Takeaway order 20/10/2024 16:30 bonless feast and a sandwich with mini fillets. Order for about £28. The waiter serves it on a tray as a take-in. Ok, maybe a mistake. I pointed out that it was supposed to be a takeway and the lady kindly started translating it. She spills fries from MY few portions and what?? Oh well, nothing. She didn't fill it out and didn't give any new ones. Waiting time about 10 minutes. Long ? Well, yes. At that point there was only one in progress order. Mine. To sum up. KFC is the only fast food I use. Due to my frequent travels (by road and privately several times a month), I had the opportunity to compare them. I regret to say that KFC Carmarthen is the WORST place in the UK I have ever been to. It's not the food's fault, but unfortunately the staff's fault. I understand that maybe someone is studying (they should be supervised), or maybe it's a bad day (biomet is unfavorable), but it could be once a year. At KFC Carmarthen, in my opinion, this is starting to become the norm.

Ordered on Uber, ordered the crowd pleaser only to have a burger meal arrive with none of the contents that I ordered arrive, it’s been constantly bad for years now especially after lockdown but Jesus man how can someone mess up a massive family sized meal for a single freezing cold burger and chips. Id honestly suggest that if you fancie a kfc that you drive the extra 10 minutes to the one in cross hands

Yet again waited nearly over 35 in store to order no staff came to server me at till and left with nothing yet again very poor customer service and care, needs proper management to sort out stuff in this branch Very disappointed. Update: 20th Sept 2024 Disappointed with the how talbes have been left filled with rubbish and the with time waiting for for a few bits of chicken from the Carmarthenshire branch just Disappointed yet again.

Wait times were horrendous, waited 35 minutes for food, people who had ordered after myself were served before. Another customer who had been waiting 40 mins when I arrived, waited another 20 minutes after that again before being served, missing items. Several items I had ordered, I was told, were unavailable after waiting 35 minutes. The floor was filthy, food, wrappers and spills, no attempt in the entire hour I was there by the end of eating, to clean at all. Hair found in my food, was given a replacement peice of chicken, however that doesn't mitigate the fact that hair was found within the food. No hair nets, hats worn, but long hair was just left outside of the hats. Overall, the hygiene was disgraceful. The wait times for supposed fast food was way to long, and made longer by having to redo items, and offer alternatives to food not told unavailable before ordering. Bins were also overflowing

Give it a miss, I don't think anyone knows what they are doing. Meals abandoned, customers asking for refunds, It's bad and the guy who seems to be in charge is really miserable. The board say's your meal is ready, they are stacked upon there but not getting out to customers who are waiting 20 minutes or more. We won't go back again

A very poor experience, ordered food at the screens but wanted to pay cash, which it stated you can do. But the lady serving cancelled our orders because we did not ask her directly at the till. I had to repeatedly ask her to gain her attention to re place our orders, KFC was practically empty with her serving no one else. Bad customer service, over priced and poorly cooked food when we did get it. We wont be returning.

Giving this a one star is being too kind if I could I would give zero stars. The place was absolutely filthy. The staff where roude except the one on till who was nice to my daughter. The place seams to be ran by half asked people who arnt really botherd about their job. Attitude is unacceptable. Bins over flowing. Napkins on the floor. Workers standing around gossiping. Store supervisor didn't seam bothered. Really wouldn't recommend this kfc to anyone. All I went in for was pop corn chicken. It's a total let down and a dive.

Worst experience ever, had food poisoning for the past 2 days due to poultry poisoning fully diagnosed. Only started happening the morning after our meal will never ever go back and have spread the word to multiple others. Cook at home with fresh chicken. Disgusting place

At 51 this was my first bucket experience, and it didn't disappoint. Food was hot, good portions and price beats competition for family is 5 fast food meals.

Absolutely Awkward Staff on a scale I've never seen. Couldn't take my order as I missed the microphone. Asked aren't you the guy at the till taking the order from the microphone, yes he replys. Asked if he could take my order face to face as there was no reason for me to drive around again as there was no queues, can't sorry company policy. The poor girl next to him could belive the stupidity of it. I asked why are you being awkward? The till is there, your the guy taking the order, can't we just solve this by you taking the order...no is the reply. I can't, company policy.... How come other KFCs are not awkward then and let this happen being pragmatic in these instances? What happens when the radio microphone doesn't work? I'm sorry but this is absolutely, ridiculously the height of stupidity to a scale I've never experienced. Impeccably Stupid situation and highly embarrassing for the company representation at the window tonight. Reputation for KFC Carmarthen is on the floor.

