Disgusting state inside, staff stood around chatting despite the chaos. Had to wait a long time for food will not waste my money again

Second time here in two months. Takeout order for four people quickly prepared (less than 10 minutes), food was piping hot, I had time to drive back to Wilberfoss, and the food was still warm. Quality of the food was good, on par with other KFC.

Devastated. Ordered a box meal and got old style normal fries. Where have the delicious seasoned ones gone? These are terrible tasteless things 😔. Bathroom hand drier doesn't work. No paper tissues to dry hands. BK next door if need to stop off here again

We went the other day and frankly I was disgusted. the sevice was absolutely appauling, the store was empty when we entered and as we couldnt order what we wanted from the machines I went to the counter. After waiting almost 10 minutes where at least 6 staff members saw I was waiting, one finally decided to approach and spoke to me as if I was causing her a great disservice by actually ordering some food. I would understand if it was busy but the store and even the drive through was empty. The food was like warm at best and honestly the food was nowhere near the quality you get/ expect from kfc. Will not be going back there again, even if it means starving my toddler until we get the the next service area.

One of the better outlets, the chicken was well cooked, the coating was crispy and not greasy.

Went to one of the worst KFCs on a Sunday afternoon. Went through drive-thru. Took a while to respond at the speaker even though it didn't look busy. Placed my order and told me to go to the next window for payment. No one was there, but saw one employee chasing another with a toilet brush through the window. There's something not hygienic about that. Sitting there for 5 minutes, ran out of patience, went to the next window. I could see one person who was preparing food. Took a long time waiting for food, maybe about 10 minutes. All this time there was only one car behind me. The guy unconvincingly apologised for the wait. After getting the food, the flaming wrap wasn't even grilled, chicken was cold and was overly filled with supercharger sauce. What am I paying for???

They NEVER get my order correct. But the food is nice, when you finally get it.

1 STAR FOR NOT BEEN OPEN!! Went to KFC Pocklingon at 8.40 on Sunday night(23rd June) hopi g to get a bite to eat. Unfortunately arrived at the drive through to find it closed off, so attempted to order in store only to be told that they had turned off all the fryers and they were no longer preparing fresh food even though people were still eating in store. Shame really cos we had called in the week before and ordered the mighty bucket and the trilogy box meal and the food was actually quite nice. Sorry KFC but this has happened before at this store....closing early!! You advertise that your open till 9pm so that should mean 9pm not 8.40!!

Has we entered this kfc? I was shocked to see how dirty the floor was. You could feel your feet sticking to it. Then we went to find a table and none of them looked like they had been wiped for a while there was left over wrappers on the tables and bits of leftover chicken on the floor. There were three members of staff just stood talking to each other surely one of them could have cleaned the mess up . I can't believe I paid for this experience:-(. I will not be returning here .

Wow, where do I start when it comes to how brilliant my experience was when I visited this restaurant, all I can say is this young chap called Angus may have made my year, the chicken, so tender and when you mix it with Angus’ famous special sauce it gives it the perfect amount of stickiness to go with the absolute perfect chicken which he cooks up in that kitchen. I overhead some of the staff talking about Angus leaving and to be honest this brought a tear to my eye, it just won’t be the same without him, go well young man🫡

Big shout out to Angus today, the guy served us really quickly which is a surprise from here. One of my friends ended up choking on his food and Angus jumped over the counter and proceeded to dislodged the piece of chicken from his throat saving him a trip in the ambulance! As we were leaving we also saw him repairing a broken down car in the car park. Top guy!

