to dine at the quiet corner. They provided the table that we would like with a warm welcome. Appreciated about it. We placed an order for 2 dishes of their new menu items and some interesting dishes and also, chose the red wines that would be well paired with their food and it turned to be the best combination. I am providing some examples if you would like to select wines with Patara Thai dishes. Tom Yum Soup, Hot and Sour soup with off-dry aromatic white wines and they have got Viognier. After white so we would like to go for red as well, the first bottle of red, we chose DOCG super Tuscan red wine. Well, Chianti is the best choice for a simple grill or roast. Crispy Pork Chilli and Basil with wines that balance its rich, fatty texture and savory flavors, we chose Cabernet Sauvignon for this as well. It would be absolutely 100% perfect if they have a dry rose from Provence or a bottle of Riesling from Germany that we all know it the grestest wines to pair with Thai food. Anyway, highly recommened Patara Soho branch for the best Thai cuisine. 🤍

If you want to satisfy your craving, it’s either Indian food or Thai food. Compared with the heavy taste of Indian food, Thai food tends to be more sour and spicy, which goes straight to the forehead and has no sweetness at all. In one word, exciting! This location is great and there are always people queuing up every time we pass by. The portion size is okay and the taste is pretty good, with the desserts bearing the brunt! It’s a taste of Thai food worth trying in London

Nice atmosphere, polite friendly service and really good food.

Went here for a meal for my daughter’s pre-birthday. We had the classic meal for 2 which was £52 per head. The food throughout was very tasty, clean plates all round. The staff were very friendly and even surprised my daughter by singing happy birthday and bringing out a lovely dessert for her. Would definitely return here to eat.

This is the family’s favourite place when we want to treat ourselves. The taste of every single dish is so unique. We will be back.

Their 2-course lunch special for £19 was great! (The 3-course £24 menu included a brownie with ice cream for dessert, but I forgot to take a picture!)

Very pleasant find for business dinner - spacious restaurant, very good service, and very good, freshly prepared Thai food. Set menu easy option. All dishes superbly presented.

The ambiance was pleasant, but the food fell a bit short of my expectations. Some dishes lacked the flavors I was hoping for, Additionally, the food arrived later than expected, which impacted the overall experience. The service was friendly but could be more attentive to details. Overall, it’s a place with potential, and I hope they can make a few adjustments to create a more enjoyable experience for guests.

We went for lunch on 26th October with my friends as a birthday celebration, we stayed for well over 4 hours and the staff were so kind and did not rush us out. The service, hospitality and food ( I am a strict vegetarian) everything was superb. Absolutely will go again and respect the timing as they are so kind 😅

Food quality, portions, service, ambience and music playlist was all making a perfect place for any kind of meal or celebration. This is a Thai restaurant a level above the best of the rest.

We went a few months ago for my sisters birthday, which was lovely. However with the most recent experience we had, the manager YELLED at us over the phone, as we tried to make a reservation and then when we went in to try get a table the manager yelled at us to ‘get out, no table’. I understand with restaurants they can be too busy - but there’s a nice and professional way to approach situations as such.

Really good Thai restaurant serving the classics. Everything was great. Only Critic is that the restaurant is a little too big so loses the family feel of a smaller intimate place. That’s said the food and service was of a good standard

Lychee martinis are brilliant!! The riceberry rice is delicious! I’m shocked they had it on the menu! A nice change! I ordered too much food but it was brilliant! I will go back again as there’s other items I really want to try and I would really recommend ESPECIALLY if you like coconut!! See the menu it’ll make sense!! And look at the desert menu! Half of it is coconut deserts which I adore!

We were given a table downstairs next to a huge group of teenagers celebrating a birthday. It was really loud and noisy, with the group continuously shouting the whole time. I asked a waiter to check if there was another table available upstairs but he didn’t even try to find it, only said they were fully booked without giving us a solution. It ruined the whole dinner. Something similar happened the last time I was there, it’s a very noisy place and very difficult to have a nice conversation, so I will not be coming back.

Very tasty Thai food. Very fresh tasting and a reasonable price.

For the price, there is nothing extra-ordinary about the food. It's standard Thai food. I wouldn't rate it fine dining either, so definitely did not feel like I got an experience warranting the prices. The food is good, and I have no complaints on that front. Service and ambience too are faultless. But this is not fine dining.

The atmosphere of the restaurant will make you feel like you are in Thailand. However, make sure to book a table in the groundfloor where the decoration is really special, otherwise you may be disappointed. The only downside is that i feel the menu changed a bit over the last few years, which makes it less appealing than before.

Nice place with ok food but didn't blow me away, I've had better Thai food for far less money and a less uptight feeling elsewhere. The flower dumplings were delish but the massaman curry had not a lot of chicken but ALOT of big onions basically still whole, I know it's supposed to have potatos and onions but the ratio and size of onion pieces was off for me. Probably wouldn't return as it's just not my kind of place.

Massaman curry was so full of flavour and spice. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and classy. The service is great and it the team made it a special evening for my partner on his birthday. Thank you Patara!!

Scallops were incredible as were the homemade dumplings on the set menu (starter). We also ordered the Prawn & Pineapple Curry which was wonderful but the rest of the set menu was average. We hadn’t expected the Ala carte curry dish to arrive before the set menu starters. The waiter advised that all food comes together (but it doesn’t). Ambience spoiled by loud over bearing lads shouting at each other in general conversation.

Good food, staff were friendly and attentive. The beef cheek in Panang sauce was very tasty, I would go back.
