I have recently moved to the area and I have passed this place a couple of times going home or walking the dog. I asked for small chips and when they came out bright orange I was a little disappointed, I'm from the East Mids and I just don't get the orange chip thing! Anyhow I think my face said it all and I was asked if I was okay and I said I was hoping for normal chips ....... Bang, crash, wallop he does them on order only! I'm happy with that sir 🫶🏼

would Highly recommend, very friendly staff and food always is on point, always freshly cooked and battered chips are amazing also the mix meat and chips is 10/10, would definitely recommend this place.

Food was absolutely amazing especially the battered chips and mint yogurt sauce thank you for the two lots of sauce last time great place I've come again

Recently ordered online for delivery; reviews on the app were promising even though there were only a few. Food arrived late, in all from the point of ordering it was around 1:30hr, fobbed off with some excuse about there being an incident along the route; I don't live in a cul de sac so there's certainly diversions that don't take half an hour to reach me. This aside, the food arrived hot, and there was plenty to go around. This, however, is as good as it got. Plenty for the money is all I can say. We ordered some SF chicken with fries. I'm never quite sure if by fries they mean fries or chips, as chip shop style takeaways are usually one or the other. They were fries, but they were dreadful. Cardboard is the best way to describe them. The chicken wasn't cooked fresh. It had that hard brown outer fleshy bit you get when you refry chicken that has already been cooked. This is aside from the fact that it was so salty that we couldn't eat it. In the bin it went. We also ordered mixed kebabs, one came with chips (not fries) and the other came with 'pita bread' (as the app said, it was infact a dry stale flat bread, completely unremarkable). The lamb doner was OK, dry, and not exactly bursting with flavour. The chicken, both Mediterranean and Tikka, were boring. Nothing exciting. Something to fill a void. The chips were OK, pappy, soggy, no crisp to them, a bit greasy, akin to orange chips but not really good enough for the title. Salad came separately to the kebabs, so it was a case of add your own. Again, run of the mill. Bit of cucumber, lettuce, white cabbage, and red onion. Overall, it was a massive waste of my time and money. I'd been to Kents years ago and remember it as being really good food. I can only presume it's someone else who is running the shopfront now as none of those memories rang true for me. Won't be returning. I'm sick to death of local takeaways that exist purely to line the pockets of shysters with absolutely no pride in what they are serving. This is one of them. They don't care about what rubbish you get as long as it's making them money. Don't eat here. Don't make these con artists rich.

Omg the pizza absolutely amazing .soft base but crisp sides loads topping. Cheesy .omg so happy won't use no were else now fir pizza

Think the ownerships changed, my 2nd visit since . Some chips were still raw inside, flavour was greasy & the pie must have been sitting for ages as the pastry was dry & crispy, the lid had clearly been sitting on grease. I now go to nemos which is so good

Not bad food, but could be better. The chips were a bit on the greasy side and the sausage was absolutely disgusting. Service is nice, I'm told. But I had to wait outside, in the rain as there's no access for wheelchairs.

Awful , cold food , spent over £40 on a massive family order charging what they like , £5 for chips and gravy In a tray and £.350 for a bap and chips with about 10 chips slow service honestly the worse experience ever , I don’t write reviews very often but this one was worth doing go elsewhere .

Best takeaway in Dudley Bussell friendly and good food they making food whatever you want. I’m good service God bless them.

If I could give it zero I would the chips weren't cooked hard as anything ended up putting them in the air fryer The battered sausage tasted stale was awful like it had been sat under the heater for way too long The mush peas damn they were sweet Definitely won't be going there again

The kebabs here are very tasty, the chips very nice and crispy. The fish is very tasty but maybe a bit small but cooked really well.

Fish very expensive and too much batter. Chips were very nice. Low mark due to size of what was supposed to a large cod. We get better value from Nemo on five ways. Won't use this business again.

Visited for first time for a pizza. Although overall taste was ok, it may aswell have been cheese & tomato for the amount of topppings! 15 inch with about 5 piecesof pepperoni and even less pineapple!

New Management was very cooperative and the food menu has completely changed to a new menu and food was really nice!Highly recommended

This place has slowly gone downhill the last few years and now i think its hit rock bottom. Chips were burnt pie was luke warm and soggy. The service was terrible clearly no experience from the 2 guys running the shop struggling to wrap the chips i wish id took photos before chucking the whole lot in the bin after 2 bites.

Every time I have been the staff are friendly and polite. The food is very good and they are quick.

Tried this place after looking at the reviews, as Nemos doesn’t do fried chicken anymore (apparently they can’t get the chicken portions…) strange excuse I know. But hey ho - Kents Tuck Inn is my new regular for chicken and chips :) A*

This used be the place to go for a chip shop tea. Seriously gone down hill of recent. Last few experiences from here have not been anything to rave on about. Decided not use this again after a very disappointing chicken and mushroom pie and chips bought on 27.01.21. Pie was dry and over cooked and the chips tasted of old oil and also overcooked. Prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. It's a pity, this was my local chippy but not anymore. In response to your reply, I didn't come in, my friend did. Check your CCTV for around 6.30pm, he is wearing a grey woollen hat and ordered large chips, chicken and mushroom pie and steak and kidney pie, cost of £8. Not a false review.

Usually do a reasonable fish and chips but on 18/7/20 had my worst fish and chips ever. Chips were bits of potato full of grease and fish was mostly batter. At £6.50 it was a total waste of money and ending up going in the bin. Phoned the shop who aoplogised and blamed it on the batch of potatoes offering to compensate with a bag of chips. No Thanks! If the potatoes and/or the fish are not up to standard send them back but don't sell to the customer ortherwise they will find alternative places to shop for their fish and chips and leave honest but poor reviews.

Made an order threw a justeat 13 pounds worth so not a small order I was sat on my sofa not 5 feet from the door all night order never arrived called them the next day they said no one answered the door and they rang a number that neither me or my partner recognise they told me take my complaint to just eat who advised me to take complaint to the restaurant who advised us to contact them at 7am I mean seriously some of us do have kids and jobs to worry about in the morning why is so hard just to get a refund we didn't receive food so I expect my money back not to be given the runaround 😤

How changeable can the same place be? First tried this place 2 weeks ago and good freshly cooked plain chips. Tonight probably the worst chips ever tasted, along with roe and scallops. Batter tasted very weird but chips (although 'freshly cooked') appeared and tasted as though cooked three or four times. Made me and family feel ill. Sorry, never again.

Very nice chippy, food is always amazing and fresh. The staff are amazing and make you laugh every time you go in especially Luke. Love this chippy so much ❤️ I'll be using this chippy till I die x

Absolutely terrible food I wouldn't feed it to my dog, I had a kebab and chips at about 1.30 pm kebab was from the day before, Told By Manager its fresh yeah right stay well away or be very poorly, just advice please listen

Great fish and chips. Never tried the pizzas but they will have competition now that pizza hut has opened up opposite.
