Haven’t been to KFC for ages, paid £16 for the worst takeaway from there we have ever had. The coating was rock hard and overcooked, very spicy too, we threw most of it away.

I ordered kfc and it never arrived and I called about 8 times no answer and I checked and it said it has been delivered. You can’t even call the driver or anything.

What a disgusting, awful place, the floors are so dirty and greasy you feel like you are iceskating when you enter, then you find that the deals they have advertised I’m not even available! What a total waste of time! Avoid this place at all costs, it is blooming awful.

KFC can be hit and miss but living close to this place we order by the app and collect in person. Normally back home via walking in 10 minutes. Food has always been hot and tasty. Ordering other ways seems to take an age. In 2 years never had a bad experience.

Just been here with the missus.. I had the bargain bucket for one.. Was really nice.. Tasted good and far better than the food you get given at the paignton kfc..

Stone cold chips and two items missing. The gravy was like dish water. How difficult is it to get 5 items correct. They weren’t even busy.

Hadn't been to this takeaway for some months due to a previously poor experience with stale buns and cold food. But having decided to stop and try it again was pleasantly surprised to find it staffed by a young man who was pleasant and offered a drink whilst we waited for the food to be freshly cooked. This time the quality was very much better being fresh, hot and tasty, and so will happily call in again when passing in future.

Diabolical - Failed to fulfil our order - Ordered via Just Eat and kept pushing back the delivery time then messaged to say they didn’t have enough food to fulfil the order. Really disappointing.

2 meals ordered along with a few other bits, only 1 portion of fries in the bag. The amount of reviews I've read on here and elsewhere, this seems to be a persistent issue. Check your orders before giving them to your customers.

Poor is the only word to describe this. Haven't had KFC for so long. Won't bother again. How hard is it to read an order? No chips, no sweetcorn and no gravy. Dreadful. What did arrive was cold.

Have stopped selling regular Pepsi ?? Asked why they said kfc Sorry Kentucky FRIED chicken said we are looking after your heath while handing me over a bucket of 20 deep FRIED chicken pieces and a bag of deep FRIED chips. I hate these woke company's and I heard there struggling and it's no surprise.

Walk in as I found the app unwieldy. Three meals ordered and waited about 15 minutes. It was a busy Friday at 1900h so there’s the delivery couriers to contend with. Not sure who has priority but the screen showed the progress of the order. Friendly chap taking orders when it was busy and was helpful to customers not sure of their options. All came out hot and tasty. Can’t fault this one. Second time used it with no issues.

The worst KFC anywhere, I hope when the new one opens at Penn Inn the franchise isnt given to these clowns.

Waited 3 hours for a Deliveroo, had to cancel. According to Deliveroo it’s up to KFC to supply drivers. They bite off more then they can chew.

Can't fault the Uber service and driver for delivery. The portions for what you pay for though were horrendous. Was the chicken from a chicken or a very small budgie? And drop the service charge. Sort it out.

I gave them a one because I couldn't give them a minus. Placed an order on Friday night for delivery on Saturday between 5.5 and 5.30. At 7.15 was ringing Deliveroo to see where my order was. Lovey lady I was speaking to rang the rider who said he had been waiting there for over half an hour and order wasn't ready. This was after the rider had already been there earlier for my order which wasn't ready!! How can they possibly not have an order ready when it was ordered the night before?!? Cancelled my order and went else where, worst service ever.

Do not order through just eat for KFC!!! ordered food, driver found, driver left the building then promptly disappeared off the face of the world apparently!!!! Not gonna sugar coat it, disgraceful! Waited over 15 minutes for cold , tasteless, cardboard like garbage !! Ordered a trilogy box meal, missing the chicken fillet strip that was suppose to come with it. The popcorn chicken you put in, I wouldn’t even give it to someone’s dog. Tasteless, chewy, almost a moist like feeling when trying to get through it. I think someone’s had it on hold for too long and not discarded it?? From previous experience in fast food, this was extremely woeful and appalling. After the cashier was clearly struggling on till all by herself for a good 10 minutes and announcing to the customers that she had no idea what was going on, some guy with black hair shuffled out from behind the scenes, wiping his nose with the back of his hand along with touching other parts of his face throughout my stay, not once did I see him wash his hands before touching food. I mean some other worker was out the back cleaning out what looked like one of your chest freezers, customers can clearly see where your priorities lay. Target speed of service for the restaurant I previously worked in was 2 minutes 30 seconds, does KFC Newton Abbot not have a care in the world for delivering high quality fast food to their paying customers anymore? Because after paying over £15 for mine and my GF’s meals I feel completely letdown. Your restaurant has built up quite the reputation around Newton Abbot for being slow, long waiting queues with cold bland food. Something needs to change.

