This was our second order and just as good as the first..my husband said it’s the best Indian I’ve eaten in 30 years..my son calls it clean food..it’s perfect not greasy..I’m a celiac and the menu is full of stuff I can Eat safely with just guessing if it’s safe..the gluten free bread is lovely..this out our new go to takeaway..staff are always friendly and very well turned out..the shop is decorated beautifully..

Ordered biryani from the heritage section and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and a big portion (at least for me). Gosht pastry was like a pasty laced with crack. Would definitely order again.

Absolutely wonderful! The interior was quite pleasant and warm, even in the cold day. The food was quite flavourful, besides the Garlic Naan, I expected more garlic taste. And the Bibi's curry needed a bit more salt, but other than that, the food was wonderful! Though, the packaging was also quite high quality for something that was one-time use, no complaints, just might be too much money for packaging. Foil would be better, as the food got cold a bit quickly.

Different level, Authentic Indian food, by far the best Indian takeaway in Chelmsford. Quality ingredients, fresh, packed with flavour. My favourites so far, the tender lamb and the tandoori king prawns.

Banging. Good healthy food here, was recommended by Lucy at HotPodYoga. Great choice! Was greated to a lovely space, well decorated, professional and looked after. Complemented with chai masala and warm reception. The lady from Cuba at the desk made great conversation whilst i was waiting for my food and gave good recommendations too! Best of luck to her on her passions with singing. Follow those dreams! Food quality was execptional. Grilled Salmon a proper healthy treat with chapatis, dips and of course the daal.

Bought two platters, about £18 each. Their webpage works surprisingly well, order can be placed directly from there. Staff was efficient and friendly. I picked thr order myself. The shop was nice and clean. Food packed nicely. Tasted well. No wonder they have so many 5 stars.

I ordered the lamb shank which was tough and very gristly, hardly any meat on it. It wasn't worth £22. Disappointed as I had heard such good things about this place, maybe I was just unlucky this time

I ordered a lamb tikka starter, it was lovely, lamb was juicy and so much flavour, it went well with the cheese nan bread. Rice was really nice as well. Unfortunately the chicken tikka masala wasn’t for me as I found it too sweet and the coconut was very overpowering. But overall delivery was quick and food was piping hot when it arrived 😊

Incredible is the only way to describe the level of this food. Not from the area but I’d happily visit again just for this food. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the quality of curry was perfect. Think you’ll struggle to find a takeaway anywhere near these guys!

I recently ordered butter naan and butter chicken from here and both were very bad in my opinion to say the least. To add some perspective, I am originally from the same region and can confidently claim that this place did not do justice to the cuisine. You literally needed to search very hard for butter in the naan and the butter chicken was extremely sweetened with coconut milk! Added to that, this place is quite pricey! I’d avoid this place.

The service on the phone was great, really friendly and helpful. The food was awesome fresh, tasty, not oily or greasy like most Indian takeaways. I wish I could leave 10 reviews for this takeaway, I genuinely have not had anything like it. No grease, actually tasted authentic and homemade, delicious choices, chicken was unlike any other chicken I’ve had from an Indian takeaway (whole lumps from an actual breast I think!!) and to top it all off. The most wonderful service. My partner and I went in after they had closed, but they still wanted to show us the quality of their food and was kind enough to let us takeaway after 10. Lovely bunch of people in there, will 100% be going back for a huge takeaway.

The best curry I have ever had ! From walking in and being greeted by the loveliest ladies, to ordering and being recommended items. The hospitality is second to none. Offered the most delicious Masala Chai which was only an indicator to the quality and deliciousness to come. The food … the food was another level. Meat was tender and fell apart, the curry was flavourful. All warm freshly prepared and I will 100% be going back.

Having used Kaani Kaana for many many takeaways since opening we’re always very happy with the quality of food. However, this Saturday just gone the meal took 2 hours to arrive and was 1 hour past the estimated time. On arrival the poppadoms were stale as was the naan bread. Very underwhelming meal.

