Dreadful experience, starters were all cheap frozen stuff with thin dipping sauces, Pad Thai was tasteless, made with broken noodles and clearly microwaved. They only do ONE curry (green) and ONE noodle (pad Thai) very strange for a Thai restaurant. Bar staff is rude and clearly part of a different company. This place is aiming at the low student market looking for cheap meals and not bothered about quality.

Pros: authentic and interesting Thai dishes. Cons: closes at 9.15 on Sat night, in an open space very brightly lit pub (ie bare bones, no romantic ambiance). Plus, portions are small. You’ll pay £3 for a mini bowl of steamed rice and around £16 for a main that’s smaller than a Prêt salad bowl. The pad Thai was sadly lacking in both flavour & fire. Peanuts were sprinkled on top, but it tasted like plain, sweet noodles. A generous amount of chicken, though some of it was a bit tough. The ceviche style shrimp salad looked beautiful, and the heat and flavourings (coriander, garlic, lime) were perfect. Again, a lot of jumbo prawns but overall a sparse amount of veg & quite a small portion. All in all, probably won’t be back. Was hoping to love this place, due to the glowing reviews. Almost £45 for all the food in the pictures.

Amazing and authentic Thai restaurant inside a traditional English pub called ‘the Salutation’ - if you have difficulties finding the restaurant, looking up for the Salutation Pub. Their dishes are of generous portions for good prices, given how outrageous London’s living expenses are. We ordered steamed whole sea bass, marinated raw shrimps, stirred-fried morning glories, and two bowls of rice. All of them are delicious (given London’s standards and context). The service is professional, polite, and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and calm. You can choose to sit in the courtyard (outside) or inside. I have dined here many times and I see Thai people visiting here frequently, which is usually a good sign that the restaurant is authentic and they cook delicious dishes for patrons.

When arriving at this restaurant, they told us to go on their QR code as their paper menu only had limited choice available. Not everyone has wifi and we were one of those. They said their wifi wasn't great so could not really provide it! WHAT? First thing to improve - you either provide free wifi or just print a few proper paper menu! Second suggestion - proactively think of a solution if you really want people to spend money to try your food. I ended up asking them to borrow their phone so that I could see what was on offer. Another recommendation - not everyone know Thai food well. It would be great to provide recommendation verbally or write it down somewhere on the restaurant! We ordered a beef meat dish and it was tough to eat. Wasn't impress with their portion size either. I'm not sure why this is a highly rated restaurant and would never go back.

Excellent Thai food - we tried the laab, pad kee mao, green curry, grilled chicken and dumplings. Everything was delicious. It was packed on a Wednesday night in November so do book ahead.

Simply: Best, authentic Thai in Hammersmith area? Having grown up in TH, with family there, expect dishes hard to find in UK, done as you'd find in TH and excellent service. Visit every time i am in London, at least x5 in last 3 months. Never a miss.

I remember when I wouldn’t go anywhere near the Salutation due to the clientele. Well, they have certainly turned things around Thai food in a bar? Been there, hated it Thai food at Salutation? Best. Thai. Ever. Reasonable prices, extraordinary tasting food, wonderful service. had the Gyoza Dumplings, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Phenomenal! Who would have thought such great Thai food from a Pub? I have eaten at the other Thai spots in Hammersmith and other places in London, this place outshines them all!!!!! I will definitely come back again and again

The most authentic Thai you could ever finds in the UK. Both taste and presentation are on point, we even got a takeaway at the same time too. Couldn’t be more Thai than this, the taste of home that I could eat everyday without getting bored. Many restaurants altered the menu to suit foreigners but this place does it exactly just how we Thai people eats. Highly recommend.

What a place, such a good combination between a british pub and Thai food. “Ka prao minced pork extra spicy and fried egg” was a proper one, so authentic. It brought my memory when I was in Bangkok. I and my colleagues didn’t expect much about the food beforehand bth but then we gave it ago and my mind was blown by the food. Moreover, Deep fried whole seafood and the secret sauce was outstanding, this is a must you guys have to try and worth every penny. Staff and service are great too. Definitely I will visit back

Having heard of this Thai cuisine within the pub from a friend of mine so I paid a visit. The pub itself “The Salutaions” is spacious and the overall atmosphere was nice, warm , friendly also plenty so social distancing these days and I was greeted by the manager /owner of the cuisine Khun Pakin and his partner. The food in general was delicious especially Fried Sea Bass in Thai fish sauce : highly recommend as well as Pad Thai of course also you can request certain special Thai dish in advance by calling the restaurant and if they would be able to provide you , they definitely would.

They just sent the wrong dish and when we phoned up to ask for the correct dish to be sent they've asked us to pay up front for it - so we have to pay to wait another 30mins while everything else goes cold. And they want the wrong dish back! They can have it!

Popped in for lunch today, and thought it was delightful. The ingredients were all so fresh and I loved all the fresh herbs. My daughter and I both had a monkfish dish, while my son had a beef pho noodle thing - all of which were delicious and very reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and efficient too.

We have eaten here before, and we really liked the food. However, the last couple of times we have come in, we have been informed that they only take cash. This seems to be a permanent fixture so can’t be bothered will not be returning which is a shame, restaurant is as cold as ever! We left disappointed and went across the road to the Italian restaurant, which was really excellent and paid by debit card.
