I had the 3-piece Original Recipe chicken, and it’s perfect if you're craving some delicious fried chicken.

This is what a 2.99 large signature fries you will get. I don’t understand how this is large!

I find KFC can be really hit and miss. Thankfully it was a hit at this branch. Manager was helpful with a query I had. Food was good.

Quite small place but plenty of parkingavailable. Several food outlets on site. Would be better if one of the outlets was 24hrs. Was only a breakfast place open when we visited one early morn and food wasn't that great. Toilets lovely and clean.

Worst service I donot want come again here I waited my food for half hour but no response until we ask I loose my money

Worst kfc I've ever had. Burnt wrap, undercooked chicken burger. Waste of 12.98. You'll need the toilets provided by welcome break for this one. Go to chopstix or burger king.

Need to be more what the customer wants to change in a set meal it should be changed or have an alternate to spicy if not appropriate

Usual motorway services experience, the food wasn't so fast but it was hot and tasty so happy overall. Definitely better than the last couple of experiences in the Carlisle branch.

Food is always okay but it’s common that they forget some of your items the last few times I’ve been. They aren’t open till 10 like it says on google, if I can remember correctly they shut at 8pm.

Food was hot and delicious, arrived at very busy time, staff did not stop. Atmosphere among people waiting was not good grumbles heard and eye rolls because of the wait, people working today were stars

We ordered the 10 wing meal expecting it to be proportional but instead we got almost no fries with 10 wings. This was not worth it for £10.00. Dont wasn't your time with Welcomebreak and go to Roadchef they have Mcdonald and is way better.

Very clean, plenty of seats available, good choice of food and drink, well stocked shops.

Didn’t get served staff ignorant and completely ignored me. Learn the basics. Zero out of ten

Gravy pot lid wasn't on properly, so when I took it out of the box it spilled all over my clothes, belongings, table and floor. I went to tell the staff and they didn't apologise, only handed me some roll to clean up the mess and didn't offer to help. I'm just sad they didn't care about the mistake they made and how they handled the situation.

Absolutely awful.they forgot to put my extra portion of chips.Ordered £25 worth of food through the app but didn’t even get a paper bag to carry the food. When asked at the till the rude specky lady told me it’s 10p which I didn’t have on me. Tiny chicken pieces with overpriced and rude staff. Avoid at all cost.

Oh my, the young lad behind the counter is hopeless. The young lady had to intervene as he could just not organise at all!!! So slow too.

Staff member was touching there face then handled food and when they did didn't say the order number or the order it self. And the chicken was dry.

We waited 15 minutes for 2 mini fillets rolls as we paid by cash the girl kept on serving people who ordered online or by their phone our order was sitting on their shelf for about 10 minutes I was just about to ask her when she was going to do my order when she started to do my order this was unacceptable as we only had 20 minute bus break we had to eat our food on the bus the bus driver said we were not allowed this on the bus but he let us when I explained the circumstances once again this was unacceptable behavior from kentucky staff as all customers should be treated the same by the way mini fillets were not that hot when we eventually got them

Awful, my wife and I got food poisoning. Almost 10hours later we had diarrhoea for the next 2 days, Chicken was chewy albeit was not undercooked but was definitely not right and was the cause of our food poisoning. (We had the same food the previous 2 days of normal everyday food(s) Expected more of a high street name. This has put us both off for life and will be passing this info on to everyone close to us.

Awful! Stopped for dinner placed our order and paid waited 15 minutes only to be then told when the order called that they had no fillet burgers left! Ok I get it’s busy and you run out of stock but when you know you have run out when someone orders tell them at the point of ordering! Don’t let them pay and make them wait before telling them! Then have no clue how to refund the part of the order they don’t have! In end had to get complete refund and get food elsewhere! Waste of time! Much better staff training needed! Better off going to the Burger King at these services!

Did not realise that you could not use vouchers or offers here due to it being a services so lost out.

Having enjoyed KFC for many years, we were so disappointed with the quality of food this branch produces. One would presume , with their high footfall and turnover the quality would be spot on, sadly this is not the case ! We purchased a chicken Fillet tower box meal & chicken on the bone! The fries were stone cold , the chicken fillet burger was served soggy, with limp lettuce and way too much mayo & sauce, which was obviously piled on top to disguise the poor taste. The so called crispy chicken batter on the original chicken was disgusting ! Overall the standards at this KFC have dramatically slipped, it’s only a matter of time until they find their business in the same position as the “Little Chef” & “Wimpy” both of whom took their eye of the ball. To crown it all the charge for this rubbish was excessive , I wish we had continued on our travels to McDonalds, who obviously have mastered the knack of crispy chicken burgers !

