The food was absolutely amazing! From the starter platter to the beef and the pineapple rice, everything was bursting with flavour. It was all so delicious! The service was super friendly and super polite. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy. And the best part? The value for money was great. We definitely got our money’s worth. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Great restaurant to visit if you fancy something different

Went for lunch today, this is our 5th time here and each time it’s been good and then average. This was the last time I go there. Food was way below average. Pad Thai was too sweet and very greasy, green chicken curry was wrong, tasted like they had added some other flavours. These are the basics and someone needs to tasting these so they are right. Lastly the price, it’s gone up £3 from £21 to £24. When you consider you can get some set price lunches for £15 (excl drink) the Korat is coming in too expensive. Sorry Korat but you have lost me as a customer.

Food quality was very good, however they lack vegetarian options for main course. King Prawn noodles were very authentic…. Service was excellent. Will recommend if you are not a vegetarian. Unfortunately my wife is a vegetarian.

On Sunday afternoon we had the best lunch at Korat Thai in Upminster. Everything was perfect, most importantly the food was delicious and very filing and really good value. The guy serving us was brilliant, very amusing but also very professional. It was much quieter at this time but I understand it gets very busy. The lunch menu is smaller than the dinner menu but everything we ordered was delicious and we left happy and full. We will be returning to try the extensive dinner menu. Thank you.

A hidden gem. They food tasted great. And the portions are very generous. Atmosphere was lovely too. Although service was a little slow, I think the food and attention to detail made up for it.

Visited on a Wednesday evening at 7pm with a group of 7. Food was amazing, really good quality and fresh ingredients, I had the Salmon Chuchi, epic flavour but let down a little by having bones in which I didn't know from the menu. Several other people in the group had cocktails and raved about them. By about 8pm we were the only guests which was fine as a large rowdy group but would have felt uncomfortable if it had just been a dinner for 2. Thru had a seperate vegetarian menu to we didn't order from it, nor did we order any starters, but portions very generousso not needed. The waiter was fab, friendly and silly :)

This restaurant is a great spot for Thai cuisine. We tried the Satay Chicken and Spring Rolls as starters, both served with a delicious coleslaw. The food was flavorful and satisfying. The ambience is lovely and welcoming, though parking might be a bit tricky since they don’t have a private lot. You can find paid roadside parking nearby. Fun fact: they charge for hot water, so sip wisely! 😉Also, the first round of prawn crackers is on the house, but you’ll pay extra if you want more.

Bing! Wonderful experience at Korat tonight, we decided to dine in to celebrate our anniversary. So glad we did as we had a lovely time, the food was outstanding, authentic, fresh and hot! cocktails very yummy by Ram and som kiet our waiter was very attentive and in good spirits! Great Food Great Staff Well Priced Definitely a 10/10!!

On my previous visit, I gave 5 stars. Not so good now. The service was poor despite us being the only customers (Tue evening) and the food was overspiced: Massaman should be subtle so the flavours of star anise etc come out. Theirs was more like chilli sauce. The same goes for the pork satay which was mostly chilli sauce and not peanuts.

Literally the best place outside of central London I have eaten at all year. Great service, amazing cocktails, extensive vegan options and they even adapted a Massaman curry to be dairy-free for me. Thank you 💗

Visited with friends for dinner, lovely restaurant, very friendly and efficient staff, food cooked beautifully, presented lovely, our bill was £230 for 4 people, starters and mains plus a mix of soft and alcoholic drinks.

Would never be back there… the duck that ordered and see bass was both with bad smell… we didn’t even eat it … once told to the waitress he can’t even say anything at least sorry or offer something else… paid a lot and left unhappy… you can buy in supermarket something much better and more fresh.

Totally disappointed today and would not return. Korat Thai was our favourite Thai restaurant and we would be happy to travel about 16 miles just to have that special dinner. Ordered Vegan but received Chicken, isn't something to be taken lightly but they apologised simply saying their new cook doesn't know English! The dishes tasted below average, nothing compared to what we ate earlier here. They billed us twice for a drink and the staffs were super confused. The owner needs to get a skilled Thai chef and train their staff.

This restaurant is absolutely lovely. Within 2 visits it's become a firm favourite. Lovely, attentive staff. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The food is beautifully presented and it's delicious. Highly recommended 👍🏽

Lovely food and great portion sizes. Massaman Curry was very nice but not quite as spicy as I'd normally like. It was quite expensive though and I think locally there are very similar Thai restaurants that are slightly cheaper. 2 people had shared mixed starter, rice, noodles and 2 mains (1 chicken, 1 salmon) 1 beer 1 wine. £104 with added gratuity.

