Once we finished our order using the unmanned machine, We didn't get a receipt to hand in as the paper had run out. staff had given a receipt saying it will refund and we paid again. however the repayment did not happens even after 9 days, also we approached the same branch after 5 days from the incident as well.

Why can't I give zero stars? Or negative stars. This was a catalogue of cock-ups...... I had to try three self-order screens before I found one that worked. The wait for food was exceedingly long. This is NOT fast food. There were no napkins. When I eventually received my order, I was only then told that part of my order wasn't available, would I like something else? (Don't forget, I had already paid by this point!) The food was tepid and not very good. Never again will I visit a service station KFC. Utter rubbish.

Ordered our food just after 9 pm,parts of our order were ready including my coffee 10-15 minutes before the rest was. My coffee was cold,all of the chicken which is usually delicious and fresh was like cardboard and must have been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I’ve never had a bad meal form kfc and will never visit this site again. I’m not a moaner but you need to have a look at this site it was awful. I didn’t complain as we were in a rush to get to a hospital as my mother in law had been issued the last rights. Very disappointed.

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I had to ask the girl at the till how much longer my food would be 26 minutes after ordering. She replied “I don’t know” and threw her hands up in the air. So i asked if she could just ask the girl behind her who was preparing the orders and she hesitated and repeated “I don’t know”. Again I asked that she ask her and she did. The BLONDE girl preparing orders couldn’t have been more incapable. I don’t know how anybody with her attitude even has a job. I had to ask her several times if she could just give me the items that were clearly prepared and ready. Bare in mind we’re at least 30 minutes past order time now. She ignored me again and again and again until she eventually slammed my food infront of me and muttered under her breath. In the real world you would get swung on sweetheart. Count your blessings.

Took ages ignored at the front got my food wasn’t a tower up like I asked for gravy spilled everywhere as lid wasn’t shut not happy

Stopped for food as motorway was choka.. Had 3 piece meal, chicken was excellent... Hot and decent pieces. KFC chips are always disappointing and sadly their coffee is quite bitter.... But the chicken was excellent. Thanks

I ve just had the worst experience ever in my life! I ve stopped there for a quick snack.Placed the order taken my money of the wallet and was told that my £10 ( that just came out of cashpoint) was FAKE. MALE member of staff serving me starting to scratching my note and came up with the story that it shouldn't be like that! I wanted it back and he refused to do so.I ve told him to get somebody( manager, police whoever ) as I won't be giving somebody them extra pocket money!!! Line of people behind us became really long.Guy serving us stay hidden behind the fryer and pretending to be on the phone. After 15mins of us waiting and whole KFC been on hold he came back with a female that started to serving people waiting. He came with NO APOLOGY SAYING THAT THE MONEY IS REAL INDEED.I JUST TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT. All of it just might be because we differ in skin colour!

Dirtiest service station I have ever visited Toilet paper and water all over bathroom floor. Whole place is just dirty.

Can't believe there are not frequent accidents in the car park as could see no exit signs and loads of cars cruising around trying to find the way out. Many giving up and leaving via entry points.

Firstly the bun for the chicken royale was stale and rock solid and tasted like utter crap. Secondly we understand that flame grilled burgers can tend to be dry so my other half asked for extra cheese and got less then the standard order had on it.

My lady friend and I visited this KFC with high hopes. I had been looking forward to the international sensation, the double down and she, although an experienced customer in other walks of life, was looking to take her maiden voyage on HMS Kentucky. Double down, more like double disappointment. Both the cheese AND the bacon was were Stone cold. My lady friend’s sweet chilli bites were mouthfuls of cheap, poorly flavoured, capitalist fodder. Her burger, had somewhat of a chilling effect on the evening, perhaps as it had only just left the fridge. Upon eating this she nearly keeled over. The end of the meal brought about the end of our evening together, no matter how much it had already cost me. Alone, I was forced to console myself with some Krispy Kremes.

