Poor food cold and they got people in there they don’t know what they’re doing Disgusting and pricey only got 5 chips they were like door steps

Great but avoid late afternoon as kids use the place as a playground then early evening the older ones take over. Last evening no coffee available. On recent visits tables not cleaned hand drier not working and no WiFi . Staff have no interest in customers. A year later getting scruffier once again no coffee no salt dirty seats hand drier and wifi still not working. Guess Mc Donald's chicken over the road next time. Tried them again this time called at McDonald's to get oa coffe to take in waited over 30 minutes for order to arrive while we watched delivery drivers get their orders first. Tried them again October 2024 and once again not a single worker there interested and conditions same as above only now they have copied Donald's by serving soggy Luke warm fries.

Consistent quality food. Visit regularly Edit. Visited again. Store is forcing people to use electronic ordering instead of at the counter. Staff were very helpful, and had to finally take my order at the counter anyway, as what I wanted wasn't on the system. 4 or 5 people came after while I was eating and wanted to order at counter. Get your counter Staff back in post please!

i ordered a zinger combo that i always order back home, and the cheese was not melted??? the chicken was barely hot idk if this is a british thing but it needs to change. If i ask for cheese i don’t expect it to be just a slab of hard cheese, for peets sake melt it!!! the fries were thick and adequate, seasoning was muddled.

I had to go to the counter 3 times to request something they had forgotten off my order. Even though there were only 2 tables in the restaurant, I had to wait a decent while before someone even came to assist at the counter

The toilet has to be the most smelly I have seen in all of the kfc restaurant I have visited Put this way if I had visited the toilet before I ate I would of walked out straight away

Fantastic service from Mau, Stacey, Scarlett. Honestly it was busy and they were friendly, fast and happy to be there. I’ve been to so many KFC all over the country and it’s rare to see staff genuinely happy to be there. A real asset to the company

Can not order food at counter - only by machines - cant talk to a machine - had a party of 12 to cater for but it was over to mcdonalds instead. Looks like kfc will be closing - and the shop was empty

We most often use the drive through so can't really comment on the atmosphere HOWEVER, when I have been in to store, it's been as you would expect a fast food restaurant to be. Food is always yummy from here and more often than not, service is friendly and with a smile.

These changes are just ridicules!! Can't order any food at the tiles. Had only 30min of lunch brake. Went to kfc and spend 15min in a queue waiting to order food but only 2 of 3 displays was working. Finally gave up and went to McDonald's!! Dear KFC team. If you don't want to loose your customers get it back as it was!!! It's annoying!!

Absolutely terrible restaurant.. staff are slow and don't seem with switched on. Missing parts of orders. Food not present properly and hardly warm . Worst kfc I've ever been in!!

Used the drive through which at 4.30pm was quiet. Ordered a 14 piece bargain bucket and was told to park up as the wait would be 20 mins while it was cooked!!! You are KFC for god's sake, you cook chicken. It should be available. It's supposed to be fast food!! It was noted that delivery guys in taxis and on scooters were in and out in 2/3 minutes, maybe these people are prioritised over the general public. Who knows. Anyhow, eventually it was delivered and we drove home only to find that the bucket contained 14 pieces of soggy chicken. Cookery lessons required for your staff I think. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Did take away order food was not what we ordered and was not up to the standard that you would expect.

Food was OK but we waited for more than 40min in there. Although there were not more than 5 orders in the screen we waited really long.

40 minute queue to be served by the most ineffective, “fast food”, service in Clacton. As the old catering adage goes, “when the staff are 🟤 hygiene goes down”, must be true, currently only 4⭐️

Drive thur can be particularly slow, normally get sent to the car park for 5 minutes

Waited in drive through for 35 minutes! I know it was closing half hour later, but finally got our food drove home and almost half the order was missing! Spent £65 on meals for the family only to have to cook something as 2 burgers and chicken pieces were all missing! Yet had one extra chips! Didn’t make sense, no sides of beans etc ordered either! Won’t be going back..

Couldn't get any more lazier than this, who is actually going to enjoy a core of rock sold lettuce???

Run out of chicken. Again. More Chicken in a vegan pot noodle. Avoid They have replied with 'we'll do our best to improve' Probably start by hiring a Bulldozer.

As all KFC customers know, there is a big difference between a good and a bad KFC. The food at this one was just plain bad. Greasy, and bad. Lots of empty tables, every single one of them dirty. Very bad experience.

