Korea House in Broxtowe

As we entered we were greeted and sat down at the first table In front of the door and it was quite cold, so we asked to move and they sorted a table closer to the inside. We sat down and we asked for information about the menu and we got a Kbbq(pork belly and beef) And as a side to share between the four of us a noodle with black bean sauce. As with previous experiences in Korean restaurants I didn't expect they wouldn't have brought any sauce dips, lettuce or the renown Kimchi. Which usually are free of charge. As we were cooking the meat one of the waiters came to cut it up for us without asking us or making sure the meat was cooked enough thus making it harder for us to flip on the grill because of the little pieces. We ordered a Hot pot and when it arrived they didn't take away the old side plates for the Kbbq, and we asked for some bowls to eat the soup and we waited and at the third time we asked they brought us the bowls and we started eating The plates were left there until the end of the meal. The staff didn't feel very welcoming and wasn't friendly, we expected more from a restaurant with such a high quality review. When we asked for the bill and they added the service charge, which was definitely not deserved that came up to nearly £12. We left the restaurant unhappy and somewhat still hungry because the portions were not enough. Not coming back and not recommending it to others, the food isn't worth the price and the fixed menu will leave you hungry and unsatisfied.

Kimchi fried rice was flavourful but a small portion. Beef dumplings were nicest, big and juicy. Bossam would be better if more tender and the skin less hard. Kimchi is good but not enough. Pricey in terms of quality and quantity. It was hard to get the attention of the waiting staff although the restaurant was not full capacity.

A lovely relaxed place to visit. Had the hotpot which was absolutely lovely and full of flavour. The staff were all very kind and attentive. 100% will be visiting again.

Not traditional Korean, fake and imitation taste. I came in with a Korean partner and lived in Korea, this place had changed, rice is not Korean, food offerings are not Korean and tasteless. Terrible place with quality questions, invest in the building and the chefs who know what Korean food tastes like or change to Chinese food or African chef, neither is good enough even for street grub-by!!

It is a nice restaurant that my friend recommended it to me. I ordered taeppoki and friend chicken/kanpoongi which I didnt need to wait for long and the taste was amazing. My friends ordered bimbimbap and they said that the taste was also amazing. Also we ordered that sweet and sour chicken which was fabulous. I highly recommend this place if you want to try korean restaurang in Beeston.

We ordered the hot pot which was nice but came with baked beans and a cheese slice on top- unsure if this is authentic but don’t think the beans or cheese added to the dish. Also, ordered red wine but got white wine. Was a nice meal nonetheless but if I came again I would go for the highly recommended Korean BBQ. We did really enjoy the chicken gyozas too. They also added a 12% service charge into the bill.

It was a wonderful experience to BBQ my food while dinning at this restaurant…the food is flavourful and more importantly for me, Truly Traditional! Easily one of my Favourite Oriental Restaurants.

I went to this restaurant couple of times and they were all amazing. My personal favourite is spicy beef soup with a bowl of rice (Pork belly was yummy). The waiters were friendly as well. I would recommend to book in advance if you're going for there for a dinner.

All the food was very nice, hot and great favour. The staff were very helpful as it was our first time at a Korean BBQ. Prices are very reasonable and would recommend going with a group as it's great for a sharing platter experience.

I came all the way here on purpose, but there was no food what I want. Maybe the clerk did it specially.

for the cost of delivery and service, would have preferred it delivered to my door rather than called to collect it from the end of the road.

Love it! It was a very lovely experience, some plates maybe a bit overpriced, but all in all amazing. Only place where I enjoyed Kimchi too, and I've been to South Korea!

Still sitting in the restaurant , table booked for 8pm , told to go away because they were running behind , came back half an hour later to be stood in the middle of the room waiting for the other half of our table to be cleaned , had to ask for service after 10 mins just for a drink because all they care about is just eat orders , when it came to ordering they’d ran out of beef for the bbq , very disappointing , not sure I’ll be back

Me and my partner have been having meals at Korea House for a while now as we used to live nearby. The quality of food and service has been going down unfortunately. It used to be one of my favourite places to eat out in the Nottingham area, but not anymore. I also believe it is overpriced for what you get and they have definitely been cutting down on ingredients in some dishes. We went here for dinner on Friday last week and ordered pork and chicken for BBQ and a cheese tteokbokki. The staff ignored us for a while when we were ready to order and took orders from people who arrived well after us. Afterwards, one of the staff members turnt our grill off early saying the meat is done without checking if we're okay with it. After eating some of the chicken we realised half of the pieces were not cooked properly and still half-raw. We couldn't eat the rest. The tteokbokki was quite disappointing as well. There was barely any cheese or actual teokbokki in it. The staff apologised for the food and only took 4 quid off the total which we think it was unjustifiably little (about a third of the price of the chicken). We appreciated the gesture, but we feel we've been ripped off... We are not fussy eaters or the kind who kick off usually, but we were so disappointed by the service we received. This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner for a personal achievement, but the situation kind of ruined our night and we were worried we would get sick after eating uncooked chicken. I'm sad to say we won't be returning after this incident.

