Excellent service from Callum and Jo with great knowledge of the menu to help with my dietary needs. Good variety also for all needs/preferences. Kitchen staff Rob and Peds helped me also and delivered my food to me personally as they knew I was shy about having dietary requirements and put me at ease. They took the time to ask and care. Felt like family. Food was excellent and cooked perfectly. Top tier Sunday roast with generous portions. Quick and caring service. I will be coming back again soon.

Awful service, always quick to kick us out at 9pm on a Monday night because its empty. You can sense it as soon as we walk in theyre dreading having to serve us, it's not our fault your restaurant is dead midweek. But closing early and refusing service is pathetic to be quite honest. Don't advertise being open until 11pm if you aren't going to stay open until 11pm.

Tasty food and drink, great atmosphere, smart rooms and friendly and welcoming staff

The scallop tasted bitter. We told the manager about that but he just said they served this dish to plenty of customers but no complaint was heard. Then he went away. We tried to finish it but it was really can’t be swallowed so we need to throw it out from mouth. So sad! It is my dad’s birthday and Christmas Eve.

We had Sunday roast, veggie option was very average, lacking flavour. The whole meal was too plain, veggie wellington was undercooked. Wouldn’t recommend it. Nice mulled wine though.

Rubbish, food absolutely shocking. No beef burgers 😂 so cod a chips and cod grey mush. Spoon full of pees and you can count the amount of chips on your hand. Very poor, the restaurant is not in a good place.

Lovely lunch with a group of friends today! Fantastic roast dinner, asked for extra gravy though which is meant to be bottomless which never came. Great veggie option and the cheese sauce was epic with the cauliflower.

Went for dinner with 3 of my friends yesterday. We met at 8, we ordered starters and main courses. Our starters came out and then our waiter asked if we were ready for our mains and then it was about a 40 min wait before they came out. We queried it and he said that 2 out of 4 meals were ready. Which didn't really make any sense and there was no good will gesture or offer of a free dessert which most places would offer. Not really even an apology. I ordered the panzanella salad with goats cheese and it was revolting. They'd put loads of lemon juice on it including the goats cheese. It was inedible. They did offer me a different main course but it was gone 9.30 by this point and I think the pub closes at 10 so he said he'd just take it off the bill- My friends ordered desserts and we ordered hot drinks too. The waiter was very obliging but the bill still came to £150 and we weren't drinking alcohol. We all felt the food was inferior to previous visits and that the menu options weren't all that nice this time Wouldn't rush back which is a shame as we've been many times before and had a better experience .

Arrived, seated and then had to go and ask where my food was after waiting 45-60mins. The manager who had no idea tried saying it was because my waitress was on her break? How is that my problem? You or someone else can't bring me my food no.......!!!!!! Also food finally arrived and was warm / cold and completely and utterly crap. Worst money spent and zero apologies. Although the waitress was nice / pleasant and helpful but wasted working at this place. Seriously has gone down hill this gaff.

Very poor service. We ordered from the set lunch menu. Chicken was dry and tasteless. No one attended the table throughout to ask if the food was ok or to offer drinks or clear the table throughout. Manager took 50% off, however never attended the table to discuss our complaint.

Staff were great and attentive. The pub was clean and nice! Definitely coming again.

Went for lunch with the family. Charcuterie board was very disappointing, but the halloumi fries made up for it. Mains were very good including the duck salad which was the star. Served by Alen who was very attentive and polite. Shame about the flies as we were sat in the Pergola area and they didn't leave us alone once the food arrived.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, good choice of menu (including the specials) food was well presented and of good quality .....bad point for me ... the service was slow, after ordering, waited a good 20 mins or so for the drinks to arrive and our desserts had not been ordered (although we had ordered everything from the start)....again that said friendly service, good atmosphere, and good food 👍

Went here specifically to meet some friends and it was nice enough, a bit poncey really but then again it is in Chigwell Essex. And almost £15 for a larger and a G&T so if your planning on being here any about of time take LOADS OF MONEY. I wouldn't bother racing back there.

Just had a beautiful meal at this pub, would recommend! Food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. We were served by Zachery who went above and beyond to give us a great dining experience. Super friendly and welcoming. We will return :)

Poor service. Food was not the best. Breaded fish and chips, was small but bloody expensive. Didn't taste like the price. Service was very poor. Won't go there again.

Generic pub and Essex crowd. Ended up here on a Sunday afternoon with friends who wanted something to eat. The starter and main was okay minus and the dessert even less appealing.

Good food and they catered for my request on sauces, but you shouldn't have to wait over twenty minutes for the bill, especially having to ask a second time.

Had lunch 22 may only 2 tables to serve but kept waiting decided to have rotisserie chicken .on my way home my stomach was felling bad Had constant diarea for 14 days after going to a.n.e. i was taken to hospital my poo samples came back to my docter I was told I had campylobacter (food poisoning) I tried to speak to head office to stop anyone else going through what I did but they was not helpfull. I would not eat at this place if you paid me to.
