Kings in Belfast

Ordered chicken Goujons with chips, battered sausage and curry sauce. Chips really lovely but the chicken goujons batter was really greasy and not crispy. The batter on the sausage was too thick and also really soft as if it had been left out for far too long. Good chips and good curry sauce though and also arrived 10minutes early.

Best fishy that you can get on this road. We keep going and my family from France always request it for their first meal when visiting. love it and my fav is the battered fish and cheesy chips!

Food arrived on time, it was still warm. Very pleasant driver. Fish was covered in a crispy batter. I ordered a small chip in curry & that was enough as the fish was huge. Would definitely order again.

actually shocking the state of the chicken goujon meal and charging near £10 for the skinniest driest bits of chicken i’ve ever seen! bartered sausage was soggy not one bit of crisp to it whatsoever. kings used to be such a reputable chippy - never again

Great value, Great food and quick delivery!

Good value. Chips were best chippy chips I’ve had in a long time. Slight criticism is other food was on the cooler side. Cooked through, very tasty and fresh. But do prefer food hotter. 100% would order again.

Fed up with this plaice, every time I order the order is correct. The chips are proper chippy chips and the succulent fish is clothed in brilliantly edible batter, every single time. The delivery people smile as if they enjoy spreading the happiness and so they should. 10/10 for proper fish supers.

Ordered from them at 7:30Pm and food did not arrive until 8:50Pm got to that point I had to call them as there was no sign of the food would definitely not order of them again was a disgrace in the end food was only coming from the Ormeau Road to the castlereagh road so would hate to see the delivery time if you live further. Food was cold and slushys weren’t slushys anymore just liquid!

Curry sauce appears to be changed to a fruity sauce. Not as nice as previous curry

Can't fault delivery time. Food itself tho, not great. Tomato and onion on both burgers despite requesting none. both chicken burgers were cold inside and cheese not even melted. curry chip had barely any curry. disappointed

Really disappointed. I used to drive across from East Belfast to get chips from this takeaway but not going to do that again. The fish was tasteless and soaked in oil - I think it was a refry and to make matters worse fried at too low a temperature, my first mouthful was as much oil as fish. I asked for a large portion of chips and you can see in the photo what I got. Again really disappointing, the chips tasted unpleasant I think they were passed their best before frying. One star because the food was hot at least and the woman who served me was friendly.

Got the fish meal deal and was really disappointed portion size was small hardly and chips and there was more batter than fish ! Curry sauce was awful tasted like perfume

The attitude of the staff is absolutely disgusting waiting an 1 hour 40mins on delivery contacted just eat to complain that the delivery was late but get a phone call from a staff member accusing me of getting a refund which I haven’t received and basically the staff member was calling me lair. Won’t be ordering from here every again!!! Think the staff need to learn manners when working with the public.

I've ordered from kings consistently over the last 5 years but recently their delivery times have become erratic and when there are issues they aren't fast to resolve them and when your order is late they aren't quick to let you know. I recently had an order slated for a 30-40 min window take well over 2 hours. When it arrived it was poor, the chips weren't fresh and tasted reheated, you could have shot them out of a gun they were that hard. The chicken was over cooked and it was an altogether poor experience. So I left my first negative review of the chippy. Given I'd been a very loyal customer for 5 year I decided to give them another try but now they accept my order and wait 30-40 mins and cancel it. It feels vindictive and petty. I'll not be back. On average 1 order a week over 5 years and that's how they treat regular customers.

Food came over an hour late, I did call and the staff were helpful and arrived within revised deliver time, two hours after order but the food wasn't good. The chips were stale, tacky and chewy and others were rock hard like bullets, not great for a chippy. Very disappointed.

Don't like leaving bad review but food was over 2 hours late and no response when tried to call so ordered from different restaurant, so by time the food came I had already had the other order so food was wasted and binned.

Everything ordered tonight was really fresh, really nicely cooked, and was still hot upon arrival. King's chippy is one of the best chippies in N.ireland when everything's cooked fresh. 9 times out of 10 everything's great. Well done King's, keep up the fresh cooked food 👏 👍.

Good standard of a chippy. Been about 3/4 times now and I can’t complain. Think the most of the low scoring reviews aren’t reflective of what its actually like. Portion sizes are good, chips were crispy, batter on fish was crispy. What else do you want.

I find that the food is good certain members of staff so rude especially on the phone I live in apartment block I'm disabled one certain member of staff tells me that I have to come to the main door because there's a female driver on

The bread was cold compared to the meat on the taco dog, very off-putting. Also, no mince on the taco dog (photos available). Phoned and explained - nothing was done. Bad service. Cheese chip was average but very small. burger also looked like a kids one.

Food was fantastic but it was near 50 minutes late and not even an apology for the delay. Just a child standing there holding out my food. I would eat from there again but not get a delivery.

chips could have been better, plenty of cheese on 1 chip, far to much chicken gravy on other dish, overall not bad but chips need to be better!

extortionate prices for small meals, just ordered a fish bites meal at £10.70 and it was no bigger than the kids meal that we ordered for half the price

Missing all Milkshakes and Drinks, Delivery driver told.me to ring the restaurant as he wasnt given any, Rang Restaurant to be told that the delivery driver is lying and was given all the drinks and it isn't their problem to contact Just eat for a Refund,, Food was cold

Have been ordering for the past few weeks and happy with the order majority of the time. Most recent order on Sunday the food was incredibly late, and the food came very Luke warm which wasn’t overly enjoyable. They also forgot to include the bottle of vinegar I paid for on the app. Hoping it is just a one off.

Food was good, deliver time was a little later than i would have liked, they forgot to add the BBQ dip.

Just received an awful order and experience from kings chippy. Despite the terrible food order we received, the main thing worth mentioning is the horrendous customer service from the rude, obnoxious woman on the phone. We called up to complain because we had ordered a number of chicken fillets that were cold upon arrival and obviously undercooked. The lady who we told this to on the phone was so awful, one of those people who hates the customers opinion and doesn't care to listen to anything. She argued that the chicken "couldn't be undercooked" despite all of us being unable to eat. If you want to be scared of your chicken, this is the place for you. We will be reporting them to the Environment Food Agency and I would advise anyone reading this to stay away. There are plenty of better options around with nice human beings who deserve your custom.

I can’t believe I was charged £7.20 for two portions of chips at Kings on the Ormeau Road Belfast. Complete daylight robbery for the amount of chips. Will not be back to this place.

Delivery was quick. Ordered a pepper chip but all I could taste was oil. I ordered a large hotdog & I got a burger bap with 2 sausages in it? The onion rings were tasteless & again just tasted like oil. Very disappointed in my order sadly

Said it had been delivered so obviously quite concerned that my food had been delivered to the wrong house I phone the restaurant. The woman on the phone was thee most ignorant person I've spoken to in a while. won't be back. I'm not supporting a business that can't be bothered with customer care.

Great place for a burger.. Kids have an ice cream and slush puppy machine.. Hotdogs and wrap our fish and chips. Location is in the busy street of Ormeau road

Didn’t deliver our drinks. False advertising on the ‘Bigfoot’ - the image shows chips alongside the hotdog when it doesn’t come with any and doesn’t say anything about not coming with any. Food was decent, but far from worth the price.

Portion sizes are definitely getting smaller, but prices are increasing. Food is nice but unfortunately the portion sizes do not match the value.
