Rude staff. We were informed to go through to the next window for our order to be taken. We were then greeted by a young male worker and he said loudly to another KFC worker ‘take their order because I can’t be f**king arsed’.

Wanted some lunch for myself and family so popped in here. I know they have got a bad rating but I thought I'd give it a go. The Food was piping hot and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Go on give it a try.

Last week I want to the burton KFC branch and I had dinner there the food was nice cleanliness Toilet,lobby Bst Kfc Burton.

Health hazard, dirty place. So little hygiene and poor management. Staff are really unhelpful and no one cleans up, wipe sweat of and it goes everywhere.

Nipped through the drive through. Ordered. Five minute wait at window. Then told to park up. 15 minutes wait. I goes in …another 10-15 minutes wait. Dirty inside. Tables full and leftover crap. . No management I could see or speak to. Sloppy work staff really . Food as expected… meh … all as above . It’s bad.

Normal story; I was hungry, I was away from home and there was a KFC. I do like a mighty bucket for one. The place seemed clean and not at all busy. The lady behind the counter eventually asked me whether I was waiting to be served. I told her that I was. She walked to the end till and served a lady who had just come in. She then took my order. I turned to look for a seat in line of sight of the number screen and my food was immediately ready. I took it to go. It was very nice. You might think that all mighty buckets for one are the same but, dear reader, they truly are not. Not these days.

Ordered food on app. Waited and waited. Think area managers may of come in while we were there. Seen that we had been waiting for quite a while. Came over asked for our order number which they asked staff to sort out. Finally received meal. Got home only to find out there was items missing. Not a happy customer. Service is terrible. Couldn’t be bothered to travel all the way back in busy traffic to get missing items. Will not be returning.

Dirty, always dirty. No receipts at self order station. Eat in order served in a bag, instead of on a tray. Not a chance of table service. No serviettes provided. Oh and did I mention this place is filthy? Outside and in.

Avoid. Just paid 18 quid for a 10 piece bucket. Every piece was a chicken leg. No breast. Flavour was not good. This place needs to close avoid. I will never go back to the burton on trent branch. Th

Well known as the worst KFC but o still occasionally use it. Tonight however was the final straw. The drive thru speaker was manned by someone who could only use the greetings “hello” and “what” several times. Lovely greeting so gave up and went in. Staff arguing and shouting, gave up and asked for the franchise email. Was given a number I shan’t bother with. A bit like the KFC really. Shan’t bother with it again. Worst franchise ever!!!!!!!!

Came to KFC for the first time in years. Place was absolutely filthy, had to get someone to come and clean a table because every table was dirty. Then when we went to the toilet it was filthy stinky and the toilets was blocked. Men's toilets was pretty much the same. Other customers was complaining about the toilets also. The chicken felt watery when you was eating it. Overall a completely terrible experience and Will not be visiting again. Only reason there is one star is because you have to put something!

Only Urinal taped up. Only cubicle absolutely disgusting. Toilet blocked and urine all over floor and toilet. Wet toilet paper all over floor

By a long way the very worst KFC I have ever been to. Staff don't care about you / their jobs. It is funny how wrong the orders come, never any sides and just chips loose in the brown delivery bag. The inside is disgustingly dirty as are the staff members and have very little English comprehension.

Where do I start?? Ordered via the app, sat for ages at the drive thru waiting for somebody to ask what I'd ordered before being shepherded to the next window. Now, this is where it really went down hill. My food was pretty much thrown at me and the window slammed shut...the bag I was handed didn't look big enough to accomodate my order so, I peeked inside, and, sure enough my wrap was nowhere to be seen. At this point I waved at the window to try and get someone's attention. The man served me studiously ignored me. Another lad cane over and tried telling me they had no wraps and I'd not been charged...I knew I had been. So, I got my phone out and pulled up my order on the app, and showed him the wrap, clearly there and charged...he looked a tad miffed and eventually offered a replacement item in the form of a burger. Nit quite what is wanted but, having just finished work and not eaten all day a scabby horse would have sufficed at this point. Food was luke warm and a bit pathetic really. Glad I checked my order as they couldn't have given a damn. They're clearly not big on customer service...avoid at all costs. Drive the extra few miles and to Ashby de la Zouch, it's a far better managed affair.

