Love the fish and chips, and also the kebab they serve. Lovely staff, always have a smile and have a chat with you.

The service was fast and friendly, good portion sizes and value. The batter was a bit too thick and stodgy for my taste.

Didn't get what we ordered (mushy peas) because they were too busy acting up to the cameras that were there filming them. They even didn't ask if it was OK to film customers especially when there was a child involved. Will not be going there anymore!!! Customer service rating -3

Recently moved down to Elsecar and tried most of the chippies around here! To me this is the best of the bunch - give em a try you won't be disappointed 👍

Brilliant Fish and Chips. Called in at 7.30pm on a Monday night and got perfectly cooked Fish and Chips in a cardboard food box for £7.70. Top quality product at a fair price, it's unfortunate for me that I live in Sheffield and this isn't my local chippy.

This is a fish and chip shop that I've been using since around 1970, and the current owner serves the best food and the menu has most choice there's been in all that time. The prices are competitive and the owner and staff are second to none, you simply can't get better food than here.

Just had fish, chips , peas and gravy. The fish was freshly cooked. Everything was delicious. Best one round here

Was told about this fish and chip shop by friends so called in yesterday wasn’t disappointed very nice and decent portions was worth the drive from Sheffield and will definitely be back 👍.

This place is always busy which tells you enough. Great service and food every time, at a very reasonable price, they're not shy with portions either. I wish they'd buy more shops so a wider audience can enjoy it.

Good food, excellent fish and generous portions. Tasty kebabs dressed to your liking with salads and sauces. Usually very busy which is always a good sign.

Really not as good as usual. Come from chapeltown because usually so good. Both fish and chips tasted old and not the same good quality. So sad and disappointed.

Nothing special. Service is fast but not friendly. Prices are about average. Food is usually ok but occasionally the chips are tasteless and fish sizes and quality vary. My parents got chicken kebabs but put them in bin.

Been going here for a good few years now. Best fish n chips in the area, and very pleasant, polite staff, which makes a nice change nowadays. Also spotlessly clean. Recommended.

Great chippy selling lovely food . My only gripe is that they are waaaay behind the times as they don't do a delivery service . A lot of the times when you go down the queue is big and with cars parked all over the place . a delivery service would both cut the chaos outside the shop and without a doubt increase their revenue as like most people do we often fancy a king fish bar supper but just can't be bothered to get ready to go get one so more often than not we order from somewhere different and get it delivered . + they'd get new custom from people who don't drive etc . Cracking chippy though . 👍

Mum had been to the doctors so thought we'd have fish and chips. Mum said the fish was the best she'd tasted. I also enjoyed mine. I must also say, the shop was spotlessly clean

Had a lovely tea from King Street Fisheries, 2 large fish and chips with curry sauce. Enjoyed every bit of it and always go here as it is the best. Friendly staff and we get served quickly even when the shop is busy, as it always is. Thank you

I Have been using this fish shop for years and it has to be said this is the cleanest fish shop i have been in ,..I have to say Terra takes so much pride in her shop and her salads and kebabs are to die for...I recently had a dinner party for a few friends and as i work full time just wanted something quick so i asked Terra if she would do all the food and deliver,not only did she do that she sorted everything so it was easy to put onto plates she wrote on everything so we wernt getting things mixed up,one of my friends was so impressed she calls every Friday and she lives at the other side of Barnsley....You only have to go past and see how busy this shop is but with plenty of staff your not queing long...I can highly recommend this little Gem....Thanks to Terra and all her staff for always looking after me.xxxxx

You get great food here from a well run family business. The kebabs are to die for.

18 pound tonight!! 5 pound portion of kebab meat a joke! Uncooked & not even half a tray full. Asked for large chips, would have done for 1, peas tasteless, really gone downhill King fish bar!! Won't be recommending.
