Really friendly service at 9pm on a Thursday night (for takeaway). Food was tasty with still quite a good selection left to choose from. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Medium tubs were about £9 (rice/noodle + main) or £10 for Large. Large is huge, can have leftovers! I had the spicy chicken which wasn't too spicy. Chicken had a nice crunch to it. Have also tried before and would recommend their sushi.

Absolutely disgusting I have found a fried bug in my food? Cannot believe this and I am very disappointed. Not coming again. My picture isn't taken very well but believe me when I tell you, that the black dot is a real bug.

Ive had so many orders from kokoro since 2021 and i can definitely say i'm a recurring customer. The portions are amazing for its price and the food does NOT disappoint. only little problem is that they price up the items on deliveroo by around £3. Will forever love kokoro though. Picture shows my recent order of half sweet and sour chicken and half sweet chili chicken over rice.

This is really good food and they give really generous portions.

Great place to pickup sushi and hot food, went for katsu udon today but so good whenever I go.

Very good customer service with good and respectful staff who always smile at you. Sushi boxes are delicious always. Seating area could definitely be improved though.

The food was nice and staff friendly however I ordered a mixed hot meal to share. I was distracted as my baby needed feeding and only after my son take bite of the food did I realise we was served a single meal. At the same time the server realised she brought the wrong order to us and brought the correct order over. Initially she said my son could carry on eating the wrong dish then she came back after discussing with someone else and took the dish from him. This isn’t my concern that she took the food from him but I’ve had a issue in Tooting branch where someone tried to serve me a meal that had already been prepped and was waiting at the till. So I would make sure when you order they are serving fresh food in front of you because it does make me question the practices of the staff that is the second branch visited and I’ve had similar experiences in both where I question the quality of the food.

Very disappointed with the vegetable yakisoba. There were a few slim strips of carrot and two slim strips of green pepper, and the rest was a bunch of onions, with the noodles. I basically got a bowl of plain noodles for £6. If there are no proper amounts of actual vegetables in the dish, stop serving it. I couldn’t quite see what it looked like in the tray where it came from, but the staff surely did, and didn’t even mention it’s not up to standard, and just sold it to me. I should’ve looked more carefully, but I won’t be going back there to find out anyway. Waste of money.

Decent food can be a bit pricey

Okay so the food is amazing!! but i need to let you know the fried gyzos aren't halal! The place is quite messy but the staff is sweet. I feel like they should tidy up a bit. Sweet chilli chicken was to die for and the portion is enough for two.

the seaweed crab salad was not that great I couldn’t eat it but the chicken teriyaki was banging

Somehow they think it's just okay to swap out what you ordered with other things when you order online? I don't normally leave reviews but it's happened before so it can't be ignored. Go in store if you're going to order from this place

I ordered sweet and chilli chicken and salmon sushi, they tastes delicious and the price is cheap.

The food was divine. The portion size was enormous. So much meat rather than just rice or noodles. Highly recommend

I bought some sweet and sour chicken yesterday. It was so hard like it had been there all day. I called to let them know and they said can you bring the food back. I took it back the next day to the manager. She said “look you eat the food” told her how am I supposed to tell how the food is when I haven’t tasted it. She would give me her name and was making sarcastic comment when I walked out. So rude! I will be complaining to head office on Monday. I’d never eat in this branch ever again.

The best kokoro i have ever been to. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were all easily a cut above the rest. Simply excellent

Food is always great. However, the area looked very dirty as it was my first time going in store rather than order online. I did get a bit put off but they have a food hygiene rating of 5 so I couldn’t drop more than a star since it may have been because it was a Friday. Oh and it was very difficult to get in with the buggy and nobody helps you so I can’t imagine how difficult it must be, well almost impossible for someone with a wheelchair due to the step and the width of the door!

Ive ordered 3 times from Kokoro and each there is no Salmon Teryaki. If its only an afternoon option, take it off the menu. The hot food is very sweet but they do give you so much, its a two day dinner. However, after reading the reviews about stale food, racist and unprofessional staff and dirty tables I worry that the freshness of the meat dishes is being mask by the sauce. For the price, I think I'm going to leave Kokoro until the reviews change, especially as I order online so cannot see what is happening in store.

First time got a tough onion in meal....please peel onion prpperly! Also the rice is raw

I got food poisoning from the chicken

Went in at 6pm they had no salmon teriyaki the woman told me it was “only for early in the day” doesn’t say that on the menu but cool. Then went to pay for alternative items and got told it’s cash only. The worst kokoro I’ve had the displeasure of walking into.

Obviously Kokomo serves good food. Fixed price as other places. Good number of tables to dine in and very close to tram stop

It's always a different experience at Kokoro. When it's good it's quite good, but when it's bad it's not good at all. The sweet chili chicken for example was gelatinous, lacking flavour and the chicken tasted old, and the rice was very overcooked and mushy.

Some of the chicken I teriyaki chicken I ordered tasted funny and smelled the same. I was even more disappointed when I saw some of the chicken was raw! also left me on the toilet for an hour

Sushi ok, chicken katzu practically KFC fried chicken with curry sauce ... dumpling ehm maybe not Not cheap for the quality service ...so so ...place dirty ....definitely the management have to change something

Good food and portions; well worth the visit. Why three stars? They refuse cash payment and they close at 8pm, which is a shame as there are lots of people who would love a late night Kokoro.

Food was okay but we didn't like the fact that the worker immediately followed us to the front of the store, went outside and glared at us while we chose our drinks, proceeded to go back into the store and literally wait behind us until we bought our food! Now, did he do that to anyone else who came in after and as we sat and ate our food? No, except when another black customer came in. I think your staff need a course on racial awareness!

It's not as sickly sweet as their branch in Bromley, but I still left feeling like I'd had a huge dessert.

I wanted to try out the food at Kokoro for the first time today but i didn't know what to get. I only knew I wanted something spicy and asked what they can recommend.They were so kind to let me try! I absolutely love the spicy pork dish and the spicy chicken is good too. It's just what I wanted! I will definitely go there again and I will try out something different- the spicy pork is really 🔥🔥🔥fantastic! And it comes with white rice.

Good portion sizes but the food lacks variety. Meat dishes could offer vegetables as a mix to improve the recipe. Meal is quite oily too.will have to go for the sushi next time. If in Croydon would recommend Osushi.

The owner is rude. The food is poor quality. The fish is off. Disgusting tables that are sticky and gross. The service is terrible. The rice is more water than anything. Very disappointed.

Delicious sushi, good portion size, fresh ingredients. Would recommend.
