KFC Scunthorpe - Lakeside Retail Park in North Lincolnshire

Went in at around 2.30. There was about 4 people sat eating but the restaurant was an absolute disgrace. The floors were covered in rubbish, bins overflowing we couldn't even bin our rubbish. Tables and chairs were dirty and covered in leftover rubbish and food. The two girls behind the counter were too busy talking and their attitude was appalling. Only one who seemed to be doing his job properly was the young man preparing the food. Toilets were disgusting and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. I'd advise management to do a surprise visit and see how poorly their staff is treating their paying customers. Won't be visiting the scunthorpe branch again.

Chicken really fresh,not greasy, golden and crispy, lovely meal with chips and corn ,we eat inside much better,🥰👍

I went to KFC Lakeside today for a takeout Trilogy meal. Not knowing what to expect; I was really impressed by every aspect of this visit. I was served by Molly, who was really polite and helpful - clearly explaining all of the options avilable. The food itself arrived really quickly and was piping hot. I will definitely be ordering from this outlet again. Thanks to all of the staff for making it such a hassle free experience!

We went yesterday with our children and saw food at the entrance and none of the table tops or bottoms were cleaned; we got tissue from the restroom to clean out the chairs; our order was for dining in but there was no tray for dining even though there was no customer at that time. The quality of the food was not that appreciated, it was cold, and we had to tear the cover instead of the tray. Neither tissue nor sauces are available. A very disappointing experience

Got a really bad case of the runs after eating there. Scruffy described it

Went last night at around 7pm place was an absolute tip. Food was cold.No tables had been cleaned toilets were a state. Staff stood around. One making sick noises loudly which is not great whilst trying to eat. Will not be returning and put complaint in to head office.

I ordered last Friday for tea after a busy day at work the order was ready within minutes and it was fresh the staff seemed super friendly as they always do at this store I will definitely come back

i requested no lettuce in my burger, and you gave me lettuce. disappointing, disheartening and such a shame.

Everything you’d expect from KFC. The door seemed rather heavy on the way in/out. While sat eating my meal this was shown as 2 people tried the door and assumed it was locked so went around to an emergency exit to which someone told them the door was rather stiff/heavy

Toilets broken, front door broken, place is a mess, and whenever I order anything from the menu with original receipy chicken I end up with nothing other than drum sticks. On a previous visit I ordered a bargain bucket 6 piece, and all I got was 6 drum sticks, there is never any other different portions available. So as a result of this I will not be visiting this establishment again.

Called in today. No soap in the wcs. All eat in meals been put in bags. No trays. Over cooked chicken. Staff mmmm one young lass (in seating area)been talked to loudly from another member of staff from behind counter but didn't look happy in her job. One of the worse kfc I've been to.

Every time I've been to this KFC branch, the waiting time is incredibly slow. Usually a 8-10 minute wait on food in the restaurant and in the drive thru, the food is usually quite dense or warm, not hot. Wouldn't reccommend.

It's seems to be a running theme that the fast food restaurants on Lakeside are simply lacking in everything. Service, manners, cleanliness, and food and drink. This KFC - Slow service. Often, it doesn't have lots of the menu (sold out or broken machines). The toilets are a mess too. And how ANYBODY other than a strong healthy human gets in that front door is beyond me. It's been broken for well over a year. Sort it out!

15 minutes wait for food only to be told my piece of chicken breast was not available and would be another 12 minutes to cook!?! I like the food, chips are great now too but the service is the worst I have experienced. This is true of all KFC restaurants in my experience though and one of the main reasons my visits are few and far between...

100% bad customer service ordered on the app went round the drive-through and then because it wasn’t ready they asked me to drive round the drive-through again after waiting 15 minutes it’s supposed to be fast food I suggest this KFC gets new management

Went in there at about 5:30 in the evening on the drive through and I’m livid with the boneless banquet prices but the young fella Sam on the til served me really nicely, overall good stuff

When order online is not nice it's looks not fresh food but inside they fresh.

