We ordered the seafood basket and chicken and fries and sat down in the tables by the entrance of the market. As l was sitting directly opposite where they were cooking my first concern was how much the food was unnecessarily overhandled whilst being prepared. Instead of tipping fries from a bowl they were scooped by the hand and patted down. I was then concerned by the lack of urgency and efficiency with which the two gentleman were preparing the food. After 40 mins, having to take my 4 yr old away to keep him entertained and people who had ordered after us being served first l asked what was happening. The answer was they only had one customer to serve all day yesterday and were a bit overwhelmed and the food was almost ready. I waited another 15 minutes then asked for a refund. I was told it was now ready and they brought it over. The sea basket was good. The fish fresh and fries crisp and hot. The chicken however was cold and overly salty, the batter on it was so soggy it fell off. I was offered a free meal to compensate but l will certainly not be returning. I do not understand how a street food vendor can take 55 minutes to deal with an order and operate so poorly. My son was starving by the time the food arrived and sorely disappointed when it did, me too!

Lunch at Kana With Kassie was beautifully cooked, tender meat, perfect rice, wonderful spicing. I sat in the front area of Oswestry market, which is under cover but I believe that you can have a takeaway. It's genuinely worth popping in to eat, good food and lovely service.

Came to eat at Cave Valley kitchens but they were closed. Encouraged to try Fijian food and boy was I pleased we did. Potato and chicken curry, fish curry and chicken pilau were delicious, tender and flavourful. The fish curry was a particular hit with my partner which is praise indeed. Will definitely eat here again. Thank you

This tiny, open to viewing kitchen, serves a delectable selection of both traditional and contemporary Fijian dishes. On approach you have the food bar (like a buffet) where the dishes are laid out in front of you, Pan Asian style, and you buy a box. Small, Medium or Large and you can fill it with whatever takes your fancy. Or there is the on-board menu. The smells travel down the street drawing you up like the Bisto Kid, then you hear the upbeat Reggae tempo of the music and could be forgiven for thinking you have dropped into The Pacific. The dressing of the stand gives you a golden sands, island feel and the hips can't stop swaying, there is laughter and loud conversation, jovility and humour. Quite unlike Oswestry's usual scene. Totally refreshing concept, a tempting feast for the senses which naturally draw you into exploring the rest of the market. I have been fed with warming spices and refreshing coconut, lime and corriander undertones. I am satisfied and have a lovely warm glow.