Really lovely staff, they work under incredible stress to attempt to produce fast food, customers can be rude/abusive and loud. The staff deserve praise

Popped in after Sunday nite out ..chicken was all bone..it was only warm..chips were warm. Gravy was warm. Tasted horrible .they need to sort themselves out....won't be back....KFC ...not as good as it used to be. ..

Although this is a takeaway only store the service is second to none. We found the staff to be friendly but exceptionally efficient in their work. From placing our order to receiving it seemed like no time at all had passed and the end product was superb. As we were here on a Tuesday we opted for the 9 piece Bargain Bucket which was nicely filling along with a small tub each of Baked Beans and washed down with a Hot Chocolate. More is the pity that it isn't a sit down establishment as it would be even better. May be KFC should consider this for the future in Newton Abbot with it being an ever expanding town.

We made the mistake of returning here today after not learning our lesson 2 years ago when we had a bad experience here. Well,the very same dirt is still on the window. Clean the windows for gawds sake! This place is generally dark,minging and filthy.

Got the 14 piece bargain bucket, Chicken coating was soft and full of grease. They have changed the thickness of the chips once again undercooked soft full of grease. Really not happy with the food totally bad experience.

I used to visit KFC a lot but now it has reached a stage of what is the point. No matter what you order there is always something that they have run out of. Visited last night after a day out and did not fancy cooking to find they had run out of gravy. Was offered another option but was else is there to replace it. I could understand if it was late at night but not at 7pm. Avoid this place until they can start running the place properly. There are many more good takeaways in Queen St where you always get what you ask for.

Came down to visit a relative whose 80, we came down from Somerset very much looking forward to kfc , when we arrived at his house he said I asked for strips for 4 people , but the bag is small so I asked again and she said yes that’s correct , opened the bag and there were 4 strips in there and one chips , pathetic so we cut our visit short and went to lunch elsewhere , very disappointed elderly gentleman who had got there midday especially to treat us

Despite the poor reviews, this is a very busy KFC. Ye sits small but I found the service to be good and the Burrito Zinger to be really very good indeed. Sure, the fries were average but then Maccies fries have always been the best...!

Come on KFC, surely by now you realise this premises is NOT BIG ENOUGH for NEWTON ABBOT. The queues are horrific, there is no way this can fall into the category of "fast food". Astonishing that you walk in and immediately your order is taken, along with your money! meaning that over 30 minutes when you are still waiting you wont think "sod it" and go to the chinese next door!

Once again (after about a year since our last meal) the meal we ordered was wrong! Twister, fries and sweetcorn managed to turn into a kids meal consisting of a tiny twister, fries and popcorn chicken! They obviously don't care about bad reviews as it seems to be a common complaint and they never do anything about it.

This KFC is run by there supply, not themselves.

If you go here you should ALWAYS CHECK your order before leaving. They always palm me off with small wings for some reason, About 3 out of the last 5 times they have been out of chicken??????

visited this restaurant twice in two weeks while away in our caravan, Bargain Bucket, Hot Wings, & Gravy, on both occasions the food was hot and the order complete as ordered.

Decided to have a fillet box meal which I chose to have a hot chocolate with it... I left, got half way home, sat at traffic lights and sipped my drink to find I had a strong black coffee?...every time I order from kfc I either get a wrong item or they miss an item altogether...extremely frustrating!....please read your reviews as it would appear others have complained of similar issues!!

