Khan's on Smithdown in Liverpool

We had been staying in Liverpool and ordered through deliveroo this weekend! My partner had been waiting outside the apartment for 45 mins and I had been keeping my phone on and had the correct contact details! After calling the man politely to find out where the food was he shouted at me and said they had turned up when they hadn’t and that I need to update contact details when I had the same contact details and no calls! It was a complete scam! He then called us a c*** and said they won’t be giving us any food and wouldn’t get our money back just because we politely asked where the food was? It looks like they have done this a lot! Completely ruined our evening and was so rude! Worse customer service I have experienced! Please do not order from here!

Recomendaría Khans on Smithdown a cualquiera que conozca. Comida deliciosa y servicio profesional, ¿qué más se puede pedir de una comida para llevar que ofrece precios competitivos? Si pudiera, ordenaría 7 de los 7 días a la semana. Gracias por todas las comidas que he disfrutado.

Ordenado a través de ubereats, comida de calidad pésima: los bhaji de cebolla no tenían sabor y estaban húmedos y empapados a la llegada, el 'pan naan' era muy delgado y más parecido a una envoltura, los poppadoms sabían muy viejos. El entrante de pollo tikka estaba bien, pero el tamaño de la porción era muy pequeña, lamentablemente no recomendaría esta comida para llevar.

Two mistakes with order (missing sauce and extra naan). Mango chutney, red onions and poppadoms were horrible. Curry was edible but tastes very like microwave curry.

I received a phone call at 23.51 to ask for my house number, I told him, he said what’s your flat number... I don’t live in a flat... ok is it a hotel?...No, I live in a house... ok I’ll be 1 minute... So I went downstairs to wait. I was sitting on the stairs until 00.06 when I rang back to see where he was. He asked again, what number, what flat number. I’m frustrated at this point and he just said thank you and put the phone down. I went back upstairs not knowing if the food was coming or not. 15-20 mins later the food did arrive but the both curry and rice were cold. The rice was tasteless. The chicken in both curries tasted like tuna? Can’t really describe the taste but they were so dry and tasted funny. Both naans were tasteless and we were really unhappy with the whole experience. Definitely won’t be back

The food arrived over an hour late, the restaurant labelled the food as delivered when it hadn’t even been dispatched, staff in the restaurant were rude when we called to ask where the food was, it then arrived cold and we had to microwave everything. The curry wasn’t nice, the chips were soggy, and the naan bread was dry and burnt. Will not order again.

Food tastes like it was out of a tin the garlic bread was not naan. It was rubbish

Will never order from here again. Said it would be delivered by 8.30pm delivery did not come till 9.55pm, Ordered tandoori chicken main and got chicken pieces. Chapati was rock hard. Food was cold. When I phoned to ask how long it would be, they told me I would not be disappointed with the food. Well I was it was terrible, wouldn't recommend.

We ordered from Khans tonight despite him being really busy he was so polite and we appreciated all his help. we had quite a awkward order and he was so understanding. He was very chatty thank-you we will return.

Our food took two hours to come and wasn’t even what we ordered however still tasted like warm up . When phoning to see where our food was the man who answered was extremely rude and shouted down the phone .

Good, quick takeout! Very friendly staff, I like the pizza and it’s great for a quick kebab or sandwich

Awful food though. Poppadoms all broken, no mango chutney in delivery, curries were really salty and the chicken nuggets were like cardboard. The pizza was slightly better as my daughter ate most of it, but we won't be ordering again.

50 mins late! I still tipped the driver a fiver as I felt tight because it was raining only to open someone else’s order! My order came to around £22 (numerous things) yet I was sent a curry and a piece of gateaux (non of which I had ordered and went straight in the bin) probs totalling £6. Contacted the shop - conveniently they were engaged for the next hour so I’ve give up and went to bed! I’ll be looking to get a refund?

