Kings in Belfast

The attitude of the staff is absolutely disgusting waiting an 1 hour 40mins on delivery contacted just eat to complain that the delivery was late but get a phone call from a staff member accusing me of getting a refund which I haven’t received and basically the staff member was calling me lair. Won’t be ordering from here every again!!! Think the staff need to learn manners when working with the public.

I've ordered from kings consistently over the last 5 years but recently their delivery times have become erratic and when there are issues they aren't fast to resolve them and when your order is late they aren't quick to let you know. I recently had an order slated for a 30-40 min window take well over 2 hours. When it arrived it was poor, the chips weren't fresh and tasted reheated, you could have shot them out of a gun they were that hard. The chicken was over cooked and it was an altogether poor experience. So I left my first negative review of the chippy. Given I'd been a very loyal customer for 5 year I decided to give them another try but now they accept my order and wait 30-40 mins and cancel it. It feels vindictive and petty. I'll not be back. On average 1 order a week over 5 years and that's how they treat regular customers.

Food came over an hour late, I did call and the staff were helpful and arrived within revised deliver time, two hours after order but the food wasn't good. The chips were stale, tacky and chewy and others were rock hard like bullets, not great for a chippy. Very disappointed.

Don't like leaving bad review but food was over 2 hours late and no response when tried to call so ordered from different restaurant, so by time the food came I had already had the other order so food was wasted and binned.

Everything ordered tonight was really fresh, really nicely cooked, and was still hot upon arrival. King's chippy is one of the best chippies in N.ireland when everything's cooked fresh. 9 times out of 10 everything's great. Well done King's, keep up the fresh cooked food 👏 👍.

Good standard of a chippy. Been about 3/4 times now and I can’t complain. Think the most of the low scoring reviews aren’t reflective of what its actually like. Portion sizes are good, chips were crispy, batter on fish was crispy. What else do you want.

I find that the food is good certain members of staff so rude especially on the phone I live in apartment block I'm disabled one certain member of staff tells me that I have to come to the main door because there's a female driver on

Best chicken in belfast great chips bin eatin here for years and the food is always taste every thing ive tried and the shop and kichen is always kept very clean great service thank you very much will defo be back again

The bread was cold compared to the meat on the taco dog, very off-putting. Also, no mince on the taco dog (photos available). Phoned and explained - nothing was done. Bad service. Cheese chip was average but very small. burger also looked like a kids one.

Food was fantastic but it was near 50 minutes late and not even an apology for the delay. Just a child standing there holding out my food. I would eat from there again but not get a delivery.

chips could have been better, plenty of cheese on 1 chip, far to much chicken gravy on other dish, overall not bad but chips need to be better!

extortionate prices for small meals, just ordered a fish bites meal at £10.70 and it was no bigger than the kids meal that we ordered for half the price

Missing all Milkshakes and Drinks, Delivery driver told.me to ring the restaurant as he wasnt given any, Rang Restaurant to be told that the delivery driver is lying and was given all the drinks and it isn't their problem to contact Just eat for a Refund,, Food was cold

Have been ordering for the past few weeks and happy with the order majority of the time. Most recent order on Sunday the food was incredibly late, and the food came very Luke warm which wasn’t overly enjoyable. They also forgot to include the bottle of vinegar I paid for on the app. Hoping it is just a one off.

Food was good, deliver time was a little later than i would have liked, they forgot to add the BBQ dip.

Just received an awful order and experience from kings chippy. Despite the terrible food order we received, the main thing worth mentioning is the horrendous customer service from the rude, obnoxious woman on the phone. We called up to complain because we had ordered a number of chicken fillets that were cold upon arrival and obviously undercooked. The lady who we told this to on the phone was so awful, one of those people who hates the customers opinion and doesn't care to listen to anything. She argued that the chicken "couldn't be undercooked" despite all of us being unable to eat. If you want to be scared of your chicken, this is the place for you. We will be reporting them to the Environment Food Agency and I would advise anyone reading this to stay away. There are plenty of better options around with nice human beings who deserve your custom.

I can’t believe I was charged £7.20 for two portions of chips at Kings on the Ormeau Road Belfast. Complete daylight robbery for the amount of chips. Will not be back to this place.

Delivery was quick. Ordered a pepper chip but all I could taste was oil. I ordered a large hotdog & I got a burger bap with 2 sausages in it? The onion rings were tasteless & again just tasted like oil. Very disappointed in my order sadly

Said it had been delivered so obviously quite concerned that my food had been delivered to the wrong house I phone the restaurant. The woman on the phone was thee most ignorant person I've spoken to in a while. won't be back. I'm not supporting a business that can't be bothered with customer care.