I was heading for a train in Newcastle CC with just enough time to spare to pick up some KFC chicken. So I checked their website to see there was a restaurant just 7 mins from the station. What joy 68 Grainger Street-. I walked up and down but no KFC ! Need to update your details and google info. The good news was I found I was upgraded on the train so got fed by LNER !!

On my way to my parents called here to get a quick snack! Waited for around twenty minutes,when it came to order told no chicken on the bone!!!!!!! Why could no one have written a note informing customers of this problem,instead of waiting until you are at the counter being served? Because they hope you will order something else and not lose too much custom!!!! SELFISH!

Popped in on way to Chester. Nice compact services. Toilets clean. KFC upstairs and clean. Busy! Good service and tasty food.

Ordered food and 2 lattes, wait over 20 minutes, served but told to get milk from side - but we ordered lattes? Sorry mate machine's broken. Ok refund. Wait another 20 minutes. Seriously?

Nothing good to say about the service as this KFC. Only one out of 3 members of staff at the front seem to know what they are doing. Other two just talk to each other and move at the pace of a snail! 30+ minutes for food is terrible. Better staff needed or better organisation!

If you have time to burn at a service station because you need to charge your car then fine you won’t mind the wait, but with a hungry child in tow this wait was a joke. It is not fast food. While we were waiting people were asking for refunds because they had been waiting 20 minutes and still no food. What’s worse is it wasn’t even busy.

35 min wait, chicken cold, dry and chewy. Ordered a classic filet burger. Received something swimming in ketchup with a soggy hash brown (I suspect) in it. WTAF is that all about?? Trousers ruined, irritation at bloody traffic not improved. Dreadful.

I wouldn't normally write a review for a fast food place however this is a needed exception.I waited 40 minutes from ordering to being served that is not fast food, there was two young staff members serving and prepping food which is ridiculous for a motorway services. I really felt for the two as this is definitely a management problem, the longest I have waited for any food never mind a fast food place and I had to ask for the order in the end... Avoid at all costs

17 minute wait, thought KFC was supposed to be fast food. (order no 3087) even though not particularly busy but only 3 Kids serving with no sign of a supervisor.

have been meeting colleagues on the southbound service area every weekday morning for two weeks, i always arrive early and tend to go and get a coffee.

Very busy kfc on a Sunday. Busy because other food outlets are so laughably expensive. Like the new chips. Good chicken portions, but, what’s this? The wrong order was sent. Miserable bespectacled girl did not apologise for the error. Wasn’t that bovvered. Poor customer service from her, the smiling face of the company. Watery gravy. No taste. KFC gravy is the jewel in the crown. At least it used to be. I hope this is only a one-off, not company policy. Adulterate the gravy at your peril.

Visited this branch of KFC on the M6 with my parents recently. We queued twice to use the self-service ordering machine which let us place our order, but then it cancelled the transaction when coming to the payment page. As a result, we decided to queue up, place our order and pay at a manned till.

Order came wrong with missing items and the food absolutelty stone cold.But for the fact we were running late I'd have thrown this back at them.Disgraceful.

Good fast food option at the M6 Services Stop. Computer order terminals or stand in line. Food is typical KFC menu. It is located on the bridge between North & South bound motorways so worth getting a window seat and watching the traffic pass beneath you as you eat. No complaints. It is what it is.

We ate here towards the end of the evening - 9.30pm.

We had our order taken by a lovely young man named Brandon; he was so accommodating and pleasure to talk to. Amazing service and put a smile on our faces.

Came here as a quick pit stop. We got served by Brandon. He was amazing!!!

Found the services to be clean mostly, toilets not too bad but could be better, was going to get a coffee there was only one girl on and no one to give her a hand, there was 3 people at the front of the queue asking her different questions think they were doing it even more cos she had quite a few people there, and then more came we decided to leave it as we wanted to set back off, all right to stop for a break! Noticed prices in there very expensive!

