King's Oak Club in East Lindsey

Sadly after a few visits 2 years ago, we were disappointed with the food. ) egg, sausage and chips plus Hawian chicken seemed OK when we ordered but my egg and chips had sausage uneatable. We had a bottle of wine and a pint. Very dissatisfied with the meal. Returned a several times since and been treated ok with lady owner. Food/ambience was always also OK. Returned 14/03/25 and shocked at treatment from head chef. I commented to miserable bar staff to smile! Place was empty on this a Friday night. Chef was rude/ ignorant, I said we were customers to which he said yes he knew after i had selected food and wine (expensive),near £40. Bottle placed on bar was retracted and told to leave, only cash payments at this place . Cash was refunded. A really depressing atmosphere and don't reccomend anyone wanting a happy experience . We won't be back as our cash or prescence is not wanted. We are both polight and in our eighties and cannot abide bad manners and service. I confirm that this is an honest appraisal and willing to meet anyone face to face to discuss.

Rude staff. The whole atmosphere makes you feel unwelcome unless you’re a local. Can’t play on most of the machines as they are turned off or broken. Such an awkward atmosphere you feel so uncomfortable just walking in to the place.

As we have 2 dogs, it's often hard to find decent places to eat indoors. As it was our anniversary too, we decided to give the King's Oak a try, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The food was plentiful, and when they say hand cut chips, they are exactly that. There was nothing to complain about other than no room for a dessert. Easy to get to on public transport which is a must for us. Definitely recommend and will be back in the not to distant future

1st and last time I visit , ordered food as a family 1 meal came out 15 mins before the others to be cold and dry , other meal mash potatoes was like a rock, reported to bar staff but just got a sorry and tickets got mixed up nothing else we can do ?? Top service

And 1 star is been polite. Absolutely shocking food, shocking service and the most diabolical attitudes. This was the first time visiting and it will definitely be the last. We came for a meal as a family, the first meal came out 15-20 minutes before the rest which we found poor in itself after around 20 minutes we asked where the rest of the food were to be told it's just been plated up now. The food was hard, cold, dry and just shocking to be honest. Disregarding the food even the drinks were flat, but cold atleast 😂Even our children refused to eat. We spoke to staff to get shrugged shoulders and "I don't know's", no apology, no refund no nothing. AVOID unless you want to waste your money.

Had steak sandwich was tough as old boots last visit for me

This was our first visit and last. The atmosphere was dreadful for a holiday area. And the staff was miserable young lass never said thank you after a purchase and looked like they didn't want to be there. Even the lad singing tonight looked miserable dreadful place.

The food here is brilliant & really plentiful. They do serve ‘light bites’ but they are still very large. Don’t know about Sunday Lunch though. Was really looking forwards to trying it as we have heard great things. It’s advertised as being served ‘from 12’ This is in the menus & also on the boards outside. We went for a walk & turned up at 14.15 with a very hearty appetite to be informed that lunch finishes at 14.00! It doesn’t, unfortunately, state that anywhere. We weren’t the only ones that were disappointed on Sunday. There were at least another 3 family’s. We decided to wait until food started again at 16.00 & was well rewarded with braised steak n onions in a giant Yorkie pud with mash n peas. We are in our mid to late 60s so maybe our idea of large portions are not the same as everyone else’s but every meal we have had has been fantastic!

We had visited this restaurant many times in the last 3 years and looked forward to going again last Sunday 3rd September. Very disappointed to be told no chef therefore no food. We tried again on Tuesday and I telephoned prior to going again. I was told they serve until 7pm. When we arrived we were told the chef had closed the kitchen as they had run out of food. 1 word pathetic. I would advise them to get rid of the useless chef and appoint a proper one who knows how to run a proper kitchen.

Quite costly for a place which is not in a main tourist area. Prices for beer and food were comparable to central Skegness and Ingoldmells. It was extortionate for a place out of the way, dated decor and nothing particularly special going for it. If you drive further down the road into Chapel you can get better food and much cheaper alcohol from more aesthetically pleasing bars, which should be the case for something out of the way.