I ordered what I wanted and only received half of my order. The chicken I had was as dry as my nans toe nails. I didn’t even want a corn on the cob, I wanted a side of rice . Absolute joke. So I rang the KFC store itself and they simply said, no refund, and if I wanted the items I ORDERED AND PAID FOR… I’d have to come to the restaurant myself and collect them!?! I didn’t want my flippin tango anyway.

Don't order online / at all, this place is famous for just sending random crap instead of what you order. Staff really don't care, chips just thrown in loose in the brown transport bag, no sides, no gravy. Staff wouldn't even issue a refund (I don't know if they could understand, English comprehension was very poor)

We called in for my sons birthday party, 2 adults and 3 children. The children wanted to use the toilet but I refused to let them as they were so disgusting and stank so bad. The smell is a filthy dirty smell of toilets that have not had a good clean for a long time. Had we had realised how bad the toilets were before ordering the food, we would have left. It left me thinking that if that is the standard of cleanliness, then what must the kitchen area be like. The staff were sullen, no energy and just leaning on counters when there were no customers. If this is a national chain then the area manager needs to shape this branch up very quickly…..i for one will not be back due to the shocking overall experience. There are many other takeaways and restaurants we can use that offer a much cleaner and more energetic service. To summarise……..Simply disgusting.

If I could give you half a star rating I would. The restaurant was disgusting. The floors had all dirty food, empty boxes and drink cups. Lots of different sauces. The bins was very full you couldn't put anymore in it. The food was very greasy. They are over priced for food that isn't in what we wanted as in what we ordered and most of it didn't even come with our order. The staff was disrespectful towards the customers. The floors on the kitchen wasn't clean at all. The Burton KFC is disgusting I'm never coming again to see all of rubbish. My table was full of rubbish all of the floors.

Bins were full of garbage, the food was 35 minutes waiting, ordered corn on cob and they had none, no mashed potatoes.messy resturant tables were not cleaned, team member was chewing gum and another team member was listening to music whilst working, a lady wanted instead of gravy coleslaw and the team member paced it back for next customer when it has already been opened by previous customer

A small order yet they still managed to mess it up. Initially forgot to give me my drink, then when I went to open my food the large fries were small, they'd not put the dip in and, the items on the box were just thrown in the box loose! Absolutely no care involved....

I ordered my food on the app and when I arrived i clicked takeaway instead of drive thru. I was told I would have to go through the drive thru and collect from the counter. So i sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes...

Dreadful service. The arrogant brainless woman on the till was untrained and extremely slow. She couldn't speak English correctly. They were all very arrogant and clearly from the same country. I'll never ever use KFC again.

Recently stayed 2 nights nearby. Visited this KFC on both evenings (drive thru). Staff were really polite and friendly and the food was really good and fresh- no complaints!

Been here a few times and every time they get something wrong with our order. Today was a miracle as it was all correct and hot! Very tasty. The restaurant however needed the bins emptying and tables cleaning. I’m glad I got food to go!

Unclean! Tables not cleaned or old food removed from tables. Bins overflowing with rubbish. Toilets are obviously not cleaned on a regular basis. I’ll think twice before visiting again.

Went here on Sunday 13.10.19. it was ok but the corn on the cob was under cooked. The fries have improved but the rest of it is just what you would expect from a fast food restaurant.

We visited the drive through of this store earlier this evening (26/09). After getting home to enjoy our meal we opened the box of chicken fillets to find they smelt strongly of dog poo!!!After speaking to the manager on the phone he was only interested in giving us a refund or replacement meal and not bothered as to why it smells like it does.We took some chicken back for them to smell and the staffs face when they smelt it said it all, still the manager wasn’t willing to do anything.This shop needs shutting. Environmental health have been contacted.