Driving home from a trip up north, with the family and as there was a traffic jam, we decided to stop for a bit to eat. However, as you would imagine, it was busy, although considering they had modern self serve counters, their service was really slow.

We arrived to Keele services with an intention of a quick kfc and straight back on the road, instead this turned into a 45 minute trip which did not go down well with my companions, not just was the wait long but the service from the staff was nothing short of rude, I highly suggest not to eat from this establishment, also the till was covered in grease and absolutely filthy which was offputing, the only good thing about this kfc was the chicken was cooked suprisingly well.

Food was only just warm, very average second time visited both times very poor won’t be going again !!

Very poor, not sure what is the point of a motorway service station if I can’t get a coffee and a snack to keep me awake on the M6 late at night (which incidentally has a challenging 50 mph speed most of the way along, due to “upgrade” to smart motorway, estimated completion 2022).

This is an average KFC that is accessed by a stairway from each side of the M6 motorway. Its nothing special but its coll sitting above the lorries that thunder beneath you.

We arrived needing a coffee preferably a costa . Turns out Costa is a machine not a coffee shop. We had a Starbucks which wasn't to bad. Subways area was a disgrace it was dirty . In fact the whole place needed a good clean . I don't think I will ever go back there and I would put anybody else of off going there .

Despite being a long queue, the 2 front of house employees were trying their best. However, the 2 employees in the back spent their time laughing, squealing and mucking about - they certainly weren't working. It was an embarrassment to the company.

This KFC is a joke , no coffee as their run out of milk , no salt for chips and my kids had to eat yogurt by fork as no spoon neither... and that’s all after I paid so couldn’t back off to go to have a quick bite somewhere else

Unlike other M6 services, KFC at Keele services does not accept deals/vouchers, making it expensive to eat there.

Visited en-route northbound. Staff were friendly enough, which is why I gave it two stars. The food is just awful - greasy, tasteless and not nice quality. They had no tea or coffee, no yoghurt or ice cream for the children’s meals. I understand this is fast food and not cordon bleu, but really, does it have to be such poor quality?! People are paying reasonable money for reasonable fast food. Cook it well, source decent ingredients and everyone is happy. Not acceptable!

Stopped here away from the snow in the south bound Keele services. It was clean and welcoming and warm.

Limited staff, glitchy self serve terminals, slow slow slow. Wins the prize for the most ironic serving of ‘fast food’ ever. Next time we’ll go to Burger King instead.

An attempt to deliver a good service failed miserably. There's a need to decide which system to use. ... be it the onscreen ordering or the face to face ordering. Attempting to utilise both when there's a clear shortage of staff does not work. Standing and waiting in line for a considerable amount of time while the staff are preparing orders for the onscreen ordered meals us not customer focused. Nor is being completely ignored when standing at the front of the queue, although eye contact was made with me there was no acknowledgement of my presence. OK, so my order, when I eventually received it was incorrect. I queued again to have it corrected......an apology was made......I appreciated that. A staff member appeared to return from a break (at peak lunch time hour) the queues seemed to be better handled. Not an experience I would be happy to repeat.

Ayer visité este servicios con mi hija y nieta en su cochecito. Las cafeterías son tres tramos de escaleras y no hay ascensor. No tener instalaciones chocante para madres con cochecitos o sillas de ruedas y acceso para minusválidos. Así que no visita este si no puedo acceder a las escaleras!

Usual fare, three pieces, chips and drink. Chicken pieces a little disappointing, one drumstick one small wing and a small breast. Chips fresh out and crispy. Staff very pleasant. Slightly more expensive as it was on the motorway services.

Ordered via self service, went to collection point, food Was ready in a couple of minutes. All hot, tasty, no complaints

Prepaid ticket machine not giving out receipt No clear signs to collection points once prepaid so queued on wrong side for 10 mins Then finally received food needed to wait further 5 mins for a receipt Once finally sat down to enjoy food both bread...

We thought we'd have a KFC for a change as the food is usually reliable!

