Was ok wait ages for your order even once you order through the app and still manage to get things wrong I'm not driving back to get it

Been using Pontypool KFC for many years. But found over time the branch was not as good anymore. Our last visit we were ignored even though there was 3 members of staff behind the counter, untill my wife asked if anyone was serving. We then ordered a 10 piece bargain bucket. When we got home we found that the was only 2 portions of chips and not 4, and out of the 10 pieces of chicken, there was one wing, one breast and 8 legs. We use to get a good mix of chicken pieces. We have also found the chips we did have had to much seasoning on them. We wont be using pontypool KFC again sadly.

Really tasty food and didn't have to wait was ready there and then, the best KFC I have had in ages,the store was super clean, and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, keep up the amazing work supplying that finger licking chicken we all love, definitely will be back ❤️❤️❤️

Bloody horrible place in the drive though the bin stinks we waited 40 minutes got to counter and had too wait again nobody came to the order had to wait again and when we went to pick order up and they said we had to wait again bloody terrible I will not go to that horrible place again

Worst KFC I’ve been too used the drive popped inside to add more to my order but they wouldn’t let me use card in my he store even though I had just used card to pay for my food at the drive through. Sophie the manager was no help whatsoever and made me out to be the bad person. Really is the worst KFac I’ve been too with travelling the whole Of the uk. Just sucks it’s my local to where I live 🤦🏼‍♂️

Ordered food for delivery at 6.25pm 9.00pm still no food. Can’t get through to phone number. They got our money mind. Not even a call to apologise for this. We then had to go to local shop to buy pizza as children were absolutely starving. Will never order from them again. Just hope we get our money back

We placed an order for delivery at 18.25, told it would be with us by 19.00. Then informed no driver so would be later. 21.00 no meal, children were starving so had to go to local shop for pizzas. Can’t get through to KFC. (No local telephone number) At 21.20 seen that they put down meal delivered at 19.25. Total lies, we have been in and children watching out of window for their meal. So absolutely no delivery made. Not sure how we’ll go about getting our money back but I do know we’ll never order from there again

After ordering the new buckets 2 for £11 odd i decided to park up and eat with the family as i was eating my daughter pointed put the person who had served me food gone out for a fag and continued to dig at this nose like a coal miner and blow it out onto his hands and rub it into his uniform it made my stomach turn and made me double think about buying kfc again (big guy curly hair and beard) also was not wearing any protective gear on his hair or beard 🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

Not all the staff but most are not nice and the food takes ages not even worth coming to cwmbran kfc is 10 times better will not come here again

Call yourself fast food!! I ordered at 7pm, estimated delivery time 7.30pm, then 7.45pm, then 8.15pm, then 8.50pm....no way to cancel on Just Eat app!!!!

Found a hair in the batter of my hotwing, which ended up in my mouth.

Waited nearly 40mins for food that was horribly dry and cooked at least 30 mins before I got it, I saw it on the shelf thing they put burgers on. Complained about time, all I got was a sorry did no one tell you there was a wait

They seemed extremely understaffed, but I still don’t think that’s an excuse for the view through the drive thru window. One employee was making my food and another seemed lost.. but neither one bothered to pick up the food off the floor in plain view and you can see how filthy the counters were. If the gent who served me wasn’t so friendly and clean looking I wouldn’t have felt comfortable eating the food.

This place lives up to the standard of finger licking chicken. Best chicken around. Service was amazing and they catered to all my needs. I will be visiting again

One of the best kfc I’ve visited, cleanliness was 10/10, mine and my partners food was lovely, 100% recommend! Staff really attentive and a great laugh! Will definitely revisit

Took a trip to pontypool kfc yesterday, was super pleased with the Customer service received, the staff was so helpful and well mannered. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the place, looks like a brand new store. Will definitely be back soon!