Right, let’s start. That disgusting little pig farm was so fudging bad that they can’t even count fudging chicken wings, like how much of a retardé thinks that 9 chicken wings is 6, like flipin hell mate you can even count your fingers. The place was a mess, I swear to god I could’ve slipped right over and do a summersault in the air like those kiddy anime’s cause the floor was just a pool of grease. And the staff workers were playing Rock Paper Scissors instead of working like what the hecc? I just want my ketchup packets, like I don’t give a flying fudgarooni if mike is winning or not. Stopped off at kfc at 9:35 pm , as soon as we walked in we were told we couldn't eat in as they were closing which was wrong as they didn't close until 10! Husband went to the toilet and found poo over the toilet seat and wee over the floor. He told the staff but was told that they were closing so it didn't matter. The order we were given was wrong but apparently too late to get refund. Absolutely disgusting place and would rather eat in the car park!!! Avoid at all cost unless you want worms !!!

Passing through Burton today and stopped at this KFC - what a mistake. Staff were indifferent and bored looking, both toilets were very dirty, urinal in Gents toilet was out of order, no soap in either toilet. Food was average at best.Looking back at previous comments it appears to have been like this for some time. Avoid at all costs - there are a lot of other places to eat at the same location, this KFC needs a foot up its back side. Where are the Regional Management - or don't they care either?

What does KFC stand for? On my visit Kant Find Cleaning materials! Paid for the food did not dare to eat it. Come on unless you have changed ownership I know you are way better than this. Or has Burton council lost all it's food inspectors due to cost cutting?

Visited 18/05/19. Long wait at the DT but finally got to order a Wicked Variety Bucket.

What an awful place used the drive thru, ignorant youth serving managed to grunt at us, no manners, awful food. Visited 21st Feb between 8.00pm & 9.00 pm

To start off i was stuck in the drive thru for 10 minutes before even getting served, once i told them my order i then continued to wait another 10 minutes before given the food even though there was only 3 cars in front of me at the time. As we got to the window to collect the order i explained to the employee how long i had been waiting to wish he just replied with ‘we are busy and cannot help it’ this was a very rude and passive aggressive reply that i do not feel was necessary.

Awful. 30 minutes wait at a dirty table. Shockingly understaffed. Coffee cold by time food eventually arrived. Don’t bother.

Bins overflowing so customers not able to put rubbish in them. Floor not swept often enough. Staff show no interest in doing their job. Won't be going back in a hurry

Visited the drive-thru on May 3rd and can only say the experience was average nothing special even the food compared to other KFC was only at an average standard

2nd may - 8.45pm Terrible service!! Was stood waiting in the queue for ten minutes while two staff argued and others were stood gorming out. Slow staff and quite frankly rude. Definitely will not be here again.

We have eaten here before, with no problem, but this time 1 no milk so no tea or coffee 2 staff were surly 3 no wipes 4 no. BBQ sauce , not at all up to the usual standard

These guys have a sign up stating they won’t accept customers being rude etc etc, well the staff here are probably getting hassle because they are so ignorant! They talk over you and don’t let you finish, so you have to repeat yourself constantly. They look at you like dirt, tut and sigh. Then there’s the food. Cold, gravy that tastes like chicken stock, half filled pop corn chicken boxes and fries. Chewy chicken, that’s buckets and wraps. I have eaten here 4 times so far this year, it I’m not wasting my money here again.... totally disgusting

Everytime go in kfc, low service, staff are rude and look at u like your something on tbe floor not visisted in s long time due to this

The drive thru was quite efficient. Would be nice if staff had a smile on their face. Burritos, wraps and burgers, all good.

Después de hacer nuestra opción comer KFC llegamos y colocó nuestros pedidos con la miserable buscando hasta al portero. 3 comidas para 3 personas cómo podría ser difícil? Después de esperar casi 10 minutos en un período de pico con gentes en la tienda había una pareja que llegó de similar origen étnico al personal que trabaja detrás del mostrador. Después de más de 5 minutos de espera les dijeron a sentarse y que trajeran la comida, todo mientras nosotros aún de pie esperando, ya que eran de descendencia inglesa. Después de más de 5 minutos y un tiempo total de espera de 20 minutos de nuestra comida. Sin embargo este era wings caliente, salsa y una bebida de luz nuestras órdenes en vez kfc pensó que este sería aceptable nos dejen con 4 adicional patatas fritas. El 3 nos entristece por toda esta experiencia y se lucha para hacer nuestra opción comer KFC en futuras visitas a la ciudad.