We waited over 30 minutes for our order (two people so not a lot). They didn't seem particularly busy when we arrived either. When we eventually did get our order the meat was hot and fresh but the fries were cool. Tables etc were in need of a clean and tidy - no napkins available either

Very slow and disorganised, I stood for 35 minutes waiting for my order. While staff did their utmost to ignore waiting customers. Drive through and delivery companies prioritised over customers waiting in the restaurant. Food was average for KFC.

My biggest gripe with KFC is they dont serve any hot drinks. I'm not a cold drink lover with a hot meal, there should be a choice, its the only fast food restraunt I know that doesn't have hot drinks. Both of the Ladies hand-wash dispensers were empty so I could not wash my hands nor could my husband. He had to use ladies because the mens was out of order and the disabled was in use. I did inform a member of staff but there seemed no urgency to get them filled. You would expect a food restraunt where you eat with your fingers would ensure these were checked regularly , both were empty, not good. Good job I always carry hand wipes with me.

Service is too slow 🐌 staff couldn't care less...

Food was very hot, cooked thoroughly and good value. Self-service machine for some reason doesn't give a receipt, so maybe take a photo of the order number in case you forget. Relatively fast service, clean wooden decor, not too busy.

Ordered at self service and got no receipt. Upgraded to a large meal. Went to counter, girl was dealing with the order immediately, chips went on the tray, waited approximately five minutes before the chicken arrived. Asked for fresh chips which she duly did but she wasn’t amused. The large portion consisted of 3 drum sticks so god knows what a small portion consisted of. Coating was greasy and not crisp. Won’t be frequenting here again and especially at the price!!!

They don't have a coffee machine but the food was good

Utterly shocking from top to bottom. Coffee machine has been broken for months staff stood around at the front desk with arms folded talking having to be promted to serve customers. Food is absolutely dire . Who ever runs this establishment really needs to get a grip .

Poor service, food thrown together and just warm, dont often get what you ordered! Also last two visits, gents toilet had no soap in the dispensers although the sign stated they were regularly checked!

Nothing fast about this place, staff rude and even when you’ve been waiting for food in the drive thru for 15 minutes you don’t and won’t get an apology for the wait! Unorganised and messed up a simple order. Not good.

Kfc seems to of gone down hill..

It's what you expect really from a KFC although when I called in around 8pm it was very quiet there.

We ordered online, when we received our order we was missing the mash pots. As we began to eat we noticed there was slightly red parts. As we got further we noticed this. Will not be ordering again🤢🤢

Fantastic, great branch of KFC. Hot chicken,fast service. ate in. Clean and air conditioning.

Excessive wait & they still get the order wrong. This place does not get any better. I won't use the drive through anymore & even when I go in you still have to check your order. The 3 orders before mine were all wrong as well.

Unfortunately part of our order was missing, we used the self service screens which weren't printing a receipt on at least 2 screens. When we got home and returned, we were given the missing burger but told to bring the receipt next time. You would hope there wouldn't be a next time but hopefully the self service screens will have a till roll in. I'd also like to add all of the chicken portions seemed small.

Visited today with our severely autistic cousin who needs his food and drink to be served in a very particular way otherwise he gets distressed. Our server, Holly, was amazing. She really listened to what we needed and made sure everything was just right. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. It was a very positive experience. Thank you Holly for going the extra mile.

Only cash was accepted the day I went in there, they said it was due to connectivity issues..

Like the food .. Good to see that salt has been provide in different small pockets where in other place I experience was very salty chicken . I recommend this place .

What you get for what you now pay is robbery

So normally I like a good KFC, but in the 1 year that iv been in scunny this place has never had crushams on. Breaks my heart every time

Everytime I have been in here you can always find uncleaned tables and waste food on the floor

Haven’t had a Kentucky fried chicken for a long time ,so was looking forward to it ,I ordered it on the screen ,it cost me £20 as we only eat the breast ,We were VERY disappointed with the chicken ,it did not taste the same at all ,it was like it was a lower standard of chicken ,very chewy and did not taste very spicy at all,the rest of the food was passable ,the nicest thing was the Diet Pepsi ,will not be going back for any more ,next time we can afford a takeaway we will be very selective and I can assure you it will not be KFC ,a very disappointed customer .