I want everyone thinking about visiting this store to seriously reconsider ! If you have any loved ones or family members with disabilities do not come to this establishment !!! A manager made some disgusting remarks about disabled individuals and I want the whole world to know this. I really hope the other lady nearby corroborates this story and comes forward. And if she also works there she should be ashamed of herself too

Just ordered a mighty bucket for one. Likely to be my last I feel. Food awful, looked more tired than I did and served up by someone who appeared to have lost the will to speak or even acknowledge my presence. I remember when KFC seemed a treat. Now it just brings nothing but a miserable experience and fat stains

Will never use this KFC again 1 meal had 8 chips The bun on the burger was solid like it had been left out all day and 2 pieces of lettuce plus all 4 meals were stone cold what a waste of £35

Sorry, is this a Fast Food Restaurant? If you work as a food courier I wouldn't bother picking up from here. My goodness they have no idea what they are doing. Horrendous staff management (if any), clueless staff that like to lean on worktops with a look of wonderment as to "Where am I?" Laughable would be my one word review.

Food (boneless banquet for 1) hot and reasonably tasty meat, although fries were only warm and not crispy. Service - poor. The young server person at the hatch got my order slightly wrong x 2.....ice in pepsi instead of no ice....rice given as the side instead of sweetcorn/cob. Managed to exchange the pepsi but my order was delivered to my car after a cooking hiatus...mistake discovered once underway and I couldn't be bothered to go back and change it...especially in the pouring rain. No rain cover/awning or shelter at the drive through paying or collection point...server person didn't want to put her arm out of the window for me to pay by card... so I got wet twice. Thx! My impression, rightly or wrongly, was that the young person at the hatch was bored, inattentive and hence my less than positive remarks - sorry. But Merry Christmas anyway.

I ordered a Party Bucket for delivery for my Niece & Nephew and when my delivery arrived I only received the fries, I contacted Uber Eats and they refused to refund me, I phoned the Restaurant to complain and they were unhelpful & rude. I spent £40.99 on the food and £5.29.

Disappointed after we paid over £30 for a bucket of food to take home back to Abercarn and found that they had not included some of the food we ordered, one of which was my youngest son’s, who is 8. We divided the rest of the food best we could with what we had (the small party bucket £25 share between 4 of us and large popcorn chicken meal for youngest son), one of the pieces of chicken was a tiny piece of thigh- looked like a wing. We tried to make a complaint but realised we didn’t get a given a receipt either so couldn’t make a complaint. So moral of the story check your bag before you leave the establishment- I don’t see why customers have to do that it was literally a party bucket and one large pop corn chicken meal- you’d think with two things to remember they would have checked before handing over, we were just passing through and my bad for trusting they would check. In this market were money is tight, we thought it would be a nice treat for the family but all it was, was a waste of money and not enough food in the end.

The chicken was so overcooked and dry there wasn't even any fat left. That's what KFC is famous for. It just tasted like cardboard The service nonexistent. Overpriced crap. Not a customer in there or anyone using drive through at 6pm on a Sunday. Wish I found a local takeaway or Wetherspoons for a cheap away from home meal. I give up on the chain fast food restaurants. No longer value for money and the quality of food is just atrocious.

Thanks KFC I have a blc but that's no good have to use your app to get to use it. Pathetic when systems are down phones down networks down no fault of own . Provide a physical blc with date on can't use. If you fancy a KFC be prepared get an app use up more space and data on you phone so you can use your blc. Kf. It's not easiet

Food was ok, not the warmest The restaurant and toilet are not clean, especially the toilets yikes! The whole place has seen better days! Never seems to improve!

Visited Sunday afternoon, took over 40 mins to get our order. Clearly Deliveroo and Just Eat orders get priority over in-restaurant customer. Very poor. Tatty Retail Park too.

Cold soggy fries, luke warm coffee, dried out salty chicken, not an enjoyable meal, in fact it was expensive and disappointing.

Don't know why I give this place a 2nd and 3rd chance, each time the food is awful and its stale cold. Really don't understand what's wrong with the Pontypool branch, the staff need training on how to deal with the food and thier customers, and maybe learn to put a smile on their face when greeting people rather than making the atmosphere awkward and uncomfortable.