We used the auto facility but a receipt wasn't produced nor did we know where to go to await our purchase - we watched as almost everyone else using this facility went to the wrong place with some occasionally being told where to go (politely) by fellow customers as the staff weren't bother and the machines unmanned. We didn't get a receipt to hand in as the paper had run out - and it was all as clear as mud til a member of staff shouted out a similar order to ours which we claimed - to say that this is not a slick operation would be an understatement.

Stopped off for food on a long journey. The queue was big, so took a while to be served. The lady who served me was as fast as she could be, working her socks off! When the food eventually came after a short wait it was tasty and the chicken was hot. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the fries, luke warm at best. Having said that we ate and left with full tummies.

The food was cold, the staff rude and the tables were dirty and the chicken burger had black hair in it. If this was bad enough they also short changed me.

I ordered for BBQ bacon Boss Box which contain Burger, side order chips and piece of chicken. In my order I included two hot wings, after opening my box in the car the piece of chicken was missing. I don't know if it was deliberate or he missed it but the fact is I paid for it and am supposed to be served properly. Very shameful.

夜９時ごろの利用。１０人程度並んでいました。サーバーが壊れていたのか、ペットボトルからソフトドリンクをついでいました。氷なしでぬるく、人工甘味料の変な味が際立っていました。チキンは茶色で、ほかの国で見るきつね色ではありませんでした。味は普通。ポテトはしなしな。

We used to meet up with my wife's parents here many years ago so recently travelling South we called in for a nostalgic visit and a convenient "comfort break". Not much seems to have changed. Smelly Gents cubicles but in fairness the cleaners must be rushed off their feet cleaning up after short sighted clients who 'miss' and also don't appear to see the hand washing facilities on the way out.

Very busy services, ordered the food via quick pay point, but 20mins later was still waiting for food, the lad doing the quick point orders was working very fast but needed more help,, the other order point had more people on it.....manager needs to be more observant about his stock etc as they had run out of barbecue beans and gravy..... seemed to be plenty of staff in the back who had time to come and get drinks as we waited....... food lovely when it came... staff who served very polite and apologetic but waiting time not good when you are on a journey....

After standing in the queue for 30 minutes and moving no more than two metres, we gave up and continued with our journey. Those able to use the self serve were served much faster, but the limitations of being unable to order food without the sauce on the self serve machines for example, meant we had to queue. Will be giving Keele Services a miss in future.

The seating area shared by KFC and Burger King at the Welcome Break, Keele was disgusting at lunchtime today. Every table was filthy, there was split coffee all over the floor by the overflowing bins and despite asking for someone to come and clean our table, no-one materialised. I asked someone else for a cloth and eventually someone came and gave it a quick wipe. This place should employ someone to walk around cleaning during the day. Totally unacceptable.

Have been to this KFC 3 times when i work late shifts... turned up around 9:45pm - 10:30pm and they have no chicken! just popcorn chicken... unbelievable!Plus a member of staff 'cleaning up' used a brush to clear floors, chairs and tables... didnt even whipe with a cloth/cleaning products!!!

The staff seem to be of the opinion that it is fine to be rude and dismissive to customers. I think they forget that without customers they wouldn't have a job. The place wasn't particularly clean but the food was satisfactory.

This isn't a review of the M6 services restaurant but the Newcastle under Lyme one. Living close to the restaurant I used to give it a go when I was on the go.On the last several occasions I have used it, not one of the orders has ever come out with everything correct: missing items, incorrect items mainly.Inside, it's largely clean and I can see that the staff generally seem to be doing their best, but if they can charge me for a large meal, they should be giving me a large meal.One recent example of their doziness was taking an order from me, making me wait ten minutes and then giving me the food saying, "we didn't have that, so we've given you this; is that ok?"I realise that there's a 20% discount on offer to people giving feedback but when at least 20% of the food is incorrect then you're breaking even at best. And if things never get better, what's the use in the feedback?The food is fine and I appreciate that it's fast food and not fine dining, but that doesn't mean that they can get away with the lowest possible standards.The Colonel would be spinning in his grave if he knew.

