I have ordered today the first time from the kings of punjab. The food came when I opened the food it had very bad smell to it, and it was also very very spicy to the point we could not even eat it. Will definitely not order again

Great food, great service, we had fish curry, saag, maki di roti and chilli and garlic naan... Beautiful food... I am planning to arrange my father's 80th birthday.

Just for I will add my name. found your response amusing as your instant response is you know who this person is, and it's a fake profile!!! I will assume there has been a similar event happen in the past week. Ok lets start again! (character limit reached to add this on previous post) What I ordered: V mixed grill Meat mixed grill Paneer tikka burger 2 masala chips Salad Starter spring rolls. 1 butter nan Drinks: 1 Pepsi 2 Orange juices Cost around £60-65 Before arriving at the restaurant I called to confirm they were open and serving food as our first choice of restaurant kitchen was closed. We chose this place to dine as I had heard radio ads on this place previously, and my colleague had been there a few times before for family meals and recommended it. A member of staff answered the phone. I asked, "Are you serving food?" his response was 'who,' I asked again, twice and he confirmed they were open. On arrival there's a small free car park which is convenient due to location, there were 2/3 spaces available. On entry, there's a small corridor and toilets leading to the restaurant area. We selected our seats. As the weather was warm, I chose to sit by an open door, but the radiator behind me was on. A waiter followed us through with the menu. The atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, we were the only ones in the restaurant and there was a quiet function in the VIP lounge. Which explained the parking being full. As my friend is a strict vegetarian, we chose our own dishes and would have just taken away what we didn't eat. The waiting staff were polite. The irony is that we hate food waste when the waiter brought out a big plate of salad. I asked him to bring back half as it would go to waste, and he suggested having it packed. The paneer tikka burger didn't taste very nice and was put aside after a bite but my friend was happy with the veg mixed grill and packed his left overs. As I've already mentioned my review on my mixed grill, I did have a bite and take it out on the tissue and close examination. I see the feathers. The chicken was absolutely disgusting The picture shows what was left of my mix grill as stated in my review earlier. I would think most ppl would be doubtful about returning a dish or ordering anything further after making a complaint on the food. As we continued our meal, we called the waiter. My friend had to order another drink as a fly had landed into his drink. (It was our choice to sit by the open door) As I mentioned to the I did eat all my chips. It would have been a better meal to go to a local chip shop and get fish and chips for a 1/4 of the cost! I did mention to the waiter about the feathers on my chicken and bad quality of meat, he looked down and apologised. I asked for the bill, which was around 60.00-65.00. The ladies toilets were clean though there was no need to lock as the doors were too big for frame and had to be pushed hard to open and close, making loud squeaky noise. The hand dryers were out of use, and there was a roll in replacement, which was acceptable. As you can see from the owners response, you can see how the owner deals with bad reviews 🙄.....right? as the owner will now want to go back and check his cctv and with the the upload of my photos showing the time and date and location which can not be edited, I confirm I am a verified customer and an honest review has been left. I will also add that the owner is unprofessional and rude!!! These type of money greed places do not deserve our money who think it is okay to serve cheap quality food and respond rudely to complaints.

I recently visited Kings of Punjab and had an amazing experience. I ordered the chole bhature with a side of lassi, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious. The chole was perfectly spiced and the bhature were light and fluffy. The lassi was a refreshing complement to the meal. Moreover, the staff was incredibly polite and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Kings of Punjab is a fantastic place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and flavorful food with excellent service. Highly recommended!

Terrible service and very bad staff. the owner kuku is very very rude and almost abusive when we asked few things. I have ordered dal chapati and few other things and Dal was very bad in taste like it was served old. if I could give zero star I would happily give it . when we called chef, his name was Nipun and he was very rude and not helpful at all. Will never be going back ever.

Very bad smell as soon as we walked in. Smell like dirty blocked toilets. At the bar they were burning incense . I am sorry but fix the problem dont just mask it. Stinks like toilets will never visit again or reccomend . Table was wobbly moving so much that we had to move to another because our drinks would have fallen ... bar man was rude by not saying hello what wojld you like . He just did not say a word Weird staff.