Ordered nearly £35 for my family, paid at the screen inside, no receipt given. Girl who served us had no get up and go, no interest at all. We were told no rice was available, she explained alternatives very badly, then said a manager could alter the order. After 3 trips by her to the manager, it was clear the manager couldn't be bothered to do anything, so we were offered 3 pieces of chicken instead of a rice box meal! Terrible customer service. And when we arrived home the chicken was horrible, soggy and tasted just as bad as it looked. We'll never use this KFC again, probably put us off all KFC to be honest. The place was very quiet, maybe the above explains it?

Cold chips and the server seemed to hate their job.

Just got a 2 piece meal and not sure how long the chicken had been sat there but so dry and tasteless. 8pm May net be there peak time but still pay the same prices so expect a decent meal and not dried out chicken.

Lovely friendly staff. It was lovely and clean inside and outside.

Always had good things to say till the experience Ive just had at the drive thru at 13:26 today. Rude and very bad attitude when trying to order food. Wasn't going to write review and appreciate everyone has bad days but I wouldn't dream of speaking to paying customers like the woman did at the drive thru. Disappointing service

Only got 9 pieces of chicken not 10 pieces that we paid for plus no cookies was offered ice-cream instead of cookies. This is what happens when you order your food from a machine items are not removed then you have to get a refund, if we could talk to a human then we would have known they didn't have any cookies.

Got two stars as was delivered early and the bottle of pepsi Max was as it's ment to be .food was cold.beens looked like scrapped out of a pan and dry.chicken was very dry and bland.ordered two beans,got one and one mash?.I didn't order mash. Fry's was just chucked in a bag .will not be using this place again .

Standard KFC fayre. Just a bit of a pain that the card machine was broken but only informed when asked for payment.

Kfc - it is what it is. Cheap fast food, priced higher than McDonald's, around the same quality. When you unwrap your food, you can't help but feel disappointed that it doesn't match the look of the food displayed on the screens in store. It's massively underwhelming in comparison and you can feel cheated out of your money. There's no atmosphere, it's down to you to create your own atmosphere with your fellow dining members. No ipads to entertain the kids like those available in McDonald's either. No crowns or colouring packs like burger king either. It really is just a quick fix fast food outlet. Coke please.. Pepsi ok? No, coke please.. We only do pepsi.

Staff member was helpful , with app on the phone . But food is overcooked and hard but nearly cold . Our boneless bucket 🪣 consists of mainly small overdone pieces with a few larger pieces at the bottom . Too many staff at serving area but one dealing with customer orders , even though you can order with self service screen . Too much attention 😴 with serving drive-through at the expense of customers eating in . Toilets are a great improvement to Doncaster, but food is very poor 😕 compared to Scunthorpe . Cannot recommend , will not use again 😒 , £21.00 expensive for cold , overcooked food . Needs an older and mature supervisor , but like most fast foods , rely on young , low paid staff more interested in talking than customer care .

Beyond a joke how many times I've ordered from here and they've forgotten to put an item from the order in the takeaway bag. I'd say it's bordering on 9 times out of 10, something is missing!!

Ordered 2 meals take away only to find only had 1 order. Had to return to get second meal. No experienced staff on at all. And we were served by the shift manager.

Chicken was a bit dark ie looked over cooked. Chips were cold . Coleslaw was warm . Didn't want Pepsi max so ordered water they hadn't any so I got Pepsi max anyway . Used to love KFC but it will be a long time before I get another.

There is obviously no standard size to chicken, but what was passed off as chicken strips should not have made it through any form of QA.

Very disappointing, waiting 5 minutes for someone to actually serve me, then nearly 15 minutes for chicken, which was overcooked and dry. The only saving grace was decent gravy for once.

Ordered large fries and could count less than ten. No napkins no salt or sauce. Coffee was just hot watery milk. Complained and got the same replaced. Literally inedible. Staff don’t give a toss

First ever visit to a Kentucky. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Americano delicious just a shame they don’t do Decafe. I will be back 🥰

No hot drinks at all, and unable to go large on fries and coke, but other than that was the usual KFC standard expected.

