First time ordering from here tonight, oh my it was the best takeaway Indian i have experienced. Definitely ordering from here again. The delivery guy was lovely also. He apologised for the wait but he wasn't late.

The food was fantastic, nice and spicy and full of exciting flavours. We had Mimi's chicken curry and the Blackened Beef Bhuna. The chicken was so tasty and had a nice kick to it, but the beef was my favourite. Dry, tender, and the fried onions and dry red chilli gave it a real depth of flavour. It's like something my nana used to cook. Only downside was I wish I had a bigger portion!! I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. Ordering was quick and easy via their website and the amazing welcome I received when picking up my food was a lovely surprise.

Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend any of the lamb dishes. Only word of warning is that everytime I've ordered a delivery it's arrived 30 mins or more later than estimate so don't wait to order!

Yelina, the hostess who hosted us was extremely warm and kind. She made us feel comfortable and even recommended me a curry, I ended up changing my mind! The atmosphere is nice and cosy, the lights aren’t too bright they’re dim but not too dark, just perfect! The food is absolutely to die for, I always order on Deliveroo so thought I’d come in today!

Was recommended this place by Indian friends, so placed my first order They're not wrong , the food is really good quality, doesn't taste like it's massed cooked , using the same base sauce for everything, really subtlety spiced and not oily or salty Slightly pricer than others , but well worth the extra few quid It'll probably be my go to Indian takeaway 👍🏻

This is the actual best place in Essex! Not only the most delicious food but the NICEST people. Came to collect and got to chill with a drink in their gorgeous reception chatting to the lovely people. Cannot recommend enough.

Update - Lamb vindaloo tonight was amazing, lots of lamb too and very tender. Nice amount of spice and heat. As a bonus I enjoyed the complimentary Chai-Masala tea I was given whilst waiting for my order on the very comfy sofa. Excellent service and very polite. 10% off on pick up orders. Older review - Got 10% off for a pick up order, ordering from the website. Nice ambiance in the shop and very friendly staff. The curry was absolutely fantastic, perfect Madras. Lots of fresh, tender lamb as well. Will certainly be back.

Phenomenal takeaway BUT.... I absolutely love this takeaway, I'm a Bilash convert! serice, portion size and taste all great. BUT... My wife is pescatarian, and the fish curry often has bones in it. We end up ordering the prawn puri starter. if they could do a prawn masala or the puri as a main size that would be great!

The best takeaway curry we’ve ever had. True quality ingredients in every dish, expertly made. As good as some of the high-end Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in London but at a great price point. The interior of the takeaway is the best I’ve ever visited and the staff were super friendly.

I just came in to get a quick takeaway but felt like i left with so much more! I was a bit taken aback by such a warm welcome 😂 but it was honestly so uplifting 🥹 and the house chai was the icing on the cake. The food was so beautifully balanced. By far the best Indian takeaway we have had! From picking up our order, all the staff were so lovely and welcoming, we even got a chai latte whilst waiting for our order (which is my fave!). Nowhere else in Chelmsford is as good as this. Superb, would highly recommend and Yelina is so helpful.

The food was delicious and very filling. My amazing friend Yelina Cole, who is a member of staff brought it back for me as a surprise and was honestly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Recommend anyone that is reading this to give this place a try. Cause they deserve all the praise.

Food delivered 20 mins late, was cold and mint sauce missing

Ordered a walk-in Friday night takeaway with staff recommendations of Khala bhuna, lamb kachi briyani and their specially marinated chops. The wait was a little long but the service staff were very welcoming, chatty and offered drinks and chai during the wait. Totally worth it. Best to order on their App for next time.

Food was over 2 hours late, not what I ordered and was cold when arrived. The communication was awful too, when I was told would be 5 mins later, it arrived 40mins later

Came here based on very good word of mouth reviews and the food and service did not disappoint. Currently planning to work my way through the Heritage menu as everything so far has been delicious and not the "standard" curry dishes from everywhere else. If for nothing else, it's well worth coming here to experience a take away with clean comfortable furniture!

Been wanting to try Kaani Kaana for a while now and finally tried tonight for the first time. What can I say, varied and unique menu, great delivery service and exceptional food. This is not the standard run of the mill curry house, good spicy food with oodles of flavour, you won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I have just had our first Kaani Kaana and it did not disappoint. I have to go as far as saying that it was one of the best Indian takeaways / meals I have ever had in my life, the meat was perfectly cooked and all the flavours were delicious. All the packaging was fully recyclable which was just the cherry on top, good for the tummy and the environment. We will be ordering again and will most definitely be recommending to family and friends! Thank you Kaani Kaana for an absolutley delightful meal.

The ambiance was amazing as was the food. Nowhere had this experience in a takeway. Very welcoming staffs, very friendly. A 10/10 on service and mostly food. AMAZING!!!