Phoned up twice, for my order to be told he is on his way be with me in 5 minutes. Turns up 15 mins later with someone elses order! Phoned up again to be told the driver has left his phone at the the takeaway. I was ment to be get food at 1.35 it's now 2.30am and I'm still waiting on a phone call back aswell as my food I ordered and paid on line..... Phoned the take away a few times it looks like he has took the phone off the hook. Going restaurant tomorrow...fuming not paying £13 for curry n chips

Great food just over an hour and a half late got the notification at 7:30 that its on its way and now 9:15 that we're eating. Rang up 3 times over the course of this time and kept being told the driver had left and the shop had been busy thats why it's late. Next time just be honest and say the shops busy rather than the driver had left.

the food came - no rice - paid for a large chips was barely a small plate of chips paid 22 quid and got 2 watery curries and no rice and enough chips to feed 1 person at a stretch

Absolutely disgusting! Ordered £30 worth of food and it came watery and full of grease! Ordered popadom & mango chutney! It was like water! Tried to call restaurant! He needs to learn customer skills, so rude and disrespectful! Never again. No money back and refused to send someone to collect the food.

Ordered the food, was told 5.10 it arrived at 6.20. Food was cold. Masala was very watery, chutney tasted chemically. Called up when it was 5.20, was told it would be here within 15 mins. Called back at 6 and the person on the phone was very rude and abrupt. He said the order wouldn't have said 5.10. I have proof of this. Basically wouldn't let me explain anything I said to him. Started shouting at me, telling me I know nothing. Not the experience I need when I just wanted to see where my food was. Charged 2.50 for delivery even tho it's stated it's free.

The food arrived late was cold and tasted disgusting, inedible, had a Chemical aftertaste 🤢we felt so let down and frustrated we didn’t touch the food it stunk we were so hungry.....

Food was good, the Naan bread was more like a chapati, Vindaloo not that spicy. Delivery was at least 30 minutes late.

Ordered ceylon which is described as very very hot, weren't hot, pretty flavourless and runny, mushroom pilau was tasteless with mushrooms just thrown on top and the keema naan was more of a plain naan. Also paid for a 2l pepsi, got a 1.5l

Confirmation received said food would arrive at 1.20am (40 minute wait). Food actually arrived after 2am after we had given up and gone to bed. Naan bread was rock hard.

Food was shocking to be honest. Chutney was tasteless and poppadoms were just weird and tough. Both curries were bland and really watery/ runny. One only had two pieces of chicken. Also got the wrong cans (asked for Pepsi Max and got Coke), and was one poppadom and chutney short. Lastly, the nan was just like a wrap and again did not taste fresh. Tried the place for the first time and unfortunately, it’ll be the last time too. I can see why it was on its way 10 mins after ordering and with us within less than half an hour of ordering.would rather it took longer and be worth the wait.

Chicken in the curry was dry, small empty spring rolls, the naan bread wasnt naan bread and was very dry. Large chips is regular size. Probably wouldn't order again

Ordered 2 curries, they were OK but very basic. Poppadoms were like shop bought ones.

Not good. Ordered a curry and rice the plate was swimming in water after it was fished out. The naan bread is like a thick pizza base . No salad on veggi burger even the popadom dips were not nice

Lamb kebab only filled to about 1/4 with lamb. Basically just a piece of bread for £7. When we rang to complain, we were told that’s was because we didn’t ask for salad, and was then told to F off !

Last time I ordered from here it was delicious and I left a 5* review. Ordered later on this time after finishing work at midnight (and because my favourite place on Lawrence road had closed). The curry box was half full, very watery and really did not taste good. My friends said the pizza was alright but not the best. And they forgot to deliver my soft drink. Probably won’t order from here again now, but to be fair last time I ordered the food was good so this may just be an anomaly.

Esperamos nuestra comida afuera, vinimos 10 minutos antes del tiempo estimado de entrega. Estuvimos allí durante 40 minutos y luego llamamos al lugar, preguntando dónde estaba nuestra comida porque no se había entregado, pero nos gritaron y juramos que el servicio al cliente era terrible, nos quedamos colgados de que ni siquiera nos dieron una Responde a donde estaba nuestra orden. Tuvimos mucho cuidado al poner nuestros detalles e incluso si hubiera un problema, deberían habernos llamado. Así que nos engañaron, no iremos de nuevo.

