Kims Chinese in Birmingham

We just newly moved to Birmingham and we been waiting for ages to come across a decent takeaway normally me and my partner would drive over an hour to go to takeaway near there’s but now we no longer need to this was the best takeaway had in year’s service was fast as well gentlemen was so polite to and I absolutely loved it and so did my partner we definitely becoming back

Ordered large spring rolls and king prawn chow mein, looked at reviews and was impressed with what I read so thought I would give kims a try and was impressed very enjoyable, will definitely be returning.

Not many places provide a good vegetarian menu or decent tofu. Kim's tofu is really tasty. Very flexible and helpful when ordering, not a problem swapping ingredients. Thank you 😊

Food was ready very quickly - not a long wait at all.

. lovely food. think i might like it a little to much. tried salt and pepper prawns for firat time this week absolutely delicious. everyone that i introduce kims to say it's one of the best Chinese they have every had and the staff are so welcoming especially the young ones that serve sometimes.

Best Chinese around local area's, have tried a few over the years but always come back to Kim's as it the best in taste, always hot and fresh plus great value.

Won't be ordering from this place again. Over priced and chicken curry was disgusting to much black pepper in it, it was way to spicy, plus chicken and spare ribs wasn't tender. Spare ribs had a horrible smell to them like they were off. Food went in the bin.

Very rude cashier. Food was not good.

Mediocre, poor customer service, rushed on the phone, not accommodating to basic requests and 50% of the time either overcooked meat or wrong items. Won’t order from here again, and recommend you don’t either

We have been using Kims for almost 20 years, I have to say This is a brilliant little Chinese takeaway, the food is tasty & fresh, the portions are generous too. When they are busy you know it is because of their quality food. Best Chinese in Yardley wood, Shirley even Solihull..

1st time of trying these guys , Ordered Kim's special In Cantonese fruity sauce, chicken chom mein and curry sauce and was all so hot, tasty food 😋 Also came with sesame chicken on toast which was nice aswell. Would definitely recommend and have again. Only round the corner aswell.

Truly awful was bad all weekend

So very very hungry and disappointed tonight. Ordered at 7pm at 9.20 called to be told food still at takeout and sorry as so busy. If you are that busy you shouldn't accept orders. I love your food and service but tonight I feel very let down

Amazing fresh food our favourite take away

Our local Chinese, really tasty food.

Ordered my meal at 6-55 they said it would be 1 hour 10 minutes ,, it’s now 8-35 and we are still waiting ... last night I waited for nearly 2 hours ... last time I order from these ,,, more information , just phoned to see where our meal was after 1-45 minutes waiting to be told they are just cooking it !!! Will be another 30 minutes before delivery ,,,, cancelled the meal ..Thank for your phone call to apologise for last night..

This is the closest Chinese takeaway to me, and for some reason I haven't used it before. And my what a shock it was. The portion sizes are larger. With 'Kims' using a larger portion curry compared to the rice. You can also upsize these portions. The price is cheaper compared to the local compaction. And the quality and taste is the best in the area. And when you ask them to make it spicy. There is a noticeable difference. This is now my go to takeaway.

I use kims because I love satay dishes and thsre the best I've found in the B14 area

Always good food, full of flavour & hot, never had a bad meal from here. Friendly & efficient service, regardless of how busy they are. Very good prices & generous portion sizes, makes excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Always fast delivery , I highly recommend this place to everyone reasonable price and they do special orders for picky eaters like my other half. They have a good variety of food to choose from

Updated review 01/02/20. Still as good as ever good portions fair prices and always tasty have never had a bad meal from here in the 5 years I have lived in the area.

Five star service and quality of there food

Ordered a lot of food yesterday evening for my daughter's birthday party. The food was hot and every dish without exception tasted delicious ,Will definitely be using again.

Disgusting service. Ordered over the phone for delivery tonight. Guy on the phone rushed through my order, couldnt wait to get off the phone. Order came, not complete. No curry sauce and king prawn instead of chicken. Called straight back up only for the man to try and put the blame on me for ordering wrong. I never would have ordered prawn as i have an allergy to prawns!!! Will not be ordering from here again!

We have been using New Kims for years now and wouldn't use any other Chinese takeaway. The king prawn Singapore chow mein is to die for and you get a very large carton of it for just £5. 10p. 🤗

They'll deliver local whatever the price and their food is good. Staff could be a little more accommodating but overall, ideal local Chinese.

Good local take away. I have been going here for years and it's always been good. Better priced than others in the area and more convenient as it just up the road. It's got delivery as well it you don't fancy picking it up. You also get a free gift (prawn crackers or chicken wings) if you spend £12 or more

So handy just over the road so its convienient when you cant be botherd to cook. The food has always been yummy, good portion sizes, the only thing is its never spicy enough! I always have the thai beef or sashwan (never can spell that) and i always wish they'd make it spicyer as the dishes should be! I love spicy foods! So thats why i marked a star off as its not as spicy as it should be. It would have been 4 stars but ive been here about 4 times now and been served by the young guy who clearly has no people skills can't even get a smile off him!! 😠 I found him abrupt and rude serving me. Even when the phone rang he huffed and puffed. I understand its very busy there but at least have some manners! The lady was very friendly on the desk who had served me once before, maybe he could learn from.her!!!! ☺ Over all its lovely food, dont have to wait long and scrummy just dont be afraid to add the spice in! 😆