The food is delicious but overpriced. I went there on Sunday and it is not full at all. However, we were told to wait for 10 minutes. After a minute, 5 people walked in and got a table immediately, then we were told that we can have a table now as apparently the reservation was cancelled. Obviously, they lied. People keep coming in but the 'manager' treat people differently. Some were told to come back an hour later, some were told to wait outside, some were given a table immediately. As a customer, I can see the manager treat people differently because of the group size, he ignored 2 people group and kept more people group, which made me feel disrespectful. Moreover, I can't see any note showing cash only, but they take cash only.

Phenomenal food, we love the kimchi pancakes and the sweet chilli squid is to die for ! Server is also a lovely friendly bloke.

I only found out after I had eaten here that they have a food hygiene rating of 3, unfortunately not surprising. All of the food was extremely bland, I was quite shocked because it's korean barbecue so should be quite tasty! loads of new dishes and things to try; but it was genuinely incredibly bland and disappointing. The chicken was grey and tasteless! I have never seen grey chicken before. We arrived on time and had to awkwardly wait around for a table however we were at least greeted when we walked in. Food didn't take long to arrive, the same cutlery used for raw was used for cooked etc.

Absolutely delightful experience. Went there last week to celebrate a friends birthday and we had a wonderful time. The menu is very extensive and the food is prepared very quickly and is divine. I've never had so much mouthwatering food at once. There wasn't a single dish I wouldn't love. Amazing place, highly recommend!

Been several times and standards are going down. Food is OK but why all the glum faces? The bbq was chewy. The soufflé egg was not fluffy, went flat and way too salty. Everything else was just OK. Here's the worse part, still eating and was given the bill and told to leave! No apologise. Told someone is waiting for table! Barely 45 min. We booked the table, birthday dinner too. All the low scores are valid. Paying a lot of money for a very poor dining experience. They just care about table turnover not good customer service and experience. They don't care if you go back. Also check your bill for the 12. 5% surcharge, for a glummy face experience! Surcharge not noted on menu. Restaurants in London only charge 10% 3/5. Will not be back.

Very very very disappointing meal... Summary : OVERPRICED, small portion, mediocre taste, service fee 12.5% (didn't even state that it was discretionary) Kimchi jiggae - very small portion, comes with just the soup base and you'd have to pay extra for meat ingredients. Did not use to be the case according to other reviews but I guess it's a way of making their prices appear the same but in actual fact prices have increased. Also does not come with rice. Vegetable jeon - again small portion and very mediocre taste Japchae - lack of ingredients. As its name suggests it's a mixture of vegetables but it only came with a small portion of glass noodles, onions and some bits of other vegetables at most. The taste again was mediocre. I guess business is still sustaining due to lack of competition. Would I go back again? Definitely not.

I needed something fresh and dairy free due to allergies. They were helpful, put my worries at ease and the food was absolutely amazing for a reasonable price. Highly recommend. I'm not local but if I was I'd be back regularly.

Went for my Son's 18th who was keen to go to a Korean BBQ. Staff great and helped us choose enough food for 9 of us. Was able to take a cake for them to bring out too. I am sure we will be back!

We absolutely loved our first time here. We were a bit worried as we didn't know what to do but our family have all been to Korea and knew what the dishes were and how to eat them. It was a fantastic experience and we will most definitely be returning.

Amazing Korean food, really great menu. Food is prepared quickly and is delicious. We shared a selection of meat, a rice and a soup (comes in very large bowel with bowel to decant). Very filling meal and so tasty. Staff attentive and service good. I went on a wednesday evening and it was really busy so probably best to book. You can order more food as you go along so if you aren't sure how much is right you can just order some then keep topping up! Highly recommend!

Located at the heart of the Beeston town centre, this restaurant comes with a wide selection of authentic Korean food. The food quality was overall good. The tables usually come with a grill where you can cook your own food, else they will bring the cooked food to your table from the kitchen with delight. The service can be really sluggish to the point that we had to ask for our food twice. On a busy weekend, this little place can be very crowded, so prebooking is recommended. There is an adjacent car park which charges only a pound for two hour parking.

Very authentic food, we go here whenever we want a taste of our time in Korea. The only thing that disappoints me is the fact that sides (kimchi etc) are extra. I guess we just hoped for the Korean dining style as well.

My recent visit to this Korean restaurant provided a satisfying dining experience. While the flavors and ingredients were authentic, I found the food slightly saltier than my preference. I would readily recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Korean cuisine.

The best place in Beeston for food I can't recommend this place enough. Been inside 3 time's now and the staff are so friendly and helpful when picking what to eat. I've also had delivery's on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. If your thinking about eating in you must book because it's always been full everytime I've been. I definitely rate this place 5 star's.

