Super slow service even when quiet. You get scrappy chips normally too. Shame they're the only chip shop near me.

Staying at travellodge from north Wales . Well worth the walk had fish and chips and the owner was very chatty well done 👏

Usually always good (the best chips locally) but the doner was rubber strips. Please don’t send out old food; it’s a false economy.

Sorry no atmosphere at all how they call it a fish and chip restaurant is beyond me. It’s a tiny shop with one plastic table and 2 plastic chairs in the shop. If it ever gets busy the customers will be around you queuing whilst you eat. The fish was very oily, chips tasted like they were warmed up and comes in a cardboard box (they don’t have plates )with a plywood fork, they don’t supply knives so you eat with 2 forks. My first and definitely my last visit.

I stopped here after a long stressful train journey due to strikes but left smiling. Service was great! Such kind and helpful service and the food was delicious :) Thank u! Nia

Good food from a genuine and very kind owner. I had a portion of chips and fish fingers and they were both wonderfully made. Clean oil and proper tasting food: either fish and chips were super nice. Please have a try because you won’t be disappointed.

Hands down the best fish and chips in town! The cod is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the chips? They're addictively good. Always my go-to for a satisfying meal.

It's a fish and chips shop. The fish is good and chips are bigger portions than expected.

Mushy peas were watery and tasted acidic. The chips were lukewarm and tasteless.

Everything arrived as I asked in the note, all delicious, warm and filling. Great place to eat.

It is so sad when a chip shop on a prominent spot in Watford chooses not to provide the locals with the basics. UTTER SHAMBLES!

Trying to get into clingfilm-encased dip pots is like trying to break into Fort Knox. Battered sausage was a little cold, everything else was A-OK. :-)

Chips were too small and cold. We ordered medium chips. Also, the batter on the nuggets was a little too hard on the reworked gums of an edentulous person, although I enjoyed them nonetheless. Soften the batter! Also, loving the chicken burger with extra chilli! Keep that up!

Should be open at 12 never is on a Friday!

The mwal was great, aside from one problem -- I ordered two fishcakes, both of which showed up on the order; I was charged for both fishcakes, yet only ONE fishcake was in the delivery. If this can be rectified by a refund or a fishcake, that would be lovely. Thanks in advance. :)

The fish was very white and fresh , the batter could have been a bit crispier as it stuck to the paper when removed from the box ,. The chips were ok .

I asked for my usual medium chips and what came was a hand full of chips and the fish on top which was all mushy. Usual this establishment is good but on this occasion it was not good enough.

You missed out a fishcake; I ordered two. It's okay, though. The lone fishcake was lovely.

Usually can’t fault the food quality here, but today the chips were so dry with barely any salt and vinegar. Don’t want to finish them. Very disappointing, considering the cod is nice as usual.

Poor. Ordered fish, chips, sausage and popcorn chicken. Only the fish arrived. Sent it back with the driver and now no one is answering the phone. Disgusting!!!!

Absolutely disgusting. Ordered food. One item delivered. Sent away with driver, asking for remainder of order. Called restaurant FIVE TIMES and the phone keeps ringing off the hook. Complete rip-off!!! Disgusting way to run a business.

The ketchup lids weren't properly attached to the bases, so I had to spend a bit of time cleaning up. Also, no salt and vinegar were present in one of the box of chips.

Good fast plight service kebabs of amazing standard lovely portion size

Food was freezing cold as the salad was wrapped with the kebabs, completely ignoring my request to wrap salad separately. Salad either ends up warm or kebab ends up cold depending on the weather. It’s not even a difficult request.

You missed out the battered sausage that I ordered. I don't know why you're flubbing orders these days, but you should step up your game if you want us to keep paying you. :)

Worst food ever. Cold chips and VERY dry doner meat like rubber.

Staff have no manners. On the 22nd April at approx 1800 hours I walked in this place for a takeaway, said good evening, got no response. Then asked for a doner kebab and the meat to be well done as what was on the grill looked anaemic. I got told it came as standard and like it or lump it.

1 item never turned up and I rang about it they put the phone down on me

So, it takes me an extra ten minutes to locate because it’s not Ocean World, it’s King Cod, so they are trading wrong on just eat. I was waiting for my COLLECTION order for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. There was another gentlemen waiting. He was trying to cater for 2 delivery drivers first. He came out the side door, shrugged me out of the way and went next door to buy some soft drinks for the drivers to deliver. Again, no acknowledgement. Filmed and action will be taken. Felt uncomfortable and had to leave without food. Just Eat will not refund me because it was a collection. Legal action will be taken. I can’t comment on the food quality but I did capture a very white looking donner skewer that wasn’t turned on hence the fat was exposed.

Driver was on the phone shouting the whole time and annoyed my neighbours. Never again.

A portion of our order was substituted (I asked for onion rings and got spring rolls), but I did enjoy the battered cheese sticks.

Tomato sauce (1x) and the second pack of onion rings was not included in order. Sad face. Do better next time? :)

Cold Food, Ordered both with cucumber & only one came with cucumbers.

What you would expect. From a back street chippy. Had a sign to ask about allergies, but knew nothing about any.