Came to kfc Pocklington for a while now and I must say the food, service and atmosphere is always on top form when one person is on the job. His name is Angus. I am devastated to find out today that he is on his last shift this week and it won’t be quite the same without him. The only reason I gave this specific restaurant 4 stars on atmosphere is because this certain young chap is not going to be there anymore. The rest are gonna have quite the task filling the boots of this young man and trying to provide the service that he does every time without fail. He’s always joyful and greets customers with the upmost respect and is genuinely caring towards the product and service this KFC is providing. I hope the rest of the team can carry on without such a strong back bone that is Angus and can provide this legacy of perfect chicken to live on without this man here. We will miss you Angus good luck to you in the future and good luck to this kfc

Angus Elvin Hamilton, What an amazing Employee! Went above and beyond on the service brought it straight to my car in under 5mins! dipped it and fed me. The chicken was amazing, included Angus’ special sauce whatever that is??!, tasted amazing. Highly recommend to anyone out there, he also a described an experience in the disabled bathroom reserved for the best customer? Gonna check that out next time! So if you want to check out Pocklington KFC ask for Angus Elvin Hamilton for an amazing time, he went above and beyond on everything and i mean everything ;)

Atrocious wait time, service shocking, not one staff member smiled, woman who was taking food orders at the till changed to help with food with the food without washing her hands the same woman touched her face near her nose then carried on dealing with the food. i think staff members need more hygiene training especially when we can see everything. now got home and are missing 2 of the mini wraps and half of the boneless banquet is missing

Had an amazing time at KFC. Had a lovely chat with a boy called Will at the counter. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Massive shout out to the lovely boy at the counter though! Will be back soon!

Staff are more likely to stand around having a chat than actually serve. Waited over 20 minutes for a 2 person meal (one burger, one rice box). Out of gravy, and the food was sub par. Won’t be returning.

The chips were cold and soggy, certainly not crisp but the chicken was ok. Got rather fed up of the loud sound of the music being played

Tables filthy and staff stood talking only 2 ppl in . Food looked awful and tasted awful must be short of chips only got about 10 .

Dirty floor and tables was the first thing noted. The food was dire too. Luke warm rubbery chips and about 20 of them. Got burgers in wrong buns, so wife burning up from chilli and mine was her plain burger. For £14 it was bad, took it all back to be redone. Considering I was the only customer and a few drive through orders, not a good start. There's other options at this little park, so will do differently next time.

Fast Food! Ordered and had to wait in queue because the staff hadn't cooked anything, a wait of 15min. Used the toilets, no paper, taps were left running very dirty looks like they only get cleaned once a week.got our food , very greasy and soggy crust on chicken, we have eaten there in the past . However we are disappointed every time , we were hoping it might have got better, instead it's got worse!! Recommend people go somewhere else, I won't be going back. This outlet could be a gold mine. Will the owners get a grip and sort it out.

Winner of the dirtiest restaurant award goes to KFC Pocklington, if you are planning to eat it in take your own pack of antibacterial wipes to clean a table.

I am going to reserve my specific feedback until such time as I contact the Franchisee/owner....as directed by the manager after I gave him structured and evidence-based comments. Used KFC for many years as it is our favourite and best value takeaway. Handling complaints needs a specific skill which this particular young man had obviously not been trained in, which of course is not his responsibility. I will update this posting in due course after understanding from the owner why their business process broke down so badly this evening. At least the local crows benefited from our sub-standard un-eaten food. Possibly, the reason why most of the local crows are now attending Weight Watchers.

Chicken was a little burnt and the toilets were a disgrace! Almost left and didn't trust the cleanliness of the food area but the service was good and the rest was ok

Unfortunately it's a purpose built kfc but still it's feels small and cluttered, multiple staff walking round but only 1 person serving. So was a bit of a wait. Food was fresh, juicy and hot couldn't fault that except reg and large fries portion size are the same size due to them shaking the packet before putting in bag. They also load the cup up with half a cut of ice wasn't pleased. Also dining area could be cleaner. Would recommend use the drive thru and eat in your car.

KFC at Pocklington was excellent

Oops slight case of handbags over blue badge parking, all resolved eventually. Just wanted to say how brilliant the staff were in ensuring both parties were OK,satisfied and sorted. Very well done and rest of staff getting on very professionally. Food and seating brilliant as usual. Thanks again. 👌

This does seem to be a KFC where the kiosk ordering systems never work!

