Absolutely lovely experience. Food was outstanding and the drinks clearly so well thought out, staff were incredible. Can’t wait to be back!!!

A wonderful discovery. Great food in a nice setting with super attentive staff. As a group of 6 it was very difficult to find somewhere local for an early morning brunch that allowed reservations - so glad we stumbled across this place.

The garden restaurant was wonderful, but We were all taken aback by the food, we found the expectation from the description quite different from what we received. It was fresh and the meat quite tasty, but was quite dry, and when raised with the owner, the comment was dismissed, stating this is how Persian food is served! The feta starter with herbs was a total surprise!! Comprising of a bowl of feta cheese with a bunch of mixed herbs with a couple of walnuts and about a dozen pomegranate seeds, and some slices a baguette. No authentic flatbread, and quite expensive!! I do not believe will be revisiting Amici

Delicious wine and tasty, authentic persian food. Good size helpings; not too much rice as can be the case.

We booked a table quite spontaneously, but got a space in the nice courtyard, which was quiet and very beautiful. The food was delicious and staff super friendly and helpful when we could not decide between two different drinks. The Persian ice cream was amazing!! We’ll definitely be back.

Really nice restaurant with a lovely garden for summer days/nights. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. There are so many options in the menu so definitely coming back to try more!

This is truly Kennington's best kept secret. A warm, family-run atmosphere and beautiful traditional food & drink. The biggest highlight however is the secret garden - a sun trap full of flowers and vibrant colours - One could almost convince themselves they were truly in the backstreets of Sorrento.

As usual, warm reception, very friendly and helpful staff, interesting menu with plenty of unusual dishes at very reasonable prices. A shame it was too cold to sit in the courtyard!

We had a very nice dinner at Doost@Amici. The service was great and very attentive. The food was fresh and well prepared. We had been so satisfied that we came back two times. If we would have stayed longer, we would have been returning a third time. Very recommendable.

Such lovely hosts and service-we opted to sit outside as the indoor part of restaurant was empty and lacked ambiance ( could do with dimmer lights and candles) - great service, good tasty food with great range on the menu. They lit a gas fire to keep us warm. They provided a cake with a candle for my daughter’s birthday. Immaculate clean and nice loos. Just a shame there weren’t more people….and the Persian bread was a little disappointing.

Absolutely gorgeous food! My partner is raving about the wagyu burger, you need to try it! The owner is so nice and spent time chatting with us about the history of the restaurant. She advised me to try some traditional seasoning with my rice and it was so full of flavour! We 100% recommend this local restaurant where the service is impeccable and the food is divine. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely setting and nice food, if on the expensive side. However, sadly the service was not great which was distracting. They clearly didn't have enough staff and the ones that were working were pleasant but really hard to get their attention. We weren't told about additional costs to the dish which came as a surprise on the bill.

Consistent outstanding and very friendly service. Oysters have been delicious the 2 times I have ordered them. The secret garden is in the back so no traffic noise, has a nice atmosphere, tables are socially distant. Menu is Mediterranean (Italian, French, Spanish...). Good value. I go back regularly.

Booked Amici for a birthday meal with a few friends This restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were incredibly lovely and friendly! They really did make the evening a great one by making us feel welcome, warm and comfortable! They surprised me with a birthday cheer, cocktail and treat which was so heartwarming and lovey! We all left with full bellies and big smiles! The food is absolutely delicious!!! Fresh quality ingredients seasoned and cooked to perfection! The courtyard/ secret garden is stunning, spacious and private! I cant wait to see what it will be like in the summer! We will definitely be visiting again and I will be recommending this place to more friends as it was a 10/10 experience!

We had a lovely evening and our waiter (probably the boss I think) was absolutely brilliant. I would have given 5 stars but we were a little bit disappointed by how many things the kitchen had run out of - oysters, all the desserts except for baba au rhum, several bottles of wine. Also, the truffle chips had zero truffle flavour. Apart from that it was top notch and we would return again to try the things we wanted to but couldn't.

This is our favourite restaurant! The Mediterranean food is excellent and the service is always very warm and friendly. In reasonable weather, the garden courtyard is a lovely, colourful and peaceful setting for an outdoor lunch or dinner.