Love the chicken but can get very busy and order machines can be frustrating. Watch out you don't get knocked over by deliveroo 🤣

Been here twice and both times equally as bad. 30 minute wait for cold food from staff who clearly couldn’t care less. HO “Care Squad” just issue vouchers but don’t seem to want to fix the issues. Never again.

Went in the drive through and the server could not understand my order .... wondered why my order was £10 over the usual costing ended up with 12 portions of fries!!!!!

It wasn't my choice ,I am not into fast food much to greasy for me ,but my husband and friend enjoyed it .

One of the best KFC chicken and chips. Fresh tastes, great and polite customer service. The manager was so polite and you can see teamwork in the best way. Thank you so much for great customer service and amazing tasty food 🙂

Just been in clacton on sea kfc waited to be served, 3 members of staff see me standing there but totally ignored me, 🙁 mostly concentrating on drive through & uber delivery's this isn't the first time it has happened, won't be going back. "RUDE"

Hot chocolate is so watery and disgusting

I placed an order via the app, the waiting time showed 30 minutes, after about 45 minutes it showed another 30 minutes, and finally after about 15 minutes my order was canceled. It's the first time I've had such a situation, but I'm angry because I waited an hour for an order that I didn't receive. No more KFC😡

Please get a drive through order correct first time. And please put in the necessary napkins, utensils and condiments asked for. You are letting down everyone that works so hard in the restaurant when you forget these!!!

Drive through was not good, no eating utensils, not asked if we need any sauces, and didn't ask me which side I required + intercom system was rubbish as I hardly understood what was being said.

Not good at this store,no communication between staff gave my order to someone else told me to park in pizza hut car park to wait for my order so no one told the person with the food where I was had to go in store and wait for my order to be cooked again,they seem to go around like headless chickens so kfc is the place for them.

The worst KFC I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. Loads of staff standing around when all the bins were full and napkins, straws, etc. all over the floor. Food was cold and when I pointed it out the server did a loud sigh threw both of the burgers in the bin. Only plus was they were replaced quickly by food that was equally as cold. This experience means I will probably never visit a KFC ever again.

ordered from the menu 4 times and was still given the wrong order staff do not listen properly ,was asked 4 times for our order ,i compalined to manager but was told as i'd paid for all the items i wrongly received there was nothing she could do unless i took the order back,yeah right who does that once at home ! will not use them again useless staff

What a mess this place is. We popped in here after a long journey during the summer holidays for a quick bite. Didnt look like management was present, lots of empty tables that hadn't been cleaned up and overflowing bins. I saw some manager looking person walk out a room, scanned around and then took a picture of the only non messy area, then proceeded to go back into a little room never to be seen again. Order was wrong and saw quite a few others customers that had to take orders back due to being incorrect. Staff looked very un-motivated. Manager needs a kick up the....

DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH! Every single time we've made an order from this branch, something has been missing from it, and it's getting tiresome now. There are only so many times you can say, never mind, it's a busy night etc. Absolutely useless!

nobody in front or behind me told to wait in parking bay & shut the window for 2 chips 2 pices of chicken. I sat at the window as no cars behind me chubby girl gave me my food through window not a happy bunny she needs to be in play school not serving customers that help to pay her wages

Absolutely the slowest KFC I've ever been to for a takeaway all they were interested in were delivery orders the one and only time for me at that place

3 times I had to say what I wanted for them to bring out half the order and wrong burger which was Stone cold..

Went to get a bargain bucket for myself and grand children, my stomach dodgy my poor grand children are complaining of stomach aches and they have a flight out tonight, both got diarrhea poor mites, never again,

The usual. High quality and friendly staff. Good food served quickly.

Very low quality food. The chicken pieces are nearly always drumsticks and thighs. The meat on the thighs is usually tough and chewy around the edge. If you get a wing, it's often freakishly tiny, like it's from a sparrow. The vile chips are from unpeeled and usually rotten potatoes, the popcorn which I loved until recently is now lacking flavour and dry. If you order a cold Pepsi, you'll get a room temperature Pepsi Max. As for the prices? They're astronomical. It's just not worth it, especially when Favorite and SFC are so much better. The queues for KFC's drive-thru can be quite long, which makes no sense.

No idea how this store is still open. You are guaranteed to get the wrong order, surely it’s not that difficult? Not matter if you do drive thru, order inside, Just Eat the order will be WRONG and you MUST check your food before you leave. Nothing more frustrating when you get home a you get a VEGAN burger instead of a tower burger meal. Do better.

