KFC Peterlee- Essington Way in County Durham

Had kfc delivered today, a one person bucket - 4 pieces of chicken, fries and drink. I have never before seen 4 pieces of chicken so small. I really don't think they could have been any smaller, not one decent piece and a few cold fries. Won't be ordering again, A complete let down.

What a joke ordered of just ear and food never arrived, absolutely fuming

Shocking service, they took payment from my 15 year old sons card, and said payment hadn't gone through, despite being shown it had come from his account. They said it always happens as they have a problem with the Internet and it would make 2 days to refund. The "manager" was extremely reluctant to apologise and I had to practically force him to give me head offices number. It's a shambles of a place, Inow understand why there was no one in there.

Food were great and fast service. Staff were friendly and good help. Will come again

I am a lorry driver and I ate in many places. I definitely recommend this; this is the best place where you can find the traditional taste.

Just been to KFC in peterlee has been a long time since I have been and won't be going back got boneless banquet was just say warm why use a large box beats me as it could have all fit in a small one and at 9.99 definitely not value for money got it at drive through and didn't have the time to go in to complain but certainly won't be returning

Honestly at first I was excited KFC had came to peterlee and for the most part it was ok but it's been like 2-3 years since they came by and it's horrible. The staff are not bad don't get me wrong but when you go they give you some kind of look as much to say I don't like you. The food most of it was raw the chicken tasted like nothing the only good thing was the chicken Ball's if you want my opinion don't eat here go to McDonald's it's better cheaper and the staff treat you well.

Wrong order and had to go back 3 times till they got it right

I love KFC so of course I'm going to give 5 stars. The new flavour fries are excellent and the bargain bucket sets are filling. They need more evening staff as the servers were working double time filling big bags for delivery orders and drivers were queuing to take those orders to waiting customers just returning home from work.

The food was as expected, good. I personally WOULDN'T order the gravy but chicken was good. The store was very quiet and didn't take long for order to be completed

The food was fine, they never seem to have any coffee. The air conditioning could do with sorting out, the heat was unbearable.

I have eaten Kfc all over the country and this is the worst one so far, spent 32 pounds for salty food one of the buckets had chip shop batter, and was very greasy, the actual KFC spice portions were red hot with pepper to disguise the taste, very disappointed and will never be back, for first time triers this place tastes nothing like real KFC

Witnessed staff member empty bins then wipe tables with just her hand then went behind the counter and started bagging up food. Did not wash her hands!!!!! disgusting. Food slightly warm.. Krushems totally disappointing, tasteless. Tables needed cleaning and floor was covered in food.

Tasty, decent friendly staff, only complaint is didn't get any straws for drinks but it's not end of the world

A bit noisy with children but everything else, seating, music, food was great.

I think they're doing lots of renovations around. There isn't much place to sit and eat. Lovely fresh food. KFC has the best chips so far. Chicken's skin is a little salty. Good and fast service

Got a bucket of boneless chicken added 2 extra portions of boneless chicken pieces plus a popping chicken got home no extre chicken or popcorn chicken, first time we've tried it but it's the last , the staff was to busy talking plus there was only 2 other people inside eating so the eat in wasn't busy ...

Food came freezing cold with no gravy in my bonless box. I ring them up nd explain its the second time this has happend nd i carnt eat the meal dry. The manager wasnt willing to assist in any way or help me. Another £13 wsisted. Customer service pathetic food dry and freezing wont be ordering from here anymore. Staff are clueless

3 star for service as we originally went through drive thru but after sitting there for a few mins and nobody had acknowledged us I went and parked up and ordered inside food was really decent

Went in today desperate for the toilet, they rudely explained toilet was only for paying customers, I bought items and they still refused to let me use there toilet.

My 16 year old daughter came and got food at 8:15 but was told she was not allowed to eat it inside!! It was raining at the time and my daughter had to sit in a tunnel to get out of the rain to eat her food!! Shocking as you have taken her money for food but not allowed to eat it inside where she bought it from. I have been ringing to speak to some one but the phone has been engage for over an hour!

Very poor experience, the self service machine wasn't working so had to order from desk, the staff were ignoring us when waiting to order and when we get the order the chicken was cold so complained and asked them to heat it up but the response wasn't good, the woman had attitude and not professional. Apparently it was normal temperature ??? I asked her to heat it up but she said it was impossible, like really !!!. Ever heard of a microwave ??? . My partner went up after and asked to speak to the manager and she reluctantly wanted to deal with us because we were complaining, asked if we wanted a refund but we just wanted to have our order so she checked the temperature and what a surprise found out it was cold and done us new chicken hot this time. People pay good money for KFC, this is the second one with poor service, the other was in Dragonville, Durham which was cooked hotter but the order took ages over 30 min which is not fast food, people were complaining. Second time we went there it was better but I'm not coming back to this one. I think the trouble is they are dealing with home deliveries in these places, lack of staff to handle it all.