I ordered 2 chiken noodles..the worst food ever... Too much oil and sour taste...waste of money and the atomosphere was very bad... Someone hosting the party inside toooo many noises and disturbances for us... Worst experince ever..they even didn't give any reduction for their worst food. I don't suggest this shop anymore

Last night was my third visit to Kings of Punjab. Always find that quality of food is top class. The owner always meet and greet to make you comfortable. Tandoori fish is one of my favourite. Highly recommended 👍😍

I went with my family to this place. If you're craving authentic North Indian cuisine, I highly recommend this place. The flavors of the food were absolutely delightful; I can still savor them. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was exceptionally polite.

Not happy at all. Found a plastic bit in the food and not even once the owner apologised or offered anything. The food was so so not hot just warm. Burger looks like it's from Iceland shopping. Sorry, but I will never step in that place again.

No place better than Kings of Punjab for fine foods...THE BEST chhole bathure outside of India hands down -no comparison! This is our regular go to, since K.O.P. has opened, we don't go anywhere else. Butter chicken, dal makhani, tandoori fish tikka are Absolute best in Brum, as are the sweets - kulfi, Gulab Jamuns & Rasmalai!👌👌👌👍

The food is excellent, good kind service, yesterday I was near the kulvider Kaur table what she wrote is lies I was sitting next to their table no one was rude the owner wS very helpful they just lied about the food,the restaurant was full everyone was happy except them I think they had arguments themselves and decided to leave and try to blame on someone else

The food was inedible and the service was even worse. Went to this place for a family meal. Ordered our drinks, starters and mains. Drinks arrived and one of the drinks we ordered was a lager shandy. Three times we complained that we have ordered a lager shandy and there times we were given a lager. Not rocket science!! The starters arrived and omg, disgusting. We Complained and the man whom we complained to.was apparently the owner’s nephew and he was extremely rude. At this point we cancelled our mains, paid for the drinks and disgusting starters and walked out and went to another restaurant to finish our meal. If you want proper Punjabi food, this is NOT the place! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

We held a lohri event in their venue. Their service was superior and so was the staff I definitely recommend them as their food is perfect as the dietary requirements are met on your set of food preferences. The venue was beautiful and the owner is a delightful person

This is our go to place for true Punjabi food in Birmingham now. The food is awesome. We love the Chole Bhature and Amritsari Kulche. The masala in the Bhature is simply lip smacking. Reminds of good old days in old Delhi. The service is also superb. The owners tend to every guest like family. No suprise that they have a steady stream of long term clientele. Highly highly recommend this place to everyone.

Brilliant food full of flavour perfect spice and perfect amount of food

ZERO STARS AVOID IT. KING OF HALAL he need’s to change it to or should I say KING & QUEEN OF HALAL! This is taking the mickey out of Singh’s that do not consume Halal meat. They should change their trading name as they are deceiving the Sikh Community. Went there and had starters and main course and it cost around £35 a head bloody rip off. There was around 25-30 of us seated on three round large tables in a private area. This guy didn’t want us to have another table just to put belongings on, he said if the table cloth gets dirty he’ll charge us for the cleaning. He just removed the table away which was strange. Totally arrogant, don’t let the appearance deceive you wicked old man. The starters come on a platter plate once and that was it some of us left with just a wing or so. Same with samosas and spring rolls. It was coming in drips and drabs, very unorganised. We had to ask on numerous occasions to what’s happening with the food but they were like headless chickens. The old man was making his presence feel with his special appearances and quick talk to the waiters. About an hour or so later they had the main course ready in the Bain Marie and that done like a buffet style. So we went to the table set up were they serving the food and the portions were very small as if we were not going to pay them. But they were on strict orders from the old man KING OF HALAL put minimum in when serving. To get your portion topped up you literally had beg the waiter for some more even then it was a small top up. The staff must have been hypnotised by the old man or his partner in crime. Just behind on a table was a plate of salad that needed to be shared by 25-30 of us. Couldn’t make this up, if they have mices even they will be struggling to find crumbs. This guy is tight as a ducks a***. As they say in Punjabi for Scrooge it’s Maki Conjuice. When desert come it was an Indian sweet and ice cream initially then there was some without ice cream. When asked about where’s the ice cream they said they had ran out of it. We said we’re paying for it with ice cream the waiter said O let me check and the waiter came back with ice cream. Something definitely going on there. The whole experience ruined our family get together. Definitely will NOT recommend this place. ALL I CAN SAY THERES MANY OTHER PLACES IN THE MIDLAND THAT ACTUALLY DO NOT SERVE HALAL FOOD WITH GREAT HOSPITALITY AT A FRACTION OF THE COST. SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE AND ENJOY

I been to this place last week attending a birthday function and it had excellent service.The waiters were really friendly and care taking and also the chefs did an amazing job with their special dishes,highly recommended.

