Had good experience with the food and delivery. Great place, will go again

Really impressed. Lamb curry was class. Used to be in the Michelin Guide, so no shock it’s very decent.

Overall a great experience. The food was of Michelin guide standard and the service was excellent. Having eaten at Michelin Indian restaurant across the UK, this needs a mention.

It was incredibly crowded and busy. The staff seemed more interested in serving the takeaways than the people in the restaurant. Service was slow and the staff impatient and stressed. My (French) partner, unfamiliar with Indian food, tried to ask questions and was rebuffed abruptly. Not a relaxing experience at all.

Kennington Tandoori always have a presence at the Oval for Test matches and other big game. Always one of my favourite choices. Been meaning to visit the restaurant for years.However we are not that local (west London). Happened to be in Westminster last night so walked over the bridge to eat at the restaurant. Excellent, most enjoyable. Highlights were the Sifri Paneer (chargrilled) and an aubergine and potato dish.

Delicious dinner here last month and a really good takeaway this evening. The lamb vindaloo and prawn puri are my favourites. Definitely the best and most consistent takeaway option in Kennington/Elephant

We came here for lunch and our waiter Syed took excellent care our table. Any question was followed up by awonderful and helpful reply. Very friendly and helpful 10 out of 10!

The Chicken Tikka dish is amazing. The meat was tasty, not too saggy but just right - full with flavor and spicy ingredients. We had a lovely evening and my friends will definitely hear about the restaurant.

I ordered chicken bhuna and Tarka Dal lentils. The dishes tasted fresh, authentic and somewhat refined. Not oily. Free from artifical colouring. The choice of indian desserts is reduced but they have sorbets. I will definitely order again.

Amazing food! As someone who has never really had Indian food before, from being scared it will be too hot, I was pleasantly surprised. Apart from not being too hot it was delicious.

Whenever I visit London, I make it a point to indulge myself at Kennington Tandoori without fail. The cuisine they offer is absolutely stunning, arguably the finest Indian food I've ever experienced. The ambiance is also incredibly welcoming and friendly. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

This establishment offers one of the most exquisite Indian dining experiences in the region, if not beyond! Additionally, their naan bread stands out as the best in London by a significant margin.

I was a guest at a Birthday party celebration, our staff were most polite and obliging. We chose different meals, all delicious and arriving together.

Haven't eaten in the restaurant but I did order a dinner from KT (via hungry house) a few days ago - and it was amazing.But that's not whats prompted me to write about it, its the fact that 2 days later it tastes equally amazing. I probably shouldn't be eating it so long afterwards, but it's genuinely that good.

Opened our takeaway tonight and before even tasting I knew that they are making more effort and are changing things. Food delivered very hot and fresh, tasted great and will be ordering more frequently as long as the quality stays this way. Well done guys! Ordered a takeaway from here and the chicken tikka masala is just completely watered down it drowned my whole dinner and ended up in the bin. It was completely tasteless. From the reviews I was excited to try but will avoid at all costs.

The food is delicious, and the service is nice. It is a hidden gem. There is food for vegetarians, people less tolerant to spice and people who love spice.

Tikka tastes like tomato soup. Dansak wasn’t very sweet or sour. Naan lacked coconut flavours. Reasonable food, but at that price, would expect better.

They have the best onion bhajees! Ordered many times over the years, the standard is always high, especially when you order straight from the website.

Appalling service. Waited an hour for food. Tried calling. Rang through twice. When restaurant answered and we asked them for a status, they hung up. They have our money and we have no food and they’re not picking up their phone. Feels like a scam.

Food tasted so good, just a shame about the wait time and temperature.

Biriyani was ok. Gave some “dal curry” which I didn’t order. And the chicken curry was not that great.

Have had take outs and eat ins at the KT for a good few years now. Always reliable and great value.Take out tonight was outstanding - splendid breads, chicken tandoori and goan lamb- samosa and prawn puri also very good. Great treat after a long drive down from the North!

Ordered a chicken curry. Chicken was Raw… pink and slimy on the inside. Thankfully I checked before eating and hopefully I don’t get sick from trying the sauce! Absolutely unacceptable.

By far the best chicken biryani I’ve eaten, the portions are huge plus they send a generous portion of dhal soup with it that is also delicious. The price is very good, I’ve lost counting on how many times I’ve ordered it. I’ll for sure ordering it again very soon!

Haven’t been here since the late 80’s l, so visited yesterday on my return to the area. Decor has certainly been upgraded, but was very pricy for the size. It would appear that they just plop the ordered meat in the sauce at the last second. It was alright enough and the naan was very good. Service was ok.

Delivery man was very rude. He tried to call me and he couldn’t get. There is one bell outside my house, he can ran that. I clearly mentioned that in my note. Very disappointed. Otherwise food is awesome

Order arrived early (30 minutes!). Food was hot, flavourful and overall great quality. Can’t wait to order again!

Ordered takeout after having passed this spot many times and heard good things - worst chicken tikka masala of my life! So so sweet and tasted like a can of pasta sauce. Black dal was undercooked and crunchy (though at least a lot more appetising than the chicken). Only saviours were naan and samosa chaat. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

My sea food is always a brilliant choice. At dinner they have a take out meal deal and their sit in menu is massive for choice! We always get Tandoori Grills here and it's one of the best places for it 😍🙌

Stale biryani. Old masala from refrigerator was used and mixed with rice. Would not recommend.

Food was lovely, I was pleasantly surprised. Service was good too, it's a shame they didn't clear the table before bringing mains the table didn't have enough space for everything. It's a small restaurant, which I don't mind, but the lighting is so dark, i found it a little off-putting. Other than that, no concerns. I'd still go back!

Well the decor is great, the staff friendly enough, but the food is a disappointment. It's just lumps of meat in a generic, tepid sauce. The nan read was tiny and rice portions small.

One of the worst Indian restaurants I've been to in London. Their food was extremely bland, threir paneer was very hard and rubbery. The only thing I liked was the naan. Moreover, they had a minimum order size in their restaurant. So be prepared to order a couple of extra things if you have a small appetite. To top it all off, they have a hefty service charge. My review might be a bit too harsh but there's plenty of better options in London.

Banging curry completely stuffed

As world renowned author, Harry Potter’s creative mind, J.K. Rowling has dined in and mentioned this place in her book, Lethal White, the Kennington Tandoori is a gem, Michelin guide recommended, Indian restaurant in London. Owners hosted us for the dinner and has a great time and company with my son. Good food, clean and cozy atmosphere, hospitality and good company; what else would one to ask to have a nice dinner with loved ones. Definitely recommend Kennington Tandoori to have nice Indian meals and conversations with your family and friends.