Great place for a burger.. Kids have an ice cream and slush puppy machine.. Hotdogs and wrap our fish and chips. Location is in the busy street of Ormeau road

Didn’t deliver our drinks. False advertising on the ‘Bigfoot’ - the image shows chips alongside the hotdog when it doesn’t come with any and doesn’t say anything about not coming with any. Food was decent, but far from worth the price.

Portion sizes are definitely getting smaller, but prices are increasing. Food is nice but unfortunately the portion sizes do not match the value.

We ordered from this chippy every Friday night for family get together, £50+ every week, last week waiting time was atrocious as they kept saying waiting for drivers, this week it took 1 & a half hours to deliver for less than 3 miles away, food had been sitting waiting for a driver so everything was soggy & cold, wasn’t nice at all, you think being a regular customer same time every week they would have the drivers needed to keep up with orders, definitely last time we order

No drink came with the meal. Curry portion was extremely small. Fish good quality but no value for money in meal.

The food came thirty minutes early and was cold. We ordered what was advertised as a (large) hotdog but instead was two sausages cut in half in a burger bap. Very disappointing. The veggie burger was just ok

Have to download a stinking app to pay by card - wha?! And it's more expensive in the app - WHA?! Nobody should need your address/phone number to order a single chip. Portion size of said chip was a joke. I must say the chips were good, but the whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Won't be back.

Sorry to say, but the gougons were inedible. Just soggy, oily and had soaked into the chips making them just as bad. Dunno how they've got 4.2 in reviews like.

I'm so disappointed. kings used to be my favourite chippy. The chicken was dry and burnt. the chips tasted like they where really old chips reheaded. won't b ordering again.

Read a few reviews complaining about small portion sizes, thought I’d give this place a go anyway. Honestly the portion sizes are pathetic wouldn’t even fill a toddler, we ordered fish supper, fish bites meal and onion rings and this is not enough for 2 people. I have never finished a chippy hungry until now, very disappointed. Food itself is ok. I’m still in shock at the tiny portions I’ve been to a lot of chippies around Belfast and this one is definitely the worst regarding value for money.

Delivery time pushed back twice, got parts of the order wrong, gravy was bland. Not great.

Chicken goujons were over cooked and dried out. Curry sauce was tasteless and full of lumps. The portion sizes are ridiculous. They large chip at £4 looks like a kids chips. Wouldn't waste ur money.

Haven’t ordered from here in months cause I was put off by portion sizes. Again tonight portions are tiny. Curry is watery and the fish is soggy and white. No crisp or real flavour. Just bland. Done with this place now

Food arrived pretty quickly, chips under cooked, bap overly moist and batter under cooked. no chips with kids meal, was told on phone drivers wouldnt be back to shop for over 40 mins. 1st and last time refund requested!

I ordered a filled soda, chicken wrap and pastie which were delicious however my main reason for ordering from Kings chippy was to get a fruity curry chip AND IT CAME WITH ORDINARY/CHINESE CURRY! So I’m disappointed and opening a tin of soup.

Best chippy we have had in a long time. Downfall was I asked for salt and vinegar in the comments but didn't get any, easy to do at home, 100% recommend.

Food good but portions small. Extortionate price of dip at £1.50 (very small size), charge for lettuce on a burger meal at 70p and 10p for a can…surely these should be included in the meal deal. Most meal deals give you an option of what you want on your burger, chips, dip and drink included in meal deal price. Sometimes a small additional price for cheese…but there’s no way there should be a charge for lettuce…pathetic really.

Food "left the restaurant" at 17.36 arrived at my house at 18.18. I live 8 minutes from the restaurant in heavy traffic. Not 47. Food is cold. Sort it out. Stop drivers taking double or triple orders. Ridiculous

90% off the order was lovely, milkshake was amazing. But the fresh battered fish was so wet and oily, at touch it just turned to a pile of mush. It was not eaten

I love the food from this place. They always get the order right and deliver it on time. The only complaint I have is the size of their dips. £1.50 for the tiniest pot in the world!

The chips were dripping in grease, the mayo sauce tasted off and was plastered everywhere, the burger was an embarrassment to burgers! the dog didn’t even eat it! absolutely disgraceful! stay well away.

Life savers - when I'm feeling down, I know where to go for my pickmeup. Price? My local 7-11 charges £5 for fresh goujons, raw. Kings' are £4.50, with salt vinegar dip... Lunch Special adds a full chip and a drink for £6.

I accidently ordered collect instead of delivery and I had no way of picking order up, I rang and a lovely woman was able to understand MY mistake and even went out of her way to keep food warm and deliver at a later time. Amazing customer service 100%

Taco chip sauce is rotten prob one of the worse. The sauce is cheap and sour and very small portions you’d think it’s a 5 star hotel the prices they charge for portions