Service very slow despite the place being quiet. Only member of staff showing any interest was a young black chap working on the counter. Not clean, food remnants on the floor and waste stacked up on the recycling bins area. Food was warm but not particularly flavoursome.

Friendly staff, really clean, fast food!

Came around pontypool tonight, around 9pm, and the boy that handed my food out was such a pleasant boy. He’s the only one I’ve seen have a smile on his face here. He packed the food too which was hot and fresh. I come around quite a bit because my children love the popcorn chicken, and this has probably been one of the better visits.

Fast food with a difference at a reasonable price.

Absolutely useless staff, always forgetting half of my order. And they never answer the phone for me to tell them that my order is missing as I don’t drive so I can’t get down there and The gravy is always watery. The company is just a rip off. I will never ever get my food from there again. Such a disappointment.

Served this afternoon by a lovely polite girl, I asked could my meal consist of two legs and she did that for me where other kfcs have said they’re not allowed so will now make this one my go to. Cheers

I know kfc workers are slow but jesus wept! This is actually a joke, sat in the drive thru for 15 mins and there were only 3 cars on front of me!!!

Hit and miss. Will they have chicken today? Will they get my order right today? If you eat here you run the risk of either a perfect meal or abject misery. Today's just eat order of £65 was cancelled because they had no BBQ sauce. I had to drive to the store 2 hours after ordering to find that out

This has to be the very worst KFC I have had in the last twenty years I ordered 6 pieces of Chicken, all of which must have been in a warmer for hours it was absolutely uneatable. I live 8 miles away so it wasnt worth taking it back. I will never in my life buy KFC again as long as I live. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.

As the other fast food chain was very busy I decided to have my drivers break here, though my van was too high for the car park as it has a height restriction bar. I parked round the corner and walked over. The place was only occupied by 3 customers eating in the corner, every other table was empty, and looked dirty. I used the big ordering touch screens to order my drink and ice cream, the proceeded to the counter for collection. There i was informed that there was no ice cream and would I like a cookie instead, which I declined and had a refund for the ice cream. Why let me order something you don't have?? Not a great first experience and I notice from other reviews there are no replies to any reviews made from the staff here to apologise etc

Not even worth a 1 star review, absolutely filthy, terrible service. Management are a complete joke. Don’t waste your time going there.

This is possibly one of the worst places to eat. Expect that all tables were dirty although place is empty, the food was disgusting and not properly cooked. When complained they try to prove me wrong and crazy and did absolutely nothing. Now makes sense that place is empty and the negative reviews are more than the positives. And no vegetarian either. Definitely won't be coming back here.

Unfortunately my experience at the KFC wasn't good. First of all the main door was broken and the glass was replaced withe some wood. I got the tower burger and it was super salty. It was so bad that I couldn't finish it. The were out of ice for my drink. There was not paper recipe when I placed the order so I have no idea what my order number was. The service was good but that's the only good thing I can say about my trip at this time.

Called in to this so called KFC pig sty but that would be an insult to a pig. The entrance door was boarded up, I assume the glass was smashed, looked for somewhere to sit before ordering and couldn't find a clean table in the place. Food and containers still on tables from previous customers, and the few tables that didn't had dried up remnants of food that looked as if been there for days. Anyway took a chance and ordered two boneless banquets to take away, when I received and went back to car drove away to find somewhere more suitable to eat. Parked up in secluded area opened boxes to eat, well there were three scrawny chicken fillets a tiny bag of fries and the smallest carton of popcorn chicken I'd ever seen. The tub of gravy looked enimic this cost me for two boxes £19:99 which wasn't worth the 99p. To say I want be going back there is an understatement, dare try it at your peril.

Got a bit worried when I saw the reviews as I'd booked the nearby hotel and generally like KFC. Found the place to be more than adequate however: friendly service, standard KFC food and left very happy. A few rowdy people from time to time but actually I quite like the atmosphere and overall I like this KFC so will return if I stay at the hotel again.

First of all, my order was 14 pieces, it’s was very bad, and the staff very bad.

