Kings Walk Kitchen in Nottingham

Visited a friend in Notts yesterday and we stumbled across this little hot spot. Great little place with indoor and outdoor seating and both areas extremely clean and presentable. Lovely range of food items with a selection for everyone from breakfasts, to toasted sandwiches, fresh sandwiches, smoothies and a great selection of delicious cakes! The staff are absolutely lovely and really helpful. One of the staff helped in my hut if need when there was a spillage over our backage containing outfit changes for that night. He couldn’t be more helpful in offering to help dry my clothes and replacing the spilt drink. The food was beautiful and the quality and freshness means I’ll be back on my return to Nottingham. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing!

Such a lovely place to have a break from your days activities The food is very fresh, well presented lots of choice. All home made which is made even better by the lovely staff and the ever welcoming, genuine helpful Sam. The prices are very reasonable, its lovely and bright and a great spot on the corner to watch the world go by.

When we are in Nottingham City centre we return to this lovely cafe. It is clean, it has a fantastic choice of homemade foods, dietary requirements and with vegan options It is bright and sits on the corner which is great for watching the world go by. The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Sam, who greets everyone with a warm smile, Sam makes helpful suggestions when choosing what to eat and is just a pleasure. For a bite to eat , cake or just a coffee you won't go wrong at Kings Walk Kitchen

Amazingly helpful young man and his colleague. So helpful, informative and kind. Great selection of foods and made even better by the curtesy given by Sam and the lovely relaxed atmosphere he creates. This is so needed after the dreadful covid years. Well done to whoever had the foresight to employ him. Wish there were more Sams in this world. Thank you.

We have dined here for breakfast on several occasions when visiting Nottingham and have found it a very pleasant café. The food is of a good standard and tastes good, there is no need to rush and you can sit and relax whilst watching the world go by. We will definitely be returning.

Went there with my daughter for breakfast. The service was excellent, the staff were nice welcoming and friendly. My daughter had the vegetarian breakfast bagel and really loved it, I had the full English, and that was really nice. The coffee in the café is to die for, and makes Costa Coffee taste dull. To be honest everything was so good that we went back the next day, and enjoyed it all over again!!!

I found this place recently after being recommended it when my usual spot was not serving brunch (the kitchen on pelham street). What a lovely surprise it was! A breath of fresh air in a street over run with chains. The cafe its self is lovely, so open with plants hanging, chilled music on and a huge window to sit and people watch out of. I ordered a latte and a millionaires slice (which was huge!) both were great. Coffee was lovely and not bitter, millionaires slice was so good I had to take half home. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in the side door, greeting me straight away. All served with a smile, checked if everything was okay with my coffee & a lady (young lady) with long brown and blonde hair was a stand out to me; friendly and professional. Will be visiting soon and telling others to do too.

All of the staff are so lovely and the service is amazing and quick! The food and drinks are divine, definitely one of my favourite places to go to.

Visited here recently and the experience left a lot to be desired to be honest. The coffee I had was lukewarm and so was the service. When I bought it to their attention it was replaced but there was no apology given. There really isn’t much more to be said.

First time here with the family, and very good breakfast. The full breakfast was great, good vegan options and very good coffee. It was a busy Sunday morning but very good quick service, staff were very friendly, and definitely will go again.

Well what a disaster! Having visited this café numerous times and having good experiences on each visit we was completely dismayed by today’s ordeal. firstly when we arrived it was extremely busy as there was some event going on the square, We managed to find a table, we’re a lady have been sitting for 15 minutes waiting for The table to be cleared in order that she could join the queue and order a coffee. The lady was kind enough to give us her table, and she left the café dismayed and unhappy. We then joined the outdoor queue to order breakfast and coffee for ourselves. This took a further 17 minutes just to get our order in, but we were happy to wait as we had planned to come here. Unfortunately when the food arrived two of the breakfasts were cold, I decided to send mine back as I cannot eat cold food my partner on the other hand decided to tuck into his as he doesn’t mind it cool. We also noticed that we had no knives with our cutlery so I asked for knives and was told there are no knives…. so I can give you a spoon as we’ve been too busy to clean the cutlery. Obviously I insisted that they go clean some in order that I can eat my breakfast, cut my sausage, bacon and spread my toast. The server with attitude left the table and proceeded to get me some cutlery, which arrived and it was questionable it had been cleaned! When I approached the counter to speak to staff about my cold food, I was met with screwed up face and the staff member who I believe to be the manager said are you joking it’s “freezing”. I obviously replied yes it’s cold could you please give me a fresh one, There was no apology at any point. A server approached and whipped my breakfast away without saying anything and disappeared. The whole thing was like a sketch out of Little Britain. Sufficed to say some three minutes later by my surprise breakfast came back to the table to my dismay they had reheated the same breakfast! I now have two solid eggs and reheated microwaved toast! This was sent back and I asked to speak to Manager. Sufficed to say the manager never arrived my partner went account in order to get a refund and expressed his dissatisfaction to which he was subsequently barred from visiting again! which is very extreme. Clearly they could not cope with volume and thought it best to speak to and interact with customers in such a way! The table behind us was in dismay, and couldn’t believe what we was experiencing. However their food arrived and yes you have guessed it! no knives…. Now if they had just apologised and replaced the breakfast in the proper way, without the attitude there would’ve been no issue and we would have been quite understanding of how busy they can get. Unfortunately i would have to say stay away! If you can not get the basics right, you shouldn’t be in business in the first place! The manager/owner in my view has no place in hospitality, and if she’s not the owner my advice would be, get rid and save your business while you still can!

Had a lovely coffee here. It was hot, for a start, which can't be said for a lot of places. For me, having a coffee is the chance for a short break from the madding world, an interlude of relaxation and refreshment; but if the coffee isn't hot, you don't have the sublime pleasure of sipping, and before you know it, it's been swilled down and you're gone. But here it was hot, and the coffee had good flavour. And they serve the milk separately, always the best way. Means you can add (or not add), as much as you like, according to taste and temperature. So full marks to this cafe. It's a relaxing place to sit and drink. A better experience, for me, than the 200 Degrees outlets, for example. A great option on a quiet corner just off Nottingham's main shopping street. To use a cliché, hidden gem.

I wanted breakfast with my family at an independent cafe, kings walk kitchen was super… great service, great food options and lush sour dough bread, all at an affordable price.

Very friendly staff. Decent cup of tea, zone and pastry. Strangely quiet, but offering a pleasantly different option to some of the chains in thd surrounding area. Worth a visit.

This place poos all over pudding pantry. The food is hot, it’s beautifully presented, it’s flexible, it’s a beautiful setting and I love brining my friends here. Uni work is also so easy to do here and I love it. Top of the list!!!!!