I am livid about my experience at Kings of Punjab! 😡 They straight up lied to us not once, but twice about their food being halal. Can you believe that? It's outrageous and completely unacceptable! They had no respect for our dietary needs and didn't even bother to offer vegetarian options or cater to coeliacs. And don't even get me started on how they crammed our group of 27 onto just three tables. It was uncomfortable and showed a complete lack of consideration. And to add insult to injury, they had the nerve to threaten us with cleaning charges if the table got dirty. Talk about adding insult to injury! The whole place was a mess, with one mixed grill for ten people coming out at different times. It was chaotic and poorly organized. And let's not forget the ice cream debacle. They conveniently claimed to have none until we mentioned we were paying for it, and suddenly it miraculously appeared. I am beyond furious with Kings of Punjab. They completely ruined our dining experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone! 😡😡😡

Good quality authentic Indian food. Excellent value for money n good service

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Booked for a family birthday and honestly couldn't be more disappointed. There were 27 of us, our bill came to well over £750. And I don't understand what we paid for. Mixed messages around whether or not the food was halal. We were told initially it was NOT halal, only to find out part way through the meal that it WAS halal. We are Sikhs and don't eat halal meat, so this was extremely disappointing. The quantity and quality of food was honestly abysmal considering it was a privately booked event where we were charged so much. The service was slow, half of the family received ice cream with their dessert, half didn't, only to be told "they ran out". Our dietary requirements were not met, being coeliac and vegetarian was not understood. We were practically kicked out of the restaurant by the end of the evening, the staff and owner drove out of the car park before we did. Quality, service with a smile, getting your money's worth - obviously not something in their vocabulary. Would 100% NOT recommend.

We visited for a birthday lunch.8 of us..the large mix grill starter was lovely.ordered meat dishes for mains.not great.1 of us ordered mild yet was spicy. Another ordered spicy & was mild..maybe vegetarian better.seems under staffed.we Asked for the cake 3x .heard the boss saying to server not to & to do this(task) ..instead of bringing cake over. as we were leaving the cake arrived.no plates.cutlery. we took it home instead. Unprofessional . Disorganised. Would I visit again? Yes but not in a group of 6 or more. Which is a shame.plus I'd order vegetarian. However the servers / girls were lovely.

Just been to a birthday party at this restaurant. It is one of the best restaurants in the UK I have been... Authentic Indian dishes, no compromise on taste, no artificial colours or flavours. A great ambience and very friendly staff. Would like to visit again....

I recently visited Kings of Punjab restaurant and had an incredibly delicious breakfast. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. I'm definitely planning to visit again and again.

The Service was absolutely ridiculous. The waiter refused to give my table a drinks menu making excuses. The key took forever to bring the drinks over once we ordered. After we had our meal we asked the waiter to bring over the b’day cake so the waiter bring the cake to the table in the closed box with all our dirty dishes left on the table. Wouldn’t be dining there again

A must try for chicken biryani and shahi paneer.

What an amazing find🙏🏾 visited here yesterday with my wife after searching on google and the food was amazing aswel as the customer service. Hospitality was 5*. We even got handed a small gift which was exceptional. Amazing place will visit you again 5 ⭐️ from us 👌🏾

I had masala dosa ,must say never had such tasty and crispy masala dosa in uk ,sambhar was owesome ,please visit kings of punjab and must have their mouth watering dishes ,am sure u will remember real taste of India.i got 25 years experience ,you can come with family and have meal here ,we will make you happy with our food and services thanks 😊

This pub used to be amazing so good, now the pub has had a change of management and it’s no longer the same. We have tried few curries, dosa and chole Bhature but, it’s been really disappointing. Dosa is bland, its too soft not cooked properly. The bhature is really nice but, chole doesn’t compliments it very well.

We have been coming here multiple times and loved the food each time! Our favourite is Tandoori fish! Definitely recommend this place!

