I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. We ordered food from this takeaway and found a hair in our meal — which is already bad enough — but the way the staff handled it made everything worse. When we brought it to their attention, they didn’t apologize, didn’t offer a replacement, and honestly didn’t seem to care at all. The people serving us were rude and dismissive, showing zero concern or responsibility for what had happened. There was no acknowledgment of the issue, no attempt to make things right — just attitude. Finding a hair in your food is gross, but being treated like you're the problem when you point it out is even worse. Definitely won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values basic hygiene or customer service

The chicken burger here is amazing! It’s big and juicy and fried to perfection. Honestly it’s like a diamond in the rough, so good! They also sell cola called “Classic Ice Cola” which I tried out of curiosity and was massively impressed. Tasted like real coke with extra cola bean taste. This along with the chicken burger was a match made in heaven. Seriously. Go try it. It was good enough for me to stand outside and write this review afterwards. * * * * *

Guys food & owner is a good. If you have daughters don’t send them in send in a elder lady or Man boy Some of the work staff not owner have nasty habits of asking young girls or females for there phone numbers, 15 years ago I witnessed a problem like this by Lemon Crispy Worker however we took it up with the owner, owner sacked him on the spot .. I heard it’s popped up again recently. Don’t send your little sisters , daughters in her Food is good no complaints Owner is good too . Certain staff watch out predators.

They can’t cook chicken properly and it stinks, cheeseburger costs 5 quid for only three ingredients, pizzas are 20 quid which is extortion and the worst part is if you phone them and order it they won’t make it until you get to the shop

Messing up my order even tho I clearly listened hair in my food

Food quality has declined over time in the Dunstable Road branch. The old Bedford Road branch seems a better quality choice. Having to add another review because the workers keep on getting the order wrong. I only come to this branch because my wife prefers it. However, the order is regularly given wrong and its getting really frustrating now. Its not possible to every time dig through the chips to see if the right chicken piece has been given. Order is so simple and given clearly yet the workers get it wrong. Last time Iv asked for chilli and garlic sauce on top and got chilli and mayo instead. My request is to the owner of the shop to please fix this issue and at least have competent people at the front. Thank you!

You have to wait - getting food ready randomly, so people coming later may get their orders prepped earlier .. Disappointing service in that regards. May be ordering on the phone would help before arriving

I've been going to this place since 2008. I'll drive from bedford or London to get the AFTER BURNER burger!!! The best thing ever. Staff are very friendly, quick service. The place is always packed with people.

Chips were stale, the pizza was so cold, I think he might of gave me leftover pizza from the day before. I ordered 2 burgers aswell, and the order was wrong. £3 for cold chips not worth it, I don’t recommend

I’ve been a regular for the last 7yrs. Last weekend I was really disappointed, they got my order wrong and then didn’t believe me. 1 chicken burger was missing and they said they will check the CCTV cameras! Why would I lie for a £6 chicken burger when I paid £39 for my food! I didn’t get any compensation just a call back to confirm they didn’t pack the burger, and I can come back and collect it from the shop! I was really put off by this service and have noticed that they there service has been poor recently.

Ordered 4 pizzas today, pizzas weren’t cooked properly had little to no sauce and dough was raw in one of the boxes, wasn’t up to standards and didn’t meet expectations, have had ordered many times before always the same issue.

Just ordered a pizza overall it was good the only thing I asked for pepperoni on my pizza but I was very disappointed the pepperon was hard dry and very low quality which made the whole pizza taste bad. I hope you can spend abit extra on good quality pepperoni.

Everyone in Luton raves about Strips and Chips from this place. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It's just basic chicken and chips neither are crispy or have lemon flavour. Honestly Luton folks need to experience some proper food if they're going to claim this is the best chicken and chips ever. It's doesn't even come close to the PFC's of London or the Chicken shops in Manchester such as Miami Crispy, Shake bee etc

The food was good, until I was half way done and saw two spiders crawling out of the food. They were small spiders but it’s still very off putting. I was nice about it and told the owners but to be honest they didn’t look like they cared, just a “sorry man” and that’s all. Overall I’m very displeased and won’t be coming back again.

I am absolutely flabbergasted . For starters the place for the amount of service there was was absolutely tiny . I came to the place with high expectations as my work colleague has told me its the best chicken and chips shop hes ever been to and has highly recommended me to try it out. I was a bit unpleased with the room with the amount pf people there but i didnt entirely dislike the restaurant just for that, the food arrived in about 5-10 minutes i paid for chicken strips large and chips with some meat. There was n o seats as theres only two small seats inside which were occupied so me and my buddy who have never come here before as this was our first time , we came with high regards got our food and sat on a bench, as i opened my box the first thing i see was a big spider that was on the corner walking on my strips after seeing this i was absolutely frustrated and decided to put the whole thing in my bin as ive never experienced something like that before i thought i was just unlucky and while i was calling my mate about the experience as he suggested it my friend was still eating is until he saw deeply in his food a tiny spider which absolutely put him off and we decided to both thrown in the bin we decided to tell the restaurant about it as i didnt want a refund but i left hungry as without photographic prove we werent given food but i didnt suggest that either as i wouldnt want to experience that again. First and last time i am going there i believe the boxes or the bags they use are what the spiders are from.

I remember the first time I tried lemon Krispy chicken was a fews years back and you could taste the lemon flavor! Now only tastes of fried chicken the portion size is big, chilli sauce is 🔥... May be should change name to sothen fried chicken...

Tried for the first time, came from London. The chicken fillet burger is best around I've had. Absolutely amazing. Chicken strips and chips were a bit of let down and won't get again. But wow the fried chicken pieces that had crispy lemon flavoured skin 😻

I'm a regular customer and usually I'm buying the same pizza's with the same toppings but yesterday the staff was rude, rushed my order and on top of that they were asked me to pay extra for a bit of sweetcorn. They are busy but at least they should try to pay a bit more attention when the customers are trying to place the order. At the end was very disappointed experience and I will not recommend anymore this place to any of my friends.

I'd say this place is a hit and a miss. They're consistent in their pizza's though so they tasted the same every time. Their customer service is...well it's lacking. I've tried their doner too, it's just OK. Remember to have the sauces separate as they tend to just over do it when pouring them. Not sure whether it's to mask the taste and smell of what they're offering but it's too much. These guys need to realise what's too much, it's better to ask the customer how much sauce they want. More reviews to come later if I explore more of their menu.

Whoever is answering the phone needs some lessons in customer service, not professional or polite, didn't continue with order due to his attitude, shame as the food is great. Set up deliveroo or something if you aren't capable or talking to people normally.

For anyone that has given this place 5 stars I pray for your taste buds. I went in today and ordered 1 fried chicken burger meal and 1 strips and chips and it came to £14- so am I paying £7 for a fried chicken burger meal! I had 1 bite of the burger and threw it away as it was hard to even chew. Idm paying more for a meal but at least it should be decent quality. I don’t know what the hype is london has better places for cheaper. Since i have come to Luton i’m yet to find a good place to eat.