Ordered 26th October, my wife pre ordered and selected a delivery time earlier in the day which was great and food arrived on time. This is the 4th time we have ordered from this takeaway and have never been disappointed. The food is always tasty, piping hot and we have tried a variety of dishes. So the owner cannot accept the fact that i am a Bangladeshi and i reviewed their food and truth is this is not Bangladeshi or Indian cuisine at all everything was bland and lack of flavour, if you cannot accept customers reviews that helps you to improve consider to change to a different business

I'm Bengali and I am absolutely disappointed with the food, this is not indian/bengali style cuisine at all , lack of spices and everything tasted bland this is not authentic cuisine i honestly traveled to this restaurant after seeing this reviews but i dont understand where this 5 star reviews comes from

Friday 26th October 2024. This is the third time I have ordered food from Kaani kaana, firstly for those of you who are crazy about saving the planet, this establishment does not use any plastic food packaging of any kind apart from the lids for their tiny sauces pots. Everything else is food standard card packaging, they should be praised for this.. Next you can order on line any time of the day and night for when you want it, even a few days ahead, but they Will ring you if you do, thinking you have made mistake, what a super attention to detail and customer care! As for the amazing food, yet again, I chose completely different food and both myself and my friend could not believe how delicious and tasty all the food andit was and beautifully cooked to perfection. I will no longer have to visit at any other curry establiments in Chelmsford having tried them all over the last 5 years, though two have become favourites, they still cannot match the exciting effects on my taste buds that Kaani Kaana's super food has. Its beat even some of the Best I use to frequent in London. I have the K K bug, you will get it if give them a whirl...

Worst Indian takeaway we have ever had. The chicken was so dry and the food had no flavour. We waited over an hour on a Tuesday evening. So disappointing after the 5 star reviews. Avoid ordering from here.

First time here . And I've found the best Indian restaurant in Essex. Had aloo Gosht Bhuna lamb. It was so tender and was the best I've had. The staff was polite and friendly. Will I be going back. You Bet . Can't wait. If you like Indian food. Be prepared for the very best in Essex

Tried them for the first time tonight. What a delicious meal! Lamb Dhasak and Beef Shatkora. Meat was tender and flavourful. Good portion sizes. Rice that was fragrant and complemented the curry beautifully. Delivery driver was polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

I had the most incredible experience at this place! It was my first time ordering, and I wish I had discovered it sooner. From the moment I walked in, everything was perfect the place was immaculate, and the waiting area was beautifully decorated. The staff were all so nice, and the woman who greeted us was so nice and friendly . We arrived a little early, and she even offered us some delicious chai tea. And the food, I don't even have words for how phenomenal it was, especially the Green Heritage dish. The flavors were so fresh and delightful. I am definitely planning to come back again! (Was so good I forgot to take photos)

Ordered from here a few times now, every time I am surprised how fresh and delicious their food is. The meat had real flavour. The dhansak was particularly delicious. I have a peanut allergy and currently advised to not eat mustard due to national cross contamination with peanuts, I put this in order notes and the order arrived with notes on each dish saying 'no mustard ' which is very reassuring as an allergy sufferer Only downside/feedback I had was that the naan was a little dense and undercooked, also £1.50 for a tiny pot of mint sauce is a joke (although tasty) it wasn't enough for one poppadom. Would definitely order again

Consistent excellence every time I moved to Chelmsford two years ago and struggled to find a decent Indian takeaway until I’m stumbled across this gem of a takeaway. The menu is so unusual and authentic. The food is amazing and although a bit more expensive than your average takeaway the quality of ingredients and excellent service is well worth the price. They are willing to adapt orders and adjust spice levels. I have had a couple of minor issues and these were resolved immediately, both Arsha and Yelina give fantastic customer service. The Sylheti biryani, lamb shank and naga chicken wings are particular favourites. The pink house chutney looks fairly innocent but is absolute dynamite, packs a real punch. I think the rices could do with some topping up, but on the whole this place deserves all of the praise it is currently receiving. When is the restaurant coming guys?

Found when searching for a takeaway treat! A hidden gem, amazing vegan and veggie options as well as street food and traditional curry. Best in Chelmsford.

To begin with the staff at the front are absolutely fantastic and are so welcoming, I’ve honestly never had service like it! The food as well is so good I’m writing this review whilst I’m eating it, every piece of food is unreal, I personally got the Dhakai kaachi biryiani and it was fantastic! This is the best takeaway meal ive ever had full stop and you can tell that the entire restaurant really pours their heart into the meal and service, I absolutely will be coming back!

5 stars are not enough for this place! Ordered a take away yesterday and we could could not have been happier to find this gem. This restaurant offers top level Indian food. Flavours, quality and service are up there including the well presented and function packaging. I ordered the wings along with few other dishes. The wings for me were the best i have ever eaten! I'm 38 and very well fed so this is saying something. Do not miss this indian food it is not to be missed.

I have only used them as a takeaway delivery but found the food and service to be excellent. I have tried a few of the chicken dishes mainly tikka and the chilli chicken. The chicken is really tender with large pieces of meat. Service is friendly and quick. I really can’t fault it.

Our food arrived at the time requested. Very nicely cooked authentic Indian meal. Flavours were very good bearing in mind a takeaway service. Would definitely use this takeaway again.