Appalling service at this KFC and staff are rude. I was kept waiting whilst other people were served first. Then to add insult to injury they tried to give me the wrong order. Complete and utter chaos. They also didn't have any napkins out when I visited and they never have the lemon wipe sachets. The service just down the road at Torquay KFC is second to none, and their staff are friendly and helpful too. What is going on at Newton Abbot branch lol?!

Terrible. At least 3 people came back as they'd been given the wrong items/items were missing. We had to join a long queue of people waiting for their orders. One lady infront of us was really annoyed and told a member of staff how bad it was. We rarely have takeaways, and (regrettably) chose KFC. Purchased 3 meals. Firstly, there was no sweetcorn available (one of their main sides). What arrived contained regular chips when ordered and paid for large meals, which were cold and shriveled; cold, undersized boneless chicken fillets in over-fried, rock hard coating; and chicken legs when ordered thighs that had very little meat. For £20, was a complete rip off.

Pollo cocinado adecuadamente y no dijeron que no tops pan! ! Cliente antes me estaban quejándose en haber dado a sus hijos sin cocer pollo y regresar un gran orden. . Haber dejado, pero pensé que había tenido mala suerte! ! La mía era mismo menos el follón y fría, las patatas fritas mejores disquete. Absolutamente comería esas cosas de nuevo.

Popped in for a cheap and quick lunch. It was not busy, but the staff were preoccupied with chatting and shouting about their weekend "benders" with each other than any customers. I work in retail and colleagues do talk and have a giggle, but not when people are waiting. You should also never look at your customer as an inconvenience. They are the reason you have a job? Meal was poor and cold. Going back wasn't an option as we felt quite intimidated and I truly believe we would have been verbally abused by the staff. Never again. Pull your socks up KFC. Change the management in this place. Overhaul needed asap.

I rarely eat KFC however I'll have one once every few months and this time I had the unfortunate ordeal of visiting this KFC . Incredibly understaffed for a Friday evening I was made to wait 13 minutes in total after check the screen behind the counter after payment not to mention waiting in the que beforehand . It was freezing in the tiny KFC as the door didn't close properly and once I received the food the fries were stale and cold and the burrito was barely warm. terrible experience and really put me off visiting KFC again.

Parking is on main road which can be a nightmare. No places to sit and eat but good for stopping off on way home from work or working later as does not shut until 11 pm

Very disappointed! Ordered two box meals, one with the wrong side given (gravy instead of corn on the cob), then discovered that the dips had been forgotten from both. To top it off no answer on their phone when trying to call to get the order sorted, tried for 10 mins whilst food getting cold. Not happy!!

We went there today as a family to get lunch and our entire meal was cold and not what we ordered . The gravy was like concrete and tasted horrid . My partners burger was a mess. The place was empty and I was served pretty quickly however the food wasn't very hot. I ordered a tower burger and there was no ketchup and the chicken was pretty skinny, not the usual chunky piece. Sadly I find it rare to have a good KFC these days :(

Its been a while since I had been into this KFC and this time really will be the last time.We were less than a foot inside the door before we were asked what we wanted, I would like to at least look at the menu first. We had a 10 piece bucket, a lunch box and popcorn.The chips were inedible and the chicken was overcooked and dry.The owners of this franchise clearly dont read this site.Worst KFC ever.

First and last visit to KFC in Newton Abbot. Popcorn chicken cold, fries cold & soggy, chicken breasts, I think, tasted really bad. Staff could really do with a customer training course, they should remember that the customer pay their wages. I would never ever visit this KFC again, even for a freebie.

Visited this KFC for a quick meal. The chicken was good and very hot. The order was correct not like some we have visited. We would definitely call at this store again.

All I ordered was 2 snack boxes and I was waiting over 20 minutes but the staff kept serving more people when there was loads of people waiting with nowhere to stand even the staff was not bothered and all they said was that they've had a bad day . . No manger around , as a manager myself this is unacceptable. This is not FAST food .

I decided to give this kfc another try today whilst passing despite it being poor on lots of previous visits some time ago Only 3 people in line before me and where served quite quickly Had a mighty bucket for one and it was good Will use again but probably not at peak times as this seems to be when it has a melt down and very long queues due to being far to smaller outlet for the population around it that like to support it

The place is too small and they just made it small, however it does look better in there and the staff seem a lot more interested in what they are doing.