Dropped in here last night via the drive thru and ordered a chicken bucket meal to include chicken pieces, trips and fries. Fries were cold and had zero flavour (a dusting of salt really does help) but the chicken was absolutely disgusting, the larger pieces that actually had chicken on them were so dry and stringy that eating a tampon would of probably been a similar experience, the smaller pieces barely had any chicken on at all and were mostly batter/coating. As a fan of the KFC brand and a regular patron of various Derby branches it saddens me to say that I will never be returning to this particular site and would encourage others not to do so. Sorry Colonel!

I love the flavour of their hotwings and little else but took my young Son here. It was a last chance at a KFC for me as I usually don't feel well afterwards because of the grease and fat in the food.Chips were luke warm, my Son's chicken popcorn tasted disgusting and I'm not surprised he didn't eat it and my chicken pieces looked more like sparrows because of the size. Not particularly picking on this outlet but like McDonalds you can't really call it a restaurant

If you want chicken and chips, save yourself some cash and get it from KFC. No matter how bad it is, it will be better than what you pay a fortune for at nearby Nando's.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon not many people in and just 1 person before me..placed my order didn't understand what the member of staff was saying to me..waited ages for meal.whilst waiting saw member of staff in the kitchen eating food then licking his fingers then carrying on handling the cooked food ready for the orders..staff all looked miserable.. staff swept the floor but left dirty tables... this experience and of what I saw make me doubt the hygiene of this kfc !!!..

Despite recent reviews from other tripadvisor members, we found the meal OK and were impressed by the quick service, unlike some other KFC establishments.

Went in to order Rio BBQ Bite Box meal which were advertised on the website.Told that it was not available as it was a special promotion for the Rio games. Why if it was not available was it shown on the website and why was the promotion finished before the games in Rio or had KFC forgotten about the para-olympics? Ended up getting a Zinger Box Meal but the chips tasted as if they had been reheated and was left feeling very disappointed with the whole experience. .

We have given this place so many chances as it's convenient and the food it's self is usually fine, but they seem to forget something in our take away order EVERY time! Box meal all separate with no gravy or hot wings as advertised. And chips were freezing cold. It's like they think that take away orders don't matter as by the time we get home we won't bother to do anything about the missing items. But this was their last chance. Wouldn't bother, utter rubbish!!

Where do I start?! Maybe I could tell you about the cold food! Or the till boy who forgot about the gravy AGAIN AFTER I ASKED IF IT WAS IN THE BAG!!!!!!In short if you want a slightly warm, overpriced meal with buckets of disappointment, then burton kfc will fill you up for sure.

I visited with my wife as we'd had a long day, it was getting later into the evening and couldnt be bothered to cook. We used the drive thru of this so called fast food chain. I expected the food to be very fresh as the time it was taking i thought the staff were having to catch the chickens and grow the potatos. The food was average at best but thankfully we were starving. The staff didnt have a clue what was going on and looked like they needed some direction and training. I doubt KFC read or respond to these reviews which is a shame because so many people are turning away from our ex favourite fried chicked shop

We called in before a cinema trip as we didn't have time to wait at a conventional restaurant. We have been to several KFCs across the country but sadly this has the worst customer service.Firstly the two ladies serving were so busy chatting that we were offered the previous customer's meals. He then had to wait further as they had forgotten something. Our meals were then ready but were served without cutlery or serviette, either would have done.The bins were overflowing and the toilets smelt awful despite the promise to 'check them regularly'.Sadly not a good advertisement for the Colonel.

I find the service here is appallingly slow, staff are disinterested in their jobs, chatting away whilst the queues wait. No-one ever seems to clean the tables, they sometimes empty them, but never clean them. The new facelift is lovely, but unfortunately, the staff and the cleanliness will continue to let it down. I know many people who never eat here and drive to the one on the A38 due to the cleanliness issues - they really need to take a look at their management of the place.

Please don't visit here if you want a takeaway order complete. The last three visits (I know! we should have our learnt our lesson but it's our daughters favourite and the nearest one to us) they have missed things off our order. It's not even complicated, just a strippers meal with a side of gravy and a box meal with a side of gravy. No gravy in either boxes! The staff are ok but service really slow and the place is grubby with litter all over the counter. NEVER VISITING AGAIN! You have been warned.