Door was so heavy i struggled to pull it to get in n push it to get out. Chicken pieces were dark brown n greesy skin. Way too hot burnt my mouth and fingers. Chicken fillets were tasteless n very salty. Service was quick but had to ask for spoon(but was given fork for beans), napkins, milk and sugar. Would not be visiting again.

Terrible service. Serves sugar free drinks without telling anyone which is a health hazard to certain people. No straws given at drive through and when asked they say drive around again. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Great food far better quality than McDonald's and cheaper too.

Hit and miss whether you get a good meal from this KFC. We have had really good and bad from here. I think staff on the day makes a difference.

Not great overall and the chips are very bad

Ordered 4 piece original and large popcorn chicken, asked for the chicken to be only breast, said couldn't do that, drove round to collection window there was a van stood there waited ten minutes no service so asked the van driver if he could move so I could leave, two minutes later he drove off, I pulled up to the window and asked the male server if my order was ready, he said it would be a couple of minutes so I cancelled and left, the guys attitude was terrible. The place was empty inside!!!

It's probably the coldest building to serve hot food, feel sorry for the staff working in there.

Ordered food to takeaway and didn't get everything we had asked for but was eating while on the go so never got it rectified.

We got a 10 piece bucket, 2 tower burgers and some hot wings. The chicken and everything else was cold after the 3min drive home, the chicken was pale and absolutely flavourless. I can only think didn't put the herb and spice mix in the flour. It was by far the worst kfc I've ever had. Also the manager was very rude to his staff and uninterested in his task to make sure people are doing their jobs.

Called for the first time on Saturday ,and will definitely be coming back. Food was hot and tasty, service was first class. Better than most KFC in East Yorkshire.

Wow! So bad it’s just about unbelievable. The prices have gone though the roof and at the same time the service and quality have gone through the floor, an impressively bad combination. This place should be shut down for the benefit on the brand as a whole.

As far as KFCs go this is a decent one. Actually got the food in the bag which I had ordered which a lot of KFCs somehow don't manage so I was quite impressed.

Part of the order forgotten by staff. But when returned to store the lady in charge dealt with issue appropriately and with kindness.

No Zero start available or else I would give that , that suits the person who did the served tonight. Worst service we had tonight with the staff who packed our food , didn't bother to even put the lid on our fried chicken even though we mentioned we were taking away and we asked for two packages very clearly and chucked all food in one bag and one box , is that we asked . Showing attitude to customers is not going to bring you more customers. KFC should review this issue. Management should look into it as well. Totally disappointed with the service. No more to your Store again. Completely Rude as well. Please don't do this to any of your customers again.

Great deals if u look but kfc great and focus advertising on high markup products. Look for large bucket of chicken for 19.99 :). Be prepared to wait..longest wait time of any fast food joints I know Right on the York/Beverley road on adge of Pocklington

This has never got any better since it opened. Shocking how there still trading! Waited over 20 mins through the drive thru. No gravy… No beans. Last time i came they had no Chicken!!! Ordered a 6 bucket. 5 Drumsticks!!! 1 heel. Seasoned fries i never asked for! I will not be returning to this place. I own a holiday business in Pocklington and i will be telling every guest that comes not to even try here. Shocking

I've been here a few times, never too busy as it's not in a town centre, so service has always been pretty quick.

At least 5 members of staff that I could see, no queues on the drive though, 1 (maybe 2) tables in with one couple ahead of me and it still took over 20 minutes to get my food order. Is KFC classed as "fast" food??

Slowest service ever witnessed. All staff standing around chatting. Three orders place after my order of a Twister (on its own) we’re cooked and served before they started thinking about making mine. Literally waited 25 minutes for a twister.

Service in drive through was very poor. Slow, confusing on where to pay. Counter had baked beans spilt on it just left drying there. Counter inside service booth covered in melted ice cream. Coke served with drink leaking from the top

The worst KFC I’ve EVER had. Chicken wings has 3 times more breading than meat, and meat was actually raw (4 out of 6 wings had raw chicken bits). Absolutely disgusting, not to mention dangerous.

