I visited the Kettle Tearooms today and what a hidden gem it is! Firstly we were welcomed very warmly and shown to our table. All but one of our party had afternoon tea which was absolutely beautiful. Various delicious sandwiches on the softest bread, quiche, salad, individual Victoria sponges, cheesecake and the lightest tastiest scones I have had in a long time. The rest of the menu is excellent too with one of us having a steak and onion sandwich on ciabatta with salad and coleslaw. Highly recommend and we will be back very soon! You can also order fantastic homemade pies which they make to order

I was treated to an afternoon tea for my birthday by my daughter. It was lovely from start to finish. We were served sandwiches which had very tasty fillings and a slice of quiche, with a side salad. Victoria sponge cake, a jam and cream fruit scone and a gorgeous wedge of cheesecake, which was kept in the fridge until we were ready for it, as it was a hot day. I had a large pot of tea and my daughter had coffee. The service was fantastic. It was no trouble to top up our tea pot with hot water when requested and later, we were offered another pot of fresh tea. The food was more than ample and there was no rush to vacate the table. The vintage tea cups and plates were a lovely touch.

Recently visited with family to browse the emporium and have lunch. Excellent service, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped in for a visit to the Emporium with my sister and saw the Tea Room was open, so stopped for lunch. The service was lovely and really friendly and attentive members of staff. Would definitely recommend the Hazelnut and Gingerbread Latte.

We stopped here for a bite to eat. We had the English Breakfast and a toasted current teacake with a couple of coffees. Lovely food and friendly service, great decor, would recommend. May come back next time for the afternoon Tea.