We went here for our anniversary meal, mainly because of the 'secret garden' location the venue promised. Although the location was very nice, two other establishments occupied the same courtyard. This would not have been such a major factor except for the fact that at least one of the establishments (a cafe) was much, much cheaper and on first introduction their staff were a lot more welcoming: we had battled through traffic to get to Amicis and when we got there 15 minutes late, despite calling half an hour ahead of our booking to let them know we would be late, we received an extremely frosty reception. The reason given for this was that they were extremely busy and our lateness would inconvenience them. However, the place was practically empty for the whole time we were there. That being said, the Octopus starter and the burger which comprised our main meal was very nice. The other main meal and the waldorf salad really was nothing at all special and not particularly substantial. The wine was also very overpriced. I don't think the food really justifies the price tag and fine dining might be a bit of a stretch. The atmosphere was pleasant but not exactly vibing. The restaurant had asked us to write a review and the manager was very nice in the end, but I can't help feeling they may have been a little overconfident. The establishment seemed very clean and covid-secure though. In short, if it is the location you were going for and you are a keen home chef- try the cafe next door instead.

Seated in shade. They were resistant to move us. Food pre ordered via text but they forgot one of the orders. Guests who arrived after us were served before which was very frustrating. Eventually agreed to move us to the sun. Food arrived but no cutlery. We had to remind them. Food very tasty but service pretty chaotic. Good food, brush up on the service and I might return. Wouldn't go out of my way to recommend at this stage

The secret garden is beautiful and cosy. We ate well, even though many dishes from the menu were running out. Great service. I'll definitely go back.

Sensational meal - so good we had dessert x2 !!!

I got my dish and it was on time and was all good timing and was not a long wait but when I went to get a bite I found a life fish moving around my plate , I was disgusted and threw up all over the place because I felt sick , I went to the toilet and it had poo smeared up the walls and wee on the floor I don’t recommend this

Great pizza and cocktails! Would recommend but go hungry

Great atmosphere in the sunny back courtyard. Friendly efficient service as always. Both the mushroom and the avocado brunch bruschettas were delicious with really fresh ingredients. Chardonnay was also very tasty and well priced.

Went for lunch with a friend on a Saturday, my first trip out following the lockdown. Perfectly lovely al fresco dining in their secret garden, from a tasty menu of pizza and pasta and a variety of delicious bruschetta plus attention to safety without ever feeling oppressive and charming, good spirited staff where nothing was too much trouble - perfect for these times. We stayed in the garden chatting for more than 4 hours after our lunch without any pressure to leave from the owners. I will certainly return.

Amazing food, and the best creme brûlée in London!

STAFF - Funny and attentive, my friend got a bit lost and they were helpful with giving me directions. They were also very helpful with letting me know the specials of the day, and asking any questions I had which were a lot as I have new dietary requirements that I'm still adjusting to. FOOD - The food was DE-LI-CIOUS! Proper traditionally made food you could taste the love. My one complaint was that the Ravoli portion was very small for a main, if we had known we may have considered the option to order a side salad or fries. I also wished there were a few more toppings on my pizza. LOCATION AND LAYOUT - I loved the little reception bit before you enter the main restaurant, having somewhere to hang your coat or sit and read magazines while you wait made it feel really homely. The toilets were nice, the chairs were comfortable.

I was meeting two friends and it was lovely to be greeted at the door and shown to our seats. The service was excellent, the food was really tasty and the whole atmosphere was great. We were able to talk without either the worry of being overheard or the noise from other customers. We weren't hassled by the staff at all and only when they knew we had finished our meal did they come over to clear the plates and to find out if we wanted anything else - that was perfect.

I love Amici, it's a great local restaurant. Fantastic pizza and pasta with a splendid brunch at weekends. The absolute gem of this place is the internal courtyard, it makes you feel like your on holiday with the bonus of no noise for the busy street outside. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. We booked Amici for a wedding anniversary lunch. Having read the postive reviews and being new to the area, we were keen to discover a nice local restaurant. We were not disappointed. Amici is indeed a little gem with a beautiful courtyard at the back that transports you from Kennington to the Mediterranean as soon as you sit down. Our family group varied in age from 20 to 90 and the well thought out yet varied menu had something for everyone. It was also good to see that a great, good value brunch menu was also available which from what I could see served will certainly warrant a return visit in the near future. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable without being intrusive and the owner who stopped by the table to speak with us was also charming and great fun. All in all, a winning combination - great food and wine, great staff and a lovely atmosphere. Well done Amici. Already looking forward to next time.

My friend brought me here recently and I loved it that much that I had to bring my boyfriend just 2 weeks later. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is really tasty and I will definitely keep recommending it to other people. We sat in the outdoor courtyard, which is a sun trap surrounded by pretty pastel buildings. It's nice to find somewhere in London that seems so calm. I had the lime, feta and avocado on sourdough and my boyfriend had the full English. Both were lovely. So happy to have found a nice brunch place close to home.