Went in tonight(Friday) had a problem with my online order and the staff in there were very helpful and rectified it straight away. Food was cooked fresh and was piping hot with not too long of a wait. The young lads and girl working were flat out working hard and were doing a great job. Top class service👏🏻

Probably the worst KFC I've ever had!!! I spent 10 minutes in the drive thru waiting to be served after the lad on the speaker made silly noises and then I was told he'll be with me shortly....10 mins later I got served! The order was put in for a family of 5 so I ordered a sharing boneless 12pc bucket...I asked for some extras and was told they wasn't available! Once I received the food I asked if the supercharger sauce had been put in, the dopey lad on the Hatch lied and said yes it's in there, it wasn't! 4 portions of chips was included in the family order, it was more like 2 portions. The Gravy was like brown water! We had a portion of Hotwings, they were over cooked and not edible! To add the place looked run down and evan the screen in the drive thru was smashed! We were visiting the area otherwise I'd of returned with that food and thrown it at them! Awful!!

The place was filthy. Rubbish on tables and floor but all the time we were there no one cleaned anything. No napkins ( in KFC they are pretty much essential) toilets were dirty and hand dryer didn't work. I honestly cant believe KFC allow one of their outlets to operate like this. Food was ok bur given the cleanliness of the public are can only wonder what the kitchen is like. KFC need to look at this outlet.

Though virtually empty when we visited at around 7pm, the floors were filthy and several tables had empty trays on them. The bins were stuffed to the point of overflowing. When the meal was ready the staff were disinterested and barely communicated what was to be picked up. Only three very young men appeared to be working there and there was an obvious lack of leadership to sort out any of the issues. The chicken was O.K. but unless something is done about the cleanliness I’ll be amazed if the place doesn’t get shut down. I’d say best avoid and go to the Burger King or visit the McDonalds at Market Weighton instead.

The food was lovely the only thing that let them down was the kids wanted krushems but the machine wasn't working she said it was cause it had been cleaned that morning. But nice to know it had been cleaned.

Very disappointed got a 6 piece bucket was served with 5 legs and 1wing. On previous occasions when I asked for no legs the staff have been very rude to me. A pity because this restaurant has improved the quality of food presentations in recent months. Probably go to Burger King next time.

Chicken in wrap tasted overcooked with a dark brown appearance. Asked for a replacement and was advised that it is always like that i was however offered to choose an alternative item as a replacement

Rude customer service swore at me

Never has mash in, gone multiple times and they have closed early with no explanation and are rude if you try and ask why. Honestly least reliable take out around. It’s a roulette every time you go. Such a disappointment, could do with re-working a lot. Not KFC, just this branch itself.

£13.98 for 2 x zinger burger meals. Each burger was smaller than a £1 mayo chicken from McDs and we both got about 12 chips each. To be honest I thought they were kids meals. Stop ripping people off who are just passing by. I could I have cited the trade descriptions act but was in a hurry! Just Don’t.

I am not a regular at KFC, but every time I go there they have run out of something. Today it was teabags, on the previous two occasions the coffee machine was out of order.

Used the sled service screen to order with my loyalty app at about 20:50 on a Tuesday night. Good took a little longer than expected to be made, but it was piping hot. The chips were too hot to eat immediately,l - such a rarity in fast food.

Food was good had to wait about 10 minutes as had no boneless chicken left but didnt mind as i knew it was fresh and had not been stood for ages. It was very quiet when we arrived hardly anybody in then a load of people came in to order. Yet the staff were more interested in closing the seating area off early rather than serving customers food and kept telling seated customers who were eating that the seating area is closed in 10 minutes. Customers could have been served in half the time but as we all know most places now are short staffed and underpaid minimum wage minimum effort I suppose.

Kfc is great at a good chain but this is not it - 2 pots of gravy missing from our order, the other one was just water. Also forgot some wings and the ones they didn't forget had virtually 0 meat on them. This is also the 2nd time they've forgotten the bottom of our burger buns (how does that even happen???), as well as a drumstick. Their "portion of chips" is exactly 12 chips... Ridiculous that you're paying the same price at every kfc yet at this one you barely get half the food as the others.