The first time i put it down to 'one of those things' months later we had a kfc and I was extremely ill. The chips were cold, the last couple of chicken pieces went in the bin as the crispy coating was more like congealed slimy fat with coating, the actual meat was just odd. I was ill though the night and I had spoken to 4 other local people who have been the same. I wouldn't let a rat eat out of there bins.

Staff don't know what they're doing half the time, food is missed off the order every single time and there is always a ridiculously long wait. Food never that hot either.. Waste of time!

Popped in for an evening snack to be greeted by a guy who's clothes were filthy and filthy hands so I asked him to wash them then proceed to order then to be told half the menu wasn't available and only lemonade left also so what's the point of having the menu available when it's not.also the kitchen workers were filthy also which I can only describe as they use their uniform to wipe there hands in plus a hazard laying on the floor a filthy mop stay well away and if you do visit take a good look around

Fancied a fast takeaway after a long drive!!! Queued for 10 mins with one person on till then the food served was cold and dried up. Not a good advert for Kentucky Fried Chicken. Go elsewhere if you are hungry and want fast food !!!

Never leave without personally checking that all your food is correct and actually there. I have seen many people with missing items and even overheard a staff member say "Ah well, if they want it, they can come back for it" when they found out they didn't include everything.I suppose it is like most fast food places. You pay peanuts and many of the staff don't care.

Freezing cold stale chips. Warm chicken threw it away and rang customer services and got full refund never going there again disgraceful

Went into the restaurant to find someone ordering fifty bits of chicken, I was two people behind him to find the staff telling, your going to be waiting a while, there was about six members of staff on and no one knew what they were doing, after waiting for about twenty minutes I got served on collecting my small bits of chicken the language from two female members of staff was disgusting and know I wish i said something, all I can say stay away from here

They don't always seem to have staffing levels right. Have been several times with people queued out the door and only a couple serving. Food is standard KFC so OK.

Ate here recently for a quick meal before catching a train. The place was busy and a fair queue as only one staff member was serving. The food took around 3 or 4 minutes to arrive. The chicken was hot and fresh, not too oily. The fries were not hot though which was disappointing.

These sort of places are always going to get a lot stick on sites like this but after going to a branch in Newquay which was spot on without any problems, the one in Newton Abbot really doesn't do it self any favours. There are 2-3 tills, there is never any more than 1 person a time serving but there always seems to be around 4-5 staff running around in the kitchen behind. Do they really need that many in the kitchen at once? My main moan is that they always run out of gravy. They need to manage there stock better. If something is a good seller then prepare more of it and don't get me started on the staff missing stuff from my order.The only reason it's not getting 1 star is that when I do actually get the food, I love it!!

I live on the same street as KFC and every now and then fancy a meal from there , had a few I've enjoyed previously ..! But the last couple of ones have been absolutely horrendous ...! Gravy too watery , or either too thick,chips good helpings but mainly cold on the last occasion , and the hot wings over cooked , the worst KFC I've ever been to since the re-furby it was better tasting befor the refurb , either they need to get new management or sack the staff that aren't putting there all in the food an the customers ....!!!!

What a ridiculous system they have in this place ! I popped in a Tuesday early evening , already I could see the queue was out the door ! But not just one queue , two queues !! I was in the branch for half an hour before I received my food. I got home which is only a 5 minute drive and the chips were soggy and cold. The burger could have been a lot warmer too! I ordered a 7up as my drink which just tasted like bland fizzy water. It was disgusting! Clearly something had gone wrong in the pump ! Overall a truly terrible service for a weekday evening ! Seriously needs some improvement !

If you pop your head in and see more than one person at the counter walk away, the young lad serving me didn't have a clue where he was! Having 3 teenagers we are no strangers to a KFC, however I have to say this was by far the worst tasting meal we have had from there. The queue was out of the door on a Saturday evening so it must be popular but we won't be returning in a hurry when next visiting Newton Abbott