I visited this KFC restaurant following a late afternoon cinema trip with my father and it is safe to say I shall not be returning. Following an extended wait despite a lack of queue, our order was taken by an extremely disinterested and distracted cashier who immediately disappeared behind the scenes after taking payment, leaving us at the counter. Watching the order timer tick away, and observing that the couple who were waiting for their food when we entered were still stood in the corner looking increasingly frustrated, a second disinterested cashier duly appeared and informed us that there would be a 10-15 minute wait for our order (2 chicken burgers and fries) and asked if we would take a seat to wait. Given the lack of patrons present and that only 2 orders were on the board I asked for a refund, stating that delays should be identified prior to taking payment, but was promptly refused. As we waited I observed our second cashier half heartedly wiping a few tables before disappearing back to the counter to gossip with a colleague. Looking around the restaurant at the waste covering several tables and spread across the floor I couldn't help but feel disgusted at the standard of cleanliness, further exemplified by the patina of greased across the booth we were seated at. Watching the staff dart between cooking stations and the front counter I quickly noted the poor personal and food hygiene displayed, the filthy preparation surfaces and a staff member bagging fries by hand (rather than scoop). In total, entry to exit with takeaway food took 25 minutes, 16:57 of which comprising preparation time despite very few patrons and no more than 4 orders on the board at peak. Given the wait, one would expect freshly cooked food, however we discovered the contrary to be the case. Overcooked, greasy chicken fillets, minimal seasoning and evidently aged and greasy fries. Likewise, the placatory fried chicken breast piece thrown in was undercooked, soaked in grease and the flavour clearly demonstrated that the deep frying oil was old and contaminated. Final Verdict - KFC Burton upon Trent is poorly operated, demonstrating unacceptable standards of hygiene and offering both substandard service and food. Given the pricing, an early bird special at the adjacent Frankie and Benny's would be better value, quicker and far more satisfying.

Having decided to treat myself and partner and young son. We popped along to KFC Burton. Food took ages to arrive that was after 5 minutes waiting to be served, great seeing as I was the only one waiting to be served staff were out back talking. Found a table relatively clean and decided to eat food was lukewarm not bad saying it was supposed to have just been cooked?? Hence the wait. Hair in food. Why the staff don't wear hairnets is beyond me?? All bins were over flowing with nowhere to put rubbish. Gents toilet was out of order and urinal covered with a black bag and tape. Overall rubbish branch rubbish service. It appears this is nothing new so best bet avoid KFC Burton and go McDonald's or Burger King.

We called on our way home to Wales. Oh dear what a mess it was! Dirty floors, dirty tables, no toilet roll in the ladies toilet, a broken toilet in the gents and shortage of staff. The food was equally as disappointing.

It is a good restaurant that you can have dinner at, and it is open for 24 hours food is nice and you can get a box of chicken that's nice

Food always finger licken good and they always help meet our special requirements. Regular customer. Gravy always amazing because other KFCs gravy is touch and go but always the thick, creamy, yummy kind

The tables are always dirty, poor hygiene and the food was undercooked the chicken had blood on it, the food is always cold it's disgusting!! I am really disgusted and won't be going there again!!!

Visit this place every now and then and just always get the idea everything is done to the minimum standard,the wait for the food,the bins even some of the attitude of the staff,I just think they could try a bit harder and make the effort.

Didn't realise just how filthy this place was until we had ordered & sat down, then reality hit! Bins overflowing & tables full of rubbish which you cant blame the customers for as there was no where to put it. We were the only ones there & at least 4 staff standing, chatting but obviously not bothered about the mess? Toilets absolutely stank & were filthy unfortunately my photo doesn't do it justice. Had a take away and I was really shocked when I was told we don't have any normal chicken ready and I would need to wait 15 mins. I know from the TV show that KFC can only have chicken out for so many minutes but this was a bit odd.

