KFC in West Dunbartonshire

Absolutely awful, tiny portions and the price is not justifiable. Waited over 30 mins in the drive thru queue and it just was not up to standard. Very disappointed. Couldn’t even order in store as it was drive thru only so I assume they are short staffed - even so, food was very very poor. Will not be back in the Dumbarton Branch - the inside is absolutely filthy.

Never again, so unsatisfactory cleanliness. Tables not clear. Trays left on tables and at bin area. Bin bag overflowing. Trodden chips on floor at serving hatch. No spoon or fork given with rice dish. Only had knifes!!!! 1 member of staff refusing to clean up mess in cordoned off area, saying she'll be sick if she has to clean it!!!! 1 person walked in after us and after about7 mins of not getting served, walked out.

Stay clear the place is dreadful service very poor food sitting to long so hard staff miserable and rude and toilets and restaurant are well below standard

Twp cats in front of me on the drive through but still took 30 minutes to get served. A three piece chicken meal was 2 x small wings and a tiny overcooked drumstick. This place should be a goldmine to the owners but very poor staff and scrimping on the portion sizes ruins this business. I'll go to Clydebank in future.

We have the app clearly says £11.99 for a 6 chicken cost us £15.99 anytime we go there there's always problems worst kfc ever

The staff walk around like zombies. Never experienced any sort of polite customer service. Waiting times are ridiculous. Save yourself a trip.

To be fair, unlike others they do get my order correct. But.... The place is still filthy, waiting times are Terrible, drive through or walk in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

after a lovely weekend of exploring the Scotland, we noticed there was no KFC up north as one of my good friends needed one to focus, unfortunately we had to wait all weekend. However it came very needed after a walk up Ben Nevis and the start of the drive home, upon arriving we walked in to a horrible stench consisting of rotting food and human extract, this was not enough to put us off are needed KFC. we entered deeper into the unknown, entering the toilet, the cubical door had no lock, the floor was sticky, and worse of all it STUNK. pushing through this we went to order, after waiting for an everlasting 15 minutes in the smelly KFC we finally received are food, two different burger boxes, both had the wrong chicken and the burger wasn’t in one. After sorting this easily made mistake we went to the car (as it smelt to bad inside) to eat are food. The gravy had a layer of film on top and was lumpy, very unpleasant. to make it even worse both burgers where overcooked and burnt. This issue left me and my mate very unhappy and ruined a good week which was going well. Thanks a lot KFC DO NOT VISIT

half of my delivery was missing, and they wont answer calls so i can report this problem, not the first we have had problems with this place.

I'd left this place a glowing review yesterday, as I'd done a year previously. The service was good considering there were clearly too few staff and the food tasted great...until... Shortly after eating it and having had only a bowl of porridge that day and no problems whatsoever, I ended up with to put it politely, the "ability to crap through the eye of a needle". It's ongoing...has been all night and morning - today's forecast is definitely more of the same. I've spent more time in the toilet in these last twenty four hours than moaning Myrtle. I'm expecting a letter of complaint from Northumbrian Water in the next week or so. Avoid, unless you feel that you could use a severe clear out.

Tables filthy, bins overflowing, I was the only person in!!! Management needs looked at, would never return, health hazard!!

Waited far too long to be served and even longer for our meal, the staff were shouting and swearing behind counter and were incredibly rude and ignorant to customers who also waited over 30 minutes on their meal. Was planning on sitting in but every table was so dirty and rubbish all over the floor across the restaurant. Shocking.

One job! Make a burger up, it’s not a hard job to do but to only give me a bit of chicken in a dry but is shocking I asked for a zinger tower and got a bit of chicken in a dry bun- friend’s warned me it’s went way down hill - I should have listened I won’t be going back to this s*ite hole of a place

Place is an absolute shambles and needs to be closed down. Its extremely under staffed. Customers can wait 20mins just to get served then wait half an hour for thier food. Delivry drivers ive seen waiting for 45 mins to pick up a delivery ! They coffee and tea machine isnt working. The toilets are filthy minging with pish everywhere !!! The staff cancel peoples deliveries behind the managers back cos they are busy. Peoples food gets chucked to the side and left for 20 mins while the delivery driver waiting is standing at the counter waiting for it..... absolute joke with no management at all. Place shouldnt be closed to public !

We went and our first impressions was dirty and that was proven as soon as we went inside. The toilet we disgusting, smelly, the taps were broken so water went everywhere. In the ladies toilet the toilet role holder was broken , none of the taps or hand dryers worked. So as we went to order we tried to get the attention of one of the employees to order she told us that she “ was to busy to serve us” as she was prioritising the drive through and delivery’s. We thought the attitude of the employees was appalling and we couldn’t imagine what the kitchen was like as we saw what the public area was like. The floors felt like the washed with wd40 which made our exit even faster as we skated out the door to macdonalds next door. Never going there again!!!!!

