Golden Wok (Rowley Regis) in Sandwell

First time here the customer service was fantastic and the delivery time great, food portion size was okay however the was big hair cook into the chicken in the chow mein and large spring was deep fried and dripping in oil both chow Mein smell chemically wouldn't recommend

Yesterday we made quite a big family order for delivery. Food was hot and fresh and was delivered promptly. Value for money. Everyone was happy.

Ordered sweet and sour Cantonese chicken,been eating them for over 30years and can honestly say that was the worst.no flavour in the sauce,chicken tasted salty and was very chewy,hardly any pineapple,carrot and no green pepper at all,If I could give no stars I would.As you can probably tell I won't be going there again.

Had a special chow mein absolute crap full of broccoli carrots and water melon no Chinese vegetables at all could do better myself

Used the golden wok for a long time....but lately the food has way to much garlic in it which is normally to cover up bad meat....we ordered beef curry..(no way was that beef)..no way...chips were soggy ...chicken balls were extremely greasy...could eat the prawn crackers ...my wife and my self both have upset stomachs this morning..half of our order went in the bin....sorry golden wok it's time to move on...

If I could give a lower review I would. Not one for posting these but I’m a 10 min drive away and appear on all the delivery apps for me so placed an order. After an hour wait they decided to cancel it as I’m “too far away”. Absolute joke. Don’t accept the order to begin with and don’t ruin people’s evenings.

Best food I have had from a takeaway for a long time

I got food poisoning 4 days ago from here. Still suffering. Will not order from here again.

Had food from here lots of times always been amazing but had food from here last week and was awful had food from here again this week and really bad again called up to let them know and the girl on the phone just said it’s the same as it always has been nothing has changed well my last 2 orders have been really bad no flavour no meat just awful all meals before this have been great not sure what’s changed but food last couple of weeks have been well below standard

Great quality food, a great range of Chinese dishes including seafood, roast pork, roast duck, restaurant is cosy and warm, ice cream machine with delicious ice cream mix 🍦used (vanilla) and they do also a caramelised crispy banana. Prices reflects the food quality/variety. I would definitely come back again. 😊

Ordered a Chicken curry and chips that not only tasted bitter and smelt but gave me stomach cramps for 3 days. First and last time I'll oder from there.

Spent £30 on four meals and to give you a breakdown the rice was bland, the batter on the prawns was soggy, the ribs smelt and to make it worst we came down with a case of a stomach cramps.

Only ordered from here as our normal Chinese was shut. However food was delicious, we had beef curry, sweet chilli chicken and Chinese pork rice noodles, all very tasty. Plus they gave us 4 mini spring rolls free which was a nice surprise. We will be coming back here next time, instead of going back to the Chinese we used previously!

Recently moved to the area and was on the hunt for a good Chinese. Golden Wok didn't disappoint. Food was hot and tasty!! Would recommend 100%

Ordered on a Saturday night when another delivery was a no show. Food arrived quickly, piping hot and really tasty. A consistently good meal, I love their hot and sour soup!

Tried Golden Wok recently following favourable reviews. Rice vermicelli was tasty but unfortunately the chow mean was swimming in oil at the bottom which was disappointing. I'm undecided whether to try again but avoid chow mein dishes

The fried rice wasn't fried at all very sloppy. If I wanted boiled rice, bearly fried I would have made myself. The mushroom curry was just ok but not nice enough to order anything again.

Popped in after a Google search or top rated Chinese takeaways in the area. Ordered a Singapore vermicelli rice and it was sooo good! Very good, friendly, quick service. Comprehensive menu which was easy to pick from. Very clean takeaway too.

Excellent food with good service.

Finding a good Chinese Take away is hard. After looking at the reviews we decided to give it a try. I’m so pleased we did, food is fresh and has plenty of taste, portion sizes are good. Singapore Chow Mein is the best I’ve ever tasted Best take away in the area staff are friendly and service is excellent

This has to be the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had :-( I've tried several since moving to the area and stumbled across this place after looking at positive reviews but I must have higher expectations to say the least. The food took ages to be delivered, no big deal but the quality was absolutely diabolical. Chips were thin, dried up but soggy at the same time (I guess from the moisture and time they were left in the bag). Both Chow Mein dishes were absolutely flavourless and after a few mouthfuls were ditched. The spring roll was like it was made from batter and so hard and greasy. Mini spring rolls were like little dried up bits of cardboard. The ribs were more fat than meat but tasted ok....that was the only thing that was really edible. I know a lot of people say this but genuinely....pretty much most of it went in the bin and it was a complete waste of money. They even sent a small bag with a 'sample' of spicy chips that looked like they were a week old and microwaved. I won't be trying them again :-( having also looked at most reviews, they are clearly fake accounts.

