Buena relación calidad-precio. Comida sorprendentemente buena. Tuvimos principalmente vegetariana y funcionamos bien. La berenjena era encantadora. El personal atento y la comida llegó a su debido tiempo. Teníamos una mesa trasera tan no ruidosa que nos sentó perfectamente

This is seriously the best Indian restaurant in London for food. I'm Indian myself and really fussy about the taste. We were asked to come out last minute for our friends birthday and they wanted my opinion on the food. Wow!!! The tasty dishes we ordered were lamb balti Rogan, chicken sag and butter chicken. All delicious. The customer service was also five star. The manager Jomshed treated us so well and went out of his way for us as did all the waiters. We cannot wait to come back! Lucky we work in Notting Hill because we live in Cambridge and there's no food like this in our area unfortunately.

I just want to give an old favourite a thumbs-up here. My husband and I went to Khas last week as we have done so often before, and yet again we were treated as royalty from the moment we arrived till the complimentary drinks that came with the end of the meal. We have been dining regularly at this fantastic Indian restaurant for two decades now and during all those years we have not had a single bad dish here. We have tried many other Indian restaurants all over London but Khas remains the best.

Visited the restaurant this evening with my family. From the time we entered, the service was nothing short of fantastic, as we were very well taken off by the waiters. All had a friendly smile , polite demeanour and catered to all our needs / requests. Food was brought out in good time and all our dishes were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed vegetarian briyani, tandoori prawns, chicken tikka vindaloo, okra and naan bread as well as popadoms. The flavours were very authentic and very generous portions. This is definitely a gem of a restaurant in the Kensal Rise area and “a must” to visit and try out their amazing food and the brilliant service. We will always be returning here for our Indian food from now onwards when in the area as well as spreading the word to family and friendly as it’s really hard to find a good restaurant like this, so when you do , you want other diners to enjoy the experience as much as we did. Thank you to all the lovely waiters this evening.

To whom it may concern, the dictionary defines superlative as: of the highest kind, quality, or order, surpassing all else, or others. Supreme. I define it as Khas Tandoor. As quality service, as tasteful, as friendly, and as a lively atmosphere, they are of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme

I've been coming here for years – maybe 30 – and what keeps me and my friends coming back is the great food, the friendly welcome and just the way you can just relax and enjoy yourself. I've probably had the lamb madras more than any other dish. It's a lovely dish – the meat is tender, the sauce is rich (hot, but not mind-blowingly) and the perfect accompaniment to a cold beer. Last night I had the vegetarian thali, just to change things around a bit. Also highly recommended. So is the tandoori chicken, another fave. Great staff – attentive but not hovering, up for a laugh and a chat, friendly but professional. Well worth a visit.

Visited The Khas on 18 June with 5 other friends. The place was nearly full on a Tuesday night. Perfect welcome from the staff. I ordered the traditional chicken tikka masala with pilau rice and naan bread. My other friends ordered Balti chicken jalfraizi, Balti chicken tikka bhuna, king prawn karahi, chicken chilli masala and we ordered a selection of vegetables with rice and naan bread. The saag panneer was awesome. The service was quick and pleasant. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will most certainly come back for family meals and birthday parties.

I visited this restaurant last week with my family as we felt like grabbing a cheeky Indian in our local hometown, and so we took a look at the reviews before we went and thought we’d give it a try. The food was exquisite which was surprising to us as the restaurant has a bit of a retro look to it, however, after we tried it, I was absolutely blown away. Customer service was absolutely spot on, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Main courses and starters were mouthwatering, I truly haven’t tasted anything authentic like this in a really long time. The manager also gave my family complimentary drinks on the house; this is what you call a five star* service and I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Me and my husband visited khas tandoori last Friday. I must say i love the way they still have their authentic traditional look, how an Indian restaurant should look like. The service of the waiters absolutely spot on and it was best in class. You must try chicken jalfrazy and their lamb biryani mouth watering and full of flavour. They’re prices are reasonable for their dishes and alcohol. Talking of alcohol the owner of the restaurant gave us free alcoholic drinks after our meal which was unexpected. We thought it was maybe because its our first time, however i spotted other customer getting complementary drinks as well. Hopefully me and David should be going back next Friday as we enjoyed the experience. Excellent!

I've been coming here since I was about four years old (that's 24 years), and I've never had a bad experience. As a child, I came here with my family about once per month and the owners and waiters really got to know us, so much so that, when I returned with my partner after a six year absence, they still remembered me. The food is always excellent, the restaurant is usually fairly quiet, the prices are very decent, and the waiters demonstrate the perfect balance of friendly and professional. The layout and decor do not seem to have changed at all in 24 years, but it doesn't really matter if you ask me. It's a clean and nice-looking restaurant, and I value good food and service far more than fancy aesthetics anyway.By far my favourite Indian restaurant.