Was very hungry on what was previously a great evening ruined by the incredibly slow service. A half an hour wait until giving in and leaving, when there was only one person in front of me. Ridiculous, wouldn’t recommend or ever go again.

Hands down the best KFC we've ever had. Got a Zinger Burger meal and a Zinger Stacker meal, went large and everything was absolutely top notch. Plenty of fries, the chicken was as fresh, tasty and grease free as it gets. Actually looked like the advert Fast, courteous service and excellent food. Spotless restaurant and a perfect stop on our way home from the Highlands.

Visit with family 9th March. Restaurant was cold. The toilets smelled of stale urine The service was slow despite the restaurant being empty Took 5 minute to be served and another 6 minutes for the food to arrive.

Visited on the 7th March 2020 about 8pm,we were served by a young man named Ryan,Ryan was an excellent host,took our orders quickly,also had the mind to separate the meals onto separate trays for the kids and for myself and my wife's.Food was good and quickly served up.Restraint was clean and tidy.

First time I went in with my girlfriend and the food was okay, nothing special but not bad either. Simply put it was what one would expect from a fast food place, that said the girl who served us was just plain...awkward. Second time I went in I was served buy a guy called Chris and he was very helpful and polite. When we left even my girlfriend mentioned how lovely he was.

First of all I was shortchanged £1 and had to ask for the shortfall. When I went to the table I said to my partner "I bet we now get a cut down order because I didnt let him rip me off for a £1" thats me being cynical but with good reason. I am 60 years old I have seen this before many times staff taking offence because they were pulled up. Ordered 2 big daddy meals as I always do and have done on at l;east 30 occasions. Side order of gravy as per usual. Meal was ready quicker than I have ever know (2mins approx). Burgers didnt look usual size but thought nothing of it until I took a bite....we both agreed something wasnt quite right. It took a few bites to realise there was no hash brown or bacon in the burgers just a lump of chicken? As we had already eaten half the burger I didnt feel entitled to ask for another but I knew I would complain. Then opened the gravy to pour some on my burger and it literally splashed out....it was as thin as water....never ever had it so bad. At the end of the meal I complained to the guy who served me and poured the gravy into my empty drinks carton he said immediately "its like water hang on" he went in the back and I waited and waited and waited and he returned with the chef who asked what was wrong so I told him half the burger was missing and gravy like water. They said nothing and went back to the kitchen then these two cowards sent out the wee girl who was working there to say "what do you actually want you have eaten the meal" I said to her "an explanation as to whats going on would be a start" I then asked for the head office address as I was getting nowhere.They all wandered about as though looking for it then suddenly a woman appeared. I am the manager, she said, but this is not my branch and I dont know where anything is. She admitted then that they had no bacon, agreed I should have been told and agreed I should have been given some sort of explanation and proceeded to offer me food. She should have offered me a discount of say £2 per meal and I would have been still unhappy but would have felt an effort had been made. She basically said she couldnt help any further. MERRY XMAS KFC!!!!I put a note up the lum asking santa for a BURGER KING in Dumbarton they sell the best burgers on the planet. My partner and I often do a 30 mile round trip on the train (we travel free) just to get a BK WHOPPER MEAL at Central Station Glasgow they are superb!

I like kfc food but unfortunately dumbarton branch is not the place to get it .The staff are average at best but the food itself seems overcooked and dry and on more than one occasion they have completely messed up the order , wrong meal or items missing .Very disappointing

My wife and I enjoy a good KFC but unfortunately this is not somewhere you are going to get one. The food is not well prepared and we have been ill more than once after eating here including after the last visit (the visits have been spread over a long period of time as we have always given a chance for improvement), the staff are not very professional or friendly, the tables are rarely clean and the bins are often overflowing. Overall this place just needs to be avoided at all costs.

Went through the drive through to order, spend over £20 to watch the staff LICK their fingers then touch the food, also picking their noses and not washing hands or wearing gloves whilst touching food. The girl with blue hair was the one licking her fingers. Also watched another boy in the kitchen with no protective clothes on or uniform on, prepping himself some food according to the head quarters, but I totally disagree. Food was just oily and barley cooked. Will never visit here again.

Guy in his 20's skinny and wears glasses he rip you off every single time he gives you wings instead of on the bone with a big daddy meal. Food and service is good apart from this joker.

