KFC in Southend-on-Sea

Terrible packing for our Wicked Variety Bucket.Product looks like it was just thrown in without considering that as a sharer we might like to identify each element.Poor customer service too.What a waste of £25 hard earned pounds

Avoid this kfc, absolutely awful food, service and hygiene. order always wrong food always cold needs new management In this branch have nothing nice to say, disgusting in every way possible

Everything was a really good experience until I went to collect my food, there was a very dirty boy called George who handed me my food seemed to be covered in flour

Food was good. Tables are all dirty, no workers were bothering to clean them so me and my two sons had to eat on a dirty table.

Rubbish service!!!! Incompetent staff. We shouldn't have to check our order before leaving! They more than often give us the wrong order

I had to go through the drive through twice to place my order. When I explained this to the manager Frank he said that’s how it works its a drive through. He as to pull forward and park in the card park. I declined as I had already waited a long time having to drive through twice. He told me my order was cancelled. I asked for a refund he shut he window and walked away. I waited, eventually my meal arrived. I asked his name he said, Frank but would not give his surname. he then called me a geriatric. Do not use, long waits, cold chips and rude staff.

Went to KFC yesterday and the restaurant not even busy, unbelievable 40 minutes wait for only 3 burgers and 1 bucket, absolutely unacceptable!!!!! Never again unless you got time to.waste

56 reviews on this establishment with 46 of them rating the lowest (TERRIBLE), Only 2 on Excellent, none for good and the other 8 just above TERRIBLE. What does that say to you? I went in to test drive their Vegan burger as I have not been in a KFC for over 10 years, because basically the service is shoddy at best. I purchased a drink and a portion of large fries. To be honest the burger hit the OK mark, it was edible and had some flavour. Needed a bit more salad inside but that would probably mean a penny more off their profit margins. The fries came in two halves, one of them was warm and the other cold. I was going to take th.back but being a complaining Vegans sadly I could not trust what they would do in my own opinion and experience. So I ate most of the warm chips and left the rest. Considering there was only a couple.of people in for lunch it is an extremely poor show not to serve hot chips. The other reviews all have similar experiences so it appears to be this particular establiment's modus operandi. One can also draw from the lack of response that they just don't care about what their customers say because they cannot even be bothered to reply to some of the concerns. i may pop back in another 10 years but not as it stands. Plenty of other places that value their customers and actually cook their food to edible temperatures.

Shocking customer service with rude employees, waited for 40 minutes just to get a couple of pieces of chicken and chips. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

So after working a 10 hour Shift, and finishing at 10.15pm my husband who is very unwell (cancer) phoned me and asked me to get him a tower burger (he hasn’t been eating of late due to the cancer and is under a dietitian, so I jumped at the chance at getting him a burger) I went through the drive through, I was served quickly but when I pulled up to pay and collect our food, there was a member of staff in a coat with there bag taking food out of the hot plate ovens and placing it into her black holdall bag….now to me that is Unhygienic having someone wearing outdoor clothing touching surfaces etc in a working kitchen, especially with covid 19 is going on and is still rife… germs that would of been on her coat while she was walking around the kitchen while other staff are cooking and handling food for orders… Face coverings where not worn properly, noses where on show. Then when I got home which is a 4min drive, the burgers where stone cold the edges where hard, and they went straight in the bin. Will never eat from there again…..

Ordered through deliveroo and the order delivery time kept getting longer and longer. Order finally arrived an hour and a half after it should have been delivered. One whole meal was missing and the meal that came wasn't correct either and despite finally getting through to the restaurant on the phone, we were told we had to speak to deliveroo and reorder the food. It was far too late to reorder and wait for another delivery and just said to the lady on the phone 'but you didn't send the food' she just said phone deliveroo that's all we can do and hung up. Deliveroo refunded the money for the missing food straight away. Won't be using that KFC again.

Shocking service. 25 min wait for mediocre food. Time bandits. Didn’t have time to eat in when they eventually served us.

This KFC is pretty poor, I’ve been several times (not since renovation) but in 4/5 orders I have made, there has been at least one error. I’ve never had to wait long like in the other reviews. If I’ve ordered in house or drive through, but deliveries have taken a long time and I’ve been close by. I hope it gets better soon as when it’s done right it’s great, but I’ve been very disappointed in the last few visits. I even tweeted KFC about my last order which had no sauce, the wrong side and dry chicken.

Place needs shutting down! KFC once upon a time was okay not anymore there all dumps the foods rubbish then to add insult to injury they only sell disgusting drinks AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Decided to give the new KFC refurbished restaurant a go. Walked in. Bin was over flowing. Tables had dirty trays on them. Went to order which was fine. Now, let the 40 minute wait commence. In those 40 minutes people that were also waiting, their orders were incorrect. A man had to go back up 3 times as they got his order wrong 3 times. Lady had been waiting for a tea for 30 minutes. A tea!!! They finally came out to change the over flowing bin! I understand they are rushed of their feet with eat ins, drive through, take aways and delivery drivers but better organisation is needed. Felt so terrible for the young lady that had to deal with the angry customers. Our food finally came which was the best part. It was actually cooked very well. Quite nice. Not too greasy. It was just the wait for me which was too long. Rather drive to Rochford and get KFC there.

Having spent a year in isolation, met a friend for a KFC and a catch-up. Sat in our cars for safety and finally went in to collect takeaway. Sat in cars and eat and chatted for a couple of hours. Weeks later got parking ticket, but only one of us!! Regardless of spending £20 in KFC! Disgraceful!!

After a busy day my wife decided she wanted some chicken so went to the drive threw. All she wanted was the 3 pice chicken so simple you would think. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty, You can see the dirt on all the food prep and storage areas, and also taste the dirt in the air (whole place just smells of re-used cooking oil). Sales assistants are rude and they do not look clean or presentable at all; coughing over food and just look like they slept in their work clothes and just woke up and came into work. Its the dirt that gets to me. The whole place looks grimey. Nothing in that place looks clean. You cant even see through the perspex glass that is used to store cooked chicken because it so greasy. Needs shutting down and starting over.

Pointless to join up to their app to earn rewards , i earnt one for a fiver off one for a side dish and another one. Was told i cant use all three meaning they expected me to spend even more money to use them , even though it was in date until 2019 they told me the barcode was invalid so couldn't use any of them. On top of all this the manager was very rude about it.

I waited half an hour for three Oreo Krushems. While I was waiting in the queue for the drive through there was a car infront for ages waiting on a massive order (why didn't they just park them up??!).

Absolutely disgusting staff, from the outset the staff were loud and rude to customers and fellow staff alike. When ordering some ‘snack boxes’ for my girlfriend and I we were asked “ which ones? There’s like 4 ya could have.” After proceeding to ask what ones they had to offer the staff member rolled their eyes before stating them in a condescending and sarcastic manner.

Having visited this Kfc service was ok considering its run by a load of children I was in shock when I returned to my vehicle and everything I ordered was in the bags or so I thought The new trick now seems to be fill the popcorn chicken boxes with fries rather than chicken Thank you very much for ruining a little treat for my kids !

Went here for a quick lunch ended up here for 3 times the amount off time it should of taken to say the service was slow is a understatement and its not like it was busy ! considering the 2 main things KFC sells is Chicken and chips you would think they would know what to do by now but somehow it seems they have the staff made up of a 6 year olds playgroup

To me the successful essence of a drive through is all about speed. Here the KFC on Southend's Greyhound estate has not both singularly failed, but their erstwhile staff do not see to have even the wit to realise that is the point of their existence.
