Kelpie Cafe in Aberdeenshire

Can’t find a more welcome place for a delicious coffee and a scone. Plenty of vegetarian options available with amazingly tasty soup choice. Bonus is that dogs are most welcome. Set in amazing scenery - what more could you ask for

Have been here a few times. came across it by accident and it is an amazing wee cafe. Have tried coffee and scone ( amazing), baked potato ...very good... and all day breakfast which filled me up until bedtime!! xxx

Made a couple of visits to the Kelpie Cafe. Homemade soup, all day brekkie, sandwich? All GREAT! Would be a lovely place for a family visit too. Friendly, informal and prompt service. Ideal.

A cafe that is doing so much good for the local community. Lovely staff and a fabulous, colourful garden to feel, smell and enjoy. Nice food, nice people, great service.

Lovely little place, a real gem with a great outdoor space and garden. My friend and I both had the baked potatoes with topping and salad, really good and good value. Lovely staff and quick service, will definitely be back.

Stopped for a late morning Coffee and bacon roll. Lovely setting sitting outside and food & drink were value for money. To add to that the service was great.

Walk along the main street in Banff and turn in to the grounds of Banff Castle and there you will find this cafe tucked away where you might not think to look. It isn't very big inside but there are also some tables outside which are very nice on a sunny day. I ordered coffee and cake and was pleased with both. There were other people there who clearly were regulars, which is always a good sign. And you can stroll through the castle grounds afterwards. Definitely worth a visit.

Every other month the Deveron Walking Group ends up here in the grounds of Banff Castle for well earned refreshments when it’s a Banff walk. Great to enjoy tea outside on a sunny day or inside if not. Lovely home baked treats and tea served in nice china.

Stopped here for lunch, we had soup and a sandwich which we both enjoyed. Nice atmosphere friendly staff. There was plenty cakes on display so would be good for morning coffees or afternoon teas will be back

Good small cafe that do a lovely soup and sandwich. Fairly busy at lunchtime so arrive early or you may have to wait. Nice atmosphere and good to support a local charity

Visited the Kelpie Cafe in the freezing cold weather of November and was welcomed by a lovely warm fire and very friendly helpful staff. The scones were delicious and baked fresh that day, also lovely cakes to temp the hungry traveller. Well worth a visit!

The Kelpie Café is small quiet unique café offering a selection of freshly made soups, sandwiches, burgers, breakfasts, cakes, and daily specials. The Café is a project developed by the IDEA initiative promoting community based day services through partnership working. The quality of the food is exceptional, well priced, fresh, tasty and varying, everything is home made and in all the times I have been there I could not fault a thing. Must visit if in Banff as probably the best food at the best price.