I've ordered many times from here over the last 6 years. Not once has there been an issue. Food always tasty and fresh and they employ the best drivers. Great operation and great food!

Delivered early, still cold. Food was actually disgusting ended up throwing the lot out. The poppadoms smelt like they was fried in the same oil as fish, the mango and chutney was like water. I see alot of good reviews on here about this place, but I also see alot of bad ones with ALOT in common, I will never ever go here again. Even if it was the last take away on earth. On a side note, the Delivery Driver was really good and fast.

Very polite restaurant service. Korma gorgeous and chicken so tender! Rice was so fluffy perfectly cooked. Peshwari bread best I’ve ever had in my life! Will definitely order again. Thanks KHAN!

I've frequently ordered from Khan's and they are always reliable, quick and on time. I especially like their Chicken Korma and Biryani meals.

Ordered at 5:30, food didn’t arrive until 7:30.. missing one portion of fries. Peshwari naan was not sweet at all and very hard like it was stale, had to bin and reheat some left over from a different Indian restaurant we had ordered from the night before. Would not order from here again.

Food was drastically over priced. Paid £28 and it was freezing, tasted horrible and hardly any of it! I will be requesting a full refund through just eat. The takeaway hung up when I called to complain!

Garlic pizza and briyani was good would like more spices tho but ok the only think i didnt like as much was the kebab it was quite hard and bit cold like it was reheated put service and delivery good thanks

Weirdest Rogan Josh I've ever had in my life. No peppers or tomatoes (as described on the menu), a couple of tiny slivers of onion in a watery thin light sauce - might have been Maykway. There was plenty of chunks of chicken and it was very late at night but all the same!

arrived on time food was hot but disappointed as the dansnak I ordered tasted more like korma and I hate korma onion where greasy and mushroom pilau just was burnt brown rice I had ordered Diet Pepsi but they sent Diet Coke which I also hate

we spent £28 on food and ordered at 2015 with an expected delivery time of 21.20. The food arrived at 21.45 after I had to ring the restaurant 3 times. When it arrived the food was cold I told the driver he said there was nothing he could do and apologised. I offered the driver the food back and requested a refund he refused and drove off. I rang the restaurant and politely asked for a refund the man said the roads were icy and when I suggested that was not the case I had been out earlier he asked why I couldn’t be bothered to pick my own food up. he then said my address was to far. I suggested if they could not guarantee that they could deliver hot food then they should not offer delivery to my area. I requested a refund the man told me I was lying and this was not the case. I was shocked with the way I was spoken to. the food was very oily however this was because it had settled and the pilau rice looked like fried rice. Although the pizza was cold it tasted quite nice. My advice unless within 1 mile do not order.

the kebab was disgusting - threw it away after one bite. the burger tasted horrible but was at least edible (despite them putting cheese on it when asked not to). and the chips were also inedible and was thrown away. won’t be coming back and advise anyone else to find somewhere else

heavy, I might just be bevvied. but this late scran for us all was boss, definitely get again!

possibly one of the most disappointing currys I have ever had, everything upto and including the rice was just terrible. after it turned up 25 minutes late I spent about 2-3 minutes picking at it before it went on the floor for my dogs.

First of all the delivery courier was 20ish mins late, he left without apologising when I asked what took him so long twice.He simply respond OK/ See ya bye while chewing his fries.His attitude obviously has issue. Secondly, i ordered kebab but it is without dressing and it didn’t ask when I ordered on app.The spring roll is soggy,the spicy chicken wings r not spicy at all even kinda blend.The salad absolutely hasn’t got spinned it’s a bit watery. Overall I’m disappointed and unsatisfied for this order.

the kebab was far too small for the £8.99 i paid. 4 pieces of lamb i got in the kebab. it was not a naan bread it was served on. i ordered a 2 litre bottle of diet coke for £2.20 and got 1.5 litres. wont be ordering again
