Absolutely dreadful. Avoid at all costs. Order placed for delivery and confirmation of an 18.50pm delivery, it's now 20.36 and still no sign despite several calls where promises of "it'll be there any minute". Granted its a Sat eve but lies don't keep my business. First and last order. As for quality... if I believe what I was told about the driver leaving about 8pm, it will be bloody freezing and unedible. Maybe not a bad thing having read the other reviews. Owner refused to refund or cancel as "driver already left"/ said to writr in box next time that they promised a discount. Def won't be ordering again!

The man serving constantly licks his fingers then uses his bare hands to touch the salad, cheese etc.

Ordered a couple curries for tea last night which we normally love.. however my partner found a bone in his chicken, and it wasn’t a small one either! Messaged them through Facebook with photo evidence to show them and got ignored. We love Kohe Noor and use this regularly but just wanted to put awareness out there to be careful!

Ordered via the online app, and had the order immediately declined as our postcode showed us as being in Forfar. Despite having both our full address and mobile number, whoever was in charge decided to arbitrarily cancel our order, and notified us that a refund would be issued in four to five days. An immediate phone call resulted in a dismissive, casual, 'couldn't care less' attitude from the owner. At over £30 per order, he obviously doesn't need the money. Just as well, as he'll be seeing on more of mine, and anyone asking for recommendations for Indian food in Forfar will be sent to his competitors. Not impressed

Ordered a delivery at 1640, called around 1800 person on the phone said it was out for delivery, tried to call again shortly after but the phone was "engaged" for the next 2 hours until the food arrived. Food came cold and they forgot stuff. Appreciate that its perhaps more busy than usual, but lying about the food being on the way when its clearly not is laughable. Food and service have gone down hill sharply. If you want to spend hours hungry order a takeaway here. Have your crystal ball ready though, best way to find out when the foods coming. Whatever you do, don't pay online. That way when your food doesn't turn up and they leave the phone off the hook you can call a proper takeaway.

been ordering from this place for a long time now close to 2 years of upwards of 7 - 8 times a month. in the beginning it was okay delivery times were on time and only had a couple slip ups where the food would take an hour and a half and several phone calls to finally find it's way to my house. Recently in the past 5 - 6 months the delivery time has been terrible. 3+ hours after ordering my food finally makes it's way to my house and when i call up i just get a rude attitude from whoever is on saying "we don't want to lose local customers for 1 customer just to deliver to you" because i live slightly out of brechin. tried to ask why they offer to deliver to where i live if they're just going to give false times on the website for delivery and then have it turn up 3+ hours later and got hung up on. won't be coming back to this place and i advise you stay away from it. the food is decent but it's not THAT good.

Absolutely awful.I also seen the guy eating bits from the dishes to be used to serve customers under the glass counter. The staff treat customers like rubbish, even long standing ones. That`s why so many have stopped going there, myself and friends included.

Went to the Kohe-Noor on New Year's Day at 11.30pm after the pub and we ordered one of the set meals. We had one of the chef's special Bhuna and a Passanda. The Bhuna was exactly how I like it, and the Passanda met with my wife's approval also. 20 quid including delivery and we got a lift home too. So tonight, 4th January we phoned and ordered a Fish Supper and a Steak Pie supper which were delivered promptly and were piping hot and very tasty. Great food, great service. Can't ask for any more.

We bought a meal for 3 people last week and it was of a very poor standard and in particular the onion bhajis and pakora were burnt and hard. I called and Ali said that they were very busy and the next meal would be free of charge, this was witnessed by others as the call was on handsfree. I have just made an order and asked for Ali and was told he was not there but that it was okay as Ali would sort it out. When my son went in to pick up the meal he was charged £25 and told that only the pakora and bhajis were F.O.C. I called the takeaway and was told by Tariq the Manager that Ali was off for a few days. He said that he was present when Ali had said about the free meal stating that it was only the pakora which would not be charged for - this was not correct and he basically called me a LIAR. When I told him that I would not buy any further food from the Kohe-Noor in Brechin, Tariq rudely said "Up to you" then he hung up the phone. I have been buying food from there since it opened - not any more.

We never get a takeaway from one of these multi food outlets offering curries, pizza and kebabs, but decided to give it a try after looking at the menu outside. For £19 we opted for the set b meal deal. The negatives were the popadoms were nearly soft, there was not enough salad and the pakoras were not crispy. If this was resolved, which is pretty simple, then it would have been 5 ⭐️. The nan bread was large fresh and yummy and the curries and rice were really good, far better than expected. Keep up the good work and adjust on the points raised and you will get a really good feed for a great price. There was enough left for a second night’s supper which makes it even better value😀😀

Went here for chips and a king rib and got a lovely surprise... The food is excellent, from the non-greasy chips to the rib. A must visit for anyone, who call themselves British!