My first visit but others in our group had been before and recommended Korean House. A great evening meal, we had booked. It was very busy however we had excellent friendly service with the waiter also cooking for us. Flavours were good and we will definitely be returning.

I’ve been 3/4 times now at Korea House. I definitely recommend it as the best KBBQ is notts but the side dishes are not constant in quality. Had an amazing bibimbap recently but the tteokbokki was so bad and not chewy I was super disappointed as last time I came it was really good! Quite expensive too! Usually spending £60 between two. Would still come again though I just had to say it. Many thanks 💖

It's very good authentic Korean food. Loved the personal BBQ in the centre of our table. Highly recommended.

Firstly, it's vastly overpriced. The BBQ was underwhelming. The meat quality was average. The drinks came out of cans. £100 for 3 will not be repeated.

This is my third visit, and the previous two times I came for dinner. The barbecue had waiters to help with the grilling, and the service was good. Today, I invited a friend to come for lunch together, and it was her first visit. We ordered two dishes to share, and it is cool today, so some spicy food was just right to warm us up. I really liked the tender tofu and spicy sauce soup. It tasted great with rice, and it felt like dining in a Korean restaurant in Korea. The prices of the dishes were reasonable, and the portions were sufficient. The ambiance was also nice. I will continue to support this place.

We had a Korean BBQ and plum wine and it was all very delicious! The staff were friendly although they forgot a couple of things and we had to remind them. Over all, I would definitely recommend this place!

It was the first time my son and I have ever tried Korean BBQ & it was amazing. Food was plentiful, our server was very nice, we didn’t have to wait long for our food & the food was amazing. The fried chicken wings were great too . We will be definitely coming back with the whole gang.

Went here last night for the first time. We didn’t know that we had to request a bbq table but it wasn’t a problem. The food was amazing. Best fried chicken we’ve had. All of the dishes were tasty, spicy and fresh. We didn’t know how much to order so we were guided by the host and he got it spot on. Service great and food very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

My first experience of Korean foods- what an amazing one it was too! We had rice bowls with bibimbap on my goodness. It was like a party in the mouth!!!

Food was very tasty after waiting 30 minutes for the motlen lava / water to cool to a point where I could have the noodles and water. I definitely enjoyed it, but for £17 I probably won't have it again. I recommend the set meal for 2. It's a big plate and more worth your money. Edit: I went again and had the set meal, and it was definitely worth it.

Had delicious rice / tofu served in sizzling hot stone bowl. Some tables were cooking their own food at the table too, really cool.

Beautiful food. The kimchi here is lush. Bibimbap, deop-bap and kanpoongi are simply divine!

The service fee is surprisingly higher than 5 many other restaurants. Also, for the seafood udon, it tastes really nice, but it is quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned in the menu.

Excellent dishes! And it's over my expectations that they have beef tartare! Delicious! Also, it's a real Korea restaurant - original and authentic. It is owned by Koreans not by people from other origins. If you want to taste real Korean dishes, it is a must visit place. This is the BEST Korean Restaurant I've been to. The food is A--MAZZ--ING. It is so great to have authentic Korean food because I will never be able to go to South Korea in my lifetime. I keep reading that they are a bit pricey, but come on guy's if you look at the work that goes into their dishes, it's not pricey at all... The owner's are really lovely people and have good staff. I try to go once every 2 week's if I can as I live in Belper Derbyshire...I really love this restaurant. Thank you sooo much for all your hard work. Love from Susanne xx

I have ordered a variety of foods from these guys and every single plate has been nothing short of amazing. One of the best restaurants in Nottingham.

I've been here before as it was my favourite place in the area due to my love for Korea. Yesterday however I was disappointed. We ordered we the beef ribs to grill at the table and once cooked I wasn't able to eat it as it was so chewy, I found it hard to swallow, I almost choke so I didn't eat it much. When you go for bbq you supposedly get a sauce and salad leaves here we had to ask. Bear in mind that on the menu for this dish it mentions that it comes with vegetables. We asked the waitress who confirmed that vegetables are provided only if the kitchen staff bbq the meat for you (that makes no sense to me). We ordered cheese topokki and here as well it was a bit of a disappointment. I was surprised to see a deep red sauce when in Korea topokki comes in a more lighter red sauce. Some topokki were hard to eat, you could understand it wasn't properly cooked (still OK to eat). we ordered the sweet chilly fried chicken and no faults on that it Was the only dish properly cooked. Lastly we got spicy pork to grill, That was tasty as well. Overall we took some food back to do a fried rice, hopefully the meat will be OK. On top of that they added 12% service charge. Easy to say we won't be going back! I Would understand surcharge for big groups only and this should be mentioned on the menu clearly is not.

what a great little restaurant. All the dishes were absolutely lovely. One of the fun parts was to cook your own meat dishes on a small grill in the centre of the table. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