Service in this place is shocking. Waited 20 minutes and our food was still not ready. People ordered before us had Waited 30 minutes and still hadn't been served food. In the end I asked for a refund. The manager seemed shocked i was asking for a refund! My food was £19.99. I paid with £20 note. Never got the 1p change. Wasn't that bothered until je went to refund me £19.99. I told him I'd paid with £20 note and wasn't offered the 1p change. So he could give me back the £20 I'd paid with. The place is a mess. Not even a apology for there terrible service. So just returned to see if things have changed. Honestly don't know how this place is still open. Food is absolutely awful half a bag of fries had to go back around the drive through to get a full bag. There is no taste to the food. Staff don't seem to be bothered and look like they don't even know what there doing. Safe to say i won't be a returning customer and will not advise anyone to eat in this place. Bins overflowing and mess everywhere.

It has to be biggest group of spaks I’ve ever had the displeasure of being served by. Don’t think there’s 3 brain cells between the staff, i watched a guy unload my order from 1 bag to the other 3 TIMES! FOR NO REASON. And then watched it get cold on the side for 10 min because they didn’t have chicken ready to go…. In kfc…. With 6 other people in there with me, max. I went to this place about several and despite a variety meal they only had drumsticks. This is ridiculous for a renowned brand. The staffs attitude was rude. They give me wrong order and overcharged me on multiple occasions. Need better staff. Very disappointing compared to other KFC stores.

Shocking place. Every time I go to pick up food for my dad in the drive thru, I’m told the tills are broken and I’ll have to come inside to order. This has happened 4-5 times in the past couple months. And every time, they haven’t closed the drive thru. What was supposed to be a quick food pick up turned into me waiting 45 minutes in store for my food! The place wasn’t busy at all, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen KFC busy because it’s filthy inside, the floor is caked in grease, they don’t clear the tables, there’s mushy food on the floor, it’s just gross. 45 minute wait for an order I already placed on the app for drive thru, there were 2 people up front, one was clearly new, and the other showing the new employee what to do, then a bunch of other staff in the back just chatting and laughing away. Went again not too long after thinking it’ll be better, but I was wrong. I go to the drive thru every time but the past few times I’ve had to come Inside and wait over 30 minutes each time. The last time I went through the drive thru where I wasn’t made to come inside and order, they made me pull into a bay (understandable because I had a big order) when the 2 men came out with my food and drinks, I told them they’ve gave me the wrong drink and that I ordered Pepsi max not 7up and he said with a lot of attitude something about how that’s not what my receipt says, when in fact my receipt did say Pepsi max. Shocking attitude, shocking service and absolutely disgusting atmosphere. 9 times out of 10 they get something wrong or cause an absolute inconvenience. Not even going to mention how appalling the food is.

Very slow service 25/6/2024@12 mid dayish , only one in store order before which was small and one drive through also small. Drink 7 up tasted absolutely shocking seems as though mix was wrong as machine was playing up did know til already left chucked it out. Sincerely hope that this place improves as worst service for around 8 yrs(only go once at start of holiday ) if this was my First time would not go back.

I came here yesterday for a family meal on the road expecting a typical kfc experience but was met with Crystal clear comms at the drive through, instant food at the window once I got there and food was piping hot with excellent customer service. Only down side was the morning after my toilet new about it yet the food was great.....

Had the misfortune to pop in for a quick snack. The time we ate KFC was almost 20 years ago in West Sussex. Today we realised why. Food is over priced. Over salty and bins over filled with rubbish. £16.00 for 2 meal deals. We had to ask for fries to be cooked without the salt. As they were covered in them and we could not eat them. The freshly cooked ones were also as bad. Over seasoned and horrid. Only came here as queue for McDonald's was right up the road. Wish we hadn't bothered. Won't ever visit a KFC ever again.

Ordered a family bucket and 2 coleslaw sides. Got the chicken, 4 portions of cold chips, 1 coleslaw not 2, 2 corn on the cob not ordered and a pot of gravy not ordered. I've never had a decent meal from this kfc. It's the worst kfc I've ever been to, Carmarthen deserves better.