Takeaway food is me and this one is right up my street. I love Indian food and these chaps hit the nail on the proverbial head every time. 3 years. 40 meals for wife and I and never been let down. Friendly staff. Prompt delivery. Reasonably priced great range of food. Great when the munchies set in. 5 stars

Had their jalfrezi tikka. Nothing like any jalfrezi I have ever had before - more like slops!!! Looked bad and tasted bad. To top it all they don’t take cards so had to go off and get cash. They have a banner outside saying Best in Brechin - suggest if that’s the best you go further afield for your curry.

The food is great. Tastes good and never had any issues with the food. The thing that gets me is the service. Regardless if you call your order in or walk in from the street, it takes forever. Coupled with the continual shouting from the counter to the back room and piping hot food coming from the back room and then being dumped on the counter, it's just chaotic. The delivery driver just stands there trying to look all intimidating. I'm sure that a village somewhere is looking for it's idiot. He stands and coughs all over the place, in close proximity to prepared food. The food is good but the rest is way below par. Dinos down the hill is on par with food but the staff are friendlier.

One of the best takeaways in the county of Angus. Great size portions and curries to die for..🌶🌶🥘🥘. Try the mixed grill which comes with a curry sauce of your choice. I can recommend the mix tandoori grill with an XX hot chilli bhuna or chilli masala sauce, the portion is massive!. The king prawn madras and vindaloo are for those who like the higher end of the Scoville scale....🌶🌶🌶🌶

I always like their currys and have tried a wide selection over the years. Rather partial to the Garlic Chili. Other things try on your own as I'm not impressed... But get the curry of choice and you will be well happy.

Horrorizados.

Sadly this take away has gone down in so many ways, we stopped buying meals from them because of the hit and miss service and quality of the food, along with the attitude of the staff if there was a problem. By chance we met the owner who manages the same take away in Forfar and who we had been ordering from before Brechin opened. After a discussion we decided to give it a go again, sadly was even worse than previous experiences so now back to spending our money elsewhere, if you want a comparison try the branch in Forfar and then try the food in Brechin, believe me you will see a huge difference in quality of food and service

Bought fish and chips for the family tea last Sunday evening. TWO fish in each supper, and was surprised how relatively cheap it was , compared to other chippy prices in the area. Definitely going back next time we have a takeaway.

requested all salad and paid for extra sauces only received chilli sauce and onions, also ordered a pizza with donner meat on top the pizza had no cheese and was burnt on the bottom, this is the 2nd time we have received a burnt pizza from them and when complaining have been told we would get a partial refund. wont be ordering from here again, a monopoly on the cuisine does not justify poor standards

We stopped for lunch on the road north after a lengthy drive. We have been several times before and everything was fine but NEVER again!! Food was very poor quality and we will not return. I had fish and chips..the fish was over cooked and dry and the chips had obviously been sitting forever, they were like cardboard, chewy and horrible. My husband had macaroni and garlic bread, he declined the chips but his plate was served with chips on it. The cheese sauce had split and was tasteless and the garlic bread was so hard it was inedible. Just under £30 for 2 meals and 2 drinks was not cheap for a lunch that couldn’t be eaten! We were that exhausted and just wanted home so we left without complaining but we definitely will not be back.

Popped in for food on a busy Saturday night, the salt n pepper chicken and chips was tasty, but the steak pie was definitely the star. It was pretty busy, so app ordering was turned off, and when we went up to the bar to place our order, the bar staff made a point of telling us that the kitchen would be closing shortly so if we wanted desserts to make sure to order them soon; which I thought was thoughtful.

I can't believe they charge £7 plus delivery for a tub of meat but no chips. Rip off!

A family get together, 21 of us, without preordering our food must have been a challenge but one that was achieved pretty well in my view. The team were lovely, friendly and efficient. Food, mains and starters arrived quickly and was piping hot, certainly hadn’t been sitting around in the kitchen before being bought to the table. Only two things I’d mention, the batter on the fish and chips was a bit greasy/ not crispy however the fish was beautiful and secondly two of our group are Coeliac so a few more Gluten free options would have been great. The Thali though deserves a special mention, it had been recommended and it lived up to expectations. This is definitely worth a visit, really varied menu, good service with a good ambiance, if we didn’t live over 400 miles away we would certainly be back.