Love this place. The menu has all the Italian favourites plus more besides. Pizzas are perfect with a proper Italian dough and their risottos are excellent too. Very friendly service with lots of interesting seasonal specials on the menu that they are happy to talk you through. We have been coming back to Amici again and again. Can’t go wrong here.

Amici was closed for nine months in order to recover from flooding. It is now open again with a new chef from Naples offering a limited menu (four starters, four pasta, four meat/fish) of beautifully presented dishes. £25 to £35 for three courses plus drinks. Cheerful service. In warm weather (!) one can eat in the courtyard. Worth a visit.

Dishes well presented and very tasty, but 'nouvelle cuisine' means helpings which, while OK for us oldies, are a bit meagre for healthy younger appetites. Noise levels from other tables a bit troublesome for us to hear.

If you are looking for a relaxing and friendly atmosphere this is the right place for you! The staff is super friendly and make you feel at home while you enjoy some really tasty food! Ticks all the boxes!

Un descubrimiento agradable en Vauxhall (Londres) era este restaurante barrio super amable, muy sabroso y un poco moderno. Escondido en un hermoso vecindario, nuestros anfitriones nos hicieron sentir como en su exclusiva preocupación de (local) - Visita de teatro. La comida era lo mejor, pero los propietarios y el personal era increíble, un equipo de personas dedicadas. Hizo la visita muy especial. El entorno, por cierto, está limpio, ordenado y cálido. Espero poder volver pronto.

It was our first visit to Amici since it reopened. I found the restaurant a little bleak and devoid of atmosphere while the midweek menu was uninspiring and over priced for what it was. We weren’t totally disheartened, the staff were excellent so we will probably try it again one weekend to see if it then proves a better dinning experience.

A good place for lunch - although the food was good it did come at a price, partly due to the fact that the Test Match was on at the Oval.

Al principio pensé que esto era una broma como todo el restaurante estaba completamente vacío y dentro fuera estaban ocupadas sólo alrededor de 10 mesas con al menos como muchos gratis. Cuando señalamos a ella dijo que muchas personas que habían llegado al mismo tiempo. Uno pensaría que cualquier restaurante merezca la pena si realmente contento de tener el negocio. Este lugar solía estar lleno. Yo señalamos a ella y ella bastante grosera dijeron "no quieres estar o dejar entonces? Cuando pedí hablar con el gerente (quien nos solía ser en términos amables con ella dijo que haría ninguna diferencia, ya que era su marido. De hecho cuando finalmente parecía que apenas nos recibió y nos persiguieron, pero todos. Claramente un ambiente muy descontento por el momento. No estoy seguro de qué pasó aquí pero claramente la tensión entre estos dos es que conduce a una atmósfera muy descontento y convirtiéndolas de clientes potenciales de distancia, creo que mi consejo sería que evita este lugar como la peste. We asked for a table outside as the weather was nice, and they gave us a table outside. The were a little bit disappointing in terms of service, not very attentive when giving out the menus, topping up water etc but on the whole it was good and it's a great setting.

We came in as a group and most of us order the pizza, the restaurant was pretty much empty but initially we felt a little uncomfortable as they said they would have to see if they could fit us in, at no point that evening was the restaurant busy but ok not the end of the world.

Este es un verdadero hallazgo. Un restaurante italiano familiar con un personal acogedor, un variado menú con una variedad de ofertas especiales. Todos los platos estaban perfectamente preparado y la cantidad justa. La ventaja es el patio con unas 10 mesas rodeado de casas pintadas. Perfecta para un verano. El lugar estaba lleno, el viernes por la noche fuimos y el servicio es relajado pero permite que no tener prisa y disfrutar de su comida y de empresa. £25 por dos platos y vino.

Somos gente y habiendo visitado Kennington Verano Fête queríamos tomar un bocado rápido para comer que no implique un asado (era domingo) y donde podíamos aprovechar algunos asientos en el exterior. Amici parecía la solución perfecta. El servicio era muy lento y parece nuestro camarero nunca habían visto antes (menú nos preguntó a repetir la orden tantas veces y miraba perplejo en el menú después de cada elemento). Después de 15 minutos me dieron amplio de jerez. Que hubiese sido bien no pedí una copa de Verdicchio, que el camarero falló para decirnos estaba disponible (junto con el vino mi marido pidió una copa de). Miedo hicimos nuestra excusas y a la izquierda.

Amici has a lovely courtyard that's perfect now the weather is warming up, so we went specifically to be able to eat outside. However, while we were there I remembered just how good the food is, and how reasonable. At c. £10 for a main course, it's not a big outlay for a very nice meal. It was very busy when we ate, and the staff seemed a little under pressure - probably everybody in the area had had the same idea as us - so there was quite a wait towards the end of the meal for drinks, dessert and then the bill, but to be honest we were quite happy to sit there. I'd definitely recommend it.