Got orders mixed up despite being told by manager three times to sort themselves out and get it right. Wouldn't accept Blue Light Card barcode from app. Contacted customer services via KFC Care Squad who were absolutely useless. Will never visit here again.

The food was very dry,but ok...however the service was appalling. The 2 ladies serving especially the one who I presume was the manager couldn't of cared less about customers....I had my bag of food literally thrown at me with no smile or no thanku!!!!! The one lady serving was more interested in having a very loud conversation with a customer.....

Always bad service and the employees are very sullen. It's like they work here without getting paid. In my opinion, it is the worst branch of KFC. I waited 20 minutes to place a spare order and asked if the system was like this. 👎👎👎👎

Avoid coming here if you want your food quickly or your order correct. 9/10 there is something missing and the service is unbelievably slow. Expect waits of up to an hour on a weekend evening as all the delivery orders are prioritised.

My food was really lovely, the staff were prompt and friendly, however, this was my son's food which cost me £4.99. I'm sure there was meant to be more but as I used the drive-thru, I didn't realise until I unpacked. Really disappointed that this cost so much and this was all he had.

Love the food but always dread going there because of the service. Very rarely get what I ordered and they only tell you they haven't got something after they've given you your food instead of updating the self service screens. Tonight was the rare exception but perversely there was no classic chicken on the screen despite it being in stock so had to discuss the options at the till after spending 10 minutes being ignored by every member of staff who walked past it. Never seems to be enough staff on, don't think I've ever seen anyone over 19 there and they just don't seem to give a damn. Never any serviettes either.

Waited 10 mins to be served and then another 25 mins for our food (with only a couple of customers in the restaurant, it wasn't like they were dealing with peak demand), and when it arrived it wasn't very fresh. The drive thru orders seemed to take priority and were getting served much faster, would recommend this instead of ordering at the counter.

Usually one of the better fast food places in the area, but the down side of being on an A road is that going back isn't really practical when the food isn't right. Tonight I had a box mesh that was really hot and tasty - would have been even tastier if they'd towered the burger like I'd paid for and remembered to put the side order in the box. Google has asked me for an update. Today's order needed to be microwaved after the 8 minute drive home. Chicken bites that tasted like they'd not seen heat in an hour and chicken so stale that the coating had come off the skin in one piece!

Just visited this branch & absolutely shocked at the service & the food!!! How KFC have not closed this branch down is beyond me. What a disgrace to KFC!!! We have been to many KFC’s & this is by far the worst!!!! Staff have attitude & are not friendly in the slightest. Greeted with a horrible smell on entering the restaurant. Didn’t feel or look very clean in there either. The chicken bites were rock hard & so dry & not like we’ve had from other branches. These were awful! The mega box was a tiny portion & hardly any chips. The chicken piece was so tiny. The hot wing wasn’t cooked enough so inedible. Avoid this branch at ALL costs!!!!!

Just about managed to provide chicken, skimpy amount of chips, no corn or gravy available and all this served by a girl who needs a good lesson in manners and customer service

The drive through was a little difficult to navigate and some of these stones are loose so sounds awful driving over them, the order system isnt working so placed order at the window. Food was lovely but the amount of chips we received was very small! Should have asked for an extra portion! But overall, not bad!

Just had a fabulous meal from here ..I was served by Jamie and Leuan... Excellent customer service and Jamie was very patient as I had to give him my order over the counter, he was very polite even though he was rushed off his feet .. The meal was nice. The chicken was cooked fresh and tasted lovely. We didn't get the coleslaw but I made my own 😆 Compared to the kfc we had last week from Cwmbran I can honestly say Pontypool kfc are the best 👌

Food was good, but the kitchen area we could see while waiting for our food looked dirty, with lots of dropped food all over the floor and quite a bit rubbish lying around the kitchen floor

Filthy. All but one of the tables was covered in food particles and grease. The staff’s uniforms looked as if they had been wearing them all week. The chicken was lukewarm and we left most of it to be on the safe side. Used to be OK here, but really gone downhill. Only one other customer at a peak time which speaks volumes.