Newcastle Under Lyme KFC is by far the worst run KFC in the country, I have made four official complaints to the manager and asked to speak to the area manager twice with no response. 1.) Rotten tomato in my burger....Response- "Not our fault its a supplier issue"Please keep in mind that the burgers are assembled on site and a member of staff put the tomato in my burger.Response- " They are rushed as we are short staffed and may not have been looking"Greeted by the drive though staff wearing a top which had never and I mean never been washed. The grease and grime were that warn in it looked like she had been sleep rough for at least a month. Buttons undone to below the bra and bottom buttons undone with belly out. Finger nails dirty too. I'm not trying to be too harsh with this review but at the same time if i want to be served by homeless person I would go the the park and dine from the bin, Its just not good enough. Turned up at 10.22pm the restaurant closes at 11pm. "Sorry no chicken left we have popcorn chicken and fillet burgers"This was a Saturday night, I went in the next day to advise the manager as I only live across the street, I asked if there had been a delivery today she advised me there had not but all food was available?? It just screams laziness to me.Overall just not the standard you would come to expect from a large corporate business advise... McDonalds is 3 minutes away.

This was a rushed service. The place was messy and tables dirty. Only ate here as no other choice as the other places were just as busy. We were going to use the self service but as I cannot have mayonnaise this option was not available so we had to queue up

Don't you wish that you could combine the professionalism of McDonalds with the delicious food of KFC?This is what I was left thinking after visiting KFC, Keele recently.The restaurant itself was pretty clean. They even had those order your own food machines although no-one was using them.It started badly when I asked for a twister and a white coffee only to be told we don't do white coffee!You don't do white coffee I exclaimed in disbelief. He said, we do black coffee and pointed to some little cartons of milk. I said ok...After getting my food I took it back to the carpark and unwrapped it. I was disappointed by the twister as it was rather limp and not very well wrapped at all.For some reason they had put a little plate in the bag along with 2 forks, totally unnecessary. Why do KBC not salt their fries like McDonalds? Surely in this day and age I shouldn't need to salt my own fries? It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't holes in the bottom of the fries box so that when you tip your salt in and give it a shake it all falls out over your clothes.I didn't purchase a cold drink but whilst I am writing this review I want to know why KFC don't provide ice? I don't think I have been to a KFC that gives you ice, they must think we like our beverages luke warm.Speaking of luke warm this is what my coffee was like. Now I don't like it hotter than the bowels of hell like McDonalds make it but surely there must be some common ground.Also, my coffee lid wouldn't stay on properly.All in all it was a poor experience.

We ate here because we had been stuck on the M6 for hours and a friends car had broken down so starving hungry but keen to then get on with our journey. I ordered via the electronic system then went to fetch the order. I ordered a boneless deluxe family meal and made it a large one and added hot wings. I was told we'd have to wait for the hot wings so we waited, and waited, and waited (kind of defeats the idea of fast food). The annoying thing was they'd already packed the chips etc so these were going cold. The meal was boxed up but I asked why in a bucket - they had done it as a bucket not a boneless meal. The lady then tried to argue that that it's what I'd ordered - I showed her my receipt and it was her colleagues that came and had to explain to her that I was right! She then said there were no boneless fillets so I'd have to wait for these! I said I wasn't very happy so she said "I'll refund you" - great but I wanted some flipping chicken! She didn't even apologise she just wanted to get rid of us. Her collegue again came over and said he would refund and sort the food as quickly as possible. From start to finish we were waiting 45 minutes and the chips were really cold, they'd forgotten to put the popcorn chicken in but I couldn't be bothered to complain anymore. The whole thing was a fiasco. For about 10pm at night they had loads of staff on but they were all chatting amongst themselves and clearly saw customers as an annoyance. There was no system in place and they just seemed to cook the food as orders came in so everyone was waiting but they didn't care!