Ah, Korat Thai Restaurant - where the greeting is as brief as your dining experience! Upon arrival, we were swiftly informed of our two-hour time limit with all the warmth of a distant relative at a family reunion. A simple "hello" would've sufficed, but alas, pleasantries seemed to be on the menu elsewhere. Seated and handed menus quicker than you can say "Pad Thai," we dove into ordering, only to find our dishes arriving with the speed of a Formula 1 pit stop. Clearly, the phrase "freshly prepared" wasn't in their culinary dictionary. The calamari and king prawn tempura were disappointingly reminiscent of leftovers from a medieval feast - chewy, tasteless, and accompanied by a sweet chili sauce that screamed "mass-produced." As for the mains, the Chicken Pad Thai was drowning in a sea of grease, while the Chilli fish and egg fried rice seemed to have taken a dip in a vat of sauce concocted by an enthusiastic but misguided home economics student. And don't get me started on the noisy ambience, courtesy of some rowdy patrons who seemed to mistake the restaurant for a karaoke bar. But the pièce de résistance? The bill. For the princely sum of over £100, we had the pleasure of experiencing a culinary journey that left us feeling more robbed than satisfied. Needless to say, we won't be rushing back for seconds. In conclusion, if you're in the mood for Thai cuisine, I'd suggest looking elsewhere unless you have a penchant for disappointment and an empty wallet. As for Korat Thai Restaurant, they've succeeded in achieving the unthinkable - they've managed to put us off Thai food altogether. Bravo, Korat, bravo.

Most awful restaurant ever. The service was rude and grotesque. We had to wait two hours for the food, it arrived cold and uncooked. But the worst thing is that it was my friend's 60th birthday. We left the cake in the kitchen and when they brought it to the table they had thrown away the candles...and after this and much more, they didn't even apologise. shameful!! What a horrible place!

Me and my partner are huge foodies and have been to many restaurants locally and in London and I must say this one is unforgettable. The food was outstanding and the cocktails were perfect. It is pricey but you pay for what you get, but we did order a lot! The quality of food, taste and flavour was impeccable. I highly recommended the Korat Sharing soup if you like a Tom Yum. The decor was stunning and staff were amazing. Will be back again most definitely and already looking forward to out next visit! I wish I took more photos of our food but managed to get one to share. Service was excellent and food was really tasty. We were there on a Tuesday, so not much of an atmosphere per se, but it’s a lovely restaurant, so all good.

Then portion sizes for the prices are ridiculous!! The picure I have have shared is suppose to be a platter to share for 2 people for almost £30.. it tasted decent but nothingyl you couldn't get at a more reasonable price.

Food here is great. Would highly recommend Tom kha soup, the broth is one of the best I’ve had outside of Thailand. Green chicken curry was also very good, the chicken was very tender. Only thing that let this place down was one of the waiters, he was eating at the bar between the meal and when we wanted to order desserts. Didn’t seem appropriate. Other waiter was great though and would say thank you, etc in Thai which made it a nice Thai dining experience for us.

Many better Thais just down the road in Hornchurch, Pork satay average at best, The pork had no flavour, The only thing weeping was me at the price of the weeping tiger when it tasted no better than a tesco basics steak, coconut rice tasted more like butter than coconut, the sticky rice was stuck! Other than the food it was great! The waiters were good and one waiter was humorous! However the Whiskey sour was nice and the best thing I had. Spent less in Central London the weekend for better food.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our reservation on Fathers Day as our little one didn’t feel well. So we ordered in through Uber and we absolutely loved it! The Korat Fried Noodles, the Pad Thai and the Korat Pineapple Fried Rice! Very good portion sizes as well! Our little one loved the Pineapple Fried Rice!

We love Thai cuisine and this 'discovery' was very pleasant. Shique minimalistic yet cosy interior was complimented by very tasty food. I know pretty much every Thai restaurant In East London and this one is definitely one of the best I've been to.

I’ve had better but this is probably the best you’ll get in Upminster, bit on the expensive side and the servers tried to say they were fully booked until closing but then gave us a table when we came back 10 mins later Decor and vibe is pretty good, would recommend if you’re in the area I got the chicken pad Thai for £14.90, there is no service charge

We came to Korat Thai for my friend's baby shower and had the whole restaurant to ourselves, so that made for a lovely bubbly atmosphere. I think the menu was a special set menu for this type of occasion. I wasn't sure what to expect, I thought it was going to to be tiny tapas sized dishes but I was pleasantly surprised at the portions and the flavours were fantastic. Such beautiful tasty fresh food with a nice amount of chili heat. Absolutely beautiful. I would love to go back again for an evening meal - the menu is a bit pricey from what I have seen but if the food is as good as what I've had already, probably worth it for a special occasion!