What a shabby KFC this is , it is absolutely filthy it's like some greasy spoon cafe not a KFC , we ordered our meal and ended up leaving it as the chicken was Luke warm , full of grease , and smelt and tasted discusting even my daughter who is 7 spat It out. Went in after attending the screamfest had to wait 5 minutes to be served as no one was on the till. Was then served by the manager of what it seemed. Ordered a big daddy meal plain with beans and a drink sat down to find my burger was not plain and had all the trimmings. Then took it back up to wait 5 minutes while the staff were talking in the kitchen. Was apologised to when the manager came out of his office was told to take a seat as it would be replaced. Was replaced in under a minute then to find that the bacon that had been put on the burger might have well just been took out of the freezer, returned the burger once more to be told to take a seat and a it wud be replaced, that came back only 30 seconds later i had barely even sat down. Then minutes later after only just finishin my food an employee rather rudely asked us to leave as it was half past 10 and they wanted to clean up and go home. This service was absolutely shocking and can say i will never visit this place again and will definately inform my friends not too!!!!!!!

we went in and ordered a bucket with fries to take out. this new order and wait (like argos goods) is slow and me and my partner went in after our night out and spose to be fast food but was so slow and had to listen to two customers complaining as it was. got home and our food was average .never rated this place since it opened but im optimistic ever ytime we go in ( rarely) these days but no sorry TAMWORTH KFC staffs not happy with the service at all.

Its a fast food outlet. Most of the time you have to clear other peoples mess off the tables as the staff are too busy behind the counter. The boneless chicken has now reduced in size, Its in a good location for the cinema. Food is usual KFC.

This branch does not even deserve 1/5 as it is utterly horrific, I do not recommend visiting this branch at all. Firstly the restaurant itself is always filthy. This is my local KFC branch and have visited the restaurant numerous times over the past 12 months and the tables are always full of rubbish and the floor and general look of the restaurant is very messy and untidy. The staff are unbelievably rude and look like they have absolutely no desire to be there ever. Not only are they rude but they are also incompetent and I have had numerous instances where this particular branch has got my order wrong. I have only ever taken the food away and when I have tried to contact the branch to flag any issues I can never get an answer, the phone just rings continuously. I then have no option but to go back to the branch, which is a 10 minute drive. When I eventually raise any issues to any member of staff including the 'shift manager' I generally get a grunt which barely resembles an apology let alone any reimbursement or compensation which I think is ridiculous seeing as I have had to drive to back again. The issues I have encountered are very basic such as forgotten popcorn chicken, or incorrect amount of chicken pieces. I have flagged this branch to KFC head office who are apparently 'looking into it' but they also don't seem to be overly concerned.Read all the other negative reviews just to see how everyone else sees this branch. I now have no other option but to drive 20 minutes away to the next town to my next nearest branch. This branch is an embarrassment to KFC and I would suggest avoiding at all costs. I sincerely hope somebody takes notice of all the negative reviews and complaints and actually does something. The store manager needs reviewing immediately and all staff need retraining or rehiring. This branch categorically fails to reach basic standards.

I love KFC, but not the one in Burton upon Trent. On entry it appeared that someone had just had a food fight. The floors were covered with food and packaging,the tables unwiped and the bins overflowing. At least the food was hot but although the chicken was a bit dry.

Love KFC, hate KFC Burton!Always cold and or soggy, always rude/bad service, I have had to repeat my order on several occasions to still receive the wrong food. Everyone I know also feels the same way, if you go to Burton there's 100% something wrong every visit.

As far as KFC goes this would be my last choice, the food they serve is always exceptionally greasy overcooked and normally cold. The service is somewhat shocking and the 'restaurant' is always filthy and cold. Would rather travel to Tamworth or Derby for a KFC

Terrible service and impolite staff. No one in restaurant seemed happy to be working there. I will never use them again as 10 minutes wait for a 12 piece box with limited selection of sides is poor. Avoid

Just don't bother KFC burton realy needs to get there act together with waiting times theres no pride in there job and everything else in this business.It's a poor service every time I go here I just take the family to Willington KFC wich is just a couple of miles away slightly better. Myself and a lot of my friends avoid because of poor servicesI have never been once where there were clean tables pity

Today we want to KFC and we went through the drive through as there was an offer of 9 piece bucket for £5.99We got it home and the meal was rubbish, every piece of chicken we tasted likeIt had been sitting out for a while It didn't taste nice at all, and to be honest this is the second time in 3 months we have had to endure the same experienceVery disappointed

KFC at Burton is pretty good, the staff seem happy and the food is usually good. we go pretty often and i would recommend it.
