The food is disgusting, I wished I had read the reviews before spending £25 on something that had 2 bites before throwing it in the bin. There has been zero thought into the food they served. First and last visit for me.

Ordered through Just Eat 18/05/19. Burger was dry and over cooked. Fries were bland, under-seasoned and very expensive. Onion rings went straight in the bin, were extremely soggy. Most of the batter had fallen off and were just slop in the tray. Don’t be misled into thinking that the food is upto the standard of the former Princes Avenue establishment. Not suitable food for being delivered.

Popped here for some food having about 90mins before a gig. Seated straightaway ordered straight away. There was no lager available at all only cider, soft drinks and spirits. Cider it was then. My wife had: The blue cheese burger- bun was lovely, burger itself moist and enjoyable but found it hard to tell there was any blue cheese in it American fries 🍟 - absolutely beautiful and devoured them I had: Double double double burger- again bun was lovely and light, the burgers were clearly freshly made/cooked, bacon was nice and crispy but found the cheese a little lack luster. Vegan fries 🍟 ( ones at the bottom menu) - they were pretty good but was stuffed by that point and couldn't finish them. We got a side of hallumi fries which were awesome just not quite enough (especially for the price...and my belly) The lady server was attentive, friendly and help for us, though must say not as professional with another couple. (Spilt drink by the customer over the seat and table and had to go get napkins and clean up herself) For a lady serving on her own to maybe 12 customers she was excellent. As was the chef who again was on her own and did a great job with the food and speed on getting it served. We went in the place at 1800 and we're eating by 1832, very acceptable to think it's all been made fresh. The gents toilet light didn't work so had to use the disabled toilet (if you go here go check out the dog on the ceiling above the loo bahahaha proper wierd.) Overall a good experience a little expensive for drinks, especially when what was on offer was so limited. Just feels like the restaurant needs a little tlc, but good for a bite on the move.

We used to be a huge fan of Kerbedge and would regularly visit the one of Princes Ave. Now I’m aware these restaurants have recently “divorced”, I’m unclear why but if it’s the quality at St Stephens then I’m not surprised. We visited yesterday and it was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We arrived, sat down and placed our order. All good so far. We were then told there would be a wait on food. Right, okay... there are 3 other tables in. Eventually (about 45 minutes after ordering) our food arrived and it was appalling. The state of the food is bordering on mis-selling. I order a Kerbedge burger which should have rocket, onion relish (something like the attached), what I received was something comparable to what you’d get in McDonalds only worse (see attached). This was taken off the bill and a further 10% off for the speed of service but quite frankly, if you can’t serve what you promise then close. Finally, someone then came over to apologise but went into the finite detail about ‘staff not turning up’ and ‘putting it all on Facebook’ and it ‘not being on’. As a customer, I don’t need to know this.

On a day in Hull shopping and thought a handmade burger would be good! Went in to be told would be a 10 minute wait for food, said no problem, we waited 45 minutes then decided as they had only served a kids party and several adults that our food would not be coming anytime soon, so we paid £7.50 for three small bottle diet cokes and cancelled our order. The people next to us did the same and another couple looked ready to go also. One member of staff cooking and two running around front of house! Would not go back in a hurry or recommend.

Was a big fan of Kerbedge when they first started with Cyril at events like Hessle Farmers Market and then moving into Head of Steam (sadly they’re not in there anymore) so we thought we’d try this one out. The atmosphere was awful with only 2 other guests. The food was very slow to arrive and the staff looked more interested in talking to each other rather then helping anyone. After a long wait our burgers were missing key ingredients, over cooked and burnt. No apology offered either. Wouldn’t recommend ever. Truly awful.

Visited with my partner after receiving a 25% off voucher from one off the staff walking around St Stephens. Food was excellent, with a lot of choice!! The ladies that worked in there were fab, so lovely and cheerful. One thing I would comment on was the £2.50 coke price I think it slightly pricey, but definitely wouldn’t put me off! Would definitely visit again even without the 25% off!!!!

Food was thoroughly average but service was good so would have been a 4*, then I found out they weren't paying staff. Not worth your time or money. Avoid.