If you haven’t tried this gem of a place I seriously recommend you do the food is out of this world I can’t say the prices are so reasonable too cheap for what you get in my opinion and the staff are brilliant too wouldn’t go anywhere else in chapel at lenoards x

We absolutely love this place we come every year the staff are friendly warm and welcoming The food is absolutely out of this world all way hot plenty of your plate and the drinks go down a treat keep up the fantastic work that you do would recommend to anyone

Lovely place, good selection of drinks, food menu is really varied and both looks and smells really nice. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Says serves food at 12 but waited til 1 starving so had to leave and find somewhere else!

Watched a great act (pure pink tribute) but for some reason only accept cash at the bar ,no card payments ?

The home cooked chips are awesome, awesome quality burgers, vegetarian burgers my wife love the vegetables type instead of the soya, little legs thought the hot dog in crusty bread was the best ever, delicious bacon cooked perfect in the burgers, everything was delicious, fine ales, saw a great Pink tribute, have seen some great artists, Tom Weston with Elton John tribute was brilliant, they have always have good acts, lovely relaxed environment I highly recommend 😬👍

What an absolute gem! Looks nothing from the outside… please go in especially if you’re looking for somewhere to eat that’s dog friendly! Not a lot of places in chapel serve great food and love dogs! We had a madras and a jalfrezi curry which we’re yummy and some beautiful homemade chips! Omg they were the best we’ve had in years! Staff were lovely, looked after us and our pooch well, thank you!!!

Went into the pub expecting to have a nice meal was stood at the bar for at least 3 maybe 4 mins and bar staff completely ignored us and walked straight passed us and went to talk to a couple at other end of the bar with another bar staff member, pub was dead so no excuses , just pure rudeness, never had a good experience with this pub but we thought we would give it one last shot and was let down, never again.

March 19th 17:20 went to the bar to order drinks expecting food aswell, 4 bar staff behind bar, place was quiet nobody at bar, was totally ignored while standing at the bar for 3 minutes so left. Manager needs to check CCTV that this happened, pub lost out on about £80 -£90 food was recommended, sorry the staff was so poor.

Abslouty disgusted, pub completly empty went to the bar to order food and was completely ignored by at least 2 bar staff member ,asked to talk to management and they refused us, never again.

Quite easily the best homemade (or otherwise) steak n Stilton pie I've eaten. As a family there is normally one of us who doesn't like the food, 7 nearly empty plates went back and the only reason there was food left was because of the very ample portions. All the food was cooked fresh, well presented and tasted great.

Don't take cards, only cash! Told my family that 2 year old had to sit on seat and not move! Really??? Obviously not had a 2 year old child to look after! Apparently that is "the law " of covid restrictions. Joke of a place, waiting to be served took ages.

The food here is the best you'll get in all of Chapel St Leonards. The breakfasts are generous and hot and the Sunday lunches are a treat - especially with the attached bar for a cheeky drink with your food. Great parking, loads of room and staff who care. Doggy friendly, too. It's easy to be a returning customer.

Food was absolutely disgusting for me.ordered a chicken breast fillet burger and got a 2 for 99p chicken processed burger u can get from any supermarket or shop. My partner got a kings oak burger which was fantastic except for the cheapest beef burgers which were full of gristle.proper let down and put him off ....my family and I have been going here for the past 4 years but won't be returning for food again.

I visited this club house a few times on this visit, the food is good the staff are friendly and the beer is cold, social distancing is followed and clearly marked.

Very poor service. Let us sit there for 30 min reviewing the menu. Spoke about what gluten free food they could offer our daughter. Went to order the food and got told they are not serving food anymore. The manager or staff didnt even have the courtesy to tell us before hand. Very disappointed

Stood in a queue for over half an hour to order food. Only one person serving while 3 other staff come out to look at the queue. Finally got to be served to be told they are out of grill and pies but we have chicken. Absolute joke.