Disfruté de una comida Amici pero era todo muy tranquilo con sólo 6 personas comer esa noche, lo cual era inusual para un jueves. El personal era muy amable, pero la comida le faltaba ese verdadero gusto italiano que cabe esperar de un negocio familiar establecido. La Pizza Express interesante al lado estaba muy ocupado tal vez eso lo dice todo. Probé el cangrejo y chili tagliatelle, que estaba bien, pero tuvimos que buscar el cangrejo carne"" vienen en chef puedes encontrar algo mejor.

Kennington Road zona tiene: tanto el Papa John's Pizza y Pizza Hut para llevar en el espacio de 200 metros, en este espacio y quisiera añadir al lado de Amici es una pizza Express ... Kennington tiene un montón de opciones de pizza, pero aunque prefiero visitar establecimientos independientes: mi novia y yo llamé para pedir una Naughty hasta tarde en la noche de pizza para llevar de Amici. Nos dijeron que los dos pizzas estaría preparado para la recogida en menos de 10 minutos, 35 minutos más tarde los dos pizzas estaban listos y estábamos hambrientos, llegué a casa y mi bondad eran unos 6-7 " pizzas. Era una broma. Eran como platos secundarios. Después de llamar y explicar la situación me dijeron que no podían hacer nada. Nunca volveremos y tan poca establecimiento como Amici no debería existir en Kennington.

I've eaten here numerous times and always really enjoyed everything. The crab linguine is particularly good but I've never had a bad meal.

Pedí dos pizzas para colección hace una semana: una hasta helados hechos y una Margarita. A pesar de que yo había convenido en un tiempo para recogerlos, me di cuenta de que cuando llegué en el restaurante no lo habían puesto mi pedido por como me tenía que esperar más de 10 minutos para ellos. Mientras espera, el barman, nunca me preguntó si me gustaría tener una bebida mientras espera o tener una sentarse. Por cierto, la falta de compromiso del personal siempre ha sido algo constante. Me pregunto si tienen algún tipo de formación. Luego, cuando mi pizza llegó me llevé a casa. Se les veía terrible, la especie de pizza que te dan en trampas para turistas en todo el mundo. El jamón y casi no tenía hasta helados hechos por primera vez en mi vida he visto una pizza Margherita sin albahaca en la cima. Es una lástima que no pagar una visita a este restaurante italiano local más.

Last night was a birthday meal, and I emailed ahead saying as much and the girls at Amici very kindly organised a birthday dessert which was great. My starter, chicken liver crostini (that days special) was sublime. Flavoursome and delicious. I then had a pizza, and it was very good. Stone baked, with a good base. Unfortunately the tiramisu fell down. The lady fingers were dry and it wasn't set. But oh well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad. The service was great, both waitresses were very friendly and made sure we were happy. Overall, we were so happy with our evening, and will definitely return.

Just had a lovely afternoon at Amici, where the family celebrated my daughter's fifth birthday. The food was excellent: great antipasti and a first-class pasta dish. The staff even put up balloons and birthday bunting, and were very friendly and helpful. Good value too. Justin

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times in the last couple of years and you were always greeted warmly followed by a fantastic meal. However, after the last one I won't be going back. The staff were dressed as if they were settling down for a night in front of the TV. Big wooly cardigans and leggings. Their knowledge of the menu was minimal and they seemed quite disinterested anyway. The bruschetta can only be described as bland tomatoes on thin bread and when asked to bring some olive oil, was left until it went cold to get it. Main meal ditto. Oh the desert was even worse the tiramisu consisted of dry biscuits and sloppy cream. When we complained and left it after 1 mouthful we were assured it would be taken off of the bill it wasn't. All in all, a meal for my mums birthday turned out to be one best forgotten.

Very good Lasagna. Pretty empty on a Monday night, which gave me pause, as London area is bustling. Also, they do not take American Express, and would not accept VISA without a chip!

Comimos aquí el sábado pasado y nos quedamos muy contentos de poder sentarse al aire libre en el patio encantador, que se encuentra entre este restaurante y otros edificios vecinos, todos son bajitos pintado en colores pastel. Teniendo en cuenta que tienen un espacio al aire libre, parece una pena que los dueños del restaurante no sacar el mayor provecho de ella. Plantas no eran aguadas, recipientes parecía abandonada, estufas de patio era viejo y oxidado: tales resultar ineficaz.