Always get served quickly. Chicken nice and fresh, always hot and crispy. I would give the chips a miss as they're not what they used to be, more like a soggy mess now.

Definitely won't order here again the food wasn't even cooked properly the chicken was still raw. The order took over an hour an a half to come I called the restaurant they told me it was been cooked leaving the restaurant in a couple of minutes but it turned up cold. They also messed up the order and missed items off the order when I called the restaurant back they completely ignored my calls. Not happy at all.

Visited for our first ever kfc after a swimming session. We all thoroughly enjoyed it only giving it 4 stars as the self serve were out of use and only having 1 staff member on to serve over a lunchtime was causing quite the queue and delay.

Go home to find out no sides no hot wings no coleslaw no gravy chips freezing cold tasteless make a phone call the lady on the phone had manners like a pig if she's the manager she should be sacked in my opinion seriously bad attitude problem on phone

I was in here for one of their zinger meals for £5.99 with regular fries and a Diet Coke and it was fantastic, there was also table service so as soon as I placed my order it was brought too me and they also took the rubbish away when I was finished so I could not fault the place. Excellent service and meal I would definitely use again in future.

Just been in drive thru won't be going again. Got a boneless meal when I got home no fries in bag I ordered a extra corn on cob not in bag either, I even said that the bag felt light when she gave me it she said it's all there?? Guess not , what I did get wasn't worth having g as the chicken was burnt won't be eating here again very disappointed

Lovely and clean staff very polite and friendly. Did take a while for the food considering not busy. Chicken not as crispy as other KFC's i have been too and chips a bit cold.

I was a bit disappointed my son ordered a fillet box and got no drink or fries with the meal, and it's a bit greedy to ask for more money for a few pots of sauce to dip the fillets in. My sons chicken was a bit well done for me, but was still moist inside. My rice box meal was good value and filling.

Chicken and sides spot on, but those fries man. Should never of changed them, ended up with 1 portion of fries instead of 4 and they still ended up in the bin lol

Visited KFC peterlee today, my daughter is a vegetarian so she tried the vegan burger, normally she wouldnt bother with meat substitutes she says they are usually tasteless like cardboard. Today delicious.

Walked in for service at 22:15pm on Sunday evening to be told they were closed,even though they advertised closing time was 23:00pm....P**s poor service.

Absolutely disgusting,barely warm,my sons chicken fillet meal,the chicken was tiny basically scabby then the hot wings came cold,very rude sum of the staff.wont be going back at all.

Tried to charge me more than it was and she was quite rude about it. They charge more for just burger and fries than if you have a meal. Didn't want a drink and again she was rude about my order. Fries were old and tasteless and only 12. Rip off.

Left the burger for the kids meal and won’t answer the phone. The line has been busy for 5 minutes now so they’ve probably picked it up and left it off the hook. Absolute robbery!!

I have mixed feelings as sometimes the food is good but other times they put too much salt in all which makes it inedible it has happened to me 2 times .

While waiting to get my food at the window, I noticed staff on their phones while making customers foods and touching their face and other things and not even washing their hands after. Having worked in the food industry myself the employees were completely unhygienic and not to mention the attitude. I approached the manager who apologised and asked me to point out the employees which i had called out on however this should have been noticed and addressed with customers noticing their unprofessional behaviour. Not to mention me crushem was half full yet again… never again

Messed my order up ended up paying more to resolve it, half filled my drinks and had bad attitudes with me throughout. Think they all need training how to talk to people and take orders.

I have just ordered tonight, the delivery was early but the pizza basically had a sprinkle of cheese on it wasnt even properly cooked it was white and the crust, youd think they just used an oven pizza. the chips taseted microwaved and its not the first time they have.

I ordered chicken nuggets, cheesy chips and a pepperoni pizza and 3 cans of diet coke. The order arrived 10 minutes later than expected. They put full fat coke in rather than diet (won't be getting drank due to being diabetic) the chicken nuggets were horrendous. Warm not hot and ended up being fed to the cat. The cheesy chips were OK. The pizza was OK but by no means great. Bit of a shame. When it first opened it was lovely.

Good was cold there was more crust to the pizza than tomato hardly no tomato base on the pizza, chips were cold and soggy really hoped it was nice bit disappointed to be honest

Amazing... Ordered the mixed kebab. Its was huge!! Enough to feed 3 people, good quality and you get all the trimmings. (Salad, Garlic, Chilli and Chips) The only thing is it took over an hour to be delivered but well worth the wait. Will definitely order again.

Pizza was very delicious, if you ask me, there pizzas are very tasty and of great value. I was given a free portion of chips aswell. Yaayyy. I always feel welcomed when ordering from this takeaway, Will certainly be reordering. Thanks for you great service and lip licking good food :D