This is a shameful company that takes advantage of young employees - promises to pay them but then doesn’t pay full wages owing £100s - doesn’t provide payslips - report to HMRC

Thought we’d try this as it’s fairly new to st Stephens, it’s a smallish place and there was only about 6/7 other diners in... ordered two burgers the double double double and the bird on the edge and some fries.....45 minutes later was told they’d mixed up our order and another table had it. After about another 5 mins the young girl brought our food, telling me ‘this isn’t your burger, but try it and if you don’t like it they’ve got yours on anyway’. I asked what was it in... not fond of the one it was so I said I’d wait for the other one! In total an hour passed and i finally got my chicken burger - what a disappointment. Burger was black, the cheese not even melted! Looked like it had been thrown together in 1mins, the lady then said to apologise for the mix up I could have mine for half price!! 🤔 I’m not one to complain, I work in the industry and I understand things don’t always go to plan etc, fine. But an hours wait to not even get the right meal with next to no communication as to what is happening... not on! Will not be returning😡

Disappointed to write this review as I had nothing but good things to write about KerbEdge until my most recent visit. Appreciated there was a wait on food (30-45minutes) but after 65 minutes my burger and fries were still not on my table. We asked where it was and we were told “yours is the next order out..!” Then saw two other tables having food delivered. The gentleman serving us got on the defensive when we were stood waiting to leave because we’d asked for it to go as we had somewhere to be. We ended up leaving because we simply had no more time to wait. I contacted the management who told me they’d look into this and after two follow emails, I have received nothing. They’ll not get my business again and I won’t recommend them to anyone either.

Called in for tea on Friday night and both our burgers were excellent. A drinks menu would be useful but the staff were very helpful advising what was available. Will definitely be going again and would highly recommend.

I did t realise that Kerbedge has a restaurant in st stephens. The only reason we came across it was because Nando’s had an hour wait. Now that I know they are here I will never be stepping foot in Nando’s. I really like the decor of this place. A lot cleaner looking than the other one on princess ave. Will see you guys soon.

We were table of 8 for mid week lunch, only about 3 other tables taken. One waiter, who was a lovely guy and tried to accommodate our needs. However there was not enough portions of chicken wings for the five children to have. There wasn’t the sauce for the Korean chicken wings either so it was plain wings with bbq sauce on the side. The food took a very long time to arrive considering how few people were in the place and it is essentially ‘fast food’. The children were getting restless because so hungry. The food was very tasty when it arrived and we all enjoyed it. I think this could be a great restaurant but it needs to have more of a buzz, ALL food on menu need to be available and needs quicker service.

Visited here for what we thought would be a quick lunch. Seated straight away, drinks and food ordered. No problem. Then about 45 minute wait for food. Only one person cooking and prepping. Wouldn't like to visit when the place was busy. Credit to the chef the burgers were exceptional, we all had different and not one complaint. Also a must were the Naughty fries, I could of just eaten them. No drinks menu, we just ordered Pepsi. £1.90 A CAN when we received the bill. Very over priced I thought.

The burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Shame about the service though.... if anyone had thought to come over I would have ordered another drink or a dessert. Staff too busy talking to each other to care about anyone else.

Had the whole place to ourselves. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Food was nice. Like the idea of no plates etc. Hot wings were nice -decent portion. Chips were really nice.

Visited here with my partner for a gluten free event and it was fantastic! Great service from the staff, if we was unsure what the food was we asked the chef and he spoke to us about it, the food was delicious! Great tasting and the full menu is literally gluten free with vegan and vegetarian options also. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will be visiting again in the near future.

Sign on door says closed and assets removed. Real shame as the only wage beef burger joint around. Understand the York one has closed too. Sign of the times.

Very poor service, my waffle was raw, then when I voiced concern the “supervisor” of the area argued for 20 mins about how I couldn’t get a refund or new waffle as it came from the same machine, even though the other two waffles we ordered were fine. Also the coffee is basically milk with a drop of coffee in it. Am very disappointed and will not be returning!

They did look lovely all displayed. The lady was stood outside smoking when we walked up. But did wash her hands but started itching her ear and didn't wash again. I was put off but I did feel a bit obliged too buy something. So I opted for fruit flan. The fruit looked like it had seen better days and it tasted like it had. Was a bit shocked at price £3.99 each. Won't be back again