Food was amazing. Only problem was, we wanted onion vinegar instead of normal, tried to call the shop 10 times, no answer.

Simply awful... went here at midday asked for chips and got told it would be 30 mins... I was the only one in the shop. The kebabs in the background look grim. Avoid.

Got my order chilps are reheated and fish broken up in container. Looks like two bits of fish chucjed together. Will not be ordering ever again from Ocean World.

Took double the estimated time to deliver on an average Wed night. No salad on the kebab or salt on the chips. Underwhelming

I don’t like to leave a negative review however , from order to delivery took 1hr 25 mins. The food was stone cold and the quality of food was poor. This is the first time I ordered from this place and I will not order again. I’m really disappointed with the service delivery and quality of the food.

We got a large fish and chips and they weren’t that great. The fish was large, but a bit oily and chips were very salty. We checked the prices before we went in, and they were much more expensive than what was stated on the website. I must say that we probably won’t be coming back.

Food came a little later than expected but for a Friday night it's understandable Everything was hot and the chips were great. Got a mixed kebab and the portion was very generous however meat was a bit dry. Would properly stick with just a chicken donner next time and be liberal with mayo. Overall 7.5/10

Very poor food. If you order a doner ask for it off the spit and you will know it's fresher. The meat in the pots has been sitting there hours.

Ordered a LARGE kebab and this is what I received. Absolute joke, they're cowboys just ripping people off, roughly 200g of doner meat for £10 Used to be a regular customer but have vowed to never order again. The Viking from now on 👍

I dont like to give negative feedback however these were the worst kebabs we have ever eaten, and we eat a lot! The doner meat was rock hard and stone cold. The chicken shish's were over cooked and dry and one was missing the requested chilli sauce whilst the other had barely any salad. This was a total waste of money. Tried calling the shop but no answer. Will never give this place my custom / money ever again.

Donner meat hard, dry and cold and drowned in sauce seemed to be to try and hide it - one half of wrap was hard/ seemed stale.

Watched them microwave the doner meat after pulling it out of a pot on the counter.... texture was hard and a bit chewy. Staff seemed to be confused how to use the till. Used to be better, wont be back

Do not go here. I won’t be anymore! Sadly my review would have been very different before but tonight I treated myself to dinner after a long day at work with my little boy. I had pie and chips and my son had 2 saveloys. I went to eat my pie. It didn’t look right then I opened it and put some in my mouth and it had an odd sickly sour taste. Then I smelt it omg it had turned! How can this be acceptable to serve to customers? I could have been made very sick by this! Unfortunately a refund for the pie and a sorry isn’t really good enough they have lost a customer. The excuse of hot weather isn’t good enough either it’s been much cooler and even so how long was it sat there? Now I’m worried incase we become sick because we ate the rest of what we had. My son said saveloys were ok but one was rock hard. That pie had sat there hours and had probably not been stored right. I’ve bought pie and chips in all weathers from many chip shops never have I to date been sold a spoiled pie. Not everyone will be as bold as me to return their food or to complain. When it’s food and carries the risk of food poisoning it’s very serious! So sad we have had the odd thing from them since my son was a baby and had good and bad from time to time but never anything so bad not to come back and never been served spoiled food until this evening. The pie was in date but it had gone. There’s no excuse for that the food was clearly not stored right prior to cooking and clearly left sitting for far too long. Yes hot weather could impact it spoiling but that pie was definitely spoiled before it was cooked. Such a shame I looked forward to pie and chips.

Ridiculously expensive. £9 for a piece of cod when previously it was £5.50. Never going here again. There’s cheaper and better fish and chips elsewhere locally. This isn’t Hampstead or Kensington, this is watford. Fish n chips shouldn’t be this expensive. £13 in total. No chance. This place have lost a customer and no doubt more will go else where when they see their extortionate prices

Fish/chips were pretty soggy by the time it arrived. However, had a nice taste to it. Will pick it up ourselves next time :)

Terrible can’t even get chips right on a weekend rock hard and inedible none of the food is fresh just dishing up old food that’s sitting around and needs clearing never going back there much better places in Bushey and Watford used to be good this place but gone down hill now

Very very disappointed, the chips were cold like cardboard , we’re like a couple of days old and lacked the salt and vinegar which I had requested, these were inedible and ended up in the bin. Only one burger was edible, the other had a tonne of onions in it : the request was for tomato and red cabbage but when it arrived it was red cabbage and onion . Will not be ordering from here again anytime soon !

The Haddock was off it smelt bad and tasted awful, the sausage in Batter were dry and hard and the onion rings were frozen and tasteless, we were expecting nice food after reading good reviews

Would not go back. Stopped off on route home to grab a large chips, food was stone cold. Note I live 2-3mins away in the car so wasn't the journey that made them cold. Large chips would normally feed multiple adults this portion would feed a couple of kids. Will be going back to the cod father in future

Good fish and chips at a great price. I had a tasty cod and chips. The cod was fresh, huge and crispy. The chips were ok too. Both the cod an chips were a little oily. I saw grime in the kitchen and the store had a funny smell. The cook who served my food used his bare hands to serve my food which made me uneasy because he had long unkept nails.

chips were undercooked, food was very expensive just for two people, wlll not be ordering from this chip shop again.