We ordered a take away on Christmas Eve and the food was delicious. The staff were so helpful which is so rare nowadays. Will definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu. Thank you 😊

We placed an order for the first time yesterday as it was my husbands birthday. The lady who took the order was so friendly and said she would call when almost ready to collect. My daughter went into collect and was asked if it was a first time order and she said yes it was to celebrate her Dads birthday. She was asked his name and a card was written and a piece of delicious chocolate cake put in a box with a birthday greeting. How thoughtful and what a kind gesture. The food was absolutely delicious and it tasted so fresh and you could tell the ingredients were quality. I loved the cardboard packaging too. We all agreed it was the best Indian/Bangladeshi meal we’d had. Thank you. Tasty food and excellent customer service is a rare thing these days. We have been recommending to lots of people already.

Ordered after being recommended by a friend. It’s not your typical curry house, it’s so much better. Ordered delivery and was surprised by how much care goes into preparing it. The presentation when it arrives is amazing (hard to get from a takeaway), and having vegetarian and vegan friends we got to pick from the whole menu. We all loved the flavours, and the lamb madras I ordered was unreal. I’m really hoping you open a restaurant but until then, it’s the only takeaway for a curry I will now go to in Chelmsford.

Had read all the hype about this takeaway so was really looking forward to trying it. Very disappointed, delivery took over two hours and the food was tepid and mediocre. Won’t be bothering again there are much better Indian takeaways in Chelmsford.

Would recommend to anyone who likes traditional food. The spices were spot on. The complimentary tea was such a nice touch and the interior is so clean and comfortable. Efficient online ordering and delivery on time. Food was excellent- packaging much better than the usual foil containers. 10% discount on first order was not applied but no matter we really enjoyed the food.

We generally don’t order Indian takeaway as it’s always more of the same and the quality is almost always disappointing. We’d been meaning to try Kaana Kaani for a while having heard good things and WOW, as foodies we were blown away. The lamb shank is just divine. A beautiful, succulent and large piece of lamb cooked in a perfectly balanced and tasty sauce, hot but not too spicy. Curries were made for cooking on the bone 🍖 so this hit the spot in every way possible. I don’t know what’s happened to rice from takeaways recently as it all gets waterlogged, blown and tastes horrible but this was perfect and quality basmati. Paneer tikka was lovely as a starter. Portion sizes are great too. If it seems a bit more expensive than some other takeaways, it isn’t, it’s actually far better value for money in terms of both quality and quantity. I wish we hadn’t tried it now, this is going to be a regular thing 😂

I was collecting a takeaway, we ordered at 11am on new years and the takeaeay still messed up the collection. We had to wait 1 hour after our collection time, there was very little organisatio and it was total chaos. I guess management prioritised money over staff welfare and customer service.

Kaani Kaana is a takeaway restaurant only, and I placed our 1st order with them for delivery. I was told that the order would be with me within 55 minutes. After one & a half hours of waiting, I called them only to find out that the food was still in the process of being cooked! The order finally arrived after 2 hours which is not acceptable. The food was good to be fair to them, but if they told me that I'd have to wait that long I would have gone elsewhere. After reading all of the good reviews, I must say that I was disappointed.

The food was fantastic, nice and spicy and full of exciting flavours. We had Mimi's chicken curry and the Blackened Beef Bhuna. The chicken was so tasty and had a nice kick to it, but the beef was my favourite. Dry, tender, and the fried onions and dry red chilli gave it a real depth of flavour. It's like something my nana used to cook. Only downside was I wish I had a bigger portion!! I'll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes. Ordering was quick and easy via their website and the amazing welcome I received when picking up my food was a lovely surprise.

Yelina, the hostess who hosted us was extremely warm and kind. She made us feel comfortable and even recommended me a curry, I ended up changing my mind! The atmosphere is nice and cosy, the lights aren’t too bright they’re dim but not too dark, just perfect! The food is absolutely to die for, I always order on Deliveroo so thought I’d come in today!

Phenomenal takeaway BUT.... I absolutely love this takeaway, I'm a Bilash convert! serice, portion size and taste all great. BUT... My wife is pescatarian, and the fish curry often has bones in it. We end up ordering the prawn puri starter. if they could do a prawn masala or the puri as a main size that would be great!