The food was very good, much improved from my last visit. The portion sizes seem to have got a lot smaller. Not so good was the very long wait for the food, it wasn't that busy either.

Queued to order vegan burger with drink, which was clearly visible on the boards above/behind the tills, including price, only to be told "we don't do that"! Pardon, it's on the board, plain as day. "Yeah, but we don't do that". Right, can you offer us anything vegan or vegetarian? "No". Well, seeing as I'm vegetarian, possibly going to go vegan, eating at KFC is no longer an option. Yes, I know what the "C" stands for, but other similar businesses have adapted to cater for vegans/vegetarians. And KFC could also do if they wanted.

We went to the drive thru today and we horribly dissapointed. Our order was wrong and items were missing, plus a staff member was rude. We ordered 2 Trilogy boxes, with coleslaw as the side. Plus 2 orders of Zinger wings. After we had paid we were informed that there was no coleslaw. We changed the sides to one of beans and one of gravy. We were checking our order when a woman working in the store shouted at me through the window to move away from the window as she needs to close it. Her manner was very curt and rude. Unacceptable customer service. When we parked up and opened our meals we discovered that the gravy had been replaced by mash.No dips were included.There was only one order of Zinger wings. The chips were old and the Pepsi was flavourless. Never again KFC Camarthen - shocking customer service and failure to deliver a full and correct order.

Drove down ordered 2 banquet boxes,got home the orange tango tasted or sour vinegar and in my box it was disgusting and my portion of chips comprised of 8 chips which were stone cold,I will never eat there food again

Last time we came here, food was good and place was clean, but it’s gone downhill. I had a rice box which was ok but the chicken in husbands meal needed to be reheated. They couldn’t serve hot drinks and had run out of salt. There was food on floor and seats, but worst of all were the toilets…. Not cleaned in days, both mens and womens. Disgraceful and will not visit again!

The staff are helpful, the menu is straightforward. Remember to ask for which sauce(s) you would like to be included in or you'll either get random or all the same one (might not be to your liking).

Guy on drive through miserable no manners wot so ever

Haven't been to KFC for ages and won't be going back. Cold, soggy old chips and chicken! Very disappointing!

First visit since shop refit. Shouldn't have bothered as food quality is still poor. No queue but still a lack of customer care.

Travelled to purchase a drive through. Unable to complete drive through as "till was frozen" Went in-store and placed order on touch screen, this was unable to provide a receipt. Getting home after receiving order found it incomplete on an of almost £80. Shocking experience and very poor. Most likely will never use Carmarthen KFC again. Tried calling them, however as well as being unable to complete an order they are unable to answer the phone after 5 attempts. Turns out their head office equally unable to handle customer complaints or phone calls.

When we arrived that was a big cue of people waiting to order it took so long to order from the counter and people were literally leaving because it was taking so long and loads of staff were joking around and not taking peoples orders this took so long to get the actual food however the food is good

Absolutely shocking customer service, you can stand at the counter to ask a question and completely get ignored. Whilst i waited to order a krusham for over 30 min because it wasn't displayed on the kiosks, every customer who collected their food had an issue of some sort. You had one bloke running around with his head on fire, taking food to the cars. The other who didn't take is eyes of the serving hatch. It seems like KFC priority is with the drive-through. Ended up walking out in the end !

New drive thru layout not very clear, lack of signage to explain you now need to stop and talk not order through window. When getting to the window the member of staff was so poor at explaining it was easier to just drive back around. Once food finally ordered, paid (same window you used to order at) and went to collection window (not ready) no big deal but when the food came out to the car no forks and no napkins, fine until you try and eat beans or coleslaw. We stopped going inside this KFC sometime ago as the cleanliness was awful, now it seems the drive thru is getting worse too. 3* Food Rating displayed.

Supposedly a £300,000 refurbishment... and yet no coffee working machine. The self-service machines not working. And there's a bucket catching the drips from the drinks machine! So well worth the money? The only good things were the fries and zinger tower.

Every single time there's something wrong with my order. The wrong items, the wrong number of pieces of chicken, sauces are unavailable after I've already paid for them. I've finally learnt my lesson, I'll go somewhere else in future.