Great place to stop during a long journey. Mostly self service terminals. Although you can pay by cash at the cashiers till. Toilets were clean. Great atmosphere.

The food was great. The service was relatively fast on Friday pm.

Consistently good food. Often quite a wait for it though and there's no app or loyalty scheme available here.

Excellent for a quick snack,but a brilliant nostalgia trip

It was utterly mobbed but the staff handled it well. Missing items were replaced immediately. Some of the order screens were out, which may have explained the queue. Food was to the usual standard, if at motorway service station prices. For example, the boneless 8 piece bucket was £21.99.

Much the same as most service stations, more expensive than on the high street. Service was good, staff pleasant and efficient, toilets clean and there was plenty of parking. The road leading in though is full of pot holes, so beware.

Worst KFC in the UK I've ever been too ,short staffed slow and not able to use the app , as a loyal customer who loves KFC , this is one I will not be back to.

Very hard working staff , who, no matter how busy, have a smile on their face! When you've travelled a couple of hundred miles & need a leg stretch and a decent KFC this is a great place to stop by!

Doesn't let you scan the app for stamps... fair play I can let it slide they don't honour the deals on the app, but if I'm paying premium prices for slop I should at least be able to claim the stamps towards rewards

Busy services and ordering screens we're down, clean with plenty of seating

Stopped here on my way up to Scotland. Food was hot and tasty and plenty of parking in the car park worth a stop this will be a regular stop for us now

Unfortunately it is a very busy services, so had to queue to get in and out of the carpark. On our return journey we chose another just because we saw it was busy.

There is no schedule until 11 p.m....at 10 p.m. they close...change the schedule

Not a bad services, we always stop here on our long trip to and from our holidays to Scotland. Good choice of food n refreshments. Just be careful of the pot holes in the roads on the way in and out!

Like most KFCs not exactly fast but did the trick. Not one for the purists - had a four piece meal and given two legs and two thighs. Doesn't open late, although one of the last units to close there. Very wobbly table in the shared eating area.

Service can be abit slow. Often get orders mixed up and wrong so check before you leave. Though food tastes the same all other KFC outlets.

Absolute disgrace counted 14 fries. Definitely won’t be using again

The zinger burger and chips were cold and hard. Half of the chips were all bad so I ended up with about 6 chips.

So glad they made it quickly. I was starving.

Chicken was ok but the gravy, which is the only reason I go to KFC, was like recycled dishwater that had been used to clean every greasy pan and tray in the place. Not the standard I expect from Colonel Sanders. It's all about the gravy, always!

If 0 stars existed then I would have gone for! I can't say my review is based on the food because, after a 40 minute wait, and at least another 15 to go, we decided to request a refund. Absolutely shocking service without even so much of an apology. The guys on the front moving like snails and meticulously putting orders out in the order they were received (meaning they stood there staring at the slots most of of time) as opposed to looking and seeing which orders could have gone out immediately. Some families said they'd waited over an hour! Most people going to the services are hoping for a quick pit stop. This KFC will certainly not give you that. If you don't have an hour of your life to burn, don't bother.

Rude staff, no customer service skills whatsoever. No menu to look at prices and kiosks switched off on purpose so you end up ordering blind. They're meant to be open till 10 but at 9.30 I was told that there is only enough chicken left for one meal, well you should make some more! That's why it's called fast food!

It's ok. Some odd seating and tables/buns could be cleaned more often.

After feeling unwell on a car journey we stopped at Gretna services and proceeded to order from kfc, the member of staff I interacted w/ was nice however he repeated my order back to me numerous times when it was made very clear. After ordering I was waiting over 30 minutes for my ‘fast food’. When it finally arrived the other member of staff was moody and snappy when I asked where there was some cutlery, he also made a foul face when I checked my meal as the lady in front of me had her order made incorrectly. Would only go here if you’re kind of hungry and want to build up an appetite whilst waiting. Because from my experience I was waiting for what felt like an eternity.

What can you say about KFC?, just can't beat the one in Alloa unless you happen to be in the one at Gretna Services. Try not to miss them when I go shopping or travel south to Manchester