Stopped by here with my family as I was passing. As the previous reviews were mostly positive I thought I would give it a go. Good points- friendly staff, reasonably priced, plates hotBad points- food was awful- the Bombay aloo tasted as if it was cooked in vinegar. It tasted sour, the onion bhaji was greasy and bland. We all had different chicken dishes but you would never know as they all tasted the same. They didn't have much flavour. Some of it wasn't hot.The nan bread was not very good.We had cokes that were flat and warm. Although they did change them.Overall the experience was a poor one and with so many Indian resturants around it is not somewhere I would ever return too. Having lived in Kensal Rise my entire life I decided to try this restaurant for the first time in over 20 years. The exterior and interior is fairly dated and uncomfortable. We ordered drinks to start with which were all brought out a couple at a time and not on a tray. We ordered starters which arrived in good time. The paneer tikka was very nice and the best of the others which was onion bhajis and veg samosas which were a little greasy. The portions on their starters are small and this could be told by the prices as they are low. The presentation was very amateur. Mains also arrived in good time and we were given very hot plates. Having asked for the food to be spicy and 'Indian' hot, it was disappointing to have received quite mild and bland curries. We'd requested an item 'off menu' which was paneer makhani and was advised this would be OK. However it is not what we got. Instead it was paneer in a tomato gravy which heavily tasted as though it had a Heinz tomato soup base. The service overall was not bad but the food could be a whole lot better!

We ordered a take away from Khas this week. We've been trying out the different curry places on kensal rise for the past couple of months, and we all agreed (4 of us were eating) that this is the poorest yet. Vegetable sides were very very oily and the brinjal bhaji had no flavour except for the flavour of oil. In fact most of what we ordered just did not taste up to scratch. Half hearted greeting on arrival in between staff talking amongst themselves and to friends on another table, who were only other people in restaurant. Had to flag waiter down for a drink and for our order. Chicken tikka starter was bland and flavourless so needed lashings of additional sauces in an attempt to liven it up, which they didn't. Our mains arrived but shortly after what happened next I cannot even remember what we ordered. I spotted something furry dashing across the floor as we were about to tuck in. We realised was a mouse so grab the manager and tell him in the hope he'd take some action. He shrugged, mumbled something and then walked off. After the second time we saw it running in dining area we grabbed another member of staff who then cheekily retorted that there aren't any and that we the customers were (of course) wrong. When it then ran under our table we got up and told them we're off and we did not want our meal. Cue discussion on what we should be paying for, with staff unbelievably trying to charge us for half our bill and to persuade us to take the rest home. We settled it by only paying for drinks and refusing to pay for the rest. Shockingly the restaurant can make no correlation between mouse plus droppings in restaurant and disease. Mice are running about out front so we dread to see what the kitchen I like. The situation was so badly managed by staff who made no real attempt to apologise, still tried to bill us and hoped that muttering something about pest control it would all be okay. Well they may be getting a visit from Council inspectors soon. For reasons of hygiene AVOID like the, ahem, plague.

Both myself and my mrs had mutton dishes (rogan josh and balti) and our friends had chicken (butter and tikka masala). All extremely tender and tasty. Sides of rice, nans and chana masala were also nice but the Bombay aloo wasn't as good. Starters of onion bhajis were nice as well as the mixed tandoor starter but the paneer starter was only ok. Plenty of wine and beer was also consumed and we found it all very reasonably priced considering the area and quality of the food. The offer of a shot of gas at the end was a nice touch as well.

Actually, I've tried all three local Indian restaurants (which are 1 min walk from each other) but the Khas stands out because of the amazing quality of food and warm welcome from the manager, James. I have eaten at this restaurant for many years and cannot fault it.The kitchen has a real traditional tandoor oven which is probably why the food is always tasty.Carling export lager is on draught while Kingfisher and Cobra is bottled, a selection of wines plus spirit with mixers available too.Reshmi kebab as a starter is delicious and for the health conscious try the chicken shashlik (skewered chicken, green bell pepper, onions and tomatoes with side salad included). Not a place to go after a boozy night out with the lads, this is a friendly restaurant suitable for couples, family/friends and solo eaters and although sometimes busy and loud the atmosphere is always pleasant.I have tried many other Asian restaurants lately but the Khas beats them all, every time.Just in case you are wondering if I maybe getting a free curry? No, the restauranteurs do not know who has written this review :-)

Great staff, Great prices, Great atmosphere but most of all GREAT food. The reshmi kebab (a sheek kebab wrapped in an omelette) is by far the best starter in the world. All the mains are wonderfully spiced, served piping hot. They also have a Tandoor oven, so the Tikka meat is cooked authentically.

