🫵🏻 Cheese wasn’t Cheese, stringy, forgot slush puppy, wouldn’t answer so tried a different number, when it came too thick to suck, no taste, straws was useless, smells. Kids meal was cold and not enough to feed a cat. Activity book was repetitive and looked for a baby or girl. Lollypop looked half sucked. Butter in potato was white probably Babybell. 🫵🏻 Wasn’t worth the paper it was written on, not fit to feed the homeless 🧔🏽‍♀️🧔🏿‍♀️

Based on other reviews I think we were very unlucky, Batter on the fish was not cooked properly and had to be scraped off, chips did not taste right. Could not eat my meal most went in the bin.

Not trust worthy at the till. They overcharge you ir you do not recon. Ordered mini fish and chips for £5.10 but charged me £6.20. When I asked why £1.10 extra charge? You had ketchup and mayo "on it" ( not seperate) so tried to justify the overcharge. Nowhere in the uk charge for ketchup on the chips. Be aware!

Ordered a donna kebab but received a grease kebab, grease poured all over the packaging as well, it is absolutely disgusting they serve food like this. When are you guys going to learn! I'm not going back here and soon others will follow if you don't change your ways.

Advertise buy one get one free on Pizza’s but won’t tell you if you order just one, was disappointed when another customer came in and ordered 1 and then asked for the free one.

Order arrived on time, but the food was terrible… I think they gave us warmed up chips from the afternoon! Chewy .. some hard! Not very nice at all .

Normally order from here been a while, one item was missing as didn't have it, gave me an item that was wrong and the food was too salty. think will find somewhere else for the future.

Sadly the main part of the 1 meal , an all steak pie, was supplied as a steak & kidney pie, so 1 main meal was chips & beans, so it was disappointing. However, I do have a very happy dog who did like the pie

Asked for 2 large fish and got 1 plus 2 mini fish which were poor quality and had bones in. The large fish was very dry. Chips were undercooked.

Small portion of chips is absolutely tiny, no value for money. Wasn’t like this before, complete waste of money. Will be going elsewhere from now on.

just moved into the area. first time trying on reccomendation from a friend. all i can say is the food was well tasty

Ordered the ' sausage special' with curry sauce. Got home to find that I had NO SAUCE !! this is the 2nd time this has happened. No more chances - I will never use this shop again. 2 years on, no regrets. Worst chip shop for miles. I travel the extra distance to the Island House chippy on the A41 at Newbridge Crescent, best chips for miles around.

Just ordered large fish and chips was worst fish and chips I have ever had.. chips were nasty aswell should have been alot fresher than they was as not long opened.. and to woman soaked it with vinegar and all was mushy when got home. If I could give it minus stars I would. Not happy..

Food was great but they delivered a medium size bag when I paid for a large and also was battered then the request for Normal, so I think it was a order mix up but other then that I’d recommend them!

This is probably the 4th time ordering from king cod. The food has always been great quality and I have tried most items on menu as I'm ordering for 6-8 different people at a time and have had no complaints. The delivery is always on-time and delivery driver has always been well mannered and friendly. Overall a good Chippy worth a try as prices are probably fairest in the local area.

Generally the quality of the food was not good. The food was not very warm and the chips didn't appear to have been freshly cooked. Not up to the standard we have had before.

4 of us ordered food, we chose King Cod as its listed as a local hero. I had mini fish and chips - very greasy fish which made the batter soggy and anaemic looking chips. My partner had cheese burger and chips, he loved his burger but agreed with me that the chips weren't good. Child 1 enjoyed the chicken tikka wrap, child 2 had chicken curry and rice, it looked like a bad microwave meal. He had one bite and binned it.

As for the 1st time ordering from this place u would have thought they would like to impress but the food was terrible.kebab was all try and hard like it’s been left in the pot for hours the chicken was rock solid and burnt.they forgot to put on my mint and mayo on the kebab as I left a message asking for it.chips was ok tho.

Food is always hot and fresh! Staff are friendly, food is Reasonably priced (Fed 4 of us for less than £20 with leftovers) and Portion sizes are huge!

Ordered food for family for tea , when it eventually arrived the whole order was cold apart from a curry sauce , There was also a whole meal missing , the rest of the food was cold and tasted like lunchtimes unsold items we spent over £30 of our hard earned money and ended up making sandwiches and binning the chipshop order it was so bad .Will never order from here again and certainly don't recommend it !!!

The chips seem undercooked and the large portion was not large at all. They only take cash because they are probably avoiding tax and probably money laundering too. They need reporting to HMRC.

If you like burnt kebab meat this is the chip shop to come to!!. I’ll watch a staff member cut a load of tandoori meat that doesn’t look burnt. So I asked for some fresh cut off the plain meat but get told to wait 10 more minutes, I guess this is so I can have burnt meat. No point in explaining to them as most the staff struggle to understand English. Will not be going there again!

All the food was 5 star except the veggie burger which was not good, it was hand made patty, very thin and salty (very poor veg burger)

I asked for ASAP and they gave me a time but were ahead of that time which to me was perfect the food was hot and fresh

We’ve always had good food from King Cod but the mini fish jn tonight’s order was nothing short of disgusting. There was literally two teaspoon sized pieces of fish and the rest was just batter. Not what you expect to get and definitely not at the price it cost. Very disappointed!!