First time trying this place staff were so nice and the food was one of the best of had in ages. I will be recommending Golden Wok to friends and family.

Really cannot fault the food here every meal we have is lovely ! Meats always tender service is always good hot is always hot and the staff are always polite it’s so hard to find a nice Chinese with good quality meat but you pay for what you get !!

Great food, friendly staff! Their ribs are meaty and not burned. The fried items are light- not soaked in oil. They send small "tasters" to help you try new items... (chili chips!) The Thai curries are delicate, the Chinese curries are robust and flavourful. The portions are good, but the best part of this restaurant, even better than the food, it how friendly, helpful, and accommodating the staff are. Whenever we have asked for "adjustments" to things, they have cheerfully worked with us. Never had a bad meal here... and they deliver pretty quickly.

I made a big order in store today. Everything was beautifully cooked. I was recommended to try tofu and it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly, I felt welcome. Can’t wait to visit again!

Really good first experience. Think they are relatively new. Phoned in order and my son collected. Very pleasant phone call, premises looked really nice and clean. Had our usual, cantonese sweet and sour king prawn and fried rice, duck fried rice and cantonese sweet and sour chicken. All excellent, not greasy and lovely and hot when it arrived home. . Prices very reasonable. So pleased to have found a good local chinese, I hope we are not too far off delivery routes, but still within 3 miles so collect not a problem.

Very delicious food and caters very well for vegetarians. I like the udon noodles with vegetables and Quorn and salt pepper chips. The lady(presuming is the owner) is very friendly and professional. I'll definitely be using again.

Me and my partner recently moved to the area and I tried this Chinese on my own a few weeks ago and was impressed with the service and tonight me and my partner have ordered together and it's her first time trying their food, it came within like 10 mins of ordering and the food is just as good if not better than last time, decent prices for the high quality of food and service, highly recommend you order from here if you haven't already 10/10

Excellent choice of food here and fair pricing too. They also do some deals which are worth checking out too. The food is well labelled and you can easily ask for your dish to be extra spicy or whatever suits your tastes. Good value and excellent service too. The food is always hot and service is quick.

AMAZING! Probably the best Chinese I’ve ever had. I was looking for a new Chinese closer to my new house and it is daunting when trying somewhere new. But you will not be disappointed. Customer service 10/10 and food 10/10. They even do loyalty cards and a sample of the TSO chicken which also, if you like TGIs sesame chicken try their seasame TSO 😭🤤😍 !!!

Asked for a mild chicken curry.. Was the hottest I've ever had

Chicken fried rice bland no flavour more like plain boiled, chicken curry - only 4 pieces of chewy inedible chicken, curry sauce ok, again egg fried rice with curry no flavour would not recommend or order from here again.

Told it would take between 45 minutes and up to an Hour. Took an hour 15 but I didn't mind. I normally have Amber but wanted to try something different. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from Here again. The Chips seemed Undercooked and the BBQ sauce with the Ribs was like Oil, rather Watery. Even threw the remaining Ribs away. Ordered from Here because the ratings from other reviews seemed better than surrounding take out places. But No, not for Me or My Family.

Thought I would give this place a try tonight , well what shame two chicken fried rice dishes that had no egg, peas, spring onions or anything to make it look and taste nice. When I called in to leave feed back I was told i had to bring it back to the shop as the driver is out delivering. Isn't the idea of a takeaway to get food delivered ???? 10 sounds down the drain. If you are looking for good food please move on.,

Not good at all the soft noodles was full of onions. The egg fried rice tasted like boiled rice and the chips was under cooked to the point were they was hard in the middle and found a hair in the rice as well if you want a better take away go some where els and the portion sizes are the smallest I have ever had from a take away NO GO PEOPLE