Not had KFC for years, was pleasantly surprised, My fillet burger had no dodgy bits at all and the chips were actually hot unlike my last ones from McDonald's. Even my fussy daughter enjoyed hers too. Only gave 4 stars for service because there was a bit of a wait.

Went in to get a variety bucket for dinner and when I received it I was given one thigh one wing and four drumsticks. I took it back and asked the one of the staff it they thought it was acceptable and value and asked for two bigger pieces to which I was told "Well that's what you get". The girl was very rude with a bad attitude. The bucket was taken back and when I got home all she had done was taken out the thigh and put in a little breast piece. I used to use this quite a lot and was always happy with the service and quality of the food but i will not be going there again I would rather drive to Colchester. I should have asked to see the manager but I had been caught in the rain and was wet and just wanted to get home.

I keep making the mistake of going here instead of driving to Colchester! Service is slow food is ALWAYS wrong and they think it's acceptable to give chicken that's falling apart and made up off 3 drum sticks and 2 wing pieces as part of a 6 piece family bucket! Same time drive to Colchester. Also only one member of staff that wasn't rude!

Had a meal from the drive through 6 hours after eating it I had terrible stomach pains and the runs had to go to hospital had food poisoning frome the chicken if you don't want to end up in hospital avoid like the plague the food was literally thrown in the bag the gravy went all over our car I had to ask for a fork to eat my coleslaw with but they only had spoons gave us no serviettes and the chips looked like they had been warmed up in my opinion they should be closed down as I was seriously ill in hospital afterwards needless to say the place was empty

It's KFC, which I personally like. The sit in is always quiet, seems like they get more drive through's. But it's good to sit in now and again.

Went here a couple of weeks ago has to wait 40 min after they took our order young girl did apologize when we got home the food was disgusting went straight in bin Shame as we used to use the one in Braintree and that was alway delicious. Staff need retaining and also her a decent cook .

Terrible fries. Cold . Inedible. Hardly many of them and covered with black stuff and blue on the fries. Like the potatoes bad. Forgot to put drinks in our bag Realised up the road and had to go back. No sorry or response by staff.

Hit and miss with quality, sometimes dry chicken and slow service, don't bother with delivery service because its slow and useless, if you have a problem the staff are rude and unhelpful so you would be better off getting your chicken from morrisons 9

Pulled up on a quiet evening. We was the 3rd car in the que took 35 minutes to finally get to the payment window no one was taking orders via the coms their drive thru service has always been poor but food is great

Absolutely disgusting, I spent a lot of money. They didn't put the lid on the gravy properly, gave me the bag and the gravy went all over my 76 year old mums leg and burnt her. I went into the store and one of the ladies laughed at me 🤬. I can assure you I will NEVER be going to that store again and I'm seeking legal advice about the situation

The food was lovely but the cleaning was awful with food under the tables and just loads of mess for old food. Outside bins was overflowing with old take-way.

We were served by Katy / drive through/, very rude, unprofessional and unfriendly person. Ignored our questions for cold drink and receipt showing us her back!!!! That’s not the way to deal with customers!

I would have given it 5* for food, had I not hard a burnt to a crisp hash brown in my zinger tower meal. Other than that the signage could do with an update and I cannot comment on atmosphere as only ever drive through.

KFC meal for four was lovely in Clacton.

Firstly, this is the cleanest KFC I have had the pleasure to enter, unlike so many others and it was quite busy when we entered about 5pm. Staff were tidy and presentable, courteous and helpful. We ordered our food without being rushed (which was a great experience as my father doesn't have patience for much these days). The order was correct with 1 exception and it was corrected without stress, amazing! The food was actually eaten by the 4 of us with nothing being left. Food was freshly cooked and cooked well, chips as well. Would definitely come and eat in here again. Even the toilets were reasonably clean.

It was Appalling service Also not rush to go back

Came today after not having KFC for a long time but fancied it today. the man at the till was very hard to communicate and struggled working the till but i’ll give him the benefit of the doubt as he may be new. but when my food came it was wrong and my chicken was tough to chew.

App took my money but did not process my order. Had to pay again in store and waiting a refund.

Service was good. I think the lady taking the orders couldn't hear us properly. I have over sensitive hearing and it was too noisy in there for me. The sound bounces from one side to another. We was going to eat in but, changed our minds because of the noise. The crushems was a bit watery in this KFC. But the food was lovely and hot.

Had lovely KFC takeaway, you do have to check you purchase inside the bag as order frequently not correct but fresh and enjoyable 🙂

Food was as expected...staff were a bit moody, a thank you & a smile would have been nice, maybe an off day
