Karachi Tandoori in Dundee City

Great wee local takeaway and pretty affordable at £14 for a 12” munchy Box and the tandoori chicken was packed with flavour. Only deduction is that the doner meat and pita bread were cold and chewy when served. Would definitely come back to try their wraps and curries which are highly recommended.

Unbelievable, the first authentic curry that I've had in Dundee, surpassing even the more popular restaurants by a substantial amount. Do not sleep on this place, in terms of thier curry options, I would place it in the top 2 in terms of quality and flavour that I've ever tasted. Go here for a takeaway that tastes like a 5 star restaurant prepared it.

I enjoyed the grilled charcoal chicken, with chicken I ordered cheese NAn which I am not at all satisfied with, putting cheese on the top of plain Nan is not a cheese Nan, felt like you are trying to fool a customer, I regret for paying cheese nan

Food was ok. Naan bread did not taste freshly made. Driver tried it on, asking me to pay for delivery charge that I had already paid for on Just Eat

Food tasted good and was delivered quite hot but it will be much better to have less food colourings added.

First time I went to a place that encouraged me to leave and informed me that their food is not that good...lol....they were also adamant that the cuisine was not authentic and actively convinced me to go to another restaurant.

The food was lovely. The delivery was not. The delivery driver telephoned me as he couldn’t find my address, but his English was poor so we couldn’t understand each other. I had to telephone the shop who sorted this out quickly. When the delivery driver arrived with my order, he almost threw my order at me, gave me a filthy look and left, muttering under his breath in his own language. I will, unfortunately, not use Karachi Tandoori again. The food is lovely, but I will not be insulted.

Ordered a pizza earlier for tea before I start my nightshift,waited forever on it then witnessed the just eat driver coming up my path with the pizza in a carrier bag carrying it side ways as if it was a bag of shopping,opened my front door to be handed it this way also,reminded the driver that box should be carried flat,he replied I know,I said well you should be carrying it flat then and not side ways,came in the house opened the box and the whole pizza had slid down to the bottom of the box,no topping left on it and the pizza resembled road kill, absolutely disgusting,needless to say the whole thing went in the bin box an all,thought I would eat some of the chips,but no they were stone cold,so I’m now off to my nightshift starving,I order from here a lot but this is definitely the last time as the service /food hasn’t been the best the last few times

second time for food order, nice curries and rice, nan had started to go hard 4star, pre ordered early but still little bit late to deliver 10-15min hence 3stars, would still order again when in Dundee.

Chicken tikka and spicy mince pizza was delivered early but rather cold, the base was doughy and the cheese was too thick , chips were overdone , 19 pound down the drain , bought it based on reviews which i believe are written by delusional people

Ordered at 6:30. Estimated delivery 7:10-7:30pm. 7:35pm got the notification it had been delivered, called & was told it would be a couple of minutes. Waited another 10 & called, was told the driver tried to deliver but no one answered. Driver called but he was at the wrong house, he eventually got here after some directions, then the driver says he wants extra money for getting lost and arriving nearly 2hrs after order? got veg pakoras instead of chicken as well.

I ordered pizza for my students, they loved it so much and I loved it especially the base was so crunchy and the topping was amazing 😋highly recommended

We previously go to Karachi to get their wraps which are amazing. The portions are big for the price and the staff are nice and friendly. They recently expanded their menu with more curries and dishes and it's so good!!!!! The curries I've tried so far are rich and delicious. My new favourite place to get indian food in Dundee. Must try!!

Chips were under cooked, soggy and had to put them in the air frier to cook through. Curry a bit cold but overly all okay

I have ordered many times from here and have always loved the food. Tonight was a different story doner and chips so greasy and soggy, the curry’s definitely did not taste as they usually do (I was actually unable to eat them) they didn’t have any flavour to them, chicken burger was burnt. I asked the shop to come and collect it they have refused and actually hung the phone up on me! Like I said I have ordered from here lots of times but tonight has been very disappointing.

I didn't choose well but that will not stop me ordering again. Prompt delivery, extremely large portions - just love a two-day meal - and kindly delivery man. I'll try something different next time as I was experimenting, I do wish across the board there was a description somewhere of what the ingredients are to make choosing easier.

Have to say that Karachi Tandoori has to be up there with best carry out food in Dundee. Chicken Tikka Shahi Bhuna and Tandoori Egyptian Kabab were both amazing, staff friendly and polite and priced really well.

Home delivery We have ordered from here for a few years now and always enjoyed the food. We did notice the last couple of times that the 1/2 tandoori chicken was a bit spicier.. but it was ok. Last night, however, both the 1/2 tandoori chicken and the chicken tikka were r e a l l y spicy... too hot for me so I couldn't have any. I ended up with a bit of garlic nan & sauce and was hungry an hour later! Even my partner, who doesn't mind spicy food, said it was "a bit uncomfortable". Daughter also said she didn't want any. It's a shame but we won't be ordering from here again, I'm afraid the food is just too hot now and not enjoyable and spending over £40 wasn't fun. If you do like hot/spicy.. (make sure you've plenty of milk in the fridge hot) this is the place for you.

The food was nice. Was delivered very quickly too. But the kebab on the naan had very little donner on it. I've had more meat on a micro kebab. 😱

We were sent a gift of a meal tonight from one of my sons from Karachi Tandoori Dundee. Absolutely brilliant quality, delivered hot, great flavours and fantastic portions. Well done Karachi you smashed it guys.

Mixed kebab no doner so bit bad experience

Partner got pepperoni pizza, have never seen him spitting one out before after just one bite 🤢 says something off with the pepperoni. Kebab was tasteless and full of grizzle. Only good things was the chicken nuggets and korma. Chips were hard and undercooked. Deff wouldn't order again was of £50

Best tasty curries so far I had in scotland, food was hot and fast delivery, big nan, 3 poppadoms and sauces, veg pakoras tasty. Mains and rice good portions for one person. Would order again when in Dundee.

Ordered homestyle Sagg Gosht I even mentioned in comments box to make sure it was Asian homestyle,I couldn't eat it ,it was bland all you could taste was pepper,very disappointed in this dish ,pakora were fine and breads were fine , delivery time amazing.

Used just eat to order food was delivered early. Food was hot and tasty. I ordered a lamb bhuna and for my taste it is spot on and the lamb was tender which for me could be a hit or miss

excellent food but the time estimate for collection was confusing. initial 15 minutes but it changed to 30 after ordering. I went there after 15 minutes anyway and it was already waiting. happy about it being so fast but confused why the app said half an hour

Absolutely disgusted staff left my food with hotel reception and I didn’t get it til half an hour later they never called me to let me know they were there early and I waited outside in the cold for 20 minutes called the restaurant and they were very rude and arrogant. I want my money back I’m not paying for this the foods freezing

Used to think this Indian was really good, not been for a few years. I ordered a meal for 1 (chicken chilli masala), the curry sauce was a very basic Indian gravy with no taste and far too much chilli powder. I spent £22 all in for a meal for 1 for myself and most of it went in the bin!