When we arrived, staff were emptying bins and most tables were full, which was nice to see. We quickly made an order on the touchscreen machines, which unfortunately didn't give us a receipt. We explained that we did need receipts, but we were told "These machines don't give receipts." We explained that we needed receipts since we need to claim back the food. The lady went into the office to get who seemed like the manager, and a man wearing a grey hoodie emerged, and asked us why we needed receipts, to which we explained to him. After a bit of back and forth, he realized he could print the receipts out in the drive thru queue, which we thanked him for. The original lady we spoke to then opened a 2l bottle of Pepsi Max on the front desk in front of everyone and carefully filled up our cups. I wasn't aware that's how KFC served their drinks, but there we are. We left with our food, then ate it about 5 mins later, at which point the food was cold, but this could have been our fault. The chips were soggy and fatty and the burger buns were hard. I have left photos of the burger I ordered because as far as I'm concerned, lettuce isn't yellow. Very disappointed, definitely not going to another KFC unfortunately.

My mum used the toilets here, and she immediately had to hold her breath while peeing, the smell was horrendous. The only food that served hot are the chips and gravy... The beans were missing from the Mexican rice order. The whole place looks dirty and the bins were visibly overflowing with rubbish. She likes KFC but not in Carmarthen. Bad service everytime.

New look KFC what can I say went drive through not sure about the new speaker post but did seem staff were quicker ordered the double bucket which we really enjoyed chicken tasted fresh and good staff seemed organised and the gravy was out this world 10 out of 10 from me

We used the drive through service, the staff were nice, but the food was greasy, and seemed as if the items were scrabbled together from a limited choice, ie chicken pieces were small with batter hanging off them, drumsticks were slimy. The dip we ordered was left out. To be honest put me off kfc for a while.

Every table has food remnants, either food itself or tray/wrappers. No one is clearing or cleaning the tables. Food and rubbish on the floor. Toilets don’t look as though they’ve been cleaned or inspected for days. Not sure why customers can’t clear away after themselves, but if not…staff aren’t doing it either & it’s not busy either.

A recent KFC convert so pleased to find this branch on a regular commute. Friday evening wasn’t the best experience-no loo roll in toilets, no serviettes in dispenser, took an age to receive my order. No hot drinks and when I asked was told machine out of order-was the same story just over a month ago. The person serving didn’t seem to want to be there-undoubtedly as he was the only one out the front. I understand that places are short staffed and he was up against it but come on KFC-sort these issues out! Will be going to Dominoes the next time I’m passing through!

Food was delivered very fast. Vibe was excellent. The staff were having a karaoke battle in the back. We got such classics as toto africa and video killed the radio star.

I wondered why it only had a 3 star food hygiene rating, but when you see the just how filthy it is inside, 3 I'd probably being generous! Didn't look like it had been cleaned in a month.

Just had the boneless banquet. It was pukka! Service was good but Only trouble is the till went down in the drive thru, so i had to go inside. Indeed everything including the kiosks were down apart from 1 till. They had loads of orders on screen from takeaways etc to make and 1 till and ubereats to take order's from, and on a Friday night too. After each transaction the till would freeze and would have to be re set. Fair play to the guys and girls serving that evening they were under pressure. One employee came out into the queue and layed it out plain and said the systems are severly down and the wait would be long. 2 star rating was for tills being broke. But it Was worth the 20 odd min wait though. Kfc need to invest in pensarn alot in my view. Even in the drive thru window there are the remains of an LCD screen sitting there neglected with paper menu's. Cmon kfc help your staff work for you.

When we arrived it wasn’t particularly busy, a few people waiting, that’s all. We went to order on the touchscreen to find that the maintenance door was open on the printer, so we ordered at another machine which didn’t give us a receipt either. All the tables were dirty and we had to clean ours from the previous customers crumbs. The floors weren’t much better either. We ordered two box meals and a child’s meal, but the wait was around 20 minutes. It didn’t seem like any of the customers were getting their food anytime soon. When the food did arrive it was ok, fairly average but at least we got everything we ordered unlike other KFCs. The soap dispenser in the baby changing unit was empty. I went to wash my hands in the men’s bathroom only to find the hand dryer didn’t work in there. Overall it was an average experience in a restaurant that clearly needs a good clean and an update.

