Wow, what a place. A varied range of cask and keg ales. Varied and all totally delicious. The pizzas are also phenomenal. Only thing that let's the place down is keeping the toilets managed and the bins emptied.

Spotted the brewery while thirsty having ascended 5 locks, all against us. Awesome pints & awesome pizzas on board we were ready to tackle the racist in Rodley where we will be mooring tonight.

Met up with a supplier for dinner and drinks and was pleasantly surprised by it all Outdoor seating was perfect for a warm August evening, located in a nice sun trap Indoors is decked out like a good old fashioned bar with glimpses of the brewery in sight The range of beer on tap (front of bar and back wall) is impressive and all sampled with glee Staff were friendly and efficient enough all evening And to top it off, we enjoyed 5 delicious pizzas with the Chicken Blue being my absolute fav Highly recommended and just a 20-25min stroll from the train station

Waiting an hour for a pizza is embarrassing service for any bar. It's a shame the service doesn't equal the food I won't be going back again.

A fitting brewery tap for this great Leeds brewery, who barely seem to ever put a foot wrong. A spacious, nicely-decorated interior, with some outdoor seating too. Good range of beers, excellent service. Half-price pizzas on Monday, but mine came half-baked too :(

Great food, great beer all served by professional and friendly staff! What I love most about Kirkstall Brewery Taproom and Kitchen, apart from all of the above, is the diversity of the crowd; whether you come alone, bring your children, your parents, your grandparents or your floofs (dogs) you'll never feel out of place. Looking forward the next visit, see you soon! Best wishes, Caroline

I came a couple weeks back with my parents when the indie market was on. It was really busy but the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The beer selection is great, especially the non alcoholic selection which my dad said is the best he’s seen. Pizza is the best I’ve had, brilliant menu and stays hot for ages. There was a wait but that’s understandable due to how busy it was plus we were informed of this before ordering. The market was fantastic, interesting stalls plus live music. We had a great time, what a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

I want to start my saying this is not our first visit to Kirkstall Brewery. We are regulars as we live in Leeds and usually pop in for a quick drink on an evening. Normally the staff are amazing (usually students who use this as a part time job). We attended as a family of 5 and for a quick few drinks before going for dinner locally. We had bought 2 rounds of drinks and served by a bar girl who seemed to be quite new. She was amazing and definitely provided service with a smile. For our last round my dad, fiancee and brother went to the bar to order drinks. My dad asked the lad on the bar if he was serving. (totally normal question for a customer to ask at a bar) The lad on the bar (JOHN) then shouted at my dad and said 'no I'm serving food can't you see' which obviously my dad found rude but didn't proceed to say anything back as he assumed he maybe under pressure. They carried on waiting for their turn to be served. 'John' then came to the bar and proceeded to serve customers behind my family. Then my dad said to him 'Haven't you got time to serve me?' John then proceeded to say 'Im not serving you tonight because your being rude' He point blank refused to serve for no reason at all. They came back to the table and explained the situation. Me and my mum went to the bar to ask why this had happened and when asking for the manager, it turned out John was the manager. Shocked at how a manager could behave like this with customers we did not understand why he would do this. Now being the only Indian family in the bar we could not fathom why he wouldn't serve only us? we asked if he does not like Indian people as he would serve the rest of the English crowd in the bar- to this he agreed and said he doesn't. Being British born and raised in Leeds, working and obtaining a doctorate, I have never experienced racism like this. Being refused drinks because of the colour of our skin. We have never seen this manager "John" for the many months we have been drinking here but will never return. Will definitely be taking this further as they employ racist staff who serve you based on the colour of your skin. Otherwise cannot fault the other members of staff who we see regularly or the food and drinks, always has been a pleasant atmosphere but will unfortunately never return after the sour taste this experience has left for us.

Been here a couple of times now and I really like it; I just wished that I lived a bit closer. The beers are fresh and taste better than they do in the pubs (although I like the Kirkstall beers in pubs!). The pizza is great with a decent choice of toppings. The decor is a bit different to other brewery taps - instead of the usual bare industrial look, it’s an acknowledgment to the traditional pub look but pretty quirky with it.

We sampled pizzas, scrolls & the roast potatoes and a few of the huge selection of beers. All at very reasonable cost. I love the feel of this place - not noisy nor rowdy, just a nice space to have a drink an a bite to eat.

Excellent pizza and huge selection of beers for reasonable prizes at the home of Kirkstall. Not sure why one would want to recreate an old pub in a modern building, but tastes differ. Should not forget to mention the friendly staff.
