Kol Mangal in Waltham Forest

We ordered food over the phone and arrived there in 10 minutes. Didn’t have to wait long and the starters were served. Soon followed the main course. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Enquired before serving food about allergies. Excellent service. The food was delicious. Definitely worth 5 stars

Ordered for delivery a few times and always been consistently good! Their freshly baked lamb lahmacun is amazing!

Used to be my favourite restaurant in Leyton but now I hardly visit. Visited today with a friend and regretted it immediately. Poor service and half of the things they used to provide were either not ready or not available. I promised myself never to visit it again.

The salad was covered in two types of oil which I wasn't asked if I wanted (I'm almost glad the man forgot to pack it and forgot it), and the bread was also covered in some kind of spice and oil, yet again, I wasn't asked if I wanted this. If the meat hadn't tasted good, I'd have given this the lowest score. A recommendation to the staff. Ask the customer if they want things before you cover the food in it.

I was staying nearby and wanted some dinner. From the outside it doesn't look anything special, but dinner was excellent. Kebabs were very well cooked, with interested and flavoursome accompaniments, notably some fantastic bread. Service was quick, friendly and unobtrusive. For a filling meal, it represented excellent value by London standards.

I have been visiting Koz on a regular basis with my family for over 2 years, however the quality has gone down since the beginning of 2018. One of the main reasons we liked Koz was the Lamb Doner. However last time we bought it (last week) was so terrible we could hardly chew/ eat it. Will stop going there totally if they don't improve.

We normally go to another well known Turkish place but this time we decided to try here. The food is good nothing indifferent from others. Very welcoming people!

I visited here for the first time today for lunch but definitely won't be the last. It was a treat for a friend & we were a group of four & we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I ordered the small Lamb shish with rice but struggled to eat it all as the portion was still very generous. The complementary salad, bread & sauces were all very delicious too. The ladies serving were so lovely & couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you all at Koz.

Kol or Kox or Koz who knows ? lol . This is a lovely restaurant for sure . If you were a greedy person you may ,just, finish the meal . It was awesome to say the least . The chicken and lamb shish were brill but the starter of mezzi was average to say the least .

We've been coming to Leyton for the last few years to see family and friends and I wish we had found this restaurant earlier . I think the name has changed to KOZ . Whatever its not a problem as the address is the same . We really liked the layout and decor of the place ,inside and out,especially the way the food was laid out so you could see what you were getting and how they were cooking it . The chicken and lamb we had was superb and had obviously been well prepared .Starters and sundries matched this . Service throughout was excellent and I just wish we had a restaurant like this in Sheffield . Top stuff .

The food was good but since I live in southwest London, I dont think it is worth the commute however if you're in the area then the food was great. I had their mixed grill and there was loads leftover!

Off the Bakers Arms opposite a bus stop is this bustling turkish with large seating are to go with the opencast oven These are proper turkish kebabs..though could do with a little more flavour to recommended for special times

Fantastic food, great value, freshly cooked in front of you, plenty of choice. We had a mixed platter, meze started and a few soft drinks £25 for all of it. Tasty and healthy meal

Nos alojamos en un hotel cercano ( ibis styles) y este restaurante estaba a "tiro dd piedra" para cenar después de las largas caminatas por Londres. Es un sitio de comida turca estupendo; te sirven " de la casa" ensalada, pan y salsas riquísimas nada más sentarte. Una vez que pides los platos, hay que tener en cuenta que las cantidades son inmensas, asi que si no eres de mucho comer...pide el plato " small". Se nota buena calidad y los platos son ricos. Además, los camareros son atentos y eficaces. Fuimos dos veces durante la estancia en Londres. Volvería sin duda.

La comida esta muy rica. El falafel es delicioso y el humus tambien.El lamb shish es un plato muy completo, cordero, ensalada y arroz. Muy bueno.Aunque el sitio es algo frio y algo sucio.Los baños estan muy sucios tambien. Pero si vives por esta zona, es un buen lugar para comer.

The site where this restaurant is situated was home to many other failed businesses, until KOL MANGAL came along and blew the competiton away.Food is wonderful and service is second to none. My kids absolutely adore the meats and the dips that come with it. The mix platter is eye poppingly huge. Make sure you try their Adana kebab. Personally not a fan of minced lamb but this converted me. Service is a tad slow but well worth the wait.This local business will always have my full support.

I absoultely love this place very tasty food friendly staff i go there almost every week for take away or sit in price is worth for the portion/quality i would definitely recommend it!!!!!

The food is always great, generous portions & very reasonable definately the best turkish resteraunt /takeaway in Walthamstow / leyton, sometimes service is a bit disorganised when busy

So I've eaten here a few times. Mostly good. The food has always been cooked well and was delicious. Only on one occasion, the service was slow but that's ok, you're not bound to be 100% all the time.The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don't currently serve lahmacun. Once I get to taste the lahmacun I would happily give them 5 stars.Overall very good, and certainly 5 star quality for what they offer.

I have been to countless Turkish restaurants over the years, but Mangal is definitely my personal tip in East London. Their food is amazing, all fresh and every dish comes with a massive salad, lots of bread and complementary sauces.

We ate at this restaurant after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and wasn't disappointed. The food was authentic and delicious with large portions - you certainly do not leave hungry! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Would definitely eat there again if in the area.

First thing I ask is do they take cards as Alot of restaurants like this don't but this one does. The menu is good, plenty of choice and all at excellent value. Service is quick and friendly. As soon as I sit down I'm giving a large bread with dips and olives. The start hollium cheese is good but the main chicken shish is superb plenty on the plate didn't really need a starter! Can't wait to stay in the area again and try other stuff on the menu. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food. Fantastic staff. Clean lean. Great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend. Just down the road. Lots of extra food that wasn't included on the bill. Beautiful baklava treats for desert. Turkish tea. Very good price. Will def be back for more. :)

Loved the food and will visit again, Ali from Ibis Styles recommend it and cant be more better than that.

We just moved to the area a few months ago and have not been overwhelmed by the dining out options nearby. We stumbled across Kol Mangal tonight and are so pleased that we gave it a chance. The food and service were excellent, they throw in loads of complimentary treats from bread and dips at the start to tea and baklava at the end. The coal grill makes the food delicious, the portions are generous, and the bill is very easy on the pocket. Kol Mangal is definitely worth a visit.

A fabulous Turkish Restaurant offering a range of grilled meats and fish. The atmosphere in the restaurant was similar to that we have experienced in Turkey with warm, friendly and welcoming staff and the latest Turkish hits playing on the sound system. The surroundings, although currently a little clinical, are functional and comfortable. However, the food that we ordered was prepared in our view at the grill and was delicious (Good sized portions too).All main meals seem to be accompanied by bread, an assortment of dips and salad.We are certainly planning a return visit in the near future.