Always absolutely disgusting. Been in three times and walked out each time as just don't have the confidence that my pregnant partner will be safe eating here. They really do need to invest more in cleaning staff. Can't comment on the food (though would love to have the chance)!

First time I've been to a KFC in years and wish I never stepped a foot in the door!. First impressions was dirty, staff very uninterested and looking miserable. My partner went to the toilet and came back out and told me there was faeces all over the toilet floors and walls etc. Toilet roll all.over the place. I told a girl behind the counter and she looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. The food came out looked like nothing on the board just fatty bits of chicken in grease. And the tiniest portions ever . Who ever is the manager at this place should be ashamed . You wonder why the place always looks deserted. Wont be back

So go round drive thu order two meals tower meal and mini fillet small chips and juice so sit for 10minz get to window no sorry for your wait just £10.80 pay it then told park in yellow box sit there for other 12minz to have a different staff member go there you go again no sorry for your wait then sees they forgotten my corn and have put both meals in box he then takes box back puts corn in same box really bad customer service very disappointed

This KFC is a very good place for quick and cheap meals either to sit in and clean and tidy also to take away either drive through or walking

Went in today to find out there was no salad. Fair enough. But chips were sogg and cold, rice box was pathetic. Tiny bit of chicken and rice stuffed into a box. Really not happy. Dumbarton kfc have lost a regular 2 customers after today.

Every time I go through the drive through here something is wrong.... usually something little, last night my entire meal was wrong :( also, they quite often don’t have gravy. How is it KFC without GRAVY!!! Just make sure you check your meal before driving off!

My family ordered from the drive thru. Person was courteous taking the order but when we got the food we discovered we were missing a chips and an ice cream . 2 cokes were absolutely rank, the syrup had clearly ran out . Food was okay, the batter could have been slightly crispier on the chicken .

What is the point of having a drivethru if the staff can't take a simple order without making a mistake...

Food always good service fast staff polite good value.KFC Dumbarton is ideal for a visit especially if you are pushed for time as service is always fast. Enjoyed a meal here last week would reccomend.

Walked in entrance bins overflowing floor littered with bits of food staff taken from serving food at tills to empty bins and clean up toilet area stood for 10 minutes in queue with nobody serving ended up walking out and going to McDonald's where it wasn't much better I don't know why they call it fast food won't be back to either of them .

Like some of the other reviews some of the food we ordered was missing,I assumed at the time it was a one off but obviously not.Food we did have was lovely though and staff was helpful,it was the second visit to this KFC,we visited a year earlier when we stayed in nearby Aberfoyle.We will visit again whilst staying in Aberfoyle its easier than cooking on first night.

The kids like the popcorn chicken so we end up here now and again, the food is ok but the service is absolutely awful! Not once have I received an order that was correct or didnt have something missing, the staff are totally clueless and dont really care whatsoever about the customers!

Having recently moved to the area, this was our 1st visit to this KFC. We had a drive through for a quick lunch after shopping in the retail park. One of our meals was just the basic fillet burger - the meat was so tough/overcooked - it was inedible. After taking it inside, it was swapped for a new burger (Meanwhile fries etc going cold in car). There was no compensation in the way of vouchers off next meal or some extra sides...nothing. Also when inside it wasn't very busy for a Saturday lunch time and there wasnt food ready on the hot plates/rails behind - Maybe this is known to the locals for poor quality food and this is the reason this KFC is not busy. The new burger that was given was ok, although the southern fried coating was mostly missing on one side of the chicken fillet. Drinks and fries were fine, not too difficult to go wrong though. We will not return to this KFC anytime soon based on the poorly cooked chicken.

Went today as last visit food was good .got boneless chicken strips which on box said they were breaded but infact they were battered and the batter was so hard i was frightened i broke my teeth .

Wouldn't go back. Used to look forward to going, portion size has been reduced a lot recently. But not prices.

....never again...used their drive through and ordered mighty box for one and got it in a small bag...when I open the bag, it was full of dark brown crispy chicken...so I went in and spoke to manager and told him to look at the bag of chicken I just received and he straight away swap it for a more fresher pieces of chicken...when he came back he told me they were all the same colour due to the oil not being changed for a week he said...he offered to give my money back and I took it back without any hesitation. I think at that point sveral more customers started complaining about the same thing...Put me off kfc for a while.

If you like KFC and are in Dumbarton come down to the St James Retail Park. It is near to the town centre and close to several retail outlets. The parking is good and everything is wheelchair accessible. Service is quick and the food hot and tasty. Staff are friendly. Avoid the school lunch hour as it is popular for them and service is considerably slower.