The food was enjoyable, evoking memories of my time in Punjab. However, there is room for improvement in the service department. The staff did not inquire about my needs or any special occasions. Therefore, staff members should work on enhancing their communication and attentiveness skills. Shifting attention to the dining experience, I noticed that the table was slightly sticky, making me reluctant to place my hands on it. It was not as clean as I would have preferred. Furthermore, while savouring my meal, I found it disruptive that the staff briefing was taking place in the dining area. It would have been more appropriate to conduct such discussions in an office or a private space, rather than in the presence of diners. Personally, I found this to be somewhat impolite. Based on these observations, I've assigned the following star ratings: Food: 4 stars Service: 2 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars

After listening the add on radio XL everyday i decided to give it a go today for the desi nashta. The food was piping hot and indeed first bite of pathooray chany took me back to Lahore Anarkali bazar. It really tastes yummy and have outsmarted ladypool road's nashtay services. We also ordred halwa poori which was little diffrent to what we eat in lahore however we did enjoyed new tasye of the other side of punjab. Qeema nan was fire and i couldn't fault any of the food item and staff were so friendly and attentive.Had a lovely chat with Cukcoo uncle and his mrs and lovely to hear about the history. Surely i would recommend to my freinds and family. Yes it is out of my way however the journey was worth it.

Their food is so good after new management. Chhole bhature is authentic delhi style, their Chinese is also good. Truly Indian taste.

We had a civil wedding reception party for 50 guests. The venue went above and beyond to cater for us. The food was delicious and served with love and care. We had a vegetarian menu which was delicious. The set up and flower wall was great and we got lots of beautiful photos. I understand that there's new owners and must say we were very well looked after. I would recommend the venue for small parties. We loved the food so much that we got them to cater for 130 guests for a party at home a week later. They were very reasonable and even gave us the waiters to serve us at home. Brilliant food. Thank you 😊

I visited this restaurant yesterday. We are regulars at this restaurant. I ordered soya biryani and 2 other dishes. Very nice food. One of the main reasons i am giving a rating of 5 stars is because of the new owner of restaurant. He is very gracious hospitable and accommodating. Great person. He ensures the food and service is of a very high standard. Thank you. I recommend this restaurant highly.

It is very expensive for what it is. Curry's were below average. Poor service. Grim and sad atmosphere. There was hardly anybody in the place. The ones that were there were too rowdy.

Went today for dine in because we had ordered home some time back. The food was not fresh at all. The coca cola had no fizz. The owner was sitting there and was adamant the drink was fine. Overall the place has gone downhill.

This was on of our favourite food restaurant for good punjabi food But from last two visit the chef I guess is changed Went with family Sunday night didn’t eat anything Sent all the golgappe back as nothing did taste right! The entire experience was lovely. The staff were very friendly and provided quick service, and the food was truly amazing. I highly recommend trying the Bhindi Masala and Veggie Momos, they were both exceptional.

We booked the VIP room for a 70th birthday party. The food was amazing. The hosting was brilliant, there was always someone there to ask if we needed anything and we were looked after the whole evening. We were allowed to play our own music, the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish.

Excellent food with great reasonable prices also quantity are good. Love to eat again and I suggest to people should visit and try this awesome food

I like my food mildly spiced and I ordered Lamb Biryani, it was too spicy for me and too many bones. The rest of my food was delicious and I would go here again and try something different. Very clean and friendly place.

I am from Manchester, went to Birmingham for passport renewal, and went for Lunch in Kings of Panjab which really was delicious food. I have ordered Sarsho ki Saagh, butter nan, Mutton curry, Golgappe & Chicken wings.

When it comes to mix grill bars this is one of my favourite places to eat at. The decor inside is high end and the staff are really friendly and treat you like family. The food and drink here are very reasonably priced and the food portions are a decent size. You will always end up taking food home. The curry’s are my go to I have never been disappointed here I would recommend this place to anyone that likes a good mix grill and curry. A great place to watch the Football World Cup 2022.

I booked my daughters Graduation dinner here for 21 people and we were very pleased overall. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly looked after us really well. Can't fault the place and will definitely be booking again in the future

For starters we had paneer pakoras, aalo tikkis, noodles, veg Manchurian which were all scrumptious 😋😋 For mains we had kurkari bhindi, shahi paneer, daal makhani, bhoondi raita, rice with peas and naans which again were mind blowing😋😋 Will surely visit again with my family.

King of Punjab is one of the best food places to go to, time and time again. Excellent service, great service and good food. I rate it 5 star, recommend it to everyone.
