popped in here on a weekend away and was blown away. Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Batter was crispy, chips were fluffy in the middle. Thats all you need to know. Highly recommended

First few times after getting fish 🐟 from here all I could taste was pepper (can not stand it) and seen black bits in the batter, left it a year and tried again as only chip shop in Killeagh. Must admit the fish are tasty now and nice crispy batter, nice chips too not greasy. Maybe just a few off days before, will be back.

A decent place that never really lets us down. I would be hard pushed if honest to include Killyleagh Catch among the best fish & chip places of the world, or N.Ireland at large for that matter, but its not at all bad either. I've never had a bad experience and the general quality is the upper end of average and never below so you know what you're getting. Always happy to pop in and like I say never disappointed, so all in all if you're about Killyleagh and fancy a bite without having to wait too long in a queue (always fast service) then the Killyleagh Catch should well suffice!

Freshly cooked to order. Great portion size - we phoned whilst still on the road (about 10 minutes away) and it was ready to collect when we arrives

Well where do I start? Walked in to chip shop - immediately struck by the lack of decor one must say. Placed my order which felt extremely rushed and the person who served me lacked the customer service plug in their extension lead if you catch one's drift. Darted out with my food as it was packed and to be quite honest in hope that one of the obvious locals didn't rob me. To get straight to the point the chips were cooked perfectly but the batter on the fish was slightly rubbery! Yet my husband 'bummed & blowed' about his sausages and chips... All he did the car ride home was bum & blow to me about it!! Good prices & great food but as for the Fish... Not enough bang for your buck!! Bev x

Well I don't have a problem with this place. A cosy and petite shop with some friendly workers in a ok village. The food however! The chips were not too shabby as I enjoyed every bite and polished of the lot! However I've never been so disappointed in the fish. Being a local fish and chip shop I had high expectations. The pastry on the fish was tough and solid almost like it was reheated 4 times before being served to me. The bit in between the pastry and the fish was like eating thick glue. The place is inexpensive and I see why. Not too shabby if one must say but nothing to bum and blow about. Julie B.

If you like seafood you’ll have to look far and wide to find better. Outstanding quality. I had crab claws to start and lobster tagliatelle for main. The starter was one of the best I’ve had - and I’m not as young as I was - simply terrific. My partner has bass. All round would highly recommend. Very different vibe from the Belfast Mourne but every bit as good.

I had the gluten free fish and chips last April and had to bring my family back when they came to visit. Every dish was delicious again- I had the fish, my mother had a smash burger, and my dad had the silver side beef. All three were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and interesting. Great service as well. A favorite in Newcastle. 💛