Visited here with a friend around Christmas time, catching up after a couple of years and with myself living in Berlin now. Firstly, the restaurant decor is impeccable (I will take that blue colour and try to use it somewhere in my home) and the service very good - apologies if our dinner table conversation was a little rudimentary! The waiter suggested the Massaman Curry and they were able to do it as a vegetarian meal, it was extremely good. I only really have one suggestion and that's that if regular main dishes could be done as vegan or vegetarian options with Tofu then maybe consider taking the completely separate vegan/veggie section off of the back of the menu? I spent a bit of time looking through the middle at first and finding nothing for me until turning it over, and I would've personally preferred any of the main dishes with Tofu over the options on the back. It's very common for it to be like this in the many Thai and Vietnamese restaurants we have in Berlin. It might also save you money in having to have many different dishes ready to prepare when you could instead just adapt a couple with tofu. But no complaints, I'd really love to see this restaurant doing even better. Go book, now!!

Went to Korat Thai with girlfriends for a Sunday brunch. Brilliant food presented well and tastes so good, great ambience and friendly staff. Not to forget such good value for money on the brunch menu as well. Will be going back again.

A fantastic experience at Korat Thai, from service and interior but most of all, the food. Best and most authentic Thai food I've had in London to date. I've been here twice since and it has been very consistent. I personally opt for the spring rolls, which are delicious. For something that is usually considered basic, Korat upgrades them. Otherwise the Thai spare ribs are also recommended. For main course I treated myself to Panaeng dry red curry, massaman chicken and pad kra phao for each of the visits. All delicious and no complaints. The only thing I can comment on are the prices but the portions sizes are so good that you definitely get your value for money. Whenever I am in Upminster I am sure to visit Korat Thai. Thanks again!

Food was excellent with the exception of my wife’s but the service extremely poor. I booked and paid for 15 people to celebrate an occasion, it took over 50 minutes to fulfil our first drinks order and then after 1 hour ten minutes we had to ask if they would take our food order. All other tables were attended with people arriving after us and getting their food an hour before us, our order was served spasmodically with some plates served up about 20 minutes before others, we were then rushed out with the waiter clearing our table whilst we were still eating. I felt that we were treated as an inconvenience and I won’t be going back there. I left the above review in September, vowing never to return. Because the management responded in a positive way I decided it was worth a second opportunity and I’m so glad I did. We went in there this evening with friends and I have to say that the food and service was exceptional, we will definitely return. Thank you to all the staff, well done.

I have been to many thai restaurants within and outside of London, this is definitely ONE OF THE BEST. A cozy restaurant with a great interior. I stumbled across this place by chance. I was greeted by very welcoming and friendly staff. The drinks menu had a wide range of variety, with many cocktails, and the food menu had me lost for words. You could just smell the great flavours from the kitchen. I showed them a picture of a dish from my phone, which was a Thai Salmon Caesar Salad , to see if they had it and unfortunately it wasn’t on the menu. Fortunately, the chef was very kind enough to inform me that they was in the process of making a new menu and this item was to be on it. He told me that he’ll be able to make me a “one-off chef special”. I was delighted to hear that! The Thai Salmon Caesar Salad came out and i must say it was far better than i have ever tasted. The chef is very talented and really makes me feel as if i was back in Thailand. So happy to have came across this place and i have already recommended my family and friends.

Beautiful restaurant, but the female staff was not welcoming at all!!! This place recently opened up, my husband wants to go here to have his 50th birthday party, so Two female friends and I went out to try Thai dessert and this female member of staff gave us a third degree, that this is a restaurant we can’t come here just for desserts and tea! I wanted to walk out with the interrogation, but the other two ladies knew we came here on a mission. There was only one other table occupied and the rest of the place was empty. The food was nice and the the place looked like a nice spa. But don’t expect a service with a smile. But the waiter who served us tea did try to smile. Our bill was under £30 for three dessert and two tea. Reasonable price. But I wouldn’t go back there again, like they say first impression is a lasting impression.

My girls came in to Korat yesterday for dessert for a belated bday and although they were almost closed for the evening, they were happy to serve us still. Amazing service and lovely desserts. You all saved our last minute birthday celebration. Can’t wait to come back for a full night! Thank you!❤️

My partner and I visited Korat whilst visting Upminster for the first time from Bristol. As we both love Thai food we were excited to have found a Thai restaurant near to where we were staying. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady and very impressed by the modern decor of the restaurant. I ordered my favourite dish, a Massaman curry for my main course and was blown away with how fresh and just delicious it was. The portion size was very generous, making it also good value for money. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff and the service was quick and attentive. The overall experience was so pleasant that we actually came back on our final day in London for the brunch deal that was being advertised at the time (this was also very lovely). Would highly reccommend! We told the owners of the restuarant that we would be back.

Visited korat at upminster for brunch today. Had the Phuket tapas which consisted of chicken in green Thai curry. I had eaten a few small pieces of chicken and tried to cut up some larger pieces and as soon as I did this I noticed the chicken inside was completely raw , I cut another piece and that also was raw!! I told the waiter who took it away and replaced it with cooked version but I refused it. He didn’t even changed my cutlery that had cut the raw chicken. I’m at home now waiting for the inevitable!! Check your food whilst visiting this restaurant especially in low light.
