Really unusual pub, with very high ceilings and pretty tiled floor. Very bright. Pretty large pub with seating inside and outside. Seemingly popular among locals. Friendly bar lady. Dog friendly place. Great place for a pint before a train. Good selection of ales

Great pub on the platform at Huddersfield station, a great range of beers and wines. Hours were inaccurate on Google i.e. last orders on a Sunday were 9pm

Sunday 1st September 2024 Today, I visited this brilliant real ale pub on Huddersfield train station This pub has a plethora of well-kept hand pumped ales on a beautiful mosaic floor. Great staff is good background music There are some rather upsetting issues THE TRAIN STATION IS CLOSED FOR 2 YEARS TO IMPROVE TRAIN SERVICES THROUGH THIS STUPIDITY THIS PUBS TRADE HAS BEEN DECIMATED, AND THE PUB IS HAVING TO CLOSE SOME WEEKENDS A MESSAGE TO THE POWERS THAT BE ,PLEASE GET THIS PUB A GREAT PACKAGE THAT WILL STOP IT SHUTTING AND GET YOUR FINGERS OUT AND GET THE WORK DONE SHAME ON UOU YOU ARE KILLING ONE OF HUDDERSFIELDS BEST REAL ALE PUBS.🤢😤😤

Every pint (all different) was bland.... not quite sure if it was the beer or the cellar.

One of the best pubs in Huddersfield, if not West Yorkshire. A great variety of beer, staff are helpful and the pub is dog friendly too. It was a miserable day outside and coming inside considerably improved my mood!

Had a great selection of beers, and had 0.0 Guinness which was great as I was driving. The sausage roll was a particular favourite with my daughter. A lovely atmosphere and the lady behind the bar was a credit to the establishment

Good beer selection in a much improved atmosphere. Could do with some sound deadening, but very nice warm fires in the winter - google has asked me to update things if things have changed. This is the King's Head.... It hasn't changed.

Fantastic selection of excellent well maintained real ales, in a restored Victorian building,it is a must visit for real ale fans.

Don’t get me wrong this is a nice real ale pub and I visit a lot. However they must get rid of the two elderly brussen arrogant discourteous female staff. They’re putting customers off.

Good beer, friendly staff, called in on a Sunday afternoon whilst band was playing, good atmosphere, will be back again.

Brilliant pub. 15 real ales on our visit,blondes, stouts, bitters, the lot. Very reasonable prices. All beer lovers should try it. Well, if you're in, or near Huddersfield.

A fantastic converted victorian railway station. Very imposing historic building with hugely high ceilings. Could do with a bit of a makeover as it looks quite tired.

Great pud looks of seating and a great selection of real ales, it's well situated right next to huddersfield train station. We'll worth a visit if your train is cancelled or you fancy a decent pint in town. They also regularly have bands playing so that's fun too :)

Brilliant selection of real ales, really friendly staff, excellent atmosphere.

Do remember this is a pub, part of a chain. Value for money, food has variety, and is tasty. It was very busy, (17.00hrs) service was fast, good for parties, with good atmosphere.

Great, well kept beers and friendly staff. I love it in there😁. It could be improved by the addition of curtains and soft furnishings to deaden the sound. It does get very noisy in there.

Nice old school open plan pub with loads of great ales on offer. Our first time in, will definitely come in again. Maybe check out one of the live bands they have play, or go for the weekly quiz.

Decent beer but a lot of wasted space for additional seating and decor is bit of an afterthought.

Strange experience here. Just witnessed the manager grabbing a client on the station platform for going out of supposedly the wrong door. Unbelievable behaviour by her and hopefully not to be repeated.