Now that Indian food is the number 1 cuisine in the UK there are many more discerning Indian restaurants popping up everywhere and this certainly isn't one of them however, the waiters were decent the service OK and the food tasty. So if you want a nice quick reasonably priced no frills curry try it.

So we returned and had some easy regular dishes lamb madras, king prawn biryani, chicken tandoori mosala, rice, keema paratha, poppadoms and very tasty pickles and we are going back again. It's a good job we like coconut though their coconut supplier must be very wealthy!

I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. The standard of excellence in their dishes and service is remarkable. My family, in-laws and friends also have been introduced to this gem of a restaurant over the years and everyone says the same thing; it is one of the best Indian Tandoori's around. The management and staff are also warm and friendly and nothing is every too much trouble, any variations of dishes they will always try and accommodate. They have update the decor and menus this year and the place and food has simply been bettered …. they have a great selection of starters… the meat or chicken stuffed peppers are amazing! Also the quality of their meat and the amount you get in the main dishes are incredible. So for taste, ambience, value for money and great great service I urge you to go experience one of the most exceptional restaurants in Kensal Rise.

Having been raised on rice and curry by my Sri Lankan mum, I am usually hard to please when it comes to Asian food. However, the food at The Khas exceeded my expectations on my two recent visits. The complimentary poppadoms and accompaniments were an excellent starter. The standard was maintained with the mains. We particularly enjoyed the Peshwari naans, (filled with a sweetish coconut and almond meal mixture). We three adults ordered just one meat dish and three vegetarian dishes, yet we had leftovers, all for £32, (including a large bottle of Cobra beer). The service was attentive and the kitchen efficient. We are looking forward to dining here again on our next visit to London.

Quite surprised by the previous reviews on here. I have been coming to the Khas for the last 3 years and have always enjoyed my meals here. Service not always the speediest but in my opinion it is well cooked food and very good value. Yes, the decor and the toilets could be improved but it is always full. I am not sure that I am so impressed that it is apparently David Cameron's favourite Indian restaurant but I'm glad he shares my high opinion of the restaurant.

I was so loooking forward to a takeaway curry after studying all day. They do offer a delivery service and turned up the right time - it goes downhill from here on...Opened the dish to find out it had peppers in which I am alergic to. Other dishes on the menu stipulated they had peppers so I assumed (mayeb wrong to do this) that this dish did not. I tried a couple of pieces of chicken and cold - not warm - cold as were all the other dishes, rice and a vegetable dish. My friend had to season her food and this is the first time I have ever known anyone to season a take away Indian. The naan bread - thick - really cold - look like it had been burnt slightly one side and not cooked on the other. I would question if this had been re-heated.Would I ever consider going back no...

Found a large chunk of meat in the Vegetable Biriani. Disgusting. Argued about the refund. Dirty kitchen which i saw through the door, rude staff.

I only eat Chicken Tikka Masala from The Khas......it's absolutely delicious. I hate the sweet versions of it in all other places, these guys make it lovely and tomatoey and rich. Service is great too....such lovely fellas. And it's great value for money. My fave Indian restaurant around!

This is probably the best value Indian restaurant in the area, and the food is excellent, especially the house specials list. Service is very fast and the home delivery service is nothing short of lightning! Definitely give them a try. We're regulars.

The food was excellent! My husband got vegetable samosas and chicken tikka for starter and lamb biryani for main. He said everything was sublime! My vegan dishes instead were tarka daal for starter (best I’ve ever had) and a peanut/coconut aubergine curry (which was out of this world!!!) with a delicious side of green beans fried with spices and coconut shavings. Service very attentive and polite as well as knowledgeable in terms of ingredients, making sure everything I ordered was vegan. A polite suggestion for the kitchen staff to be a bit quicker, as they took just over 1.5 hours to prepare 3 starters and 2 mains for the two of us (and there was only another table with guests in the restaurant, as we went early, as soon as they opened at 6pm. I don’t want to imagine how many hours it would have taken if the restaurant was busy. But a great experience all in all and we will definitely return!

Great hearty Gujarati Food. The quality and the quantity is amazing. Staff are all welcoming and if you ever need any help deciding, they are more than happy to help you. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember, not as often as would like to recently, but I can openly say the food is genuinely amazing.