When we arrived the store at about 1815 0n Monday 14th Aug 23 it was quiet with only a few people in the restaurant and no cars at the drive through. On entering we immediately saw that the floor was dirty with food debris evident at many tables. Much of the furniture was jaded and was well worn. The bin nearest the door inside the store was overflowing. On ordering it was evident to us that the server had no interest of being at work at that moment. There were no hot drinks available and we settled for what we ordered. The serviette dispenser was empty and a few were left out at the collection point, We had to clean our table before we could collect our order. The chicken was cooked but the coating was all but slimy and not crisp as usual. I used the toilet facilities just to wash my hands but found the gents floor really wet, the hand drier was not working. On leaving I piled our limited litter on top of the very full bin and had to carry my drinks container outside as their was no room in that bin. Outside the two bins next to the drive through entrance were also full. My wife did not enjoy her 'wrap' and had to leave most of it. We left what was our nearest KFC thinking that hell would freeze over before we would ever venture to return. Worst experience ever!!!

I haven’t been to a KFC in quite a while and after this experience I won’t be rushing back. We ate in at 3.30 pm on 12th August. We both tried the teriyaki burgers. Every table in there was dirty and I had to ask for ours to be cleaned before we could eat. The guy doing it didn’t then think to clean other tables and went back behind the counter. The food came quickly. The chicken was overcooked and dry, the sauce was way too sweet and there was too much of it. The chips were some of the worst I’ve ever had in any fast food restaurant. A bad experience and I won’t return.

Ignored for ages at the first window so drove round to the second assuming I had made a mistake (as I was first in a queue I didn’t want to make others wait while I was being silly!) When I got to the staffed window, I was told by a clearly annoyed staff member that “someone was just coming!” and I now had to go back round. I told her that would put me to the back of the queue and she exasperatingly said “well it’ll only be two secs!” I declined to go back round as I had to get somewhere quickly. I can see this issue happens often from other reviews! Perhaps a sign on the first window to let people know you’re aware they’re waiting… or just don’t completely ignore people for at least 5 mins and then get annoyed they assumed they were mistaken in waiting there by a window looking into an empty corridor! No apology from the staff member either.

Twice I've been here and twice the coffee machine isn't working

Not great. Food was just edible but wouldn’t go back. Staff looked disinterested, this I would be down to poor training and management. I wouldn’t recommend this KFC at the moment.

Arrived around 22.15 so couldn't sit in. Couldn't have what we wanted as not enough chicken cooked. However the manager was very helpful & we had a combination of chicken pieces so no one went hungry. Parked in the car park to eat but boy racers were revving up all around. Not threatening but annoying.

Had to clean tables prior to using them ourselves. Large amount of dropped food on floor and packaging below tables rendering them unusable. Toilets dirty and window ledges filthy. Last time we visit its a health hazard.

Very slow service and tiny portions sizes .The staff are happy to serve you tiny pieces of original chicken that were smaller than the hot wings and the staff are not willing to give you a replacement must of been a tiny chicken that day. Fast food is not cheap anymore so you would think you be getting value for money but your not. Go to a local takeaway and give them your business not these franchises.

Poor Food Poor Service worst fast food chain in carmarthenshire

When I got the bargain bucket I thought the chicken had just come from an archaeological dig site... The chicken was burnt to such a degree that it was nearly fossilised. When you are paying £30 for a family meal you would expect better than this.

All the teenage staff are more interested in talking to each other and messing about than actually doing their job. Took over 20 mins for a simple order when hardly anyone else was in there. Half the food sitting there for ages before they bothered to bag it up. When our order finally arrived, got back to car, checked and found a few things wrong, had to go back to get it corrected, no apology given and barely a word spoken. Some of the food was also cold and not edible. Won’t be using again.

This used to be a nice KFC but it's gone really downhill. Full of kids who as I heard from one this evening "don't care if they get fired". I pulled up to the window and sat there for 5 minutes waiting. Nobody came to the window and no one was visible through it. So eventually I drove to the next window only to be told I now had to drive back round. My order was incorrect when I received it. I was not given any salt or wet wipes with my food nor did I receive a receipt. The gravy in my box meal was 3 hours past it's sell time. The bins in the car park were all brimming with rubbish. I will try not to go there again. If you are looking for a nice KFC try Cross hands or Glyneath!