Quick and decent food for the time of night we were there :)

Got our usual order of a family bargain bucket yesterday, with nice staff and quick service. However, the chicken looked and tasted no where near as nice as it usually does and has now left everyone, who had the chicken, with a bad and stodgy stomach this evening, including frequently running to the bathroom. Very disappointed at the quality of the chicken, and how it’s made us all ill, as it’s usually absolutely delicious with nothing to complain about. So although the chicken wasn’t good, and I didn’t eat much of it, the corn on the cob and fries were delicious

What a miserable place. Been stood for 15 mins by the counter just to be shouted to:"we will be with you as soon as we can" where there was at least 3 staff member at the shop front. Then Leoni who shouted to us earlier went to the back of the shop to play tickles with her friend and to look at her phone. We left after 20minutes of waiting and went without ordering anything. Staff have no respect for the customers. It's never been that bad in there. We didn't even heard a single sorry.

Waited ridiculous time for one of only two self service points. No receipt printing so had to try and remember my number (I have a learning difficulty so this is not easy). Then another long wait for My food and the hot wings were cold! Person serving was lovely though otherwise it would have been 1 star

Recently August 2o22...Another visit ordered party bucket only to be told at the window there will be a 15 minute wait on chicken, possibly being told that on ordering wouldn't have bothered ...again !! However food brought to car within 5 mins all hot and correct, thanks. Much improved 👏 Earlier visit 10 months prior.Food usually great, tonight having to wait 24 mins on drive through, ( so far) no explanation. Foods always great, but had I known wouldn't have waited.

Never had any issues with this KFC unlike the KFC at the other end of town.

Filthy food on every table all over the floor the bins were overflowing. Waited ages for the food cold beans cold chicken sandwich only thing that was hot were the few chips we got Won't be returning

Nice enough establishment, had the original kfc, as always bit on greasy side for those with delicate stomach. Go for fillets lot less greasy. Nevertheless enjoyed what had.

27th May 2022. Went through drive through and brought food home to Hibaldstow. To realise they had missed something from order. I rang the shop to speak to an assistant manager who offered to either replace the missing items or give me 20% discount on next order. I originally took the discount as I'd had a long day at work and couldn't be bothered to drive back then however noticed I get the same discount with blue light. So decided to go back after all. After waiting in the queue for around 15 mins then after some confusion leading to a further 10 minute wait at the collection window (drive through) a young woman was trying her best to serve me but must have been getting confused as to what to do as at this point they were aware I was given the discount code. She tried taking my order I politely said I don't want to order I just want what's missing...anyway after the woman was trying to reach out to her colleague for help and to gain some understanding on what to do the college on numerous occasions spoke to her like absolute garbage in front of many customers. The young woman was clearly hurt by this, I asked if she was OK and she said yes. The colleague literally pushed my items into her chest and pretty much pushed her my way and pulled a face at her. I told the young woman not to worry and to not take that from her. I gave her some reassurance and said that she was doing ok and not to panic. Anyway I got my items in the end.... So my complaint is partly about the missing items but mainly about the rude, obnoxious bully they have employed.

This takeaway was a good one on the Lakeside shopping estate, & staff seemed friendly. Food I had was delicious! Very good all round.

29th April. Just been through drive through not busy but at 6pm..no beans on offer as run out. We ordered family bucket.with extra side orders..when we arrived home to broughton. After we witnessed a girl throw our.. Over order. Onto the counter. With some force. Gravy tipped out all over the bag no corn on the cob. Wich we paid extra for. It was all over the car seats. Gravy. None left .very disappointed.

Hmmm ordered from the touch screen and zinger tower meal out off stock..however zinger tower box meal in stock ...haha obviously they want to make more money then care about customer satisfaction :( beware :(

Unfortunately it was not a great experience The staff told me that it wasn't their job when the machine ran out of receipt machine ran out of paper, we had to use our own hand sanitiser to clean the table and the other tables were covered in food scraps and there were no hot drinks again. The food was ok but the experience wasn't good at all! I can't honestly recommend this branch
